A scoff left her lips at his comment about barging in. Well, it was a mix between a scoff and a chuckle, but Nina felt no need to differentiate between the two. She had a feeling that their 'relationship' or lack thereof would be a mix of sarcastic comments and hostile tension. Neither sounded appealing but Nina was always quick with the sarcastic comments, and it appeared that Bellamy wasn't terribly slow in that department either. Another comment fell from his lips, as if to only reiterate her previous thought. Turning to toss a glare at him, Nina picked up on his underlying tones. "You don't exactly strike my fancy," she said. Turning a corner, Nina walked towards the door to her apartment. She unlocked it and stepped inside, leaving the door open for Bellamy to follow her.
Dropping her bag to the floor, Nina walked around the coffee table and down the hall so she could grab the book they would probably need. They hardly brought books to class, but this one had been assigned with this specific class. It was only for assignments like this that required it. Walking back into the living room, book in hand, Nina sat down on the couch. "Let's just make this as quick and painless as possible," Nina said as she opened the book and began leafing through the pages. "I don't want to be here as much as you do." Because she still felt annoyed with him for taking her act of kindness as an act of manipulation. If she wasn't so stubborn, she would try to kill him with kindness. But she was stubborn and she was beyond frustrated with his lack of logic, at least in her eyes.

She laughed at Harper's confirmation of her suspicion. Not that she minded not leaving the bedroom, especially if Harper was involved. But she knew it would be frowned upon when it came to any daily duties, but Nina knew she would be too enthralled with Harper to really give a damn. Her words only made her grin and she could feel Harper's eyes on her. Glancing over at the blonde, she shot her a wink. She could already picture it. Being in bed with the beautiful blonde for hours, with the sheets wrapped around their bodies. It was erotic and seductive and Nina simply couldn't wait. But for now, they had to get through this. They had to get their asses to Mount Weather so they could do whatever stupid task they had been set with. Nina had half a mind to turn around. They would be of no help to those already there. But Nina knew that disobeying any orders wouldn't bode well.
Nina could feel the tension course through Harper and she froze. She hadn't even needed the girl to grab her hand to let her know something was wrong. The two were aware of their surroundings and right now their surroundings were telling them something wasn't right. Something was there. Or someone. The Grounder made its presence known by throwing a knife, attempting to get Harper. Nina quickly turned, eyes wide at the sight. Her hands quickly repositioned themselves on her gun and she aimed it at the Grounder, ready to pull the trigger when she could get the shot. To hell with the cease fire. This Grounder obviously wasn't playing by the rules and if that was the case, Nina wouldn't either.
But before she could pull the trigger, the Grounder launched at her, knocking her gun from her hand and making her fall against the forest floor. Nina landed with a thud and groaned, looking up to see that the Grounder had returned his attention to Harper. Moving quickly, she got up from the floor and lunged at the Grounder, jumping on his back and wrapped her arms around his neck in an effort to cut off his oxygen supply. But her grip didn't last long when he stuck his knife in her arm, causing Nina to release him and cry out in pain.

As far as she knew, Raven was being taken care of. But she wasn't one hundred percent certain how well she would be taken care of. She knew with their limited supplies down here, helping her would be difficult. Nina didn't really know much about medicine or any sort of surgery, but she could only imagine how difficult it would be without the specific supplies. "She went with Abby," Nina said. It was neither a confirmation or denial about Raven being taken care of. "I didn't really get to see or talk to her, so I'm not sure." Nina had been too busy searching the area for any survivors. Besides, it wasn't like her and Raven were besties or anything. "But maybe we can see if any of the other guards know more about her?" Nina offered. She just wanted Kat to feel better and if knowing how Raven was would help make that happen, then that's what she would do.
"I'm not sure," Nina confessed. "I was on Alpha Station when we crashed, so I only know about others on that station. We haven't been able to locate Farm Station yet and I'm not sure what other stations landed. I think we lost one or two in the deployment," she explained. Nina pursed her lips and glanced around the camp at her other question. "I'm not sure." She had never been great at looking at a crowd and estimating how many were there. "But you'll get to see for yourself once we get back to camp." Readjusting her gun in her grasp, Nina smiled and squeezed Kat's arm, thankful that she had agreed to return to camp. Nina told someone where she was going and began to lead Kat through the woods and back towards camp. "Sorry I wasn't really able to answer many of your questions," she said. "I've been sort of caught up in whatever Kane wanted me to do. Been focused on finding you guys."

