Despite what they had gone through in the past few days, they were still children in the end. The same ones who had gone through streneous events, forced to do things they wouldn't have done up in The Ark. Kat just wanted an opportunity to settle back and ease her guilty conscious. Regardless of those thoughts, there was no guarantee that her thoughts would diminish in the near future. She needed to try and see if talking about these thoughts would put an end to her nightmares. Even if it would take a couple of days or months, Kat wanted to kick start the process already. Shifting slightly in her seat as she finished speaking, the auburn haired girl raised her gaze to peer at Tara for a moment. Given her shifty behavior, her nervousness was blatantly obvious at this point. With the silence finally being broken, Kat turned her attention over to Tara as she quietly listened to her answer. While there was no guarantee her nightmares would be put to an end, she needed to try at the very least. Maybe she would be fortunate enough to be spared from these nightmares soon if she spoke up about her dreams and thoughts more often. Coming here hadn't been a half hearted attempt. After all, she had finally knocked on the door and stepped inside Tara's room for once. "I.. know, but I want to try it and see where I can go from there." Kat confessed, offering a small, tired smile.
Whether it took various hours or several months, Kat was going to be committed to this discussion. She wanted to give it a shot for once. Maybe a change could be made somewhere. Releasing a small breath, the auburn haired girl forced herself to speak up once more. "I'm tired of handling these thoughts alone. It's not helpful to keep it bottled up, anyways." Kat rambled on for a moment, quickly correcting herself seconds later. "If you think it would help, I want to come talk to you again. I.. think it would be a good thing, especially with everything going on." She admitted, after much thought. The grounder war and her parents were topics that needed to be approached sooner or later. If Tara was willing to hear her out, then.. she would be more than cooperative with these self appointed sessions. Raising her hand briefly, she brushed aside a few stray strands of auburn hair behind her ear. "It's not troublesome if I decide to drop by again, right?" Kat questioned, mulling over the pesky thought. The last thing she wanted to do was trouble her, especially if she was willing to listen to her ramble on and on about her thoughts.

Nervous would be a fitting word to describe Kat's current state, particularly with recent events being brought to everyone's attentions. There was no better time than the present to finally speak about the nightmares plaguing her mind frequently. Perhaps nightmare wasn't the correct term to use. Memories were the better term to use. Constantly relieving the first few days on the ground wasn't keeping her conscious cleared. She needed to talk about them sooner or later. With her parents gone and everyone keeping quiet, Kat wasn't certain on who to go to --- but Tara had extended her hand out to her. It wouldn't hurt to talk her about this. "I.." Sighing softly, Kat's lips were pursued in a brief smile. "Thanks."
With Tara beckoning her to come inside her room, the auburn haired girl could only nod her head and step inside. There was no point in delaying this talk any further. Once inside, she had taken a seat on the desk chair with her hands in her laps. Kat could hear the brunette's words slowly coercing the girl to open up. This was a much needed talk for her. She didn't want to be plagued by her nightmares any longer. Despite fiddling with her fingers, the auburn haired girl's gaze lingered on Tara for a moment.
"Ever since the war with the grounders, I... can't get those images out of my head. I can't stop seeing them in my dreams." Kat spoke up, her voice kept to a much softer tone. Her eyebrows furrowed slightly as she mulled over her next words. Speaking up on her dreams, and memories, was always a topic she tried to hold off on. However, she couldn't hide it any longer. "It's hard to stop seeing what happened-- what I did. I don't want to see them anymore. I thought it would stop now that we're here.. but it hasn't." How were you supposed to stop dreaming? It was an impossible feat. Releasing a shaky breath, her facial features contorted with worry. "I just want it to stop. I don't want to keep relieving that day over and over again." She already had a permanent reminder scarred on her body, right above her eyebrow.
"I thought seeing my parents would stop that.. but they're not here. No one knows where they're are. Everything is just.." She rambled on for a moment, lips pursued in a frown. "I just want to stop seeing them in my dreams. That's all I want. I don't want to think about them anymore."

