On Earth, there had been little she feared. She had been raised under Nia's rule and had become harder, and faster then any of the clans. She was feared by many, and she had welcomed that fear. She had never thought about death. If she died n battle then she would die a warrior's death. Yet Primfya had shown her what fear of death really was. Then space had shown her fear. She had been unused to such fears, but had found a way to move past them thanks to Bellamy. With all her ties to the world she had known gone, there was now only him. He was her people. He was her loyalty.
Now, when she was just learning to be stronger, and of real value here, she was sick. Admitting the weakness wasn't in her ability, yet it was hard to hide the signs. She lost weight, parts of her body hurt, she was sick often with little to explain it. It was as if her body was rejecting space. To add to her situation, she was growing tired more often. She struggled to put in as much as before. She hated the weakness.
Rather then socialize with the others she went to bed, and was resting when Bellamy walked in. He sat on the edge of the bed, and touched her face, a move that comforted her. She had betrayed him, more then once, and yet they had worked toward trust. It had been hard work, but she was grateful for it. "It is getting worse," she admitted to him with a strong tone, almost as if she was talking about someone else, not wanting to worry him but knowing that he was the only one she would ever admit it too.
She didn't trust the others. Murphy and Emori were too manipulative, and Raven valued only the strong. Pushing to sit up she leaned forward to rest her forehead on his shoulder. She now had a new fear; and that was dying up here. "But not bad enough that I cannot continue." She would keep going until she was dead.

They had been in the sky for months, growing closer to a year. Echo had used this time to try and find where she now belonged, since she was no longer Azgeda. Over the years, her people who no longer see her as one of them. She had spent her whole live serving them, serving Nia, and now it was for naught. She was no one. She was nothing--so nothing would be what was. She'd be a ghost. She'd no longer serve ice, but blood. If Octavia Kom Skykru could do it, then so could see.
Only she would not serve a memory, but a man. "If you expect to win, you cannot hold back." She bit out to that said man. "You fight like a mountain man. Like Skykru. If you intend to aid your sister, then you will have to be stronger then one clan." Moving forward she attacked--again. Moving swift, with a force behind each of her trust. After a short attack she moved back. "Have you found my weakness yet?"
This was her days. Work to live, live longer to work harder tomorrow. By evening she taught him to fight, and by night she asked him to teach her to read. There was only so much company up here--she was even learning to tolerate the one who spoke too much. However, right now it was not the Mer-fee she was thinking of, but Bellamy. "Your weakness will get your sister killed. You will be her weakness." He loved his guns, but how long would they last? How would he demand respect if he could only hide behind them?

They survived? That didn't tell her anything. He was very forced on this idea. "Sounds thrilling." She said in the same tone had had used. She watched him, trying to read what she could from his face and body language. He admitted to just trying to keep everyone alive, and asked her what she was trying to do. "I am a spy. What good is a spy or general with no enemies?" She didn't have a purpose here. She didn't have anything to do here besides wait and protect her king--and he kept telling her he didn't need it.
She looked around here, and then back at him. In her world, she knew exactly what was expected of her and how she would do the task that she had to do. Here, she didn't have anything to do but wait. "Will it always be like this between us?" She asked, not bothering to dance around the tension between them. She didn't want to be at odds with him. She had keep the secret of his man who had almost shot Roan from her king, and she had admitted that she had tried to protect him. She didn't expect them to be friends, but they were allies now and she didn't want there to be this between them.

This is why they were weak. No hunting. No fighting. Nothing to train for, nothing to DO but wait. She would die here, and it leveled a panic deep inside. She was used to living each day fighting for the next--and now she had nothing to do but wait and protect her king, and wait some more. It seemed maddening.
She turned to look at him, keeping her face free of the emotion this place stirred. "And now we shall die here." She countered, not bothering to hide the fact that they would not live long enough to see the end of primefira, even if they managed not to kill each other and grow old. Growing old hadn't been her plan. "What did your people to do when living with the stars?" Besides walk in circles and grow weak. "What will you do now?" She took a few steps closer, but didn't move closer then that. She wasn't afraid of him, but nor did she need a reason for him to start something that he couldn't finish if he attacked her. Maybe that was what they could do. She could teach him to stop hiding behind the guns. Even if they served him well.