Nina nodded her head. If Kat thought the rest of the hundred were inside the drop ship, then she certainly didn't know where they were now. Earth was a large place and while they couldn't have gone far, they still didn't know the area. "I think so," she said, answering her question about Raven. "I didn't see much but I think I heard someone say something about the bullet causing some internal bleeding or something." She didn't want to worry Kat but she also wasn't going to lie to her. Nina had never been a fan of lying but knew that down here, telling people the truth was how they had to run things. Lying in order to protect someone could ultimately result in their death.
Smiling at her friend's words, Nina let the comment sink in. It had been a while since she had heard anyone express any form of concern for her. So to hear that Kat had been concerned about her well-being, well, it made her feel loved. Nina nodded her head, happy that Kat planned on staying where she was. Nina wasn't sure she could survive losing her only friend. Let alone, her best friend. Biting the inside of her cheek, she mulled over Kat's words. It would be nice to have someone with them that knew the general layout of the area. But she had also noticed the cut on Kat's face along with some other wounds that should probably be looked at. "Maybe we should head back to the Ark," Nina said slowly. She glanced around to see Kane speaking with two of his men. It wouldn't be long until they moved on and Nina knew that she had to figure this out quickly. If they left now, they could probably catch up with Abby, Raven and whoever else had tagged along with their party. "I think you should get looked at. I don't want you passing out or anything. Let's just make sure you're okay and then we can head back out to find the others, okay?" Nina asked.

Her eyes traveled to the gash on Kat's forehead. She had no idea how long it had been there, but it needed to be addressed soon. If she didn't get that cleaned out and covered then it would surely get infected, especially considering their current environment. But she decided to leave that alone for just another moment. Right now, she was concerned with finding out what happened here. Where had everyone gone? Listening to her story, Nina did her best to try to put the pieces of the puzzle together. She raised her brows at the mention of the rockets going off. Well, that had certainly been a smart idea. Nina was certainly impressed and wondered whose idea it had been. But that was an unimportant question at the moment and she knew to keep it to herself for the time being. She saw Kat look towards the drop ship and she peered over her shoulder as well. So her friend had no idea where the others were. It wasn't what she wanted to hear, but Nina was glad that Kat was okay. She didn't care if she was being selfish. Her best friend was safe and that's all she really cared about.
"Uhm," Nina began slowly. "No one is in the drop ship," she explained. "Well. Murphy and Raven were in there but they've been brought back to the Ark for medical attention." Raven had been in rough shape and Nina frowned at the memory of the girl's body lying on the drop ship floor. Sighing, Nina reached forward and pulled Kat into a hug. Nina was not an affectionate person. She didn't go around hugging everyone and she certainly wasn't a fan of PDA. But this was a moment that certainly called for a hug. Kat was safe and Nina just kept repeating that thought over and over in her head. For so long, she had wondered if her friend was still alive. Pulling away from the hug, she offered the girl a smile. "I'm glad you're safe," Nina said. "You're my family and I'm not sure what I would have done without you." Her father had perished in the crash, not that she really cared. Nina and her father had never really gotten along. Thinking of her father, Nina wondered if Kat's parents had survived. She honestly hadn't thought of trying to figure that out.

