Nina "I'm gonna see if I can find Kane," she said, turning to Octavia who merely nodded at her sentence. Turning on her heel she went to look for Kane, knowing that he was actually easier to deal with than her own father. Luckily he was back at camp and she was here. Nina had not originally wanted to go to Tondc, insisting on helping Raven with whatever in order to make sure Bellamy had what he needed. To be honest, she had been pissed when Clarke had told her that she was sending Bellamy to Mount Weather to see if he could go undercover as one of the guards. She found it completely irresponsible on the blonde's part and had nearly bit her head off when she had told Nina that she couldn't afford to be weak. Apparently she thought that Bellamy's life was expendable and that's probably what bothered Nina the most. She couldn't stand the idea of losing Bellamy, especially since he was one of the only people down here that she could talk to. Sure, she had her father but they had been estranged since her mother had been floated. Bellamy was her real rock down on Earth which was a little surprising considering how the two had started off. Classmates at the Academy on their way to becoming Cadets. But now she couldn't imagine her life without the guy and she certainly didn't want to.
Whether or not she had developed feelings for Bellamy since she had gotten to Earth was an entirely different matter. Nina had quickly done everything back him up whenever he needed it, offering him her loyalty no matter what. She had honestly agreed with all of his decisions thus far, minus the Mount Weather idea, so she had no problem standing by his side. But those closest to Nina knew that her loyalty was worth a lot. It was probably the best thing she could give someone, aside from her trust. But she trusted Bellamy and she was loyal to him. That didn't mean that she had fought him tooth and nail about going into Mount Weather, telling him that he was an idiot and that he was going to get himself killed. It was after he left that she realized that she might have feelings for him. It was the idea of never seeing him again that scared her the most, and that's when the realization had hit her. But they were in the middle of a war and there was no time for silly feelings. Besides, she didn't want to ruin their friendship with something as mundane as a crush. She would continue to be by his side whenever he needed her, and that was it.
Nina looked around for a little bit but couldn't find Kane. Going into the woods for a moment of quiet, she walked further and further into it. The noises coming from Tondc were growing fainter and if she turned around she could barely see the light radiating from the flames of all the fires. Nina took one step before her body was thrown forward, landing in the dirt, hitting her head in the process. Her vision was blurry but she could see that Tondc was up in flames at the moment. She went to try to get up to see if she could help them, but she lost consciousness before she could get her body off the ground.
Her eyes fluttered open and she looked around. She had no idea where she was but her vision was having a hard time correcting itself. Nina scooted herself back so she was sitting against a tree. She ran a hand over her face and when she pulled her hand away it had some blood on it. Great. Her head had probably cracked open when she smacked it on something, most likely a rock. After taking a few moments to breathe and gather her bearings, she moved herself up the tree, using it as leverage to bring her body up off of the ground. Once she was standing she felt a little dizzy but started walking. She saw no point in returning to Tondc. Everyone was probably dead. She had to go back to Camp Jaha and tell everyone what had happened. She felt herself gasp as she realized who had been in Tondc that she had cared about. Octavia. Lincoln. Kane. Abby. Clarke. She was probably the most upset about Octavia, not knowing how she would tell Bellamy. Nina didn't want to see his face when he found out that his sister had been killed by what had seemed like a bomb. Nina let a few tears slide down her cheeks before she quickly wiped them away. She didn't have time to cry.
Several days had passed and Nina was almost certain she was lost. She had been trying to find Camp Jaha but had been having no luck. She spent her nights trying to find shelter. She had even found a car that was buried in the ground, and she had stayed in that for the night. Nina had a feeling that she was currently sporting a concussion but she couldn't afford to not sleep. She had to sleep because her energy was already low, given her lack of food and the damage that her body had sustained. It was maybe the third or fourth day that she had started to recognize general landmarks around her and she realized that she was getting closer to Camp. Of course, it would be much simpler if some of the guards were to find her while out on a perimeter check, but she knew she would not get that lucky. Making her way through the forest, Nina felt herself getting tired but she had to keep going. If she didn't get back to camp then so many things could go wrong. Her father could go on a tirade or do something rash in the wake of his daughter's death. But her biggest concern was being there for Bellamy after Octavia's death.
