“Not quite.” She was getting there, though. With how warm he was against her, she guessed it would take only a few more moments for her to get warm enough, though. She was comfortable and surrounded by a warmth that was entirely different than she expected, too, it was a warmth she loved dearly. Gena ran her hand gently up and down his chest, wanting him to feel how she was there, how she was close and how she would remain close, hoping it would be as comfortable for him, as it was for her.
“We should totally do that.” Gena replied with a grin. She wanted that, mostly for him, so he could release some stress, rest and recharge his batteries. He needed his energy, he needed it so often. He protected them with his body, with everything he had. It was time he took a step back and let himself relax and recharge and hell, Gena had collected arguments to make him stay and do that. The others might need that, too. They needed him at the top of his game. “I think we should stay exactly here tomorrow, just you and me, enjoy each other and rest. Maybe enjoy a bit more about each other, too.” If he knew what she meant and he probably did. “Goodnight, Bell.”

Bellamy was gone for two days now and it already felt too long. Hell was happening in Arkadia. Everything was changing and not necessarily for the better. Some of the few survivors of Farm Station were and have been Genas friends. While she remained in Arkadia when Bellamy left for the summit, others were in Mount Weather, people she knew and liked. She originally had planned to go there with Bellamy even, until he put his foot down to be allowed to the summit. Maybe he had saved both of their lives with that. Maybe they both would have died, had he not gone to the summit and she stayed there. It was a horrible thought, a world without him. But it didn’t get easier. Farm Station wanted to get together and she had little choice but to join them. She stuck close to Monty and Brian, kids she knew for various reasons. So she was close to the center of what happened initially. Once she realized the gravity of it, she stayed there, aligning herself with them. More and more so even. She didn’t agree with killing people, but oh did she agree with securing the area and making Arkadia fully sustainable.
Gena cooked for the returned warriors that morning, listening in on what they said as she took the plates back after they ate. She was just out to make sure they had enough bread ready for the evening when the gates opened. Bellamy. Bellamy was finally home. Gena rushed forward, with others, needing to see for herself that he was okay, but he didn’t even acknowledge him. It hurt like a punch to the gut – one delivered by him. Only this time it was emotional and he was not there to make sure she was alright while someone else had punched her. This was harder than anything she ever felt. This was because he decided to stay with her and the grounders instead of coming home. Maybe he could have influenced them not to kill people. Well they were dead now and he didn’t even glance at his girlfriend. Wonderful.
Gena returned to his room then, expecting him to come by at one point, but most of her stuff was there, she could do the most work there due to the size of the place, not to mention that she had been sleeping easier with Bellamys smell all around her. It made her feel like he wasn’t so far and unreachable. Today he was. Today she sat on the bed to feel close, even though she felt impossibly far. Gena looked up, when the door opened to reveal him. For a moment she was at a loss at what to do, but then she remembered how he walked right past her. So she kept quiet, letting him do what he had to do and go if he just wanted to leave again. Maybe it was, finally, for this girl.

“Got it… b..boss.” It wasn’t easy. In fact this was easier said than done. She was tired, but she knew where Raven was coming from. She might easily slip away if she closed her eyes and that was something neither of them really wanted. It hurt, she just wanted to close her eyes, sleep and forget about the pain, but in that case she might even forget about life as she knew it. Gena knew she had to hold on as she just told Raven she would. And it was not for long that apparently Raven heart footsteps. They were followed by help approaching them. Everything happened quickly after that. Raven was out of her line of sight, she was lifted, other hands pressed down, harder, getting a pained cry out of her again. It was harder to stay awake, but she was in good hands now.
Gena didn’t feel a lot from then on, just the pain, unimaginable pain for her. They were doing something on her, people changed. She couldn’t tell. Everything was out of focus. Everything was hard until, until something changed. The pain numbed slowly and the world came back to focus. She felt nowhere strong, but it was easier to breathe and think. Gena looked around, finding herself in the infirmary, finding Raven close. “Happy now?” She asked her with a slight grin. “I listened to your orders, Raven.” Gena tried to sit up, but her arms were shaky, not able to hold herself up.

He said she was the reason he was still alive, but Gena didn’t agree. She was far from that. He had saved himself as much as she saved him. The thing of it was that, had he not allowed her to take care for him, she would have not managed to do so. He was willing to let her help, so she could help him, without that, there would have been no way to help him. He was too stubborn to let anything happen against his consent, especially in this department. Gena let go of him slowly, reaching for his hands to hold them firmly as she looked at him. She would not take this lightly, because what he said meant a lot. It was more than she could hope for. She wanted him to be okay and it meant a lot, that he thought she was contributing to his wellbeing. It was why she now held his hands like that.
“You’re as much reason for that, as I am. You let me take care of you, Bell. You’re fighting, without you fighting to stay alive, nobody could have done that. I’m glad, though, that me being here means a lot to you.” Because that was what lay under what he said. This was what was underneath his words. She loved him, she’d always do that for him. So Right now she needed to take care of him again. He needed to be able to relax and let go of his responsibilities. Maybe she could take his mind off of what he had seen in Mount Weather, though she had not yet found the perfect solution for that.
“Now, how about you and I take our minds off of Mount Weather?” She had half an idea already, but it would need a bit of fine tuning to turn into a full, real idea.

