Do you prefer the open air and the woods more or the comfort of your home in Polis? "Very interesting question. It generally depends on my mood at the time but I do like the open air and the woods a little moreso than the comfort of Polis. Though the woods are more dangerous sometimes one can breathe easier in the woods."

Do you prefer to spend your free time - when you have any - inside or outside? "Outside. Fresh air is a welcome change after being stuck inside most of the time."

iah LEXA KOM TRIKRU Of course there were guards. Lexa should have seen it from a mile away! Though she'd seen them approaching and thus they were able to get out of their line of sight, she couldn't help but wonder how Ontari was feeling. This was not what she wanted to show the other girl and she hoped that she wouldn't want to turn back now because of a slight setback - though Lexa would accompany her back to the tower if she did want to turn back. Lexa was stubborn, commanding even depending on the situation. But if Ontari changed her mind then Lexa would accept that. Be a little hurt, but accept it all the same.
She looked at Ontari to reassure her when she saw the worry on her face and her heart seemed to sink a little. Though she didn't hate Ontari for feeling the worry(she could never hate Ontari full stop), she hated herself for making Ontari worry like this. Lexa gave her hand a small, reassuring squeeze, hoping it would put into words what she was feeling without actually speaking. It's okay to worry. But I'll make sure to chase the worries away.
"The guards will summon Titus. Probably Heda as well. We'll be lectured on why we shouldn't sneak out." There would be no severe punishments like losing their heads. Being Natblida meant they were pretty safe from executions due to the rarity of their status. Only those born with black blood were able to train to become Heda. Only their blood could accept the Flame, something that dated back to the first Commander. Becca Pramheda. Her voice was quiet as she spoke as not to alert the guards who were making their way down the main part of the street, their boots were the only sound apart from their breathing that could be heard in the still night.
Lexa peered over the top edge of their hiding spot, "This was my idea so I'll take all the blame. You shouldn't have to get into trouble for my ideas." the older girl finished, eyes squinting in the darkness. The guards had made their way near their spot with one pausing and looking about. It was a tense few seconds where Lexa was sure they'd be found until the guards picked up the pace again. She waited until they were out of sight around the tower before she dared move, exhaling the breathe she didn't know she had been holding.
"Oh it is." Lexa grinned at the mention of this better be worth it. "At least I think it is." And with that, she stood up, checked to make sure the coast was clear once more before she padded along the streets. Taking the back way rather than be right in the open, weaving through stalls before coming to the familiar sight where they exited the main town of Polis and into the forests. She took the familiar path with no need for fire light or even the stars to guide her. "Okay, close your eyes. It'll only be for a few moments." Lexa waited before leading her into the wide open space that served as their battle training.
"Okay, you can open your eyes." If they had been closed. Lexa stood at the edge that overlooked Polis with the stars and the moon shining brightly in the skies. "This was what I wanted to show you. Isn't it beautiful?" - - - - -

LEXA KOM TRIKRU Lexa was covered in blood. Not just her own but others that she had cut down with her swords. She had enough battle awareness to know who she was fighting and those who wouldn't get a taste of her blades. A young boy, no more than seven, stared at her as she cut down her foes, their bodies at her feet, guns scattered on the concrete floor. Her arm ached where the bullet had grazed her and they had been lucky she didn't cut their hand off.
She stared at the boy though with cold green eyes, black warpaint, the icy persona of the commander. "Go back into the room. You won't be harmed." Lexa had promised; and besides, she wasn't in the business of mass murdering children. Not like this.
When things settled down, word got to her regarding the wounded and the dead. As Clarke predicted, there were losses but it was far minimal than Lexa had thought. She would need to find Clarke and see how things were on her side, despite being frm different groups they had worked together to take out their enemy and free their people. It wasn't Lexa who tracked Clarke down but the blond had found her, swords sheathed with one hand holding cloth over her arm.
She hadn't forgotten. Only those who were willing involved were to be punished. Those unwillingly, those who were forced and those who had no knowledge of such torture would be spared."A fraction of our number were injured. Around twelve were killed when we stormed the base." That didn't count for the losses on the outside. "What about your people?" Though it hardly seemed like it, Lexa did care. Care for Clarke and care for the Skaikru. "We need to round them up. Tell them they will be spared so long as they weren't involved." They referred to the adults, not the children.
The kids would be spared regardless.
"I would imagine they will panic. But they need to know they have nothing to fear if they've done nothing wrong. Is there anywhere suitable for them to gather?" She asked, relying on Clarke's knowledge to find a safe place for them all to gather. Outside was a no-go, especially considering those who lived in the mountain would die the moment they stepped foot in the outside. blood must have blood Clarke Griffin