Everything that occurred in the last few days had left Kat feeling rather weary and beaten down to say the least. Despite winning the war against the Grounders, for now at least, there wasn't a shred of good news to greet them. With the arrival of the Arkers in Arkadia, the auburn haired girl couldn't help but feel uneasy here. Between the unknown location of her parents and the recent toll from their latest battle, she was constantly on the brink of worry. Down here.. it seemed like there was something constantly going on-- a big evil that they needed to take care. Getting an opportunity to be a part of the guardsman had been more than a bit relieving for the stressed female. The constant worry of her parents safety, and her own actions, had left her feeling terrible. Things were never meant to go this far, and yet they had. Everyone had gotten blood on their hands one way or another. A nagging sense of worry kept stirring inside of her, almost making her wonder when the next attack would come. Any peacefulness they had now wouldn't last. Not with so many things still being undiscovered by the people in their camp. Despite the rush she was in, Kat had managed to dress in her uniform beforehand, saving her the extra time of actually being late.Releasing a breath, the auburn haired girl hurried and packed the last remains of her pack before slinging the strap over her shoulder. She peered at the contents on her makeshift bed for a moment, reaching a hand out to tuck away her small blade in her pocket and grabbing her rifle. The latter of her items being something she struggled to get. There had been some arguments, but the rifle had been given to her in the end. At least some of her worries, along with everyone else's, were temporarily diminished. There was a moment of peace between their camp and the Grounders for once-- but who knew how long this would last. Before her thoughts could delay her, Kat had been quick to tuck the strap of the rifle around her shoulder before rushing out of her room. Today would prove to be an interesting day to say the least. From what another guard had told her, she was on patrol duty with Bellamy Blake today. It would be a rare opportunity to prove what she could do, after all. With nothing else to keep her, she wasted little time in hurrying over to the gates where Bellamy was waiting.
"All set." Kat answered, already going through a mental checklist. There wasn't anything missing. Her weapons were on her persona along with her supplies. Everything was in order. "We're all set to go, right?" She questioned, glancing back at the other guards training nearby. It wasn't until the auburn haired girl heard Bellamy's reply that she followed him as they ventured past the gates to start the patrol.

As much as Kat tried to deny it, there was very little anyone could do to sway the votes in favor of Kane. The people of Arkadia had spoken and they had chosen Pike as their new chancellor. It was clear that the growing tension with the Grounders had made everyone, well a majority of the group, anxious to hurry and deal with them. The faster they took down the Grounders.. the quicker to true peace they were. Whether or not Kat admitted it, she found herself struggling to decide who made more sense in this situation. Kane with his consistent attempts at peace or Pike who wanted to take down the Grounders before they would clear the field with them. It was a risky decision despite previous circumstances. The people of Arkadia had already suffered once from betrayal by the Grounders. Who's to say it wouldn't happen again if a greater enemy were to arrive and threaten them all?
Perhaps she shouldn't have been so slow to pick sides, but it was growing increasingly difficult to keep her voice quiet. Before long, the vote had been counted--- Pike was the winner in the end. However, it wasn't the outcome that had changed her thoughts. No, it was the Chancellor's speeches that had changed them. What was stopping the Grounders from betraying them again or attacking them? Just because they had a truce with one group, it didn't imply everyone would respect it. They needed to eliminate the threat before it grew any bigger and took them all down by surprise.
While having Chancellor Pike finally make a stand against the Grounders, there were whispers going around of a revolt. Considering how close Bellamy was to Pike, being called his second in command, Kat didn't bother to second guess her decision to come find him. Someone needed to report this situation before it blossomed into something horrible. A revolt would only set back their plans to take down the grounders. With everyone they had lost they shouldn't risk the possibility of making that number increasing any longer. That was the thought lingering on Kat's mind when she had approached Bellamy outside, where Pike was talking with a few of the farmers."Can I talk to you? " She questioned, gesturing for him to follow her to a more discreet location with a wave of her hand. "There's rumors going around about a revolt.." Kat explained, facial features contorting into a troubled expression.