"I will," Nina answered without even thinking. She took a moment to process her words and realize what she had said to Clarke. In that moment she realized it didn't really matter how the two of them weren't even really friends. It was this moment that would solidify their friendship for the future. Nina knew that Clarke had a point and she wasn't going to let her talk her way out of returning because of a small detail like that. Nina could easily be there for Clarke. She could allow the blonde to cry on her shoulder or be the one to snuggle up with her in bed if that's what she needed. While Nina didn't have many friends, she knew that she was a damn good friend to have. For a moment she considered all of the other people in Clarke's life that she should be able to rely on. There was her mother, being the obvious choice, but obviously something had happened for Clarke want to not go to her mother. She knew Bellamy had a lot on his plate as well and Nina had a feeling that Clarke was not someone to burden someone else with her problems.
She couldn't help but to chuckle at Clarke's words. How true they were. They were complete opposites and they were lost with one another. The two had never really spoken more than a few words to one another and here Nina was, offering to be that person for Clarke; that person to let her lean on. "And maybe it's that reason that makes this such a perfect idea," she mused. "I want you to feel like you have someone on your side, because that's what I'll be. I can carry any weight that you can't and I know we don't know one another, but we will. Because I'm going to be that person for you, Clarke. You just have to let me." She knew offering to be Clarke's rock and actually being her rock were two completely different things. She knew it would all depend on Clarke and whatever choice she decided to make.

It was still hard to believe that she was on Earth. Nina had been sure that she would have died in a fiery explosion on the way down. She wasn't sure if she would have preferred that to suffocation had the Ark stayed in space. But now she was here and the only thing she had to worry about was radiation and apparently people down here that they called Grounders. But the 100 had survived thus far which meant that the radiation was low enough for them to survive, or it would just kill them slowly. But right now the important thing was finding the kids. But last time they heard from them, apparently the Grounders were ready to wage a war. What if they were too late? They hadn't been able to find them yet and Nina was worried they hadn't been quick enough. She didn't have a ton of friends, but the few that she did have were with the delinquents. Kat was down here and so was Bellamy. Both were people she cared about and she didn't even want to think about the possibility of being too late.
The atmosphere was eerie as they walked into the camp. The drop ship that had brought the kids down stood in the middle of the clearing. The sides were charred from fire and Nina didn't miss the sight of charred bones littering the ground as well. Some sort of explosion had engulfed the camp and she wondered how many of these skeletons belonged to their own kids. Nina clutched the gun tightly. She was more than thankful that she had been allowed one, even though there was no reason she wouldn't have been. As a part of the guard, Nina had been recruited by Kane to look for the delinquents. She had been more than happy to help out, not wanting to stay behind and watch everyone try to recover from their crash landing.
The sound of someone calling her name caught her attention. She knew that voice. Turning around, Nina spotted Kat. Relief flooded through her. Her friend was alive. "Kat," she breathed with a sigh of relief. She walked towards her and met her halfway. Listening to her question, Nina glanced around the camp. "Depends on who you're talking about," Nina said. "We just got here so we're not sure who is here but I don't see any kids. What happened?" Nina asked, hoping Kat could shed some light on the current condition of the camp.

Harper claimed that it was all fine, but Nina didn't necessarily believe her. But she wasn't going to push her, as she had never been one to push people to talk about things they didn't want to. Sometimes it bit her in the ass, but most of the time it was why people enjoyed being around Nina. She wasn't constantly annoying them to talk about things they didn't want to. Nina nodded her head. No, there wasn't any time to date on Earth. Hell, there had hardly been time to date on the Ark. But that had been because of Nina's hectic schedule with training and work. She had always been so busy so it was no surprise that she never had any time for real dating. Hooking up? Absolutely. But never dating. Her schedule had always been so busy that her only friends were those that were in the guard, and even then she wasn't too fond of her options.
"We'll do something, I promise," Nina said. She dropped her hands from Harper's neck and grabbed her hand. The two continued to walk and Nina realized that they were actually much closer than she thought. Nina laughed at Harper's insinuation of doing some other fun things. Nina was always down for that, especially with Harper. "Why do I get the feeling that we won't be leaving my room when we get back to camp?" Nina teased, grinning at Harper.

The decision between a common room and her apartment had her on the fence. If they went to a common room then they would at least be forced to be civil with one another. They couldn't argue over the food or medicine or anything related to that. They would be forced to simply discuss their project, which was probably for the best anyway. But she also knew that common areas were often filled with kids and teenagers, used as a lounge to hang out in. Nina would just get annoyed with all of the talking and she was already in a fairly annoyed mood. She heard Bellamy ask where they were going but she kept walking instead of stopping and falling into step with him. She had half a mind to go in the direction of his apartment, just to see if he would freak out at her. But she decided that would only make working together even more difficult and she really didn't want to prolong this longer than necessary.
"Well we certainly aren't going to your apartment," she said with a roll of her eyes. He couldn't see her roll her eyes but she hoped her tone would convey it. "I was thinking we could go to mine if that's alright," she said. "My mom is at school still and my dad is probably working. Trust me, we can leave if he's there." She had no desire to see her father because Nina knew she would just get into another yelling match with him. And without her mother there to referee, there was no telling how bad it would get.