Bellamy Blake ((ooc// Sweet. I'll have the timeskip in her next post. Also, I cannot believe how much I've forgotten about the summit when I stopped watching xD oops)) LEXA KOM TRIKRU Lexa quirked a brow as he spoke, and though he was technically right, he was still wrong because his feelings were relevant. Everything depended on his emotions and if he was going to let them rule or if he would hold them back and do what was best for his people. Still, she had to believe he wouldn't let emotion rule. After all, he was still here, talking to her despite his feelings. He could have very easily told her to go shove it and walk away. Well, maybe being Heda had something to do with his staying. Though she didn't tolerate her insubordination, she would have allowed him to do that without any retaliation. For the first time.
They didn't always know the customs of her people. Something she frequently had to remind herself when dealing with the Skai people.
"A leader leads with their head. Do what is best for our people." Being a leader was not easy. They had to make the tough calls, live with the consequences with guilt and regret always weighing on the mind.
"No, I didn't." Lexa acknowledged. "The duty to my people came first." It was a regret that she couldn't protect both people, duty bound to protect her own which meant no matter what, her people would always come first. What he was asking was not exactly easy in terms of answering. It was a lot more complicated than simply 'for peace.'
No doubt Clarke would be telling Abby and Kane about the change of plan and so she would tell Bellamy. She felt like she should tell him rather than he wait until the meeting. "Azgeda. They want me dead. If I fall, the coalition falls. My original plan was to issue a treaty between our people but that won't be enough. However, this has changed. I want Skaikru to join as the 13th clan." - - - - -

Clarke Griffin LEXA KOM TRIKRU Thing was, Lexa really did owe her. Not just for her life but for everything that Clarke had done in saving the life of the Commander. In saving her life she had saved the Coalition, saved the thirteen clans from going into war with each other. And, she thought ruefully, saved the young Natblidas from entering the conclave. While it was tradition when she and other commanders passed, she also knew how she felt when she won her conclave. Though she had the honor of becoming Heda, the blood of her siblings were on her hands. She hadn't celebrated that night - she spent enough time around her people that was considered appropriate before retiring for the night.
"You've done a great deal here tonight, Clarke." Probably more than she would ever know or realize. Lexa knew. Lexa realized. Not for the first time she reflected on how special the blond was and it wasn't because of the love Lexa held for her.
"Wanhedas usually bring death, they do not chase it away. You will become a legend." In her eyes she was a legend but she wasn't about to say that outloud. She also didn't pursue the subject any futher, knowing Clarke probably cared little about becoming a legend in the eyes of the grounders.
Lexa didn't really know the meaning of rest. Not truly. All her instincts told her she needed to get up and resume her duties. She needed to talk to Titus, figure out how to proceed with everything that had happened. The guilt on his face had been palpable and Lexa would forgive him regardless of how others felt about such actions. Besides, he was the only Flamekeeper. This was incredibly messy and she needed to sort it out but she also knew she couldn't even move that well in her state.
So she didn't argue with Clarke. "I don't plan on dying." Was all she said, hoping to at least reassure her that she planned to fight. She lay back down on the pillows, staring up at the ceiling with all her thoughts swirling in her head. Almost shyly she looked toward Clarke again, her words barely above a whisper. "Stay with me?" blood must have blood