With Kat's growing desire to distract herself from recent events, she was one of the first to volunteer to help everyone get settled. It was a better distraction than sitting around.. constantly worrying about her parents. She needed to move past that dilemma one way or another. And the best way to clear her head was by helping others. At least that's what she told herself. Granted, this was more or less the consequence of not following the stern rules of not venturing further into the woods. She might have taken a gun during that small misadventure to search any nearby areas by herself. After all, they found those from the Farm station still alive. There was no reason to fully believe the possibility of her parents being dead any longer. They could be alive this very second.. somewhere.
Unfortunately her misadventure to find them had landed her a one way ticket here instead. There would be little time for her to grow distracted by that thought if she was occupied settling in those from the Farm station here. Straightening up her posture slightly as she set down the luggage from one of the older folk, the auburn haired girl glanced over at the other guards. Everything seemed relatively peaceful for now. She could only hoped there wouldn't be any encounters with the Grounders anytime soon. No one needed a reminder of those they lost recently.
With Bellamy's voice suddenly being heard, Kat quickly snapped out of her thoughts and turned her attention to him. "Everyone's settled here now. They're just unpacking their things." She answered, sneaking a brief glance at their surrounding. With nothing out of the ordinary catching her eye, her attention lingered on Bellamy. The question was on the tip of her tongue, waiting to be spoken. Considering his presence here, it was a bit out of the ordinary for him not to be with Kane and his group in the summit right now. ".. Are you doing alright?" She questioned tentatively, uncertain if she should drop the subject or continue further.

With all things considered, Kat wasn't showing any concern towards her old well-being at the moment. Despite any bleeding wounds, which there were a few, that wasn't her main concern at the moment. No, she was more concerned about where the rest of the hundred had gone. They were supposed to be in the drop ship.. why weren't they there anymore? Maybe something had gone wrong when the rockets went off. Stirring with anxiety, she forced her attention on Nina's words instead. Anything to keep her emotions steady. "It was just them in the dropship..?" Kat questioned, her eyebrows furrowing at the thought. Was it possible that they knew something about what happened? The sudden memory of what happened earlier quickly stirred the auburn haired female. "Is Raven alright?" She quickly questioned, concern leaking through in her voice. The last time she had seen the mechanic she had gotten shot awhile ago. There wasn't any time to ask about Raven between all of the fighting with the Grounders, after all.
Before another peep could escape her, Kat was pulled into a hug, startling her for a moment. Maybe it had been the fact she could have ended incinerated with the Grounders by mistake that left her feeling vulnerable. With the way they had lived their lives on the ground, there was no telling when anyone would be next. At the thought, she found herself not giving a damn about her own confusion towards their situation. Instead, Kat had settled on returning the hug quietly. Nina was her best friend. She couldn't imagine what would have happened if something had changed and stopped this meeting from happening. No, she didn't want to imagine that horrible possibility. With Nina pulling away, Kat's lips had settled in a smile as she had spotted the one on her friend's lips. It was a struggle to stop her smile from widening when she heard Nina's words. " I was afraid something had happened to you." Kat admitted, remembering all too well the scare everyone had when they heard about the Ark falling. "That means a lot to me you know. You're my family too." With everything that had gone on, it was nice to know she still had family down here. At the thought, she quickly pipped up, "Don't worry, I don't plan on going anywhere." That was a promise she intended on keeping. With the thought of Kane's guards being here, she could only wonder if they would take her back to their camp regardless of any protests."I'll help you find the others." Kat offered suddenly, having no intention on ditching her due to her weary condition.

She didn't want to remember what happened afterwards, not when it meant accepting her parents were dead. Well, the more appropriate term would be missing. However, Kat knew how little that term meant recently. There was little reason to believe they had survived the crash down to the ground.. or involved themselves in the culling. She didn't have a way of knowing what happened to them during their time away from one another. Between throwing herself into her guard duties and the current battle, Kat wasn't coping so well with her parents' absence. The reminder of the Grounder war and the blood staining her hands wasn't a sight she could forget so easily.
