It was all over. The City of Light, was gone. At the same time a bigger enemy now lingered in the periphery of their minds, death to all, no matter what clan you belonged to, no matter your history or amount of people you killed. Her title would serve her nothing. And for some reason, as determined as she was to survive this, something in the back of her mind urged her to stop, think for a moment. This could be the end. What would she do? She ran here, thinking she'd make it, like her people, yet willing to sacrifice herself. Still the end was such a weird concept. Death. She never spared a real prolonged thought at the end of her own life, but six months was a long way, those thoughts were bound to come.
And so she excused herself for a moment from the others, wanting to take a moment to herself, to see people in pain and finally realize what she really had done. But she didn't get far. Wheezing breath and Arker sat on the ground, a blonde with him, he seemed calm, she in fear. Clarke couldn't stand by. She sat down, hoping to quickly be able to determine what ailed him. Her intention was forgotten as she saw the womans face. Faye. It's been so long since she last saw her.
"Faye" She whispered in awe, looking at her friend, who appeared to be whole, unharmed, except for the evident emotion at the mans labored breath. And maybe she should care for him first. "Do you know what the problem with him is? How can I help?"

The City of Light was destroyed and so was the euphoric feeling Faye had felt. Taking the chip had been an easy choice at the time. She was suffering from not knowing where Clarke was, or even Alex for that matter. She didn't know what was going to happen and if she was going to die, then she wanted to not be in pain. Perhaps it was selfish of her, but Faye couldn't afford to be like that when death was likely approaching. Things with the grounders had been tense, especially with Pike in charge. Faye hadn't disagreed with his opinions, but there had been certain things that she hadn't agreed with. She had never been crazy about the grounder army being outside their camp, even more so once she found out Abby and Kane hadn't told anyone. But slaughtering them while they slept felt a little extreme, even to Faye.
Polis was in shambles. There were wounded everywhere and even some dead bodies around every corner. One Arker was close to her and while she didn't recognize him, she still crouched by his side to see if she could help. Most of what he mumbled wasn't coherent and Faye didn't have the energy to try and calm him down. Faye's mind started to race. Wait. Where was Alex? Was he okay? She felt like she couldn't breathe. The only reason she snapped out of it was because someone else kneeled by her side. Clarke. It took her a minute to process that Clarke was actually next to her. She didn't hear what the blonde said but Faye immediately threw her arms around her best friend. She felt like she could cry. She was exhausted and stressed out and she hadn't seen Clarke in forever. "I don't know," she answered after pulling away. "I just . . . I need to find Alex."

She was a bit shaky, slightly going backwards with the force of Fayes arms coming around her. It's been ages. Since she had seen her to begin with. From before she had been gone from Arkadia - back then it was still Camp Jaha. But now there she was, Faye, alive, apparently well. She seemed to be in one piece. That was what really mattered. But then she spoke about someone. Alex. Who was Alex again? Had he been in the city of light, too? Okay, yeah, he had to have been in there. Arkadia had been empty when she was there last. That was a serious problem. They would find the others, again. Polis was big but not big enough. The differences were clear and the hostility was back again. It would cause Skaikru to eventually huddle together.
Once they let go, she looked over the guy. He was just panicking, it seemed. But others came over to tend to him, so she could focus on her friend. Alex. She might have mentioned him. But the question was: did she have time to help her? There were things at stake here. "He was in the city of light?" Stupid question of course he was. "He'll be around somewhere. We'll find him. I have the feeling all Skaikru will come tigether soon enough. We're not exactly their favorite people right now. Especially not Wanheda."

Faye was more than glad when some other Arkers came over to assist the man on the ground. Faye wasted no time in getting up from her spot next to him, helping Clarke up as well. It wasn't that she didn't care for the well being of the man, but it was just that she had other things to worry about and it wasn't like she knew him. Faye quickly nodded her head at Clarke's question. Alex had been in the City of Light. The whole thing had been chaos, but at least Faye knew that. But she didn't know where he was now and she was having some anxiety over it. She couldn't lose him. She had already lost so much and he was all she had left. Well, now it appeared that she had Clarke back but she never knew how long that was going to last. She would be lying if she said she wasn't still a little hurt over Clarke leaving after the events at Mount Weather.
"Why?" She asked, finally calming herself down enough to form a rational question. "I know that look. Something is wrong, other than the obvious." You know, other than all of the dead and injured. Oh god. What if A.L.I.E was still alive? Faye knew it was just an artificial intelligence, but that didn't make her any less dangerous. Faye had seen what the bitch in the red dress could do. But wasn't that how they all came out of the City of Light? With the destruction of A.L.I.E? Faye didn't know but she quickly became concerned at the possibilities of what could be wrong now. She knew it would be hell trying to leave the city, but she still didn't think that was it.

Something was wrong. She had seen right through her. That was Faye. They had been friends for so long, of course that girl would notice. And she was right. After all this time apart, after all the things Clarke had been through, after the changes that had been forced on her, after her tough decisions Faye saw right through her. And Faye was someone she could and should trust. Faye should know. But she had to make sure the other blonde knew not to tell anyone. Even if she pulled her into her trusted group of people who were allowed to know.
"There is... the city of light had a reason." A good one, even. Maybe part of her should doubt what she had done. Had she doomed so many people? Could they even survive? Could they do this? She didn't know. But she felt no fear. For some reason she had been through so much, maybe death was just another step after all. She wanted to protect her people, but maybe it would be the end for her. She would see about that in the future, a future that was to be decided soon. "In around six months... we will all die of radiations. There will be another nuclear apocalypse."

