Belomi demanded they let her go, and Echo waited for them to have completely let her go before she stood up. Her face tilted to look back at them, making sure there wasn't an attack to come at her back before she looked at Belomi. Her eyes took in the sight of him, and she was grateful that he wasn't harmed. She hadn't meant to get this involved with him, but now that she was she knew that she would do anything for him. Even disobey--even betray her queen. Because what was happening here was wrong. She had to warn him but she had to make sure no one knew about her aiding them. Nia would try again if this failed, and Echo needed to make sure she could protect him--them.
"I need to speak with you." She had to say the next part in case the assassin was watching, but once they were inside she would explain more. "The submit is a trap." The words were meant to get attention, but she it wasn't the trap--she was. Only Echo wasn't about to let it close on him. For now however, she had to play her part and let the assassin think it was working. So she had to wait for him to take her inside so they could speak alone before she warned him.

Echo watched the assassin that Nia was sending, and knew that this was were everything was going to fall. Nia would do this and war would be upon them. She was supposed to go to the Mountain, where she knew Belomi would be, and have him storm into the summit while shooting. Lexa would declare war on the Sky People, the Sky People on the Ice Nation--everyone would be at war. Nia turned to her, and told her to see it done. Echo gave a nod, and she turned to walk away. The assassin would be watching so she could not give any warning that she was going to do the one thing that she would rather die then do--she was going to disobey, and betray her people.
Once she got close, Echo purposefully let herself get taken. The guards bound her, and pulled her toward the mountain. It was the the first time she was taken to this place. Seeing Belomi and a grounder girl running toward her she called out his name. "Belomi!" They couldn't let others know about them, but at this point she was here to 'betray' him anyway. Besides, the assassin was watching to make sure she got in--Echo could not tell him of the trap until they were alone and inside the place of evil. Then she had to hope there was a way to make sure this didn't happen--without Nia knowing what Echo had done. The guard kicked her knee, and Echo fell to knees on the ground. He was lucky she was not here to kill, or he would be dead!

Echo believed in one thing more then she believed in anything--death before dishonor. Dishonor would normally count as disobeying a direct order from the commander herself. Nia would not approve of Echo going back to help the Sky People either. It mattered not what she did, she was disobeying. Echo managed (with the aid of a rebelling Trikru) to break from the group, and circle back. They were too late. The mountain had fallen . . . as he promised. The Sky People were as ruthless as the Ice Nation. Word would spread quickly of the fate of the biggest enemy they had being killed, and Echo knew that she should be the one to take the news back to Nia. Instead she sent it with another, and had them explain that Echo would gather information as too what the Sky People would do now. Would they taken the withdraw as an act of war?
The Ice nation would.
She would not approach the gate, but instead waited for the Sky People to get out. Seeing Belomi with them, Echo followed them. None seem to know she was even there. She waited until he moved enough from the group that she could move close. As he passed by a tree Echo reached out to touch his jacket, ready to make sure the weapon in his hand didn't turn toward her. Once she saw it was her, she stepped back into the shade, not disappearing, but making sure the others couldn't see her. "I need a words with you." She told him, glad that he looked unharmed. Whatever had happened to take down the mountain had not cost him his life. This pleased her more then it should have. He was a Sky Person, and Nia would never allow there to be peace. Be it tomorrow or when the winter came, or when the summer came . . . they would be a war. He had shown her that he was not like the others. That he held honor. She respected that. Respected him.

The ark. That was this thing, but it had once been near the stars and then came here. Echo didn't show her confusion, but she had been curious about how they lived with no plants. No animals to hunt. She wasn't going to ask of it right now, as she was still working on the things she needed to know now, before she worked on learning about what they used to be like. Stepping a step closer to where he was, she looked down at the keys while he explained what it was, but Echo didn't care.
Clearly this wasn't a weapon, and she was trying to figure him out more then this music maker. Looking at him she studied his face while trying to understand which man was predominate in him. The longer he was here, the more it seemed the other. She wasn't sure about who that man valued, what he valued. Did he see her as a weakness too? She wanted to feel close to him, but she wasn't sure how to breach this space between them. Which often left her feeling angry, because warriors were not supposed to feel this. They were supposed to be strong and sure--defiant if needed. Obeying when needed. Words didn't come easy to her now, and she wished she knew what was in his head so she could do something! Just standing here made her feel as if she'd go mad. "It's different then drumbs." Softer. "There is much different here."