Nina cleared the woods and swore under her breath, seeing the camp in the distance. Night had begun to fall but she would make it there before it got pitch black. She began walking towards the camp, pressing a hand up against the wound on her head, hoping that the cut had taken care of itself and was not infect. She began to think that Abby could look at it later, but then realized that Abby was gone. So was Clarke. Two of the biggest healers that the camp had were gone. At least they still had Jackson, but she could only imagine how busy he was. Shouts tore her from her thoughts and she looked up to see flashlights shining in her face. When had it gotten dark enough to need flashlights? She heard warnings from the guards and it was likely she had several guns pointed at her. It wasn't until she heard someone say her name that everyone lowered their weapons. Someone rushed forward and grabbed her in a hug. "We thought you were dead!" The person cried. It took her a moment but she realized that it had been her friend, David. The kid had been like a brother to her and she had helped him out with training. He had been in the Academy right after Nina had graduated, so everything was still fresh in her mind. "Takes more than a silly bomb to kill me," she said with a chuckle. She felt David wrap an arm around her waist, helping her finish the distance between their current location and the gate. "Quick, run ahead and tell Abby to get ready. I think something is wrong with her," David said. Nina opened her mouth to protest, to tell them that Abby was dead, but David beat her to the punch. "Abby survived, she's back at camp. Nina, everyone is back at camp. They got all the kids out of Mount Weather." She smiled and hummed in response. She was glad that everyone was safe. What she needed to know was if Bellamy was safe.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Nights were always the worst. Everytime he closed his eyes he saw them. The faces of the people he had killed. Innocent men, women . . . children. Everyone that had trusted him, that had helped him. Dead. He was bathing in the blood of over 600 people and they haunted him. Even when he was awake. So when the sun went down, and the camp was calm . . . Bellamy found other ways to distract himself. Right now, he was helping keep guard at the gates. Kane had offered him a position in the guard, and of course Bellamy had accepted. His priority was and always would be his people, especially the remaining ones from the original 100. "We need Doctor Griffin!" Someone shouted out and Bellamy's attention was immediately drawn to the situation.
He hurried toward the frantic guardsman, explaining that one of their own was found in the woods. Curiosity peaked in Bellamy, as he hurried toward the gates. It couldn't be anyone from Mount Weather. And no one had left the camp to his knowledge. He could see a figure coming in from the distance, and Bellamy almost immediately recognized her. "Nina?" He both questioned and acknowledge. He rushed to her, moving to her other side as his eyes looked over her face. A head injury and who knew what other wounds she had.
"Hey, can you hear me? It's Bellamy." He asked and then stated, one hand going to her cheek, turning her head to look at him so that he could see her pupils and see how responsive she was. She looked like she had been through hell, but all he could think of right now . . . was that she was alive. And from the looks of it, barley able to stand. The other Arker had been offering support, but Bellamy decided to alleviate her of that needed strength. He scooped her up in his arms, carrying her toward the Ark, and straight into medical where Abby was already on her way out.
The doctor instructed him where to put Nina and Bellamy moved her to the bed, laying her gently on it and taking a small step back as Abby checked her over. Like hell he was going anywhere else. Where had she come from even? But there was one main likely scenario. One likely place that she was from. Tondc. And the thought of it, made Bellamy heart ache. With anger. With pain. With the intense resentment he'd already felt toward Clarke.
She had let a bomb fall on the others and now, right here . . . was someone else he had mourned. Was someone he thought was dead, and wasn't. It gave him hope, but it also made that anger burn within him. Bellamy was not someone willing to sacrifice his people. Not for any reason at all. "She gonna be ok?" He asked, keeping his demeanour stoic, but of course there was an expression of concern. He couldn't lose another one of his people. He couldn't bury another friend.

She felt someone join her other side and she assumed it was just another guard, maybe even someone she knew. But then she heard his voice and she practically sighed in relief. This was the exact person that she needed at the moment. Not one of her friends, certainly not her father, but Bellamy. But then she started to remember that she was supposed to tell him about Octavia. But if Abby had survived that meant it was possible that Octavia was still alive, right? She desperately wished this to be the case, not knowing if she had it in her to break the heart of one of the people she cared about the most. Torn from her thoughts, she felt her face being moved to look at him. It was dark and her vision was growing blurry. She closed her eyes to keep herself from getting too dizzy, and she felt herself being scooped up into Bellamy's arms. Wrapping one of her arms around his neck, she rested her head on his shoulder, taking the time to enjoy the comfort of feeling safe after days of being so vulnerable, especially with her injury.
