The Sky Warriors came to them, and the warriors gathered around. They were not in their own lands, but nor were they in the lands that belonged to the Sky People. At first everyone was hesitant to allow them this close--everyone knew of the mountain's fall. Sky People fought like mountain men, but Echo knew they held more honor. At least one of them did. She stood back and watched as one of the Sky People broke off from the few with him. Belomi. She moved closer, though still behind him, to hear what was being said as he addressed her mother. Her mother being Nia, the queen of the Ice Nation. 'Welcome, Sky People.' Her mother told him, but it was more in a display of power then a real welcome. 'I am Nia, queen of the Azgeda'
The last time she had saw Belomi was in the mountain before it's fall. She was in a cage and he had promised to return for her--and he had. Had the commander of the tree nation not disgraced herself and made a deal with her enemies, then she would have fought with him to bring blood to the ones who had take blood. However, before she realized what was happening, they had been outside and forced to leave. Echo had wasted no time returning to the mountain with the aid of Alekay, a warrior from the tree nation--and together they had found the dead. Returning home, she brought word of the disgrace and soon enough word of TonDC spread. Her mother had lost her general there, and his second had returned with her. Antol had brought word of TonDC to them. Now they were at war for the failures. Lexa would pay for it with her blood.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Don't screw this up. That was what Kane had told him when he departed to the Ice Nation lands to meet with the queen. He had somehwat of a rapport with them -- compared to most other Arkers anyway - due to his interactions with them inside Mount Weather. Especially one Grounder in particular who clearly had a lot of influence. Enough to bring him here, to put his trust in this plan. If they allied themselves with Azgeda, it could mean somewhat peace for their people. Well, peace against this particular clan. Though with what Lexa had one, she wasn't exactly everyone's favorite commander from what Bellamy had heard. The journey there was long and as they reached the north lands . . . the air was colder than what he was used to.
Still, he was dressed accordingly in his typical Arker attire. The Queen was instantly recognizable with the mere authority she held. The presence. Shortly after she introduced herself. "Bellamy kom Skaikru," he introduced in return. He refused to bow to her. He was not here to submit to the Grounders. He was here to try and prevent their army from wiping out the Arkers. His eyes briefly glanced to Echo who was among them, but did not let his gaze linger long. They were quickly to meet Nia's. "Mochof. For meeting with us." He didn't trust Grounders. But right now, they had no choice to. This could easily be an ambush . . . a way to eliminate some of their peope. His gut told him no, and usually, he trusted his instincts. But he also knew that one wrong word . . . and they would have his head. He wasn't naive to that, but nor would he show fear.

Echo still did not join her mother by the throne, but instead stayed back in the crowd and watched the others who had come. Not all were as calm as their leader seemed to be. It made her watchful for their actions, and trying to see what they were capable of. 'I am not interested in your thanks, Skykru.' Nia stood and walked a few steps toward him. 'I want to know why you are here.' She knew, she just wanted to maintain her power by putting them on the defense. Echo had told her mother before of the man who kept his word. Finally Echo moved to step closer as well, but only a few steps. She wasn't meaning it as a threat, but for both of their protection. She would not let either harm the other.
Nia looked to Echo before looking back at Belomi. She was thinking, Echo could see that. Her mother had played this game of power for longer then most of them had been alive. If she decided to trust the Skykru, then she would have a way in mind to use them. If she decided they were to be killed--then Echo knew it would be hell getting them out. Him out. She owed nothing to the others. Still, she had seen his ruthlessness. She would not want it turned on her people. So for now, she waited to see why he'd come, and hoped it was enough to hold her mother's pleasure.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy remained unmoved, unphased as she neared him. He would not show fear, not tremble in her presence -- which seemed to be what most Grounders wanted. But he wasn't afraid of them. He wouldn't give that to them. "Your commander betrayed our alliance," he began to say. His words witheld any anger in his tone. Despite the rage he had toward it . . . his statement was fact. Simple, indisputable fact. And it was precisely how he had said it. "But my people do not want a war." The Grounders were always war hungry; always ready to fight. Warriors since birth. They didn't know anything else.
"I come here to propose an alliance between our people." And he would leave it at that, to see how she would react. To get some sort of idea as to the direction of this conversation and where it would lead to. This didn't mean he trusted them, or even fully expected them to honor this alliance. But . . . they had no other choice. He'd heard about the wrath of Azgeda, and at least this way . . . they could at least slow any attack. Prolong it if it was indeed inevitable. Time would tell whether Nia was different from Lexa. Besides, right now . . . it wasn't as if Nia held his people in her clutches. Well, apart from him.
