Marcus bounced into his mother's place and almost turned around and walked out--Had he come to the wrong place? Who was the girl? His mother sometimes took in children, but never for long. He no longer lived here so she had the space to do it. "Hello." He greeted in a light way. Then in a bit more serious/curious one, "Who are you?" He tried to remember if his mother was taking anyone else in--but honestly he tuned most of her conversations out when she got in on the children.

He cared, but he was trying to be a guardsmen, not a priest. He was more about fixing the problem rather then helping the victims. Even still, this girl was older and sort of hot. He walked closer tot he table and put his two hands on it so he could lean over and look at what she was working on. Homework? Marcus was grateful he was past that stage. He had paid his dues and now he wanted to move up into a position that gave him some freedom to make the choices--not follow someone else.

She seem pleased with his choice, and even teased her fellow cadets. Marcus knew he couldn't show favoritism toward any one cadet so he had to hold back his smile at her words toward them. They were overly arrogant, and while they showed clear signs of being able to do the job--he also knew chances were they'd enjoy the power. As long as they didn't abuse it, then he had no control over how they would be as officers--unless he got his promotion. Then he would have some control.

She almost continued speaking but then the warning sounded. Damn it! Marcus pushed to a stand. He didn't like the idea of being trapped in here with her. Not that he didn't enjoy her company--but she wasn't wearing pants, and her underthings were on the table. It left him uncomfortable. Not emotionally, but physically. He was a young man, and while he didn't date--he was working on his career--he did enjoy spending time with women. "Since it appears we will be here for a while, sure." He took her up on her offer and didn't sit down.

Marcus was working on making sure everything was ready. He wasn't sure what it would be ready for, but he just wanted it to be ready! With the way things were shaping up, he knew that it could lead to all out war. Either with the grounders, or with the grounder. He rather be their allies, but he knew sometimes things didn't work out. “Kane?” He looked up when he heard his name and wasn't surprised to see Clarke. She had taken more of a in charge role. So much like her mother. So much like her father too. “Do you have a minute?” He shifted to look at her.

He rested back against the table behind him so he was half sitting on it and thus closer to her own height. "Yeah," He offered, waiting to see what she had to say. He was assuming she was here to tell him what she was planning to do with the grounders. While Marcus no longer saw her as a kid, he didn't think she was ready to lead. He did think that people were ready to follow her, and he wasn't sure she understood the difference. Still, if there was anyone else whom he would trust to understand the weight of it, it was Jake Griffin's daughter.

I don’t expect you to be anything. I had other things to worry about than telling you. or make it legal. I felt like I had no other choice. You’re not obligated to the child. His head was swimming from her words, and they only served to make him more furious! Did she hear herself speaking? "I should apologize," He began, "For whatever I did to make you have so little faith in me." Because she had applied for the permit BEFORE he broke up with her. She had done all this BEFORE he had spoken to her about them being unable to continue on as they had been.

"Of course I am obligated! This is MY child--no matter the steps you've taken to make sure I wasn't it's father!" He snapped at her. How could she do this to him?! How could she think he'd not care? Marcus wanted to shout at her, or shake her! She had put another man's name on his child's permit! Which means that when he made her change it--and he was going to do it real fast!--everyone would not only know about them but think she was sleeping around! His co-workers, and friends would forever wonder if the baby was really his! He held up his hand, cutting off anything she might have said after him. "We are going to go and edit the permit. You will replace his name with mine. This is my child. And I intend to be apart of his life!"

This is cherry1 and Kyle Wick ! Notice the ponytail, and leg brace, so I know for SURE it's Raven, and the guy has to be Wick, cause the hair is colored light and everyone else has dark hair. Besides, who else would be with her that close to anything she is about to make go boom?

Marcus looked down at Cass while she complained he could stay by herself. Part of him wishes she could, because he didn't know what to do with a 17 year old girl. Right now he had enough to worry about, and he didn't need her underfoot. Though know how teenage boys could be, he wasn't going to leave her alone to invite one over. While he didn't want her underfoot--he was still protective of her. He wasn't going to let anything happen to her while her mother as ill.

"Maybe, but speaking as a former teenage boy, I know how much trouble you can get into when alone." And he wasn't going to give her the chance. "It will be harder for them to sneak over when it's my door they they are knocking on." He was mostly teasing her this time, even if his voice was serious. There was a hint of a joke there, deep down. "Pack you a bag, Cass. Bring your homework. We are leaving." And that was the end of it. He didn't wast time arguing. He would make her supper and let her dig into the archives for one of the movies from the Earth that she liked. Didn't girls like them movies?

Fuck. Marcus had come into his office to get something and seeing his daughter there, with the files all around her didn't sit well. Taking a deep breath he shut the door behind himself, and walked toward her. They'd lock her up for this. They's send her to Earth like the Griffin girl to keep her mouth shut. He was not going to loose her like Abby Griffin was loosing her own daughter! He would find a way to contain this!

"Keep your voice down." He told her sternly. More so then he'd ever been with her before. "Yes I knew. There are things you don't know about. If Jaha finds out you know, you will be joining them." He warned her, and reached over to turn the monitors off. "Before you go all hell fire--" and he knew his daughter well enough to know she would, "--you will sit down and let me explain." Because right now he would break the rules and tell her, if it meant she would understand why she needed to keep her mouth shut about this.
