.:Physical Appearance:. Mari is petite and looks very fragile. But don't let her appearance fool you. Since the age of 5, her guardian and protector has been training her. She has raven black hair that varies from shoulder length to down the middle of her back. She has tattoos on her arms from rituals and family tradition. She often wears traditional jewelry of her people and her hair is always loose unless she is going to fight, then she wears it in a braid.

.:Personality:. Mari is kind and loves her family more than anything. She has deep rooted feelings against the Mountain Men as they were the ones responsible for killing her father. She is unafraid to fight for her life and for those she cares for. She will remain calm and composed until it is time to defend her people. She is confident in her abilities and all that her protector has taught her. 

.:Special Skills:. Mari is trained with a blade, however, she grew up teaching herself to use a bow and arrow when she used to go hunting with her father. She was taught by her protector how to fight with hand to hand combat, but her strongest weapon is a blade. She is smart, but not cocky. Her strongest skill is being able to know when she has to put her people before herself.

Mari was born in the early morning to Aryanna and Branton. Their first child, Hartley, was beyond excited to have a little sister to take care of. She grew up like any normal child of Trishana until one day in her 4th year. The small girl was out tracking with her brother, now 7, and Hartley noticed that she was especially skilled with the knife that she had been given to cut herbs and berries. He realized that she had something in her that most young Trishana girls did not. Her brother had every intention of making her the best because he could tell Mari was strong. Branton knew what that meant, but Aryanna was fearful of letting Mari train at such a young age. There was a very good chance that she would be chosen to train as a second at as a young girl based on her talent. She was only 4...she couldn't let her little girl go. 

Mari's parents managed to hide her true abilities for nearly another year before they realized that it was better to send her into offical training before it was too late. But they weren't going to send her alone. They knew that Mari would need someone to protect her, so they sent Hartley as her protector. He was only 8, but he cared more for Mari than anyone else in the world. The two small children arrived into the training camp on the eve of Summer solstice to begin a life of training for Mari. 

When Mari was 16 and Hartley 19, they received word from their mother in Trishana that their father had been captured by the Mountain Men and has yet to be returned. The two siblings had heard the horror stories of the Mountain Men and what they were doing to Grounders. They had a feeling that they were never going to see their father again. As much as it upset them, it only fueled their desire to continue training. Mari would seek redemption for her father one way or another.

14 years in camp brought nothing but constant training and fear that at any moment war could be called. Mari was one of the youngest seconds Trishana had seen, but she knew that any one of the warriors had the capability of killing her. Hartley had become her guardian, protector and teacher ever since they stepped into Camp. He was by her side each and every moment of every day unless Mari had a man staying in her quarters...but even then it took time for her to convince Hartley to let that happen. On the eve of her 18th birthday, Mari, as well as her brother, returned to Trishana, seeing her mother for the first time since the age of 4. It was a bittersweet reunion as Mari knew that one day it would be time for her to fight with those she has grown up training with and she risked death. The day of her 18th birthday saw Mari's rise to power as the second to the leader of Trishana. It was a risk for her to be the warrior she was, but she was ready....She would avenge her father and protect her people...whatever it took.
