Nightbloods or Natblida are Grounders who possess a special kind of blood: black blood. They are believed to be chosen ones, and raised as well as trained in Polis at a young age to one day become Heda. When the Commander is killed, a conclave is held where all the Nightbloods are gathered in a room and engage in a fight to the death. Only one emerges, and following that, the flame chooses whether that person will become the next Heda.

Most Nightbloods are children, and unless they become Commander, do not reach adulthood due to the conclave. There are very few who are the exception to this. If you would like to make a Nightblood on the site, please take a moment to read the following guidelines and limitations (the only exceptions to these guidelines are the canons from the show: i.e. Commanders, and Luna):

• Nightbloods can not be older than 13.
• OC adult Nightbloods will not be accepted, as this would take away the rarity of those canons in the show. If you have a nightblood and would like to AU them as an adult, that is quite alright! We will not be allowing OC adult nightbloods in canon plots though.
  
• Nightbloods can only have canon plots pre episode 9 and anything follow it must be AU.
