.:Name:. Lexa kom Trikru
.:Nick Name:. Heda, the Commander. Some can call her Lexa and get away with it.
.:Affiliation:. Grounders; the coalition.
.:Age:. Twenty
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:.
There are two sides of her appearance depending on what she's wanting to portray with the most leaning towards intimidation, inspiration, leading. There are times when she must appear unassuming, like a mouse caught in a mouse-trap without ever showing her true strength until the last moment. In private she can let her hair down and relax although she never does; her garb might be simple but that doesn't stop her from walking with purpose.
When she is unassuming it's easy to think she isn't a threat. A mistake that people tend to make which is why she does such a thing in order to learn the truth. But it's not her true self. Because she is far more intimidating and terrifying than her mouse-self suggests.
Her hair is often pinned back away from her face though still trailing down her back. Most of the time her smooth skin is clear except for when she wears her standard war-paint around her eyes. Her garb is often black with silver clasps with her most worn attire being her 'commander' outfit. All black, including the jacket, pants, boots, with an actual motorcycle tyre cut down and fitted over her left shoulder and a massive red sash, made from the parachute of the first commander, hooked underneath in place.
She carries herself with deadly grace, to see her one would know that messing with her is dangerous, even if one was to overlook the daggers on her belt, or the sword at her back.
.:Height:. 5' 5" (1.65 m)
.:Portrayed by:. Alycia Debnam-Carey

.:Personality:.
On the surface Lexa appears cool, calm and collected and generally she is; she is a leader, the commander of her people and so she demands respect just as much as she gives. It's her that makes the tough choices so that her people do not have to - she loves her people and would do anything to protect and keep the safe. This loyalty is so strong that was willing to break already made deals and plans. Considered a visionary, she has done what no other commander has managed to do; unite the twelve grounder clans into an alliance and is willing to do the same to the Sky People. She also allowed the Ice Nation into her coalition despite their queen killing the girl she loved; Lexa is more capable of separating feelings from duty.
Though ruthless in battle, Lexa does have a side where she shows mercy and is unwilling to kill for the sins of someone else. Though she believes that blood must have blood, it must also be paid by the person themselves and not someone else who wants to take their place as a 'hero.' This includes herself; if someone challenges her then she will fight, and even though she is the commander she doesn't allow anyone to fight for her. She believes that if she cannot fight her battles then she cannot lead. Of course, this view, doesn't always stop her from killing; if people enter her territory that she doesn't know she has to put her people first.
It's generally logic, not emotion, that rule her. After the death of her ex-girlfriend Costia, Lexa's views was one that love was weakness which were reinforced by Titus, her Flamekeeper. She could love her people but she could not be in love with another and so she closed herself off to all attachments but with the arrival of Clarke that shield has slowly started to crack, showing a more vulnerable and tender side of herself that she has locked away since Costia's brutal death; and though she was willing to bring Azgeda into her coalition, she never forgave their Queen.
Her icy nature doesn't mean she hates you or doesn't care. She is a leader first, a commander of her people and so she cannot afford for them to view her as weak or to question her orders. She shows her affection in other ways, small gestures or the twinkling in her eyes, rather than full blown words and despite the fact she is unafraid to lead her people, she is afraid of her emotions. She swallows her emotion like others swallow their fear because she's already been hurt to the core once.
.:Special Skills:.
Leader. Lexa is a leader and that means making the hard choices so that her people do not have to. She leads with confidence, maturity, figuring out the best solutions for a long term gain rather than something that will crumble after a few days. She has a strong commanding voice, one that demands people listen to her even if they don't like what they have to say. She leads with logic most times rather than emotion and is always thinking what will be best for her people.

.:Birthplace:. TonDC
.:Family:. Her parents are deceased with the only other members of her family, that are not blood related, is Anya, Aden(a young Nightblood), Indra, Gustus and even Titus.
.:Occupation:. Commander of the twelve thirteen clans.
.:History:.
Lexa was born a Nightblida, a Nightblood, a grounder whose blood is black as night and the only one to be able to take the Flames. Taken to Polis from the moment she was able to walk and talk to train in the arts of fighting, leading and politics. In addition, she was taught English as well as Trigedasleng, the Grounder native tongue. There wasn't much time for rest, there was always something. Something to learn, something to do.
For further training, Lexa was taught under the tutelage of Anya, a woods clan leader. She learned, she trained and she killed those who were threats to their clan or to their people. Her friendship with Anya was cut the moment their commander died and Lexa was taken to the Conclave to fight. Though she still considered Anya to be a great friend, she was going to be her leader soon; it never occured to her that she would lose. She fought her Nightblood brothers and sisters. Some she snapped their necks, others she drove a knee into their spine.
She won, they lost and the time for mourning would come later. Her neck was sliced open so she could accept the flame. Her neck and back were tattooed to mark her Ascension. She went from child, to young warrior, to commander and she fought to make sure they viewed her as such; not as a child but their leader.