Shuffling slightly, the auburn haired girl pulled the bomber jacket closer to her as she headed down the hallway. Before long she found herself standing before Tara's door. The older brunette had offered her a few sessions to talk about the things bothering her. Initially, the opportunity of talking about her thoughts were the last thing on her mind but something had changed. Running away from her problems wasn't helping her situation. She needed to get it out of her system, especially with the way her dreams were beginning to turn into nightmares gradually. Kat didn't want to be plagued by that scene any longer.
Releasing a small breath, Kat raised a closed fist to the door before lightly knocking on the door. In the few moments it took to open the door, she almost considered retreating within that small window of time. With Tara standing before her, the auburn haired girl straightened up her posture slightly as she willed herself to speak up. "You're not busy, right..?" She questioned softly, hazel hues flickering away from her for a moment. This wasn't the first time she had come by-- granted, those times she had chickened out on actually knocking.
It wasn't supposed to be this difficult to speak up about her thoughts. The task was a relatively simple one compared to everything else she had done during her time on the ground. Raising her gaze off for the floor, Kat finally met Tara's gaze for once. "I wanted to talk. You mentioned.. that I could talk to you." She briefly explained, repeating the offer Tara had given her once. Might as well come clean with the whole truth. "I figured a talk might help clear my mind."

The Grounder war had provided enough distraction to keep everyone's attention away from what happened the previous night. As far as Kat was concerned, the thoughts of her parents had diminished when the group was forced into battle. While a majority of their group were just children, they couldn't delay the inevitable fight any longer. Kat could remember the shouts coming from the camp, some from her own group and the rest from the Grounders. However, the blast from the drop ship had drowned out all of the noise she heard for awhile. As far as she could remember, she wasn't entirely conscious during the time of the explosion. The gash on her forehead had been a good reminder of that. Raising her hand slightly to cover her mouth, she tried to ignore the strong scent lingering in the air. It was difficult to get the smell lingering in the air out of her thoughts. The scattered bones on the charred ground wouldn't be a sight she'd forget so easily.
Fortunately for Kat, Nina's figure in the distance had calmed down any nerves that threatened to make itself known. Forcing herself to walk faster, despite the consistent desire to throw herself on the floor, she hurried over to meet her friend. It was a relief to find someone after all of this chaos. Swallowing dryly as she listened, the auburn haired girl could only nod her head in acknowledgement. She knew the reason behind this all too well. While she wanted to know more about who was here, that particular conversation could wait until later.
"There was a fight going on with the Grounders until the drop ships' rockets went off. I.. didn't see much from there. The blast kept me down for a bit." Kat explained, mulling over her memory for a moment. As much as she tried to recall each detail, she couldn't remember what happened afterwards. The rockets had went off and from there.. she drew a blank. Peering deeper into her memories wouldn't help her solve this mystery any sooner. "Everyone else should be in the drop ship, if they weren't outside when the blast happened. I don't think there were a lot of still outside when that happened." Kat stated, turning her gaze away from Nina to glance over at the drop ship. They were in there, weren't they?