Nina placed her hand over her heart in mock hurt. "Rude," she said before dropping her hand from her chest. She frowned and looked at him. "I'm not staying here overnight," she said. She had been sleeping on the ground for who knew how long. She would never be able to sleep in the medical bay. The lights were too bright and there were too many people around. Even if the lights were dimmed, everyone would be too loud for her to get any sleep. There was only so much Bellamy could do to keep her there and she wasn't someone to just roll over and take orders. She had always given Bellamy a hard time and she saw no point in giving that up now.
"I can't," she said. "I'm going back to my room. If it makes you feel better, you can come with me but that's all I'm going to say." Nina glanced around the room and saw that most of the doctors were busy with other patients. Some of them looked pretty bad, but others Nina had a hard time figuring out what was wrong with them. She unhooked her arm from Bellamy's and after taking a moment to make sure she was balanced, she walked out of the medical bay. What was he going to do? Throw her over his shoulder and drag her back. Oh, shit. Yeah. She could actually see him do that. At that thought, Nina picked up the pace a little.

The sound of someone knocking on her door made her jump. She should have been expecting it but it had scared her nevertheless. Quickly rising from her spot on the couch, Nina walked towards the door and paused. Taking a deep breath, she put her hand on the doorknob and opened it to reveal Bellamy. She offered him a small smile and stepped aside for him to enter. She closed the door behind him and stood there for a moment. "Hey," she greeted lightly. Well now she felt a little awkward. How was she supposed to tell him? Nina wished she had thought this through a little more. Why was she so nervous? Oh. Right. Because she cared about his reaction. She cared about him. But even now she wasn't willing to let him know how she felt, even with the possibility of never seeing him again hanging in the air. Maybe if she did see him again someday, she would tell him. But who knew how long that would be, and there was no telling if she would even have feelings for him. Maybe if she was lucky, they would disappear while she was on Earth. Granted, this was all assuming that Earth was survivable in the first place but it was a minor detail in the grand scheme of things.
"So, I have something to tell you," Nina began slowly. She walked away from the door and sat down on the couch. Best to just come right out with it. "I'm leaving tomorrow to go down to Earth with all of the delinquents from the Skybox," she said quickly. Now that it was out, she felt like a weight had been lifted from her shoulders. "I wanted to tell you sooner, but I really just got the definite 'yes' the other day," Nina explained. "So. Yeah. That's what I wanted to talk to you about." She pursed her lips and looked down at her hands for a moment, not sure if she wanted to look at Bellamy to see his reaction. Concern. Indifference. There were an array of emotions that could be there.