Her face mirrored her confusion. What purpose could the City of Light have other than A.L.I.E wanting to control everyone? But Faye kept her mouth shut, knowing that Clarke would elaborate. She wondered if she would have said something had Faye not called her out on something being wrong, but she supposed that didn't matter right now. Right now Clarke was going to tell her what she was hiding and she was glad. She wanted her best friend back. She didn't want Clarke to keep secrets from her and Faye didn't want to keep anything from her. She wanted their friendship back, seeing as it had been the only thing she had upon landing on Earth. Now she had Alex but she wasn't going to brush Clarke to the side for him. It just meant that she had more people to care about; more people to love.
Despair and horror were all she could feel when Clarke told her. Six months left to live and then they would all die from radiation, which Faye couldn't imagine being pleasant. But it wasn't because of her own life that she was completely terrified, it was because of the life growing inside of her. Faye's hand covered her mouth, attempting to stop the pain from escaping her lips. After a beat, she lowered her hand and looked at Clarke. Sadness and fear were in her eyes as she looked at her best friend. "Clarke," she said softly. "I'm pregnant. What . . . what am I going to do?" Faye had never been one to break down from her emotions, but in this case she blamed the hormones.

Pregnant. It felt a bit like she was slammed into a wall again or like they cut her again. Or a bit like being thrust into the City of Light again. Faye, her best friend, basically her sister, was pregnant. She was like her older sister for so long, her best friend, next to Wells since she was little. And since Wells was gone she was the only remainder of her childhood. And now she was pregnant. A new generation was to be born. Clarke felt her eyes sting. Tears were so close. She fought every day, so the idea that she might miss this, was foreign and painful. Her best friend was pregnant and suddenly she felt so out of touch with her. Like there was a sea between them. She could reach out for her but never actually get to her.
“There are ways to survive Praimfire.” Clarke whispered. “Mount Weather was not the only bunker.” It was just the biggest and best equipped one. But if everyone pulled their weight, she had no doubt that they could get things done, that they could fix a way for them to survive, for her to survive, her and her child. Faye and the unborn had to be priority. She carried the future. “I’m happy for you Faye.” She had to be happy about the baby, otherwise Clarke doubted she would have told her. “You’ll be a mother. A great one.”

She saw tears form in Clarke's eyes and part of her didn't know why. The other part of her guessed it was because Faye was never going to see her child be born. She was going to perish, like everyone else, when the radiation became too high for their bodies to handle. Or if they somehow managed to find a place to ride the radiation out, what sort of life would that be? Faye had to make a decision and while she knew Alex had a say, she couldn't help but to feel like this was all coming down on her shoulders. If she wasn't going to follow through with this pregnancy then she had to make that decision now. But Faye didn't even know how that would happen. Would they even had any medicine to help her do that?
Faye shook her head. She didn't think there were ways to survive this second apocalypse. They had been beyond lucky to survive the first one, including their crash landing to Earth. But this was different. Sure, maybe there were other bunkers but that didn't mean they were still there or even livable anymore. "We don't know where any of those are," Faye whispered. Clarke said she was happy for her and that she would be a great mother. Faye shook her head, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. "I can't do this," she said, her voice cracking. "How can I put my child through this hell?"

Clarke shook her head. Faye was wrong. They knew where some were. Many were to small for many people, but at the same time enough for a few. They could do this. Faye could and probably should be one of the first they saved. She was pregnant. Her child was a whole new hope for their people. So they would save her, at least. Even if it came down to her and Clarke. Clarke would always choose her best friend, her sister. “We know where they are. Some are too small for all of us, but some can live there. You can be save there.” She would find a way.
“We will find a way for this. We will make sure your baby won’t have to fear anything.” It was a stretch. It was not even a stretch, it was just damn impossible. She kind of lied. She had no clue if they could do it. But her friend didn’t need stress. “This Alex… is he the father?” Her friend found someone. She was so happy for Faye, but it hurt, still. She had loved, too. But her love was gone, for good. “Lets go find him. We worry about the rest later.”

Faye shook her head. It didn't matter if they had some shelters. She didn't want to be in one without Alex or Clarke. Without one or the other. Because while she may be pregnant it wasn't something she could do without someone there to help her. Faye knew that she could be strong but this was something she had never faced before. She would need someone by her side but if that wasn't possible then she wasn't going to go through with it. She knew it was a difficult thing for people to hear but it was her decision in the end. Even if they made it through this second apocalypse, there was no telling what the world would be like after that. It was likely that enemies would still be an issue, maybe even food and water. Faye couldn't imagine putting anyone she loved through any sort of starvation or dehydration. She wouldn't do it.
Clarke asked if Alex was the father and she nodded her head in reply. "He doesn't know," Faye said. Her tone held a hidden meaning. She didn't want Clarke to tell Alex because quite frankly, she was still deciding on whether or not she wanted to keep it. She knew where Alex would stand. Clarke wanted to find Alex and she nodded her head, having no idea where he would be. "I'm really glad you're okay," Faye said to Clarke. She grabbed her hand and squeezed it lightly. Clarke was her sister and the only family she had left.