After the ring of fire that encircled the drop ship, Katarina had been lucky enough to be far from the blast radius during the fight. There was still a dull pain in her head as the auburn haired female tried to get up- ignoring the small chatter of voices in the distance. Dirt and blood were coating her face and clothing, some of it being her own. Releasing a strangled breath, she forced herself to rise to her feet, almost staggering downwards again. Reaching up towards her face, she could easily see the damage that had been done on her forehead. A bleeding gash on her right eyebrow and multiple cuts and bruises along her arms. She could've been in a worse state than she was now. Kat's fingers briefly ran through her disheveled hair, not bothering to fix it. The others should be somewhere nearby or in the drop ship, if she was that lucky. At the thought, she forced herself to start moving despite the desire to linger back. It wasn't until she heard familiar voices in the distance that realization had finally sunk in. " -- Wait..!" She called out lightly, eyebrows furrowing in confusion as she slowly made her way over. Mumbled curses escaped her lips before she forced herself to slow down. With one last push, the auburn haired girl stumbled forward towards her former camp. Despite her gun being bullet less, she kept it in her hands still. While the blast may have killed a few people, some of her own included, there was no guarantee whoever was at the camp now was good. With that thought in mind, she was drawing closer to the camp only to stop before it. Regardless of the other bodies moving about the camp, her attention was focused on a certain brunette holding a gun." Nina..?" Kat questioned, eyebrows furrowing in confusion. The last time she had seen her had been in the Ark. How many people traveled down to the ground? Were.. her parents here on the ground as well? Despite the temptation to speak up, Kat ignored her thoughts as she wandered closer to Nina. " Is everyone else okay?" She questioned, looking around the camp and noticing other guardsman loitering around the camp grounds. Tag: Nina Eaton

If anyone's interested, feel free to send a PM or comment below. Affiliation: The 100, The Ark, Camp Jaha/Arkadia || Orientation: Bisexual || Age: Eighteen || Guardsmen Friends: Around friends, Kat is known to be quite patient and honest in their presence. Granted, she isn't the best at confessing her thoughts to someone unless they've grown closer to one another. Either way, she would usually be the first one to stick her neck out for her friends in a majority of situations. While this is true, she has a tendency to call them out at times if she feels like they were in the wrong. Despite her honest nature, Kat has a terrible tendency to sugarcoat the truth around her friends. She can't seem to tell the full truth to them. Although, this only occurs if the situation happens to be dire at the time. In a daily basis, anyone who becomes her friend are usually people she'll often help if trouble ever arises. They can count on her to help them throughout any troublesome situation. As of right now, there's not many that take up this role in her life. Close Friends: With those Kat is close to, she's fairly trusting and honest with them. There's very little hesitation when it comes to interacting with them. With this in mind, she's free to show affection and her feelings to them. Anyone who's grown close to her knows that she can be foolishly brave when it comes to sticking her neck out to defend them. They earned her trust, didn't they? Usually, if one of her friends is considered to be in the wrong, she would give them the benefit of doubt often. They deserve her patience and understanding, after all. With that in mind, she'll fight to keep them safe despite any difficulties she might encounter along the way. In a daily basis, her close friends happen to be someone she'll rely on and confide in. As of right now, there's not many that take up this role in her life.
Romantic interests: When it comes to those Kat loves, she holds little to no hesitation when it comes to showing them affection. It could come in the form of constant affection or even subtle touches. Either way, she has no qualms in showing such a thing. For anyone who holds her heart, there's very little she wouldn't do for them- regardless of the circumstances. While Kat tries to tone down this particular trait, she can be a bit territorial when it comes to loved ones. She can't help but becoming a tad impulsive during this state. In her defense, the auburn haired girl can't shake off the thought that she might lose them because of someone else. Because of this, Kat tries her best to be more patient and open with her thoughts. While this can be a good thing, she has a tendency to be giving to the extent of not minding how much is being received on her end. As of right now, there's not many that take up this role in her life.
Enemies: While Kat is known to be patient with others, that doesn't mean she'll refrain from any sarcasm. She'll try to be civil with those that get on her bad side, but it's not a guarantee either. Whether or not an argument occurs between them, she tries to keep an open mind when speaking to her enemies. They have to live together, don't they? There's has to be some amount of tolerance towards one another. Otherwise, they would risk a lot of petty arguments for no reason. Granted, Kat does have a tendency to be more defensive around those she hates, often going far to counter their remarks at times. It's a terrible habit of her's honestly. As of right now, there's not many that take up this role in her life. || PLOTS || Pending----

