Being alone made her think about everything. She thought about Hadley and how this was going to affect his life in mount weather. She thought about how the whole thing would be for his father for helping her leave in the first place. Faye had never been fond of the idea of people putting their asses on the line for her, yet she had done the same thing so many times for people she loved. Then she thought about how she was going to help the other kids and how she was going to get them out of there. Thoughts of having to leave Hadley entered her mind and it made her frown. That's not what she wanted. But she also knew she couldn't stay here forever. Faye knew her life would not be a long one if she remained in mount weather.
Hadley walked back into the room and she smiled at him. He crawled into bed behind her and brought her close to his body. There it was again. That feeling of safety that she couldn't shake. She felt good with him. A soft chuckle left her lips when she felt him kiss her neck. Asking her what she was thinking about, Faye took a moment to debate her answer. After a moment, she sighed. "You," she said softly. She thought about her feelings for him and how much she didn't want to leave him. How much she wanted him in general.

Part of her couldn't get over how innocent he was and how easy it was to make him blush. But the other part of her thought it was nice and definitely a change from any boys she had flirted with before. It was a welcome change and Faye felt good about spending her time with Hadley. He suggested trying some tea and she nodded in agreement. The sound of alcohol sounded nice, especially after the day she was having, but she knew that he didn't want to mess with her system too much. Grinning at him, she was glad to see that he could have some fun too. "Of course this is where I want to be," she said. While she wasn't in the best of shape, she wasn't completely turned off to the idea of having some fun with him. But she knew he was likely not ready for anything like that.
"Thank you," she said when he brought her some tea. Faye picked up the mug and brought it to her lips, taking a small sip to test the flavor and the temperature. It felt good, running down her throat. It was soothing and definitely what she needed. She watched as Hadley walked away to make himself some and she set her mug down on his nightstand. Faye scooted back down on his bed and laid on her side, staring at the door that Hadley had disappeared to.

She saw tears form in Clarke's eyes and part of her didn't know why. The other part of her guessed it was because Faye was never going to see her child be born. She was going to perish, like everyone else, when the radiation became too high for their bodies to handle. Or if they somehow managed to find a place to ride the radiation out, what sort of life would that be? Faye had to make a decision and while she knew Alex had a say, she couldn't help but to feel like this was all coming down on her shoulders. If she wasn't going to follow through with this pregnancy then she had to make that decision now. But Faye didn't even know how that would happen. Would they even had any medicine to help her do that?
Faye shook her head. She didn't think there were ways to survive this second apocalypse. They had been beyond lucky to survive the first one, including their crash landing to Earth. But this was different. Sure, maybe there were other bunkers but that didn't mean they were still there or even livable anymore. "We don't know where any of those are," Faye whispered. Clarke said she was happy for her and that she would be a great mother. Faye shook her head, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. "I can't do this," she said, her voice cracking. "How can I put my child through this hell?"

Different circumstances would have been ideal, but Faye wasn't so sure things would have progressed the way they had. It was the near death experience that brought them together. Faye's feelings were still real, but she knew she would have been too focused on getting her people out of the mountain. There's no way she would have allowed herself to become as attached to Hadley as she currently was. "Turn it around?" She asked, an amused expression on her face. "One would think that having a woman in your bed would be a good thing." She was teasing him, but Faye couldn't help it. Hadley was making it too easy for her.
He mentioned a few things and she shrugged. "I've never had wine or tea," she said. "We didn't have it on the Ark. There was illegal moonshine occasionally, but even that was hard to come by." And Faye had only had it once or twice on the Ark. It had been a bit more available on the ground though. Faye laughed lightly when he gestured to his room. She knew he didn't mean it in that way, but she couldn't help herself. "Are you trying to sleep with me?" She asked, an eyebrow raised in question. After a moment, she grinned at him. "Sorry. Just teasing. You make it too easy," Faye explained, leaning up and pressing another kiss to his lips. She just couldn't stop kissing him.

He kissed her and she felt his arm wrap around her waist again. Faye breathed into the kiss, placing one of her hands on his shoulder. He pulled away and she smiled, even if she wasn't looking at him in that moment. He asked if she was feeling better and she slowly felt the drugs wearing off. She wasn't in fighting shape or anything but she was feeling better. Maybe she could stand up if she tried, but she didn't feel like leaving the bed. She didn't feel like leaving the bed with Hadley in it. She liked being wrapped in his arms. She liked kissing him. She liked making him blush.
"I'm fine being here with you," Faye said. She wrapped her arms around him and leaned into his touch. She sighed contently. She felt safe in his arms, even if she knew she wasn't actually safe in mount weather. She looked up at him and pressed a kiss to his jaw and then another to his lips. She thought about what it would be like when she left his apartment. She wondered if they would still be like this or if they would go back to simply flirting and laughing together.

