words: tag: Tara C. Donovan notes: aaaaa- I'm so, so sorry about the sudden absence. |
That feeling haunted Kat constantly, leaving her in a state of distress. With everything that happened recently, all she wanted was some peace when it came to her thoughts. However, that safe haven wouldn't be granted to her. Instead, she'd be plagued by terrible thoughts and memories of the last couple of days. It was a miracle that she was finally able to speak up a bit, and finally start discussing what her thoughts were. With the way things were, she could use an opportunity to finally breathe and sleep properly for once."Mm.. it must be a helpful job." Kat finally pipped up, offering a brief smile moments later. There was no reason to disagree with Tara's statement, she was telling the truth. "We have to do what we can, don't we?"
Despite the onslaught of tears and slight shakiness in her movements, Kat couldn't prevent anymore tears from falling. It was the constant thoughts of what they had to do-- what she had to do, that left her racked with guilt and panic. The auburn haired girl didn't want to linger on the thoughts of what she did. However, everything seemed to remind her of what had gone on. The only haven she had was during the moments she was awake and conscious, where she wasn't relying on sleep to distract herself. Something that no longer helped her. "I..." Kat's voice was slightly muffled as she raised her hand, trying hard from crying further.
Maybe Tara did have a point.. maybe she wasn't as bad as she thought she was. Slowly taking in a couple of breaths, Kat's gaze flickered up briefly to glance over at the brunette for a moment. While the brief switch in conversation was nice, the auburn haired girl found herself reeling back for a second. Sleep was hard to come by, and yet she found herself craving it more so right now. Releasing a small breath, Kat quickly found herself nodding her head in agreement to Tara's proposal. Getting some sleep right now could be the next best thing for her. ".. I think I might take you up on that offer, as long as it's alright." Kat pipped up, keeping a more softer tone when she spoke.

Kat wasn't sure what to believe, not when everything around them were leading her thoughts to stray elsewhere. Recent events had left her recoiling out of stress or her growing desire to remain silent about her nightmares and thoughts. Unfortunately, that couldn't be a constant in her life any longer. She needed an outlet for her thoughts, otherwise she was going to grow weary the more time passed. "You described the feeling perfectly." Kat agreed, offering a brief smile in return. Tara described the feeling all too well. Freeing her mind sounded right, especially with all the thoughts that wanted to be free. "Yes, it's just.. difficult getting all of these.. thoughts out in the open for once."
It was difficult to stop the onslaught of tears threatening to spill as Kat tried to focus on the comforting words Tara spoke. Despite the growing desire to remain strong, she couldn't prevent her tears from falling. Being the ground was great, but the burden of the last few days was weighing heavily on her mind. To be precise, the recent battle with the Grounders had been the main reason behind this feeling. That was the first time she had ever killed someone- an experience she didn't want to relieve ever again. However, Kat was all too aware that now was the time to be ready to fight, especially with the other Arkers on the ground now. "-- Are you sure..?" She questioned, trying to keep her voice steady despite the occasional shake in her body.
For a second, the auburn haired girl wasn't certain on what her answer was. Between the nightmares and the packed schedule, she was wide aware for a majority of the days- which explained the weariness and exhaustion clinging to her. Swallowing her pride, Kat forced herself to speak up. After all, she came here to get this off of her shoulders, not keep it there any longer. "It's been awhile since I've had more than a few hours of sleep. Well, enough to describe as decent at least." Kat admitted truthfully, toying with the hem of her sleeves. |

words: tag: Nina Eaton notes: ack. sorry about the delay! |
At the teasing remark, Kat's lips were pursued in a brief smile to Nina's words. It was great to have a chance to chat with her again. With the unfamiliarity of the ground, having someone she knew was a great feeling. Not that she didn't enjoy the company of the hundred, but it was different having someone she knew personally here with her. It wasn't the same as going through a life changing experience with someone. "I can't imagine anything else more important than that." She mused lightly, ignoring the dull ache in her head. Despite the lack of wounds on Nina's body, the auburn haired woman couldn't stop herself from sweeping her gaze over the brunette briefly. The last thing she wanted was to see her hurt as well. "That's good to hear. I couldn't imagine what I would do if.." The thought wasn't one she dared to continue, instead it was promptly shaken away at the next second.
At the mention of what happened to the adults, Kat found herself tempted to ask about her own parents- but what good would it do now? The missing hundred was the priority right now. Where did everyone else go? They should have been in the dropship still, untouched by an danger. "We were planning on finding you guys, but we got a bit side tracked as you can see." Kat spoke lightly, not having any desire to remember all of the fighting that had taken place earlier. Releasing a small breath, she debated her next set of words. "Who's.. back there at your camp?" She questioned, deciding to approach the topic lightly.
Raising a hand briefly, Kat idly wiped away at the blood staining her best- though not much could be done. "We.. didn't hear much about what happened after a few of us talked with our parents last time." Then again, it had been awhile since that happened. Considering how quickly things had changed here, it wouldn't be too far fetched to believe things had changed in the Ark before the crash.