His final words only received an eyeroll from her. Nina collapsed back onto the couch when he left, physically exhausted from fighting with him. She was sure she had never met someone so stubborn before in her life. Nina knew she was stubborn as well, so her personality didn't help the situation either. But logically, she didn't understand why he wouldn't accept the food if it would help make the medicine work. Sure, he could be fine with the rations that he received, but it was a very large could. And why go through all the trouble of stealing the medicine if there was a chance it wouldn't work? Nina huffed in annoyance at the mere thought. Some people were so damn infuriating and Bellamy Blake was definitely one of them.
Nina didn't run into Bellamy over the next few days but she hadn't gone looking for him either. She didn't have anything else to say to him and it wasn't like they could have a casual conversation in passing. She did wonder if the medicine had worked but she figured she would get to see him in one of their classes together. Even if she didn't speak with him, she could at least see how he was looking. But now that she thought about it, he hadn't looked sick last time she had seen him. But some people looked better than others while sick and it wasn't something Nina would linger on.
Irritated from an argument she had gotten into with her father, Nina sat in her class, keeping to herself. Her friend, David, sitting next to her tried to talk to her and see how she was doing but she had made it clear that she wasn't in the mood. Nina hated her father. She knew that much. Whenever she said it, her mother always chastised her, telling her that she didn't hate her father but Nina knew that she did. How could someone be so vile? How could someone be so . . . horrible? Hell, Nina would rather deal with Kane than her own father. Class started and Nina tried to focus on the words of their instructor but was having a hard time. It wasn't until she heard her name that she tuned into what he was saying. Her name and then Bellamy's name. Had they just been paired together? Nina's eyebrows rose and she had to stifle a laugh. This was amusing as hell. Not that she planned to torture Bellamy with the whole food and medicine thing, but because she knew he didn't want to be paired with her.
Chuckling at his greeting, Nina opened her mouth to respond but someone beat her to it. "I don't think so, Mr. Blake," the voice of their instructor sounded from behind Bellamy. "Now why would I pair you up if my intention was not to have you work as a team?" It was a rhetorical question. God, Bellamy. Please understand it was a rhetorical question. Nina assumed Bellamy was smart enough to figure it out but it was certainly something some of their fellow classmates would miss out on. Nina pursed her lips to keep herself from smirking or making some sort of face to piss their instructor off. "Don't worry Mr. Ross," Nina spoke up. "We'll work together." Nodding his head in confirmation, he walked away to speak to one of the other groups. Nina raised an eyebrow at Bellamy and grabbed her bag, standing up and putting it over her shoulder. "Let's go," she said with a sigh. Nina assumed they would work in a common area or maybe even her apartment but knew he would not want her going to his. He had been so angry at her being there the other day that it was just a fair assumption to make.

Despite her words, he didn't really take them to heart. She could see it in his eyes. He still blamed himself for everything. Nina hadn't been at Mount Weather so she wasn't really sure what had happened. She supposed she would hear it from someone else, since she would not ask Bellamy to relive it all only to entertain her curiosity. But a few details had reached her, such as Clarke leaving and Bellamy and Clarke pulling the lever that allowed the radiation to kill all of those in Mount Weather. But it was kill or be killed and even their training on the Ark had taught them that. He expressed that he was glad she was okay and Nina knew that tone. It was a tone that told her they were done discussing it. She pursed her lips and kept quiet. For now. She cared about Bellamy and would not let him blame himself. She would not allow the guilt to eat away at him. She would beat it into him if she had to. She would annoy him to death with her words if that's what it took.
Nina appeared to be striking out with Bellamy. First he wouldn't accept her words and now he wasn't letting her leave the medical bay. This was not what Nina had expected. In a way, she had expected for him to simply comply with her request but now that she thought about it, it was a silly thing to assume. Nina frowned at him and would have released her hold on him if she was one hundred percent positive she could stand without wobbling a little. She had a feeling that wobbling while trying to convince him she was fine would not work out in her favor. The only thing she was pleased about was his offer to stay with her. After spending so much time alone in the woods, she didn't want to be alone. But Nina didn't really have anyone down here. Her father had died on the way down, not that she would have gone to him had he survived, and most of her friends outside of the guard hadn't made it either. Bellamy was really the closest thing she had to a friend at the moment. Frowning, Nina looked up at him. "Come on," she whined. "I don't want to stay here." She knew that whining would certainly not help her get her way, but she couldn't help it. "You know, contrary to popular belief, it is okay to sleep if someone has a concussion. So long as I'm responsive and my pupils aren't dilated, I can sleep," Nina explained. Shrugging her shoulders, she smirked at him. "There was a time I spent some of my free time looking at medical encyclopedias," she teased in reference to the first time they had met.