It meant the world to her, how Bellamy said his mother would have liked, no loved her. She would have wanted to be liked by his mother. She was such an important part of his life. She was his mother, together with his sister the center of existence for the most of their life. She was allowed in there now, so she wanted to be okay for the two most important women of his life. So it meant the world that he thought his mother would have loved her. They would eventually find out if Octavia approved of her as well, though a big part of her thought it was probably impossible. She liked her, but Octavia was headstrong, maybe Gena was too soft for her or something else.
He was by now her only family here, though it might extend to Octavia, to Raven, too, but given their closeness, Bellamy was currently the closest thing to family she had and she was glad to have him. She was proud of him and at the same time. He took care of people here and rarely of himself. She was glad he usually let her take care of him, even though reluctantly sometimes. Gena was happy to see him react to the pictures. He seemed to be as fascinated as she felt and especially as he saw her Dad. Had she ever told him what happened with him? But even then, this was not the time. She was sad enough, she didn’t have to remind herself of that. “Yeah. My Dad, who usually wore an apron.” And she loved it. As a kid she stored toys in there when she was home, like a kangaroo. She loved this thing. Gena moved on. She didn’t know the woman on the picture, but she knew the dress on there. And given how needles were stuck into a bracelet on the womans arm, she guessed this was the woman who made it. “It was my favorite dress. I wore this so often. The fabric used to belong to my grandmother.” They made a dress out of her grandmothers apron. The dress was lost in the crash, sadly. Once she wanted to give it to her own child. “I think that was the seamstress who made it.”

Having a date meant a lot to Gena Martin. The thing was, that the Ark was tightly scheduled. They had a lot of school work, they had to prepare for their future and Bellamy was generally busy, probably having to help his mother, like she tended to help her mother. It was luxury to have an entire evening of free time for a date and even more so to actually have stuff for their date. Her mother had worked hard this week and her fathers pension helped, so that Gena could get rations for this date.
She had spent the afternoon in the kitchen, cooking while studying. After all this was what she wanted to do in her future: She wanted to cook, to be able to help people like that. She had cooked since she was little, always helping her father with this, now she did it alone or with her mother, though she was working all night. It was all for her and Bellamy. They even had old spices, which was quite special. Gena was nervous. Given that they had been together for a while and she was really in love, this night could be perfect. They could take the next step, maybe, if they were both ready. She didn’t know if they were, though. It would show.
Bellamy was just on time, though she was not fully finished with the food yet. It needed to cook a little longer. But there was nothing wrong about that, she thought. Gena opened the door with a grin. “Just in time. Come in. The food is not ready yet. Come in. Sit down. Uhm did you find here well? I mean, of course you did, you were here before.”

He seemed to be torn up inside. She could imagine he didn’t exactly feel at ease. It was a topic he had to keep close to his heart, she guessed. He had a sister. His family had an illegal child that they had to protect and care of. At the same time she finally understood why she could not come to him. He had to make sure the sibling was safe and Gena was a stranger in the family. She was a danger to that. She probably still as that. The more people knew, the more people could slip up. She understood that not telling meant safety for his sister. It had nothing to do with trusting her or not, even though it felt weird. Part of her wished he would have trusted her with it, the other really couldn’t blame him for it at all. Gena walked to the table and sat down. If they wanted to talk, it was a good place for it. For the time being they could just sit together and talk, what came later would be told by time.
“Of course we are okay, Bellamy.” She said, trying to put his mind at ease. “Why shouldn’t we be? I, however” She wanted to be honest with him and that meant telling him, that she was not okay, as they would say. She was confused and troubled about this. She wanted to help him, but didn’t know how. And the looming danger of it was scary in itself. “I’m confused and overwhelmed with this a bit. I know why you didn’t tell me, so of course we’re good, but I’ll have to make sense of it first and need to grasp it first. It’s not something you hear every day on the Ark”

I'm still not over Genas death. SOOOO, here goes the plot idea. Due to the nature of it, it's most equipped for Grounders, but open to all, maybe we will find an angle where it works with Arkers
What if the Grounder wasn't alone? What if one of them just took Gena out of the mountain and let it all explode without potential warning? They could take her to a village. The intentions could be multiple. From using her as leverage to using her as worker, we can always discuss the details of this.