At the teasing question, Kat's gaze flickered over to Bellamy momentarily as she debated her words. "Ah, I wouldn't call it that." She replied, "More like minor adjusting in my part.". With the way things were going, it was either adjust or be left behind essentially. After all, everything was constantly changing in the ground. "It is, but I'm not complaining about the rooms." She mused with a smile. Considering they were sleeping on makeshift beds when they first landed here, having a comfortable mattress to sleep on was great.
With Bellamy mentioning everyone else, Kat found herself pausing for a moment at the thought. Finding all of their people was the goal here. Unfortunately, there was no telling how many Arkers were still out there searching for each other. Her parents included. "I hope so too." She agreed, releasing a harsh breath at the thought. "It's going to take some getting used to." The leadership issue might be one thing that was troubling, considering they were so used to Bellamy and Clarke leading them that having another leader was.. strange to adjust to again.
Fortunately, the topic had been switched back to Bellamy and his well being. "That's good to hear." Kat spoke, offering a smile back. Considering he was the main one involved in little bit of everything in Arkadia, it only made sense to see how he was dealing with all of this. The change hadn't been the easiest one, after all. "Maybe, but we'll find a way to deal with all of this one way or another." At the thought, Kat's gaze flickered around her surroundings briefly. Nothing but trees and the gates of Arkadia behind them. "We still have each other at least." The delinquents had been through a lot together, Bellamy included.

Personally, Kat wasn't certain if her actions were considered brave or not. The thought wasn't one she lingered on, especially when she heard Tara's remark. "Mm.. you're right about that. It's not easy bringing it up, despite how many have similar experiences here." She confessed, mulling over her thoughts briefly. She could recall with ease how many times the words were on her lips yet she couldn't manage to confess a single word. There was always something stopping her from speaking up. "I don't know if it's because I want to move past this or something else, but I just want to get this off my shoulders for once." Kat spoke before mentioning how Tara made it easy to confide in her. While there was no denying that the brunette was attractive.. there was something else that made her feel relaxed in her presence. Instead of focusing on that thought, the auburn haired girl quietly urged herself to speak up more. However, it was gradually growing more difficult the moment she mentioned how her dreams began to change. The nervous fidgeting she held seemed to grow stronger as her fingers idly toyed with the hem of her sleeve. How much should she tell her? Was it better to stop here?
With Tara moving closer and reaching for her hands, Kat found herself paying close attention to the brunette's words instead of glancing elsewhere. Instead, the auburn haired girl found herself struggling with words for a moment. For a moment, it almost felt as if she had forgotten to breathe when she felt tears threatening to spill. ".. Thanks, I.. needed to hear that." Kat spoke softly, being mindful to keep her own feelings under control. While she was being honest, she didn't want to burst into tears either during their first talk together. "It's just.. difficult to accept that with everything that happened." Her hands were briefly raised to wipe aside any stray tears that appeared hastily.
"I just.. don't know if it's the memory or the dreams getting to me lately." Kat admitted, shoulders slumping downwards at the thought. With everything going on in Arkadia, the auburn haired girl had far too much time on her hands. Enough time to be plagued by those thoughts once again. All she wanted was to have a clear mind, but it wouldn't happen any time soon. Not until she accepted what happened and found a way to move past it. Something that was quickly proving to be difficult. "Maybe it's both getting to me lately. It's hard thinking I'm the same as before when all of this is happening.." Kat trailed off, lips pursued in a small frown at the thought. |