| ~ • ~ | Character Basics | ~ • ~ | .:Name:. Katarina Roux .:Nick Name:. Kat .:Affiliation:. The 100, the Ark, .:Age:. Seventeen ( season one), and Eighteen ( season two) | ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ | .:Physical Appearance:. Katarina's body is slender with an athletic build due to the training she previously underwent. Due to her training on the Ark, she tries to maintain an upright posture as much as possible. As far as her womanly assets go, the brunette is a endowed at a medium sized b-cup. She has a fair complexion though it often becomes tinted with a light rosy hue. Her cheeks are lightly dusted with freckles, which also happen to appear on her shoulders. Her eyes are a bit round and hazel colored- a trait she received from her mother, Aurore. Katarina's eyes can be described as expressive though there's a hint of exhaustion stirring within them. Her lips are slightly full and can often be spotted in a small grin from time to time. Katarina's clothing consists of dark tones and a few warm but still equally dark tones thrown in. Personally, she prefers wearing anything that either flowing, fitted, or warm. Moving on one of the outfits she can constantly spotted in is a black top with a warm colored button down shirt, dark denim skinny jeans and dark brown hiking boots. She has no qualms against dresses, shorts or even skirts at that. Nonetheless, she prefers to be comfortable and warm with her clothing at all times if she can. Before the 100 were sent down to Earth, Katarina’s hair was kept short- reaching a bit past her shoulders and effectively covering her neck. After her imprisonment, her hair gradually grew longer and wavy reaching her lower back almost. Her bangs are often brush aside creating a parting in the middle, or simply brushed behind her ear. The color of her is described as a medium reddish brown shade. Her hair is often let down though she'll end up arranging it in a messy bun or a simple braid if she can. On Katarina's lower back, there's a few faint scars running along her back almost reaching her upper back as well. A majority of these were from incidents related to her time training as a guard. After the grounder war, there's a few scars scattered across her upper arms and a small burn mark on her left shoulder. On her forehead, there's a faint scar above her right eyebrow- a result from the explosion. As far as piercings go, she does have a single pair on each earlobe other than that she doesn't have any more. .:Height:. 5'6. .:Portrayed by:. Elizabeth Olsen | ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ | .:Personality:. Katarina can be quite defensive and quick to bite at times, but she's loyal nonetheless. Her defensive nature only comes out when she happens to feel threatened by something or someone. In a way, you could say she developed this trait due to the sheltered life her parents tried to contain her in. For Katarina, it's scary getting close to someone else and then being hurt by them- on purpose at that. Of course, it's quite difficult to force her to let her guard drop so easily, but she pushes herself forward nonetheless. She finds it foolish to remain scared about things when she has a chance to discover new things. This trait often leads her to trouble on more than one occasion. Even under pressure, she's hardly the type to spill secrets to others, especially if it's a crucial piece of information. Then again, that may be her eagerness to keep secrets a secret from others coming into play here. However, if the secret happens to be something harmful.. then she might feel inclined to talk about it further with the person involved. She wouldn't hesitate to offer help, especially if it has to be discreet. After all, she wouldn't want anyone to be suffering when she can offer her help, to take away some of their suffering. However when it comes to her own suffering and troubles, she's inclined to keep her mouth shut and deal with her problems herself. During those times, Katarina is the type to act like nothing's bothering her. Once trust is established with the female, Katarina is hardly the type to doubt her friends though that's hardly surprising. She prefers to give them the benefit of doubt, before allowing a misunderstanding to occur between them. Of course, it helps the female a lot that she's quite observant, making sure she spots every single detail. Pushing that aside, Katarina can be fairly affectionate and playful towards those she treasures dearly- even a bit flirtatious at that. In fact, she wouldn't hesitate to act affectionately with them, excluding any acts of intimacy that might require more work. When it comes to intimacy and affection for others, Katarina can be a very giving person, having no qualms in showering them with affection or even subtle touches. However, she's prone to becoming territorial if she feels like someone else is stealing all the attention from a loved one. In fact, she doesn't enjoy the thought that she'll lose someone because of someone else's actions. Of course, she knows this is a bad thing to feel but she can be rather impulsive in that state and do things she'll possibly regret in the near future. Katarina can also be quick to shout or bite back if someone is speaking about her in a cruel manner or a loved one of her's at that. .:Special Skills:. Kat has decent experience at hand-to-hand combat, though that's due to fights she would occasionally get involved in. While she does a decent job at fighting, she lacks