“Music?” Gena asked surprised, with a giggle highlighting her amusement at the tease the two of them exchanged. It was cute, but he knew she could not provide any music. She was not the kind of singer to shatter glass because of how horrible she was, but she wasn’t good either and her rhythm was off when not given a steady one. So nope, no music would ever come from her under those circumstances, which where: It was not fully needed and he was teasing anyway. Gena still watched, ready to throw a pillow if necessary if he wouldn’t put on something warm. She didn’t want him to get sick and given where and how he worked, he was at a risk of that anyway. No pillows were thrown.
Instead she was faced with the task of actually fitting them both onto the bed. It wasn’t that much of a stretch, really. If they slept still, they could easily lie next to each other, but that wasn’t really the goal of all of this. That was highlighted by Bellamy wrapping his arm around her. She moved towards him, placing her hand on his chest as her head rested on his strong shoulder. Hopefully that one would not bite him in the ass this morning, but Bellamy would say so. Not fully comfortable yet, she threw her leg over his, moving and shifting a bit until she found THE perfect position. It was not just a position she could tolerate, it was more. The curly haired woman sighed softly, contently.
“Yes, especially for you.” She worked late, so got to sleep in a bit sometimes. He worked and worked and worked and would probably forget to sleep, if his body didn’t demand it. She sighed again. “You’re comfortable.” Gena mumbled against him. “I could get used to this.” She even wanted to. With Bellamy everything seemed easy. She understood his actions. It was easy to adjust to him – even his sometimes stupidly heroic antics. She knew how to handle him and she loved him, every day a bit more. “We should take a day off together some time.” She suggested. “So you can get some proper rest.” And she could pamper him a bit, knowing and suspecting he didn’t have that a lot. He deserved it.

Gena hadn’t left her room that much that day. What she learned of her boyfriend was shocking. She didn’t know how to deal with it initially so she took her time alone, claiming she needed to look a few things up. She was, technically looking things up, but certainly not what her mother expected her to look up. It was research on Bellamys situation, as subtle as it go. She had to read through the entire damn Exodus Charta for it, but she would, for him. Her mom was luckily out, working, when she heard the knock on the door. She already had an idea who it would be: Bellamy.
Gena opened the door for him. She didn’t know how to react to him. What would he think? What should she say? How could she even express how confused she felt? But she was sure of one thing: She loved him. And she wanted to be there for him. That was why she was reading the damn law text and they were exhausting. So after a moment of staring at her boyfriend, she smiled at him. Gena leaned forward to kiss him gently, before taking his hand to let him in. “Mom is at work. So we can speak freely. I guess that is why you are here, right?”

Nobody had known that a space station crashing from the sky could induce labor, but it did. When they crashed, she was luckily in Alpha. During the chaos after the second dropship started, her pregnancy was discovered, but nobody bothered anymore. They all thought they would die anyway, what did it matter that someone was pregnant with a second child then? Well it mattered when they fell to the ground. She was scared, really, that they would punish her baby once it was born, but a gentle smile reminded her that Exodus Charta no longer applied. They were on the ground, Gaia doctrine held their law now, second children were no longer forbidden, her baby was to be a legal child.
It was one worry gone. Her baby was safe, but what about the babies father? What was she to do with Max, her first child? She was lucky. An older woman held him and cared for him while she gave birth to baby number two. They couldn’t go to medical, so they had no idea what the baby would be. It turned out Bellamy and her had a little girl. They kept her there for a bit after she was born, to make sure she and the new baby Blake were fine. Then, finally they told her where she could find Bellamy. In lock up. For assaulting someone. Wonderful. But it didn’t matter. Max wanted to see his Dad. And a newborn little Lady surely wanted to meet him, too.
Max walked ahead with a guard, proud to be a big brother now, even though Gena was pretty sure little Maximus had no idea what that meant yet. The guard opened the door to lockup and announced “You have a visitor, Blake.” But the visitor certainly didn’t wait for the announcement. Gena could watch as Max squealed “DADDY!” and ran towards him, throwing his arms around Bellamy. Gena waited a moment before rounding the corner, holding the wrapped up newborn daughter of theirs. But everything she had wanted to say was lost on her mind when she saw him or rather his face.
“Who did this to you?”