Given Kat's tentative status between Kane and Chancellor Pike's factions, she had more opportunity to stumble across a few supporters of both man. Ironically, she had already made up her mind long ago. Whether she admitted it verbally or not, Chancellor Pike had already gained her support. There was no real proof that the Grounders wouldn't threaten to hunt them down and slaughter them all. They had done it once, when they first dropped to the ground. What's going to stop them from doing it again? She didn't want to lose anyone else-- Not again.
While the thought of snitching hadn't been a favorable one, the auburn haired girl wasn't going to risk the stability they had now. Things were changing now with Pike as their chancellor. A revolt would only set them further back, placing them in a terrible position when it came to the grounder. They couldn't afford to lose more people, not now. That was the only thought that came to mind when she first approached Bellamy, fully intending to relinquish every bit of information she heard unknowingly.
Once the two were somewhere more discreet, Kat had been quick to tell Bellamy about the impending revolt. There was no way she was going to sit aside right now. The stoic expression on his facial features made her hesitate to believe he thought she was telling the truth. However, the sudden intrigue he showed quickly changed her mind. "There's not a lot being said, but I plan on figuring out the details soon. They mentioned taking Pike down, without violence if there was a chance." Kat hurriedly explained, mentioning each detail that she heard. Before another word could be said, the auburn haired girl paused when she heard Bellamy's remark. He had a point. With a quick nod, she followed him to his apartment, waiting to speak to him more there. "From what I heard, there's a small following beginning to grow in Kane's favor. It's.. the same people that showed a lot of favoritism for Kane." Kat spoke up, after they reached Bellamy's apartment, shutting themselves inside.

While it was great that everyone on the Farm station managed to find their loved ones and friends, it didn't help that Kat found herself feeling unhappy in midst of the reunions going on around them. She had fallen under the belief her parents would've been found by now, whether it was in another camp or a different station. Each time she had been proved wrong. They weren't anywhere to be found from what she heard. The worry would be a constant feeling she couldn't shake off-- not anytime in the near future at least. Nonetheless, it was good everyone else had found their loved ones among those in the Farm Station.
Nodding her head in agreement, the auburn haired girl turned her attention over to the others for a moment. Despite how many people they found, there was still plenty of space remaining back in Arkadia, surprisingly. "Maybe we'll find everyone else sooner or later." Kat stated lightly, unwilling to indulge that topic any further. "There's bound to be more people from the station somewhere."
For a second, Kat found herself peering at Bellamy in confusion until his question finally sunk in. A tired look crossed her features as she mulled over her answer. From what she learned, there wasn't much news on what happened to her parents. That was worrisome. Releasing a small breath, the auburn haired girl forced herself to relax. It wouldn't help anyone if she got worked up over the lack of information on her parents. "No. There.. hasn't been much news on them. No one seems to know anything-- about my.. parents, I mean."
The bitter tone she heard left her reluctant to comment, but she ignored the feeling quickly. It might have the apologetic look in Bellamy's eyes that made her judgement sway, and she shook her head to dismiss the apology. With the way things were rapidly changing, there was a lot of tension they were dealing with. "You're helping a lot of people here too." Kat stated, only offering a brief smile at the thought. Considering Kane and the others were at the summit right now, it didn't take a genius to figure out that Bellamy should have been there beside them. "Is there anything else on our lists for today?"

There was something about exploring that made Kat grow distracted with her surroundings. Normally, it might have been a bad habit. However, things were different this time. Maybe if she was lucky she would tire herself out with all of this exploring. That had been her original intention at least. There was something about the bar nearby that was beginning to sound a bit tempting to her. However, that curiosity could be touched at another time. "I figured this place would be less crowded this late in the night." Kat answered honestly. "Besides, I didn't get much time before to actually explore." She rambled on for a moment. Between their arrival here and everything else, the auburn haired girl had the tendency to pack her schedule with her guard duty or training. Free time had been fairly nonexistent.
"There's not many people awake this time at night-- at least exploring the place." She answered. This wasn't the first time she wandered about Arkadia's grounds. However, she wasn't willing to reveal that piece of information. Besides, it was better to focus on her conversation with Bellamy instead. When Kat heard his question, she couldn't find any reason to reject his offer. Any company was better than nothing, especially if it gave her the opportunity to distract herself from her thoughts. " Some company would be nice." She admitted. Turning her gaze over to Bellamy, Kat paused for a moment as the bar came to mind. "Care for a drink?" Considering the variety of bottles, there had to be more than alcoholic drinks tucked away in the shelves.