It was unusual for commanders to get into relationships and though Lexa never admitted Costia was her girlfriend at the time, the small touches and glances were enough for the Ice Nation queen. At the time Lexa was busy trying to form an alliance between the twelve grounder clans, knowing that they needed to work together rather than being so torn apart. The Ice Nation Queen, believing Costia to know all of her secrets, kidnapped her, tortured her and then cut off her head before sending the head to Lexa's bed.
In that moment she closed herself off, believing that love was weakness which was only reinforced by her Flamekeeper. She still let the Ice Nation into her alliance despite the murder, knowing that the clan didn't do the act, it was their Queen. From there it was all about leading her people, something she proved to be rather good at despite her young age; though really, age was nothing but a number when it came to the commander.
The arrival of Skai Kru changed everything. War began the moment they hit the ground into their territory. They already had the Mountain Men(humans who lived in the mountain after the nuclear apocalypse) and Reapers(grounders turned to violent slaves of the mountain men) to deal with, the Skai Kru were unknown and Lexa could not afford the threat. Though plenty of deaths were dealt on either side, a truce was finally successful in the form of Clarke Griffin after she spoke of being able to turn Reapers back into Grounders.
At the time Lexa didn't believe her, it had never been done before, but she gave her the benefit of the doubt. Ready to kill them all if they had lied to her, much to her surprise Clarke had told the truth. However, this was just the tip of the iceberg.
There was something else that must be done in order for peace. She wanted the one who murdered eighteen innocent people. Blood must have blood and although Clarke had admitted in burning the 300 warriors she sent to battle, Lexa didn't budge; death in war was unavoiable. Finn had killed in cold blood. Though she didn't die by Death of 1000 cuts but Clarke's hand, Lexa still deemed that blood had paid in blood and that her people would join Skai Kru and free their trapped people.
After making the announcement, and telling her people that if anyone attacks Skai Kru then they will be punished, she was forced to kill her close ally Gustus after poisoning himself and trying to frame Raven of Skai Kru. She had to be true to her word least they think they could get away with such vile acts of treason.
Lexa saw the strength in Clarke, more than what she realized when they went up against a giant gorilla they named Pauna. Though they manage to hide from the animal, it turns out they went right into her feeding ground. As they escaped into an old cage, Lexa was prepared to die though Clarke was too stubborn; it was Clarke that saved her life even if Lexa viewed such a thing as weakness because Clarke refused to leave Lexa behind. Lexa later returned the favor of not leaving Clarke behind when a missile was aimed directly at TonDC. They were only able to escape because of their inside man, Bellamy, and though it pained her to leave her people to die, Lexa could not evacuate the whole village.
It would tell the mountain men that someone was inside.
When Bellamy finally shut off the acidic fog, the army marched. Though Lexa had shared a kiss with Clarke, her feelings for the other woman stirring, it didn't stop her from taking the deal that the mountain men offered her. They would release her people if she withdrew and she accepted. This was a betrayal, of course it was. And when she withdrew her troops after getting the trapped grounders back, Lexa's heart was heavy. She had felt something she never had, regret and wondering if it was the right choice especially when Clarke killed everyone inside Mount Weather, becoming Wanheda or the Commander of Death. Though she had resources to find and kill her to take her power, she used that to find and bring her to safety, much to Clarke's disgust.
She left her for a week before seeing her again and telling her of the plan she had thought about. Bringing Skai Kru in as the thirteenth clan, while many thought unwise it would surely be a step for proper, longterm peace. Though Lexa needed Wanheda to bow to her, it was after that that Lexa gave Clarke the one thing she had; power. She knelt down and swore fealty to Clarke, to treat her needs as Lexa's own and to treat Skai Kru as her people. Lexa honored those words several times by finding another way to end conflict when her teachings told her that blood must have blood.
It was clear to everyone, except her, that her feelings for Clarke put her in danger as well as Clarke herself. Titus, her Flamekeeper, tried warning her, tried getting Clarke to go home. Though Skai Kru had been brought into the coalition, their people had voted for another leader who rejected the alliance. Another war was brewing all because people acted of emotion not logic.
Emotions had been running high in her coalition as well; Nia, Azgeda's Queen voted no confidence. Seeing through her plan Lexa demanded her to tell her what she really wanted. Nia challenged her, with Lexa accepting quick enough. She would fight Roan, Nia's son and the one she commanded to find Clarke. Though Titus and Clarke were worried, their arguments meant nothing; she was the commander and she would not allow anyone to fight for her.
She fought Roan, keeping toe-to-toe with him until it appeared she would lose. All part of her plan in which she turned the tide of battle in her favor. Instead of killing Roan, she threw the spear, hitting Nia and killing her. The Queen was dead; and in her words 'long live the King.' She would not kill him for the sins of his mother and this had been perfect in exacting her revenge for the death of Costia.
Blood must have blood.
Her vulnerability came out when she shared another kiss with Clarke, showing that she could be submissive compared to her usual dominant personality. After they slept together, Lexa felt peace though when Clarke asked about her back tattoos, Lexa was reminded about how she came to be the woman she was today.