No wonder they had known so little of the world--they had been so cut off from it. Echo walked around the place, annoyed that her footsteps couldn't be silent in this steel box where even her breathing seemed to echo off the walls, like her name sake. She was also struggling to find her way around. She wasn't lost, but she didn't know where she was going. Nothing made sense with these halls and no trees. Nothing seemed to look or smell, or even be different. It was gray, it was ugly, and she was in hell.
She ended up entering the large open room behind Bellamy. She wondered briefly if being here together would soften his anger, but once he spoke she knew it wouldn't be so. She could deal with his anger. She had made sure he and his sister wasn't dead. The others weren't his people but the ones fighting hers for so long. She hadn't known that he had others in there eh cared about or should not have returned his favor of saving her life by taking one he valued. "I don't care about the beds, as long as your walls are good enough." She walked past him and looked around the large room. She could find her way to about anywhere from here, but going to other places from other places was still tricky. "This is how you lived?" She said it as a statement more then a question. No hunting, no running, no war.

She was done being a spy. That much was clear as Echo moved amidst the people, not pausing to check on anyone. Nia's general was dead--Roan had used him until this point, when the job had fallen to Echo. One she welcomed--perhaps too much. With Roan weak the control of the city was weak--and Echo hated weak. It was why she was seeking out a group of hoodlums from another clan who was drawing notice. She needed to know what they were up too.
Her men flanked her back as she approached a small gathering of men, taking note of their numbers and weapons. The smaller one seemed to be in a leaderish role, though she had learned long ago that small meant little in a fight. Trishanakru. "You have your men moving purposely thought the city. To what purpose?" She asked out right, ready to find out and put down any rebellion they thought they might have. She didn't need another clan trying to rise up against a weak king. She wasn't going to let Azgeda fall under her command---she'd die first. And she wasn't planning on dying today.

Like many of her people, Echo did not enjoy the fact that Lexa had made Azgeda heel and obey. Trikru had been their foes for a long time, and watching them fail to kill someone of so few--after they had made the ice nation surrender--was either maddening or humorous. Echo wasn't sure which it was, but either way she would not raise the emotion. She was Nia's puppet while here, and anything she said could affect the queen. Which was why she didn't react to permission to killing the ones who traveled north. "How many are there of them?" A question, not a demand. Echo wasn't stupid. here was a reason she was one of the best scouts and spy that Nia had. It was because she knew what information was important, and what wasn't. If she was going to go look at these people from the sky, then she needed to know how many, and what to expect.
"When they cross the border, Azgeda will see they do not uncross it." Echo promised. "What of the mountain men?" She asked, her tone still holding just enough respect to not get herself killed without being humble. "Word has spread that their first move was to join them." Did that mean they were trying to join forces, or did they not know of the evil that lurked under the stone? That was one area that Trikru and Azgeda could unit on--the mountain was not to be crossed, and if they were trying to get to the mountain men, then they needed to be dealt with before they could join the fight.

The one who talked a lot finally got what she needed, and she used the stick to tighten the belt and keep the blood from moving everywhere. Roan said he knew of some herbs, and it reminded her of something she had forgotten about. Echo didn't really need such things, as she hadn't been bitten. MOst the time the sneaks didn't bother people. Even when stepping close. The healer had to step almost on it, or on it's next to make it react like this. "He is right," she began, looking away from Roan to Bellamy, "but you are not. We can't give him something for everything, as taking the herb without needing it could kill him faster. But he gave us enough." Not the dragon bit. They better be glad that wasn't what had bit him. Drgoons were large things, and could eat them.
"I saw cliffs in the distance before we made camp. There will be some of the herb for the couphed--the snake--there." Maybe. She looked at the healer, and spoke in a low tone that she hoped he didn't really hear or understand. "If not, then he is dead by tomorrow's sun set." They had to get it to him soon. Waste no time. She looked back at Roan, and watched his face for a moment before telling him what the best plan was--which wasn't good being he was her king, but he was also her friend and that was who she was speaking too right now. "You stay with him. You know best how to keep him from dying before I get back." Then she looked at Bellamy, who had said they would split up. "I will go with you. We will need rope. We will have to climb to get to it."