Despite settling down in Arkadia, Kat was still trying to grow accustomed to life here. It was a major change from their camp back at the drop ship. She couldn't fully wrap her head around the life here, especially with the constant thought of not knowing her parents whereabouts. It pained her not to know where they were but she couldn't keep focusing on that. Not when her thoughts often shifted between the last battle with the Grounders, them, and Mount Weather. Everything that transpired recently left her recoiling into her room or the guard. Anything that would keep Kat moving around and completely distracted from her thoughts.
Her thoughts consisted of the people she's killed.. hurt. She didn't want to think about that memory any longer. Bottling up her emotions wasn't the best option, especially when Kat was steadily growing more troubled each passing day. While she could talk to the other delinquents about this, there was always something keeping her from speaking up about her troubles. She wasn't sure if it was the fact she couldn't find someone to talk about this or if there was another reason behind this silence. With all things considered, it might have been the first one. With everything going on, it was almost as if there was this reluctance to speak up about what happened to them. Honestly, Kat didn't think she could deal with that any longer.. not by herself at least.
Kat already had her suspicions this would be another sleepless night for her, especially when she spent the last half hour attempting to sleep. That had been the thought lingering in her mind when she finally decided to head outside of her room for the night. Getting her boots on, the auburn haired girl grabbed her jacket as she made her way out into the hall, already beginning her impromptu exploration of the quiet Ark. Kat had barely lingered in the Hangar for a moment when she heard someone call out for her-- Bellamy. Turning to face him as she offered a tired smile, she mulled over her answer for a moment. The auburn haired girl didn't expect to run into anyone at this hour. It was far too late in the night. "-- Not at all. I thought some.. exploring would help with that problem. Hopefully at least.." Kat confessed honestly, seeing no reason to beat around the bush. It wasn't until she realized it something that she found herself glancing over at Bellamy, a mixture of concern and curiosity appearing on her facial features. "Can't sleep either?"

words: tag: Nina Eaton notes: wow. this is longer than I expected |
While Kat might not have been close friends with Raven, it didn't shake off the concern she felt. Considering someone had been shot moments before the battle, there was a lot to take in during that moment. Between the Grounders and the Reapers, there was a lot of delinquents sporting injuries. Of course, that didn't include the ones who were harmed after the blast of the rockets. Kat being one of many who barely managed to scrape by in the aftermath with various scattered cuts, fortunately. "Sorry, there was just so many things going on. I.. didn't hear about much of anything when the bombs went off." She hurriedly explained, not wanting to add anything else to Nina's plate. Besides, if Raven was with Abby, then she should be alright in the end. From what she heard from her mother, the older Griffin woman was a great doctor. There was no need to spend more time worrying, especially if her worries would only add more stress in the grand scheme of things.
There was a mixture of emotions stirring up wildly inside of Kat as tried to figure out what the emotion she should be feeling right now. Guilt, sadness, or confusion? All three emotions were affecting her far too much at the given moment. "I.. see." Kat answered, exhaling softly moments later. There was no indication of the whereabouts of her parents. Then again.. did she really want to go that route and ask about them? No, she wasn't prepared to know. Not yet at least.
"I'm glad you're safe, Nina." And she truly was. The thought of losing Nina wasn't a possibility she wanted to occur. After losing so many people down here on the ground, she didn't want to imagine how differently things would be if she lost her. After all, Nina did say they lost two stations on the way down to the ground. It wasn't until the thought registered in her head that she found herself growing more concerned. "Are you alright?" Kat questioned concerned. It wasn't until the conversation shifting over to the people in the new camp that her attention flickered elsewhere. "I wonder.. who's there." The auburn haired girl pondered aloud. Between the guards she saw here, she couldn't shake off the desire to see who had arrived on the ground as well. There were a few she could recognize here.
With the light squeeze on her arm, Kat could only offer a brief smile as she followed Nina into the through woods and down the route to the camp. "You don't have to apologize." She lightly insisted, "Besides, I didn't answer many of your questions either." Considering how little she knew of what happened after the blast, the auburn haired girl hadn't been the most helpful. "How long have you been searching?" Kat questioned concerned.