the physical strength to make it hurt. She does her best to fight by using the terrain and the items around her to the best of her ability. Considering her knowledge with combat, she's not the greatest at long ranged combat. Don't expect her to throw a spear at someone and actually get them. It's more than likely that it'll fall on the ground before that happens. For Kat, it's best to be nearby or close enough to pack a punch. Due to her fondness of exploring, she does pretty well in long distance running, especially on the ground. There's plenty of areas to explore, after all. While it's true she does a good job at running, Kat can't track as great as Finn, though she does try her best to do so. Despite any medical advice or experiences she may have witnessed, she's not the greatest at being a medic, especially if it involves herself. | ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ | .:Birthplace:. Alpha station, the Ark. .:Family:. Alfons Roux, father ( presumed to be deceased), and Aurore Wolf, mother ( presumed to be deceased) .:Occupation:. Delinquent, eventual scouter/guard in training on the ground. .:History:. Katarina was born on December 27th to Alfons Roux and Aurore Wolf sometime near midnight. Growing up was relatively easy for the female considering the position of her parents' jobs on the Ark. It classified her as one of the middle class on the Ark, leaving her in a relatively decent place on the ship. With that being said, her childhood had consisted of nothing but fond memories and not a single hardship. Of course, it didn't help her growing up considering how parents seemed to try and shelter her beforehand. She did make a few friends in the Ark. Things gradually changed once she was nearing her seventeenth birthday, Alfons managed to pull some strings with a fellow guard to place her into training. Granted, this wouldn't occur until she was old enough to actually attend the school for guard training. It was a spontaneous action that wasn't well received by the female at first, but she decided to give it a shot anyways. While Katarina couldn't actually attend the school yet, she tried shadowing some of the guards' movements. Ironically, this would lead to the incident that would stripped her of that opportunity. Katarina had noticed a single mother with a sickly child, all too aware of the fact the child was in desperate need of medicine. While she knew it was wrong, this didn't stop the auburn haired female from stealing a some medicine when she had visited her mother at work recently. She had taken the stolen medicine and hid it carefully in her clothing. Everything would have been fine if the inventory hadn't been checked that following day. Katarina could've sworn her heart stopped the second a guard had approached her later on in the day. Despite her quick thinking, the medicine would later be found on persona when she was attempting to return it back to the woman after hours. The guard had already noticed the small bottle in her pocket earlier, but made no mention of it until now. Wordlessly, she was suddenly arrested by another guard and forced to retire to one of the cells though her case was still being processed. It would later be decided that she'd be held accountable for her crimes against the Ark. Her parents had been devastated by the news but there was little they could do to stop it.
It wasn't long before she was grouped in part of the hundred to descend down to Earth first. With her descent to Earth with the remaining hundred, Katarina was practically elated and terrified all at the same time. It was amazing in her opinion. It was incredibly easy for her to get lost in her own thoughts concerning the new place they would call home. Honestly, it was easy for her to become ecstatic about their new home- causing her to be swept up in everyone else's pace at the time. Incidentally, this was where Katarina become good friends with a few others among the group in the 100.
With the sudden chaos going around in their camp, she had been insistent on joining the search with the others. Ironically, it wasn't until they were made aware of the Grounders that Katarina found herself wanting to do more for the group. This particular thought led her to become more involved with the group, prompting her to join various hunts and other activities going on. It wouldn't be far fetched to say she was scared of the threat the Grounders posed to the group, especially with the panic spreading throughout the group of teenagers.
By the time the grounder war occurred, she had the misfortune of being outside during the time of the explosion. Katarina was absolutely terrified by the explosion which landed her with a burn mark on her left shoulder along with a few scars. Although the most prominent one would be the gash above her right eyebrow that would later develop into a scar. Other than that, she did suffer from quite a few injuries due to the war that went on previously. A majority of her upper arms were cut up and bruised while her face seemed to be coated with blood, a result from the injury she sustained above her right eyebrow. An injury that would later leave a scar on the girl.
[ season two timeline ]
When some survivors of the Ark landed on Earth, Katarina was completely devastated that her parents were nowhere to be found. Her father, Alfons, had been presumed dead while her mother, Aurore, was last seen alive. However, no one knew of her whereabouts at the given moment. However the brief radio call they had earlier had informed her of her remaining family members health. They were alright for now.