OR He'll say he's just not the same and you'll begin to wonder why you came Nina couldn't hear the specifics of what Bellamy was discussing with the person behind the food table, but she assumed it was to make sure everything was running smoothly. Nina usually tried to think about where she could help out, but her mind had been so busy since coming back from Mount Weather. Everyone seemed to have taken care of things just fine while most of them had been gone and she was thankful for that. But she had a feeling that they would have to try hunting soon, now that they had all of the delinquents back and they were more mouths to feed. Not that they were a burden; Nina was more than thankful that they had everyone back. But even with rationing, at some point they would run out of food. "Everything good?" Nina asked. If it wasn't, she didn't really expect Bellamy to tell her about it. It all came down to his underlying need to protect everyone and while she sometimes found the notion sweet, it often annoyed her. Nina didn't like being shielded from the truth, even if it was only to spare her feelings. Whenever someone did something to protect someone else, it almost always came back around to slap them in the face. Hiding things never ended well. But in this instance, it was a small detail and Nina had already prepared herself to hear that everything was fine. Even so, she would make a note to double check with people in the kitchen to see how they were doing on meat.
Leaving the mess hall, Nina and Bellamy walked down the hall and towards her room. She carried her bowl in one hand and her other hand hung limply by her side. The silence between them would feel awkward to some, but not to Nina. She was used to silence with Bellamy and it had never really bothered her. She had never been one of those girls that felt the need to fill every single silence with unimportant words. She was perfectly content with silence. Nina approached the door to her room, unlocked it and stepped inside. Her bed was pressed against the wall and she sat on it, resting her back against the wall. Nina began to move her spoon around in her food, realizing that she still wasn't hungry. When was the last time she had eaten something? Had it been that long ago that she couldn't even remember? "I'm glad you're okay," Nina said, finally breaking the silence. "When I found out you went into Mount Weather alone, even though we're not together or even really friends I . . . I don't know. The idea of not even getting to see you again didn't sit well with me," Nina confessed, looking down at her food the whole time, as if she was having the conversation with the food and not Bellamy. |

She hadn't missed his hesitation as she held the knife out to help. At first it had confused her but then she realized that his hesitation came from a plausible place. He had been through alot and if she had been in his shoes she knew she wouldn't be trusting of anyone. It didn't matter that she had stopped two assholes from jumping him and possibly killing him. Trust was a weakness and she had a feeling that Murphy knew that all too well. His answer was short and to the point. Grounders. She supposed she should have known that he wouldn't want to discuss what he had been through. Judging from the way he looked, the torture had been anything but ametur. Nina had yet to personally encounter any Grounders but she knew they weren't to be messed with. They were strong and great at fighting and apparently great at torturing. She wondered what they could have possibly gained from Murphy by torturing him. It wasn't like they needed the location to their camp. It was easy to find and it wasn't like the Grounders didn't know the land. She wasn't sure what sort of information Murphy had in terms of the delinquents. Maybe they wanted to know what they had for weapons or how good their fighters were. But still, both of those things were obvious to any Grounders that had come into contact with the group at some point.
Nina snorted a laugh at his question. She, unlike most of the delinquents, was not afraid of Bellamy. She knew Clarke, Finn and Raven weren't afraid of him either, just to name a few. Nina knew most of the kids worshiped him and did whatever he asked without question. But Nina was not one of those people and she would not step aside because he simply asked. "If I have to," Nina answered. While both her and Bellamy had trained to be apart of the guard, Nina had gotten further with her training and had kept up with the physical aspect of it. While she knew Bellamy would still know how to fight and he was stronger than her, she knew that with the right moves she could get the drop on him just like she had with those two guys. Nina was quick and that had always been her saving grace when fighting someone larger and stronger than her.
Her eyes landed on his hands and she noted that most of his fingernails were gone, if not all of them. She furrowed her eyebrows as she gazed at them. They had been ripped out. She curled her fingernails into the palm of her hands at the thought of having your fingernails ripped from your skin. He was not in good shape and Nina disliked the idea of making him leave once he was capable of walking. She didn't really have any pull with Clarke but maybe she did with Bellamy. Her and Bellamy had been friends once upon a time. They had been in the same class for becoming guards and had been through some shit together. Perhaps she would be able to appeal to the Bellamy she used to be friends with. She would just have to say the right things to get to him. Nina rose from her seat and grabbed a water pouch. She walked over to Murphy and handed it to him but realized he would probably second guess the kind gesture. Sighing and rolling her eyes, Nina retracted the water bottle from his reach and took a sip of it herself before handing it back to him. "Not poisoned, I promise," she said before sitting back down.