iah LEXA KOM TRIKRU It was ironic in the way that Lexa held such distrust towards Azgeda and yet Ontari seemed to spark a different sort of emotion from her. There had been compassion in those eyes when she looked at Ontari, she felt no suspicion or fear. Such a strange concept when it came to Azgeda and for a moment Lexa wondered why. No answer came to her immediately, it wasn't something that she just knew. It was frustrating to feel because not knowing was the bane of her existence. Knowing would help her deal with this and the whole situation better and easier. Right now life seemed to want to be as complicated as it could be and Lexa was glad that they were walking along so she had something else to do other than dwell on her thoughts with questions that had no answers.
Walking alongside Ontari allowed her to look at everything that she was being shown without being left behind. When they rounded a corner and got near the markets they were pointed out to Lexa who nodded. Ontari seemed to not be much of a talker which was fine with Lexa because small talk was often very awkward for her; she was better getting to the point than making meaningless chatter but she wanted to show that she was paying attention. Every stall was committed to memory, every path and corner, every face that came close to her. Well aware of being in enemy territory, her only saving grace was one simple fact. If they attacked or killed Lexa then there would be retaliation. On the flip side it was the same for Azgeda. They could not harm or kill any of the Ice Nation either.
As they approached Lexa noticed the general chatter slowly die down and the air seemed to become so thick that one could cut it with a sword. This was nothing like Polis where she could go into the streets and not even hear herself think. Even the general attitude changed, becoming colder like the slight winds in the air. For a moment she wondered if it was her presence that was the cause yet one child was staring, not at her but Ontari. Maybe a mix of both? Lexa looked around, noticing the glare Ontari gave and remained silent as to what she had seen. No need to ask her directly about it in front of the people. She'd maybe talk about it when they were out of earshot because pulling her up on it now could very well cause Ontari to barricade herself.
She turned to the fur trader and after a few deliberations an exchange took place. 'New' furs would be delivered to them before the day was over. Though they had furs and other warm clothing since they knew they were coming to the cold, Lexa also knew that some of it needed replacing. One of her guards had felt a little more frozen than usual though he had been utterly silent on his sufferings. Once that was done with, Lexa turned to face Ontari, ignoring the others who seemed content to ignore her(or stare at her with closed mouths and wariness in their eyes).
"Is there anywhere a little quieter?" Lexa asked, and though the area was plenty quiet she wasn't meaning chatter. She was talking about the people as her words really meant is there anywhere without so many people? - - - - -

iahLEXA KOM TRIKRU Lexa tried to remain stoic. Tried to not let it show too much how much Ontari's words meant to her though she was sure it showed somewhere on her face. Someone had once told her that most of her expression was in the eyes. She was good at keeping the rest of her face neutral but those eyes of hers needed working on. Too much expression, too much of her soul were in her eyes. They were expression when the rest became expressionless.
Right now she didn't mind too much when she hoped that the expression was friendly - she hoped that her crush wouldn't be seen in her eyes because that would be very hard to explain away.
Though she trained furtively, Lexa didn't actually like thinking about the future. Sure she entertained the idea of becoming Heda, most of them did, and though she took it far too seriously, she also didn't think of the biggest thing she would need to do in order to become Heda. Kill her siblings in the conclave. Thinking about it made her gut twist painfully - the idea of killing her siblings, those she grew up with and trained, wasn't much of a pleasant thought. How could she? She looked at Ontanri and she couldn't even think about hurting her let alone killing her. She wanted to protect her and that was what she would do. She was not going to think about the future. Not think about the conclave.
I'll protect you. I will always protect you. Ontari had nothing to fear from Lexa. She wouldn't push her to do anything she didn't want to, she would never put her in true danger(going into the training area was a little dangerous mainly because if they were caught they'd be in trouble but nothing life threatening). It was a silent promise, one that wouldn't be spoken outloud because she knew that the words could be broken. Rather than disappoint other people she might as well only disappoint herself. Or so she thought.
Instead she stood up, reached her hand out for Ontari to take if she wanted just to help her to her feet before she turned and slowly padded to the door. "It's a surprise but I think you'll really like it." Lexa gave one of her soft smiles as she turned to look at Ontari before her started walking again. Slow steps, careful steps, so she could also listen out for movements of the guards. They were there to protect the Heda but also the Natblidas. If they were caught at this point, no doubt they'd be sent back to bed or maybe even let off if they were near someplace like a bathroom.
So far it was clear.
Slowly she continued to make her way, avoiding where she knew guards would be stationed. Exiting the tower into the grounds made her pause for a few moments to look around. The streets were eeriely quiet at this time of night. Still she moved along, not looking up into the skies yet because she didn't want to give away part of her plan. What wasn't part of the plan was guards moving up ahead and Lexa ducked, darting around some of the closed stalls while motioning for Ontari to follow unless she had taken her hand. Her back pressed against the stall edge and she held her breathe, waiting for the guards to go on by before they continued on. - - - - -