While Kat did enjoy being in Arkadia, the auburn haired girl wanted to keep her schedule heavily occupied. The thought of sitting around and doing nothing didn't sit right with her, especially when it gave her free time. Time to wander where her parents where and if they were safe out here in the ground. The thought was a constant one in her mind, something she couldn't deal with at the moment. When given the chance to be a part of the guard.. Kat didn't think twice about accepting the role. The position was one she had been interested in the Ark before she had been arrested for her crime. Maybe this was her luck being to change for the better, at least she hoped so. With a quick nod of her head, she fell into agreement with Bellamy. There was no reason to waste any more time in Arkadia, not when there were so many things to lure her attention elsewhere.
Getting the opportunity to patrol the surrounding border or Arkadia would be a good change of pace for Kat. Ever since the battle with the Grounders, it felt as if she was stuck in the same place-- never being granted the chance to move forward. Things needed to change now that she was Arkadia.. whether or not her parents were still alive out there somewhere. Patrolling was her best bet to getting the change she wanted.
Surprise was the first emotion that revealed itself on Kat's facial features before giving way to reluctance. How were things going with her..? It was a loaded question if every past event since their arrival was taken into consideration. Swallowing dryly, the auburn haired girl's gaze flickered elsewhere, faking interest in their surroundings for a moment. How was she handling things? "I.. could be better... We all could." Kat answered weakly, uncertain of how to answer Bellamy's question. Considering her answer, it would only stir up more questions in the long run. It seemed like a good idea to just fess up and be finished of this dilemma. "Honestly, I'm just trying to adjust with the other.. " She paused, mulling over her words. There was no need to bring up her parents in this discussion. "people from the Ark, but I'm fine really." She quickly finished, turning her gaze over to Bellamy briefly. "Are you doing alright? It's a.. change being here, after all." Kat questioned, hoping to shift the attention elsewhere.

It might have been a normal gesture, but with everything that occurred recently.. it was difficult to have some normal in their lives again. There was a constant sense of danger and tension with everyone, which was understandable. They lived with the possibility of dying at any moment, something that seemed to briefly come to a halt. For now at least. With everything that had gone on, she was finally ready to come to terms with a majority of her troubles-- every last detail of those troubles. From the moment the war with the Grounders began to the arrival of the others from the Ark. Kat needed to get this out of her system before her guilt threatened to engulf her. Besides, Tara had offered her the opportunity to talk. While it wasn't outright spoken by the auburn haired girl, the seventeen year old couldn't find herself willing to speak about her troubles to any of the other delinquents. It was true they were probably the only ones who shared the same experiences with her, but.. everyone seemed to prefer handling these troubles silently. Something she couldn't do any longer alone.
"Yes, but not everyone is up to talking about what's happened back at camp. Not that I blame them.. it isn't something that's easy to be open about." Kat explained, turning her gaze elsewhere for a moment-- peering down at her hands briefly. "It's just the that moment isn't one that's easy to bring up with the others. It's a lot easier to be open with you about this." She added. Honestly, she wasn't sure if it was because Tara hadn't been there when it all occurred or there was something else-- something she couldn't see just yet. Maybe she'll get her answer sooner or later. With Tara's response, her gaze lingered on her for a moment, debating something before she relented for a simple nod of her head instead. While she was being open about her troubles, privacy was always a blessing to have.
Despite relaxing moments ago, Kat's eyebrows were furrowing as she could recall with ease the memory of what happened at the dropship just a few days ago. It was hard to shake off the memory of that day, regardless of what transpired recently. As she finished, Kat's attention flickered over to Tara as she heard the question, her lips parting for a moment to speak. Were there changes in her memories of what really happened? Fiddling with her fingers as her gaze was focused on the ground, Kat tried to concentrate on the details that she could remember. "It varies.. sometimes I can see it happening in front of me, other days it's only a dream. I don't think the memory ever changes. There's.. always someone dying by my hand in the end." She confessed, swallowing dryly at the thought. The vivid imagine of a crimson hue staining her hands wasn't a sight she could forget so easily. While the memory was the same, it didn't specify her dreams. They were constantly changing, making her out to be more of a.. killer than she thought she was. "The dreams are where everything changes... it's not always just a few.. sometimes there's more." She trailed off momentarily, reluctance lingering on her facial features for only a moment. "They're always changing. Sometimes I'm alone in the middle of all of that, having to relieve that moment again otherwise.. I'm dead in that dream." Kat finished, struggling with the latter of her words briefly. "I don't want to hurt anyone-- I don't.. but in those dreams I can't stop myself from reacting." She exhaled softly, tempted to cut herself right there. However, she couldn't stop herself from speaking. "I just want the dreams to stop. I don't want to see that scene play out, not again." Kat confessed weakly. After countless nights spent tossing and turning, she preferred to have a night where she could actually get a decent nights' sleep instead of being kept awake by the dreams of a memory that can't be changed.