His lips pressed to her forehead and she closed her eyes and smiled. The gesture had always brought her comfort. Her mother had done it often when she had been a child and so had her father. It was nice coming from people she cared about. It was a sign of affection that she would never tire of. Faye looked at him as he told her she was beautiful and she rolled her eyes with a laugh. Faye had never been insecure about her looks but she had never obsessed over them either. Looks weren't important in the Ark; survival was.
Feeling his arm move around her waist, she looked up at him and nodded her head. "I wouldn't be opposed to that," she said to him, a soft chuckle leaving her lips. Leave it to a life or death situation to make people confess their feelings or realize how they felt about someone. Faye had always liked Hadley but this was different. She didn't want to let him go and she knew she would have to someday. Because he couldn't go outside and she wouldn't stay in the mountain. So she knew she had to cherish the time that they together.

Faye was thankful for his father and knew that she would have to thank him in person at some point. She didn't know how she was going to repay him but she knew that she had to do something. The man had risked his job and quite possibly his life in order to help her. Faye wouldn't have died from the transfusion but if they did it enough she knew it was very possible. But Faye nodded her head, agreeing to at least stay until his father could come up with something. But if too many days passed by then she knew she would have to leave. She couldn't let them take advantage of her friends. "I do trust you," Faye reminded him. She didn't want him to think that she didn't, because she truly did. It was strange since she hadn't known him that long and her trust was hard to earn, but he certainly had it.
Looking into his eyes, she could see how torn up he was about the whole thing. He was probably more upset about it than she was. "I know," she said, nodding her head. She felt his hand on her cheek and she displayed a small smile. He was so sincere and caring and she wasn't sure what she had done to deserve such a thing.Without thinking, Faye leaned forward and pressed her lips to his in a soft kiss. It was quick and when she pulled away, she looked down for a minute before looking back up at him. "Thank you, again."

She had to resist the urge to roll her eyes at him as he told her that she wasn't going anywhere. Apparently, he didn't know her as well as he thought he did. If she wanted to leave, then she would leave. It may not be in that very moment, but eventually that's what she would have to do. "I can't hide out in your apartment forever," she pointed. Besides, she knew they would conduct a search if things got really bad and it wasn't like they had forests to go hide in. Faye knew that his father was important, but he may not be if they found out he had been responsible for Hadley taking her out of there.
A light laugh left her lips when he stated that she was still weak. Yeah, she knew that. She could feel it and she hated it. There was no feeling in the world that she hated more than weakness. She had prided herself on her strength ever since landing on the ground and now she didn't have it. It was yet another thing the mountain had deprived her of. Nevertheless, she leaned against him as he sat up next to her and even went so far as to rest her head on his shoulder. "No," she said to his offer. She was just tired but she was afraid to go back to sleep. The feeling of his fingers tracing patterns on her hand felt relaxing and her eyes watched as he did that. "I have to get them out of here," Faye whispered after a moment of silence. She didn't want this to happen to anyone else.

Once she was more aware of her surroundings, she stopped trying to move or sit up. She put her head back down and knew it would probably be awhile before she could really move. But she felt antsy, which was a little ironic considering the fact that there were still parts of her body that she couldn't even really feel. He told her that she was in his apartment and she felt his hand on her cheek. She leaned into his touch slightly and closed her eyes for a minute. He was right. They would come looking for her eventually and she didn't want Hadley to get into trouble for taking her here. She would have to leave as soon as she was able to. "You shouldn't have taken me here," Faye said. "I don't want you to get into trouble." They could torture her all they wanted but she would feel horrible if they did something to him because of her.
He continued to apologize and she shook her head. This wasn't his fault. There was no reason for him to apologize. She knew he had promised to keep her safe to the best of his ability, but even she knew it was just a nice gesture. There wasn't anything he could actually do. "Stop apologizing," she said. "This was out of your control. Besides, it was probably my fault. I was trying to find a way to get us out of here." She didn't know how much longer her people had in here. He looked away and she sighed. Faye put all of her strength into sitting up, her back leaning against the headboard of his bed. "Hey," she said, reaching out and touching his hand, squeezing it lightly. "It's not your fault," Faye insisted.

Faye was in and out of consciousness for a while. She saw bits and pieces of faces and she could have sworn she saw Hadley's face at one point. But that wasn't right. He was teaching. There was no reason for him to be in medical. Unless . . . no. He said he would try to keep her safe and she knew he wouldn't betray her. She had trusted him and she still trusted him. But maybe she had just been dreaming. She knew she was heavily drugged so there was no telling what was real and what wasn't.
At one point, she felt her eyes open slowly and she realized she wasn't in medical anymore. She was somewhere else. Somewhere she didn't recognize. Faye felt something on her waist and she realized that it was warm, then she saw that there was something warm next to her as well. She tried to move onto her side so she could see what it was, but she barely had the strength. She whimpered as she struggled but relaxed when she saw that it was Hadley. Had the entire thing been a dream? Had she dreamt that she had been taken? "Hadley?" She whispered, placing a hand on his shoulder in an attempt to wake him up.