He didn't believe her. Smart man. She had been send to lie and manipulate the situation, and she had done it--for her daughter. Everything she had done was for her. Echo didn't care that they had hollowed out the mountain in effort to send a message to Lexa--she would have supported it--but she wasn't going to let him die. He had kept his word, and she had been unable to keep her's. Lexa's cowardice would be her down fall. She regretted his people were the price, but blood would have blood. She had gotten him and his sister out. It had been more then she was ordered too. If Nia knew then she would have killed Hali on the spot. It had been a risk, but she'd done it for the dept she'd owed him.
"So I'm going to ask again, why are you here?" She saw his eyes fall to Hali, and Echo's hand moved out to push her back behind. She didn't want him thinking to take revenge. He had killed children before. "I am only passing through," She bit out, tired of the circles they spoke in. "And am in a hurry, so go back behind your wall, and let me be on my way." This time her daughter moved to Echo's other side to peek out, stepping more out from behind her mother. It was then she also heard movement out int he woods. Echo pulled Hali closer to her, and looked around, before looking back at Belomi. "Are you with others?" If not then the hunters who would be sent after her were close. Either way she needed to disappear.

"This is our territory," She knew that, it was why she was crossing it. Her people did not go too deeply into the Skykru's lands unless armed in number. She needed quick, and she needed safe--after weighing the odds, this one had been her best chance. Had she known she would meet him while doing ti, Echo might not have risked it. Her eyes looked for the others in his 'our' but she saw no one. She would have heard if more approached, but she had only heard the one. And even then not until it was too late. Echo said nothing to his first words, and was debating on running until he spoke again. "What the hell are you doing here?" She wouldn't admit to being on her own and on the run, not while she didn't know the extend of his anger. She needed to find a way to make him send her on her way, so she could get her daughter to safety. She could feel Hali moving to peek out from behind her, but Echo never moved her eyes away from the weapon before her. He was dangerous in wrath and she wasn't going down like the mountain did. "You should return to your people." She told him once again, knowing she would be followed. "And let us be on our way. We are not here for your people." This didn't need to be a fight.

Echo still did not join her mother by the throne, but instead stayed back in the crowd and watched the others who had come. Not all were as calm as their leader seemed to be. It made her watchful for their actions, and trying to see what they were capable of. 'I am not interested in your thanks, Skykru.' Nia stood and walked a few steps toward him. 'I want to know why you are here.' She knew, she just wanted to maintain her power by putting them on the defense. Echo had told her mother before of the man who kept his word. Finally Echo moved to step closer as well, but only a few steps. She wasn't meaning it as a threat, but for both of their protection. She would not let either harm the other.
Nia looked to Echo before looking back at Belomi. She was thinking, Echo could see that. Her mother had played this game of power for longer then most of them had been alive. If she decided to trust the Skykru, then she would have a way in mind to use them. If she decided they were to be killed--then Echo knew it would be hell getting them out. Him out. She owed nothing to the others. Still, she had seen his ruthlessness. She would not want it turned on her people. So for now, she waited to see why he'd come, and hoped it was enough to hold her mother's pleasure.

The sounds that came from the thing he sat at where sharp high pitched echos in her ears. At first it had made her mentally flinch at the sounds but then they mellowed out into something softer. Echo stepped closer, and watched him. His back was too her so for the moment she was not worried about guarding her thoughts behind the wall that warriors took on. Without her boots, her feet had moved soundlessly down the metal halls of this place. Rosa behind the locked door sleeping.
She had wanted to know where Vallier went. They had been at odds since coming here, and Echo didn't like it. She had given up everything to be with him, and the only thing they seemed to be able to do was stare at each other like children who didn't know what to make out of a creature it had never seen. She was tired of it, but didn't know how to move past it. Here they wore everything so openly. She knew which ones were pleased and which were in love and which were sad---if she had to attack there was so much weakness here! . . . yet they saw her as weak instead and it was odd. She had seen the way they looked at her when they couldn't tell what she was thinking. They thought her odd.
Walking up behind him, she passed by to stand beside the wooden box that made such sounds. Leaning slightly she looked inside it, before pulling back to look at him. Another difference. Her people used voice and drums. His used this to make music. Perhaps they were too different. "You have done this before." She told him, clearly being able to tell he had. Another sign that he was not Vallier. He was Belomi.