They'd had him for a few days, and Echo knew what would happen if they continued holding him for much longer. Once the ambassadors, or witnesses, gathered, Nia would slowly kill him and take in his power. He had killed many, and she wanted to be known as the one who killed him. If she couldn't get her hands on Lexa's newest lover, she would do it to Belomi. Echo had a plan though, to get him away from here before the killing took place. She had been the one to deliver his food for the last few days, and had spoken with him about it. Mostly in words with doubt meanings, since others were around.
She needed another day to have what she needed in place, so for tonight she would guard him as ordered. Walking down the steps into the darken rooms below, the torch that was kept by his cell door caused shadows to cast ominously over his small cell and body. As she got before his cell, she looked over at him; taking in how Nia had kept him chained. He had enough slack to sit--for now. She looked back to the guard, and dismissed him. He would report back in the morning.
She waited to hear him leave all the way before she opened his cell, and entered. There was a pully by the door, and as she pulled on the chain there, it caused the shackles on his arms to force him to stand, even forcing his arms to stand apart from his body. Walking slowly toward him, she tilted her head slightly. He had only been allowed to keep his pants, to help prevent his escape, so she reached her fingers to lightly trace the indentions that his muscles made. "You should rest well tomorrow," she said so softly that it would be hard for even him to hear her at this close range. "For the night . . . you will need your strength," Her eyes lifted to his. They could not talk about the plans, for if any over heard she'd be dead with him. But she was telling him what she could--to be ready. Her voice got slightly louder, though just enough to make sure he very plainly heard her. "Until then . . . " Her fingers stopped moving as her palm pushed him back to the wall, "what shall I do with you." Though her tone was clear.

When you walked into a den of bears, you stepped with a light foot. Echo, a warrior of the Ice Nation, was now walking solo into the commander's camp, well aware that she was surrounded by the very people she had once fought against. The people that she had killed the brother's and sister's of. It was why she she did so with an inward caution, and an outward arrogance; because at any moment they could turn on her, but if she was going to die she wanted them to see she was proud to have done what she had done. The Ice Nation might have been forced to submit, and build an alliance; but she was a warrior who still served her Queen before commander--she would obey the commander, but unlike the Tree People, it was not blind obedience--it was because she had no other choice.
Once she was shown to the commander's tent, Echo walked to the center and faced the commander. "Heda, ai laik Echo kom Azgeda." She told her in their language before switching to the language only warriors spoke, "And I have been sent by my queen to find out what you have learned of the invaders, and how you planned to kill them." Her tone wasn't overly arrogant, and held just the right amount of respect. She wasn't trying to get killed but the commander held an army of hundreds, and now she faced two enemies she could not defeat--the Mountain and the Sky People. Echo was also very careful to make sure she was aware of all of Derrick warriors that were in the room--for Nia had killed the commander's lover, and as a favorite of Nia's, Echo knew she could find herself in the same fate. More so, since one could assume that as Nia's favorite, she might have had a hand in the killing. With luck, no one would bring that up now. Especially since it was Echo how had been the one to sneak into Polis and put the dead girl's head in the bed that she had once shared with her lover.

Echo was not using a tent. She had spent too long keeping herself alive to set up a big ungly box that proclaimed right were they were. She was annoyed they were even using them! Still, what they wanted to do was their own business. She wasn't here to tell them they were like children running around the forest. They were going to get themselves killed. If puanna was out there, and came this way, then she had a prime target! Thankfully, this far north there wasn't too many of them. They stayed more south of Azgeda, and to the lands of the west. She wasn't on the look out for them.
She was awakened by a voice yelling, and years of training at her alert on an instant. Pushing from where she was sleeping against a tree, she stood up and quickly crossed the distant to where the yelling came form. Bending to one knee, she pulled back the flap and took in the sight. Belomi and Jaksun were there. She didn't enter until she saw the wound. "Lik goufa," she hissed under her breath, at seeing the healer down. Moving in, she pushes to the other side of the healer and looked up at Belomi, "Belt, now!" She demanded, pulling out her dagger, "A Stick, and water!" Echo also demanded, of whoever was standing by!
Had they gotten to him just moments after the bite, they could have saved him with out an issue, but the longer they wait, the deeper the poison entered the body. They would not be able to heal this on their own! Echo didn't say it, but she doubted the healer would make it very long. If she could get most of it out then maybe a day, two if he was strong. "Disha ste foto," another annoyed hiss, as she used the belt given to her to tie his leg tightly, and prevent more poison from spreading. Using her dagger, she cut the bite area more, and then bent over it to suck the tainted blood out, spitting it to the side, and repeating it again. Once she had the water, she used it to rise out her mouth.