A few weeks had passed since Faye had first come across Hadley. They spent a lot of time together, mostly in the library but it was time that Faye enjoyed. She still knew she had to get out of there, especially after Jasper had been used to help heal his friend Maya. Now Faye knew why they wanted them around. They wanted to use their blood as treatments instead of the grounders. But there weren't that many of them and there were hundreds of mountain men as far as she knew. Jasper had suggested volunteering for the blood treatments in hopes that it would buy them more time, but Faye knew that wouldn't work. She knew it was only a matter of time before their volunteering wasn't enough and they started taking kids from the dorms. Faye knew she had been idle for too long. She had to do something to help her people, especially now that Clarke wasn't around. So she started snooping more. She should have known that it wouldn't end well. But Faye wasn't exactly focused on what the outcome for herself would be.
She had been outnumbered. Too many mountain men guards had easily overcome her. She was a fighter but not even she could fight against that many guards. They had dragged her to medical, or something like medical since it wasn't the place she had visited Clarke in when she had cut open her arm. This was a private section of medical and Faye didn't see anyone else. It hadn't taken long for them to drug her and tie her up. One of the doctors had said something about not wanting to deal with her being trouble and she had to admit that it was a smart move on their part. Faye would have never stopped fighting. She hissed in pain when they stuck the needles in her arms but after that things got blurry. She was in and out for who knew how long. But all she did know was that she was fucked.

Happiness. Faye didn't even really know the meaning of the word. Sure, there had been times where her mood seemed happy but she had never found true happiness. Not the happiness that people found in the story books. Faye knew she hadn't been happy on the Ark. Her mother had constantly been fighting for her life until her battle ended, and her father had been floated for stealing. Neither of those events brought happiness to her life and things only got worse when Clarke was arrested. Her whole life was a blur of horrible incidents, one after the other. Things on the ground had been too stressful to even think about being happy. They were too busy trying to survive. No one had time to relax and really enjoy life. Faye wondered if some of the delinquents were truly happy here, and if they were then she didn't want to take that away from them. But she also didn't want them living with happiness that wasn't real. She still didn't feel as if they were safe there.
Faye hummed in agreement and sat down at the table across from him. She had picked up one of the Grimm story books and began looking through it. Most of the titles she didn't recognize and the mere idea got her a little excited. "I don't recognize any of these," she mused after a moment. She smiled down at the book, knowing that she would finally be able to get her hands on some new stories.

She'd be lying if she said she wasn't excited about the idea of getting her hands on an actual Grimm book. She was sure that many details had been left out or changed over the years of the stories being passed down through the generations. Faye wasn't sure why she liked the Grimm version of the fairy tales better than the disney versions. Perhaps it was because she knew stories didn't usually have happy endings and the Grimm versions stuck with that idea. She laughed lightly at Hadley, hearing him list off some of his favorites and claiming to be a geek. "It's fine," she assured him. "The classics were really all we had. But I did enjoy Great Gatsby." She had read 1984 as well but had found the whole thing a little uncomfortable. The idea of the government constantly watching everyone didn't sit well with her and she couldn't help but to feel like her every move was being watched in the mountain.
"I like them all," she said. He listed off of a few of her favorites and she nodded her head. She had heard those ones before. "I enjoyed the one about Cinderella. I don't know, but the idea of these women cutting off their toes because they wanted a shoe to fit was ridiculous," Faye mused. "Well there are happy versions of those stories," Faye pointed out. She laughed lightly at his suggestion of telling him to stop talking. She found his rambling to be cute and she enjoyed listening to him talk. "But I preferred the Grimm ones. I don't know . . . I just found them more realistic. The whole true love and love at first site stuff never seemed real. Happy endings are just stories that haven't finished yet." It wasn't that she didn't believe in love, but she just didn't spend her days dreaming about it.

"Oh my god," she laughed. The words he spoke were unbelievably cheesy. She loved him and she loved everything about him, but she had never been one for those romantic sayings. She had never been a fan of those large romantic gestures either. Then again, she had never been in love before. Faye had been with guys before but Alex was different. She loved him. She held onto him as they swayed to the music, still a foreign concept to her but she enjoyed it nevertheless.
"Will you go get your tests done?" Faye asked. She hadn't forgotten about the tests that the doctors were requesting Alex to get. She wanted to go with him and make sure he knew that she would be by his side. She wanted to see how he was doing now that he was on Earth. Faye wasn't expecting any miraculous recoveries but she could hope that he wasn't deteriorating as quickly as he had been on the Ark.

Faye could already picture the two of them running around, trying to keep the little one safe. She hoped that by the time the baby was born that they would have a more stable life. They wouldn't constantly be afraid of grounders attacking them. It was honestly the only thing that worried her about bringing a new life into the world. Well, it was the only thing that worried her when it came to bringing a baby into the world. She was still worried about Alex and his health. She wanted him to grow up to see their child grow. She wanted him to merely die of old age and not because he couldn't breathe. Faye felt like she was clinging onto him, sighing in agreement at his statement. He had a point. Creating a bigger crib would save them time in the long run, but that was under the impression that they would live long enough for that to happen.
"Of course it's okay," Faye said softly. She continued to hold onto him, her head resting on his chest and her arms wrapped around his body. She sighed, content with where she was in that moment. Resting in bed with him was all she really needed. "I think it might be a boy," she said after a moment of silence. It was way too early to get an official test done to find out the gender of the baby, but she just had this gut feeling.