It was worse then an Skyperson--it was Bellamy. Echo didn't lower her blade until he did his gun. Even then she made sure to shift constantly so that if he moved, she moved, and was always between him and Hali. While she would have once trusted him, she didn't any longer. She had led him into a trap, and she had seen the results of his anger before. He had killed children then too. He had killed everyone then. He spoke, but she didn't reply at first, as she was trying to tell if he was alone, and her next coarse of action. Running was out of the question, he had his weapon and he he wanted her dead she didn't stand a chance long range.
Which meant she needed to know the risks. How angry was he? And was he here too kill. "I am not here for you." She told him, still not looking away from his face, or moving to expose her daughter. She was just passing through but she wasn't about to admit she was here, alone, and on the run. "Go back behind your wall." Before Azgeda caught him here alone---before they caught either of them out here alone. Everything was tense right now, and if either of them were caught they would be killed. Her for abandoning her people, him for being who he was.

She had not wanted to leave, she had wanted to fight. She had wanted to kill the ones who had done this to her. Instead the commander was calling for an all retreat! When Nia heard of this weakness she would be out raged! Lexa had made a deal with the devils in the mountain, and there was nothing Echo could do about it. She knew that she should be heading home soon, but she always wanted to go back and fight. Take down as many as she could! Blood for blood! She'd watched them kill many of her own, and slowly drain her blood from her!
Every step hurt, for she was weak and still of bare feet. She knew she needed food, and rest before she was able to take on the mountain. She was being guarded, to make sure she would not try to go back. Being vocal had left whomever was in charge of this section untrusting of her. They ere not of the Ice Nation--if they were then they could know that she was Echo! One of Nia's favorites and not to be mistreated! She was a strong warrior! She was to be obeyed! Not forced to walk away from the fight that the commander was too cowardly to fight!
It was then she noticed one of her own. Thenn . For a second she was glad to see her friend, before she remembered how he had abandoned years of his training because he had lost someone. Everyone has lost someone, but he had given up, and stopped fighting. Still, in her weakened state she was too tired to turn her back to him and ignore him in effort to shame him. She noticed too that he had a sword with him. Was now when he picked it up again? Now after so long? Why? She said nothing, just watching him, while hiding her emotions behind her warrior's face. She was glad to see him, but he had given up on everything she believed in--honor and unyielding loyalty to the life of a warrior.
Why was he here?

"I'm looking for someone." He told her, and it didn't take Echo but a moment to know who he was looking for--everyone here was looking for someone. She could guess who it was. "I need to break off." Was she near? Echo was torn, because on one hand she was loyal to Nia and unquestionably so--and on the other she owed a dept of blood. She wasn't sure which was stronger, loyalty or honor. "And the warrior's clothes you were? When someone looks for him will they find death?" She asked, trying to make up her mind.
A part of her already knew what would happen. She would do nothing to expose him, and she would aid him into walking from this place--then she would think no more on it. Wanheda could not hide int he Ice Nation forever, and she was not about to pit the next army against him . . . not after seeing him kill the last one. There was no magic here to aid him in killing everyone, but the Sky People were ruthless. They killed without mercy, and their enimeies suffered great losses. It was not a war she'd help start. "I will send you to scout, once the elder is a bit more away. Stay the curse." For another few moments until it was safe. "You seek one of your people?" She asked, knowing there was many of his up here.

They had to make it as far as they could before Nia knew they were gone. With the unrest going on, it would take her longer then it might have under normal events--however Nia's eyes were on Polis, and not on Echo. It was why she had taken her daughter and went south. Luna wouldn't risk taking in anyone that would cause her trouble, and Echo would not stay with any she deemed weak. She was headed much more south, beyond the clans if she could. Beyond Lexa's or Nia's reach.
Her daughter, whom was six, followed by her side as they kept moving. They walked silently in the woods, for even Hali new the dangers. While she might not know the details, Echo had never lied to her about what was int he world. That would only make Hali weak, and Echo despised weakness. When she heard another moving around she reached out to still her daughter, while pulling a blade out. She wasn't an idiot. She had lead them into a trap and gotten many of them killed. Nia had used her daughter to make sure it was done. Now she was a clanless. And was caught in the open.

HE IS SUCH A BIG BABY! I LOVE IT!!!
I love their voices! His voice is deeper when he says her name! Bellamy Blake pointed out that his was full of concern, and then if you hear her tone it's lighter with relief!
I can't find the gif of it, but the guards kick her to the ground to make her kneel before Bellamy!!