She managed to stay awake long enough to punch in the code, to stop the Mountain from Self Destruction. From then on it was a mess. People came to her. They pressed on her stomach. She saw Raven, Sinclair. The hectic was immense. Genas mind singled in on something else, something that probably helped her stay awake and stay alive: The baby. She was pregnant, not too long, but it was a child they had hoped for, a little miracle that graced them as soon as they decided they wanted a kid. It wasn’t long after taking out the implant that they discovered their pregnancy despite them thinking it would take a while to conceive. Their baby. Their poor baby. Was it hurt? She worried. She feared for the unborn child all the way to Arkadia.
At Arkadia she was rushed to medical and taken care of. Sedatives helped. Sedatives kept her numb for the time of the surgery to save her life but it didn’t last long enough to keep her out of it for long. She wasn’t alone. A few of Bellamys friends sat with her until Jackson came up to her to speak to her in private. His words barely registered. The horrifying truth of what happened felt worse than the pain of the stabbing. It was gone. Their child was gone. Their unborn, innocent baby was dead. Gena didn’t know how to react. She stared at Jackson in horror, but couldn’t do anything else. She couldn’t even look at Doctor Griffin when she came in to look at Jacksons work. She couldn’t look at anyone.
When Bell came in, she looked away. Hwo was she supposed to look at him? They wanted a child. They had managed to get pregnant and now she lost it. She lost their baby. He was so happy about it and now she ruined it for him. She just couldn’t look at him. So Jackson replied to Bellamy. “She was brought in with multiple stab wounds in the abdominal area. Why I don’t know. We managed to fix the worst damage and give her transfusion to replace the blood she lost.” From the door someone added: “It was Grounders. They tried to blow up the Mountain. She saved us. Thanks to her nobody died.” She couldn't let that stand like that. It was just not the truth. “Someone died.” She croaked. Gena still didn't manage to look at Bellamy. “I'm sorry, Bell.”

“Tell me about it.” She knew. Back on the Ark even Bellamy had to help one. She mainly wanted to gain advantage over the men for a short moment. Long enough so she could get away. That was all: Bring herself to safety one way or another. Not many men, at least not those on the Ark, expected a simple cook to fight back. It was her best advantage. And then back on the Ark in the last year, her other advantage was a very good looking janitor. “Oh that’s sad.” She didn’t like the entire concept of it. Why did they not let kids at least continue to study if they kept them locked up until they were eighteen? Some won their review. They could have gone straight into working, in millers case probably straight into the cadet program.
His offer was not unwelcome at all. People as opponents had the advantage that they could fight back, punching bags couldn’t. She had tried to work on a bit of strength. She would need that, too. “I would love that.” Gena replied. She was a bit nervous about it, though. “But please keep in mind: I usually train to get away from handsy customers in the car or canteen, I stand no chance against you, under usual circumstances.” At least if she could believe Bellamy and she usually could.

“Thought so.” Gena commented with a smirk. “Your brother speaks about you a lot.” He had done so a lot more back on the Ark, when everything about her and their mothers fate were the source of his pain and selfhatred. Now it was filled with even more pride for her. Listening to Bellamy to talk about her, anyone would be impressed with Octavia without even meeting her, but he was her brother. He loved her. Gena lingered as she shook her head to indicate she didn’t want any food. She had timed it to be able to stay and talk to her for a moment, should she want to and it seemed like she did. She wondered why exactly, but given how protective her brother was of her, she was probably as protective of him. Maybe she wanted to see why he hung around the bar late without getting drunk. It seemed to be an interesting assumption.
“I’m originally from Farm Station.” Gena began. She leaned forward to put her elbows on the counter and smile at her. “I used to work in the canteen in Factory Station. Would have come down with it, but decided last minute on Mecha. But yeah, Farm Station.” She could have provided her with deeper information on why she went to Mecha and not Factory, but it was a sore subject, one she barely breached with Bellamy even. Losing a mother was not a light subject. Especially not with someone who was technically a stranger even though she considered Octavias brother her best friend.

He had a very good point. She really had no reason to keep him up at all. If they went to sleep now, they could almost sleep in, so it might actually be the best idea to just change into what they slept in now and then sleep. “You make a good point.” She said, almost mirroring what he tended to say about her arguments. She got up and started to take off her pants and shirt and replaced them with the lose pants and shirt she usually slept in. Gena removed her bra while already wearing the sleeping shirt. “Now I have exactly no reason to keep you up or make you get up again.” She mentioned, leaning forward to press a soft kiss to the corner of his mouth. Changing was always a bit of a pest, though. It was cold and so she made her way under the blankets. She was cold, man. And she couldn’t wait to get to snuggle up to Bellamy, because he was warm.
Gena slipped herself under the blanket. It would be a tight fit, but that one would help the warmth. And it felt good to rest under the blanket. With him she would probably be warm in no time. Bringing the blanket up to her chin, she smirked at Bellamy. “Go on, strip for me and come to bed.” It was a tease of course, nothing more, but she just liked to see him smile and she hoped to achieve that. “You know we can technically sleep in tomorrow. Unless your shifts changed.”
