whatever THE HELL WE WANT This wasn't good. Not good at all. It wasn't that Bellamy didn't trust Gena. But trust, could only go so far. He had known her since he could remeber, having practically grown up together. But then . . . not really at the same time. Out of anyone else on the Ark though apart from his own family, he was closest to Gena. So if anyone ever had to find out about Octavia, he supposed it was a relief that it was her. But that still didn't bring his mind to ease. He had let this happen. And now, he risked the lives of his mother, his sister, and even Gena who would be burdened by this secret. He knew his mother would be livid if she found out he let this happen, so Bellamy needed to speak to her about it.
He needed to figure out where her head was at. He couldn't just let this go. He never would be able to. They had agreed to meet at her apartment. Her mother at work would allow them some time alone, to talk about things. He felt nervous, unsure. The control he had when it came to protecting Octavia was forcibly relinqushed by Octavia's discovery by another. Gena was a good person. A great person. But . . . the laws here was strict. And he would understand her own fears over keeping a secret such as this one. No one had ever kept a second child as long as the Blakes had. Bellamy didn't want to be the end of that. He couldn't lose his family. Taking a deep breath, he knocked on her door, trying to figure out what he would say, though nothing came to mind. How did he asked her to keep such a dangerous secret? How could he not ask her? He would forever prioritize his family over all else, but that didn't mean he wanted to lose Gena over this. The conflict was strong, and the resolution non existant. Which only made him all the more uneasy.

Gena hadn’t left her room that much that day. What she learned of her boyfriend was shocking. She didn’t know how to deal with it initially so she took her time alone, claiming she needed to look a few things up. She was, technically looking things up, but certainly not what her mother expected her to look up. It was research on Bellamys situation, as subtle as it go. She had to read through the entire damn Exodus Charta for it, but she would, for him. Her mom was luckily out, working, when she heard the knock on the door. She already had an idea who it would be: Bellamy.
Gena opened the door for him. She didn’t know how to react to him. What would he think? What should she say? How could she even express how confused she felt? But she was sure of one thing: She loved him. And she wanted to be there for him. That was why she was reading the damn law text and they were exhausting. So after a moment of staring at her boyfriend, she smiled at him. Gena leaned forward to kiss him gently, before taking his hand to let him in. “Mom is at work. So we can speak freely. I guess that is why you are here, right?”

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy looked at Gena when she opened the door. He couldn't read the expression on her face. He didn't have any idea what was on her mind. Was she pissed? She would have every right to be. He had lied to her for so long. While he had his reasons, he also knew that it could damn well make it hard to trust him. And, he didn't want to do anything to ruin this. To ruin them. Though, it might be too late for that. He couldn't bring himself to say anything. He just watched her, as if her first words or actions would be what set the tone for this conversation. And soon enough, it was revealed. She leaned forward to kiss his lips.
He stayed completely still, not having expected the intimate gesture. Her smile that came before it, the tender embrace, and then her hand taking his as she led him inside. This . . . was too good to be true. Then again, she was too good to be true. He was a bit dumbfounded as he just mindlessly followed her inside. How did he deserve her? How did someone this perfect actually exist? "Yeah," he said, knowing they had to have the conversation. Though part of him just wanted to pull her close and kiss her again. But no. They needed to talk. "I just . . . " How did he even started this conversation? "Wanted to make sure we were ok." Which, they apparently were, but no. It was more than that. "That you're ok." Because of what she had discovered about him. What she had discovered about his family.

He seemed to be torn up inside. She could imagine he didn’t exactly feel at ease. It was a topic he had to keep close to his heart, she guessed. He had a sister. His family had an illegal child that they had to protect and care of. At the same time she finally understood why she could not come to him. He had to make sure the sibling was safe and Gena was a stranger in the family. She was a danger to that. She probably still as that. The more people knew, the more people could slip up. She understood that not telling meant safety for his sister. It had nothing to do with trusting her or not, even though it felt weird. Part of her wished he would have trusted her with it, the other really couldn’t blame him for it at all. Gena walked to the table and sat down. If they wanted to talk, it was a good place for it. For the time being they could just sit together and talk, what came later would be told by time.
“Of course we are okay, Bellamy.” She said, trying to put his mind at ease. “Why shouldn’t we be? I, however” She wanted to be honest with him and that meant telling him, that she was not okay, as they would say. She was confused and troubled about this. She wanted to help him, but didn’t know how. And the looming danger of it was scary in itself. “I’m confused and overwhelmed with this a bit. I know why you didn’t tell me, so of course we’re good, but I’ll have to make sense of it first and need to grasp it first. It’s not something you hear every day on the Ark”