Help was what Kat needed-- and it was something she refused to chicken out from. Besides, rejecting Tara's help wasn't something that had crossed her mind. Constantly being reminded of the past and trying to deal with it on her own.. wasn’t helping in the slightest. She already accepted the fact she needed help dealing with her issues awhile back. What better way than this? While she arrived with that mindset, it didn’t imply she wasn’t the least bit nervous about confessing her thoughts and feelings. It should have been an easy task but the words refused to escape her parted lips. At Tara’s words, the auburn haired girl could only offer a small smile at the thought. “Thanks.” She answered softly, already beginning to relax more so with the conversation. “Mm.. I just didn’t know who to go to about this. I can’t say I spent much time with anyone else long enough to speak about this freely.” Kat admitted, mulling over her choice for a moment. Nina was her closest friend, yes, but she didn’t want to trouble her with these thoughts. Not when a majority of them wracked her with the heavy weight of guilt. Besides, there was something about the older girl before her that made it so simple to confess what was on her mind. Nonetheless, if she was able to talk to Tara about this then.. by all means she would. Anything helped if it took away some of the weight on her shoulders.
Tara’s words were a relief to hear, especially with everything that had gone on in their lives on the ground. No one had been spared from this stressful time. Despite the adults being here, things were entirely settled with any of the delinquents. Many of them were still missing their parents, either by the culling or by the descent of the Ark station. Either way there was still many things to take in and adjust to. “Thanks again, I’ll keep that in mind.” Tara’s offer would be taken seriously by the auburn haired girl. Before the thought of leaving could be considered, Kat quickly found herself distracted by her’s question. “Oh.. uh sure.” She answered, nodding her head in agreement. Was there something she wanted to talk about? The first thing that came to mind was the war with the grounders. “Yes.. there is something that I wanted to talk about. That fight with the grounders.. I uhm.. did something. I had to it was.. us or them.” Kat’s words were rushed, almost threatening to become a small ramble of inaudible words. “I had to kill someone else. I.. I can’t stop remembering what happened in that moment.” She swallowed dryly, focusing her gaze on the floor.

It might have been the fact that Raven's wellbeing was the last thing Kat heard before the rockets went off, her concern had spiked up tremendously. Internal bleeding.. Now that was a horrible thought. "She's already being taken care of, right?" She questioned, concern leaking through in her voice. With Kane's men here in the remains of the drop ship, it should be safe to assume Raven would be alright. For all she knew, Clarke's mother could have been on the ground as well, tending to the wounded that remained of the hundred. "No one mentioned how serious it was.." Kat trailed off, her lips pursued in a thin line. Was it the fact they were in the middle of battle that everyone felt inclined to keep quiet about Raven's wellbeing? Despite that thought, she wouldn't be able to diminish those lingering thoughts anytime soon. it was with that thought she found herself wondering about everyone else's wellbeing. Considering the crash landed, her concern was well placed. "How's everyone else doing?" Kat questioned, hoping things were in better condition in Kane's camp. Maybe there were any casualties in that area. Abandoning the remains of the hundred's former camp should have been an difficult task, but Kat found herself desperate for a change of scenery. Maybe things would change for the better in the camp Kane had set up for those that had fallen from The Ark. "How many people are there..?" Kat questioned, her eyebrows furrowing with worry. Considering how many people were on the drop ship, maybe it wouldn't be far fetched to believe that her parents were still out there somewhere. However, the auburn haired girl didn't want to consider the possibility of her parents not being in Kane's camp. Ignoring the thought, she focused on Nina's answer instead. She had no reason to argue with her judgement. She earned her trust a long time ago. Besides, her body felt awfully weary and beaten at this point, reaching the extent that she wanted to collapse onto the floor. For the sake of appearing well, Kat kept her stance still as they spoke with one another. The auburn haired girl had never been one to place her own wellbeing first, constantly putting it on the bottom of her list. She couldn't help but appreciate Nina's concern for her wellbeing. As much as she hated to admit, having her tag along unchecked wouldn't be a good decision. "Mm.. It's a good idea, you know." Kat mused lightly, chuckling softly at the thought. "As much as I hate to say it, I can't say I'm feeling the greatest right now. Nothing besides a quick check up with one of the doctors will fix that." She admitted reluctantly, deciding not to hide that fact from Nina. She was her best friend. Besides, lying to her was never an option for her. "Lead the way." Kat mused lightly, beckoning for her to step forward and show her where to go. While she might know the terrain, the auburn haired girl was clueless as to where their camp had ended up in.