Echo took a deep breath before continuing, as she was slightly out of breath from the rush to get here. "I was trying to gain insight on the commander and Skikru, as she was going to war with them with reapers over took me. I was taken into the mountain there, and made a prisoner. Maybe of your people were there as well. The commander made a deal with Skikru to fight together to bring them down." Echo paused now, knowing the rest of the information would not go as easy. Apparently this was already known to most. From what she learned, Nia had even sent warriors to help.
"During the assault, a new truce was made. The commander made a deal with the mountain, and abandoned Skikru." The move had cost many their honor. "We were freed, but not given the right to claim blood for blood after they had had hung us by out feet and drained us of our own blood for weeks!" She was angry, and she stepped a sling step closer. "She has sworn we will not make a move against the mountain ever again! She had removed all our honor!"
Echo took a breath, letting that settle before she spoke, "But it matters not. The mountain as fallen. Skikru killed them all. The warriors, the civilians, the children even. I saw the bodies myself. They were all dead." As Belomi had promised. He had killed everyone in this mountain! She had a respected for him that she had not thought she would have for a Skikru. He had kept his honor, and she had not been given the chance to return the favor.

Echo was summoned, so she pulled on her large gray coat, and left her tent. She wasn't the type to acknowledge any worry she felt, but Nia summoning her meant she would be heading out soon--knowing that Roan was working with Lexa to lift his banishment--left Echo wondering what mood she would find Nia in. Her normal rage, or something even more deadly.
She walked into the throne room, and dropped to one knee, bowing her head, before standing back to her tall warrior's stance. Nia wasted no time to informing her that she knew the commander had the skygirl. Echo had given Nia the name, when she asked who had killed everyone. She had done it to protect Belomi. Had Nia been given his name, she would have sent warriors after him as well.
"As always I will help my Queen with my life." Echo said, still playing her part. Though she had a feeling she knew what Nia would ask of her. It would not be the first time that Echo had put a head in Lexa's bed. "I do not think the commander will be after Wanheda's power. She is took weak to make the kill. She has forgotten she was a warrior with honor once, and now heals to her enemies for fear of defeat." She was spoken with contempt. Echo hated her for taking away her right to get even with the mountain.

Echo had been given a horse from the warrior Alekay, who had helped he escape Lexa's imprisonment, and she now road the brown animal into the city. She road it directly to the door of the largest building, and dismounted, leaving it there for one of Nia's workers to tend too. She was known here. They would do it. Though she had not returned for over a month. She had been a prisoner of the Mountain.
Echo felt numb, and sick to what she had seen--years of serving Nia had still left her unprepared for the sight. Echo didn't pause at the doors, bu instead pushed them open, and walked directly toward the large throne, stepping before one of the ambassadors who were speaking to their Queen, and drooping to one knee in a show of substitution before standing, and looking at Nia.
Echo was her most trusted scout, and spy, which was ironic because she was also spying on Nia for her son Roan. However, today she was not here for that, she was here to deliver the news of their enemy's death. Echo didn't know if the Queen knew she was taken to the Mountain, or not, but she was alive--and in thanks to this Belomi who had kept his word. Lexa had prevented her from keeping her own. She wanted this to enrage Nia, and to make her over power Lexa, bring her son back . . . and make peace with the Skikru. "I bring news from the south; of the commander and the Mountain." She said breathlessly, waiting for permission to continue before delivering the rest of news.