A moment later she was being set down and she knew that she was in medical. She attempted to open her eyes but it felt like they were glued shut, so she stopped trying and just let the doctors do their thing. Nina had never been a fan of doctors but she knew they were good at their jobs and for that, she was thankful. She felt someone touching her head and she soon hissed in pain when Abby pressed a wet cloth to her head, likely covered in alcohol in order to clean the wound. Eyes still closed, one of her hands reached up to swat Abby's hand away but she quickly grabbed her wrist and put it back down. "Come on, Nina. I need to clean this," Abby said. She yelped in pain when someone pressed onto her ribs and she heard Abby sigh. "Possibly a few broken ribs. Definitely a concussion. No infection in the wound yet, but we should keep an eye on it." Nina wasn't sure if Abby expected a response from her, but she certainly wasn't getting one. "Definitely dehydrated." Nina could attest to that. She had found a little water during her journey but she had been parched other than that. She was excited to finally get some cool water down her throat. "Get me some water," Abby said to one of her medical assistants, who quickly ran off in search of what the doctor ordered.
He turned a moment later and Abby pressed the bowl to Nina's lips, which she gladly opened in order to devour the water that was being poured down her throat. "Sit her up," Abby said, moving to help Nina sit up while her assistant moved the girl from the other side. "Bellamy, can you hold her up?" Abby asked, motioning for him to take the place of her assistant behind Nina. Grabbing a flashlight, Abby asked Nina to open her eyes which she did, but quickly shut them when a flashlight was shined in her eyes. "What the hell," she grumbled. "I need to see your pupils," Abby said. Sighing, she opened her eyes and fought the urge to quickly shut them. "Definitely a concussion. I don't want you going to sleep for more than an hour at a time, understand?" Abby asked. Nina squinted at the doctor. "But I've been sleeping like a normal person for three days," she explained. Abby shook her head. "Doesn't matter." The doctor looked at the boy. "Do you think you can bring her to her tent and stay with her until I find someone else to? I can send Jackson to find her father," Abby explained.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy watched Abby get to work, listing off her injuries and the condition she was in. It didn't sound like anything life threatening, and for that, Bellamy was relieved. They'd lost a lot of people in that bomb blast, mainly Grounders, but it still wasn't right. The knowledge should have meant that they found a way to stop it; to evacuate Tondc. Not just sacrifice the people's lives. But Bellamy couldn't change that now. At least there was one survivor, and what small instances of good they could find, they had to hold to them.
He gave a short not when Abby asked if he could hold her up. He moved to stand behind her, his hands gently propping her up, keeping a hold of her upper arms to brace her. "We have extra roomse," he began to tell Abby. Benefits of being on the guard and having helped everyone get situated: Bellamy knew where there were extra rooms and where most people were located.
"I'll take her to one of them. She'll be more comfortable." She could lay down and rest, but without sleeping of course. Bellamy knew that the relationship she had with her father was strained, but he wasn't going to get into that right now. Bellamy was fairly certain that he too would be relieved to see her alive. What parent wouldn't be. "You sure you don't want to keep her here a little long? Maybe give her an IV if she's dehydrated?" Bellamy didn't want to move her unless the doctor absolutely cleared it. He wasn't about to risk making the situation worse.

Nina listened to everyone speak around her, but she didn't chime in on the conversation. She was tired and wanted to sleep. She was glad that she had finally reached camp and she just wanted to see if everyone else was okay. She knew that resting wasn't going to happen, especially if she couldn't sleep. She heard Bellamy ask the doctor about putting her on an IV but it was her assistant that spoke up, telling him that they didn't have any left after the bomb at Tondc. They were currently trying to figure out an alternative solution to the problem, especially since they knew it wouldn't be the last time they would need an IV. "I'm fine," she assured everyone. "I'll just drink water from a cup." She looked back and nodded her head at Bellamy, telling him that she would be fine.
Abby and her assistant left and Nina swirled around on the table so she was sitting up but facing Bellamy. "Is Octavia...okay?" She asked. Her tone was soft just in case his sister wasn't okay and she was bringing up something he didn't want to talk about. She had adored Octavia from the moment she met the girl. She admired her bravery and her fierce demeanor. For a girl who had been stored beneath a floorboard her entire life, she was certainly a well-balanced person. But if Abby had survived then it was entirely possible for Octavia to have survived as well. Octavia was a survivor, that much she knew.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy gave another nod to Abby as she left and then looked to Nina who was suddenly sitting up. "You should lay down," he suggested, though knew he couldn't force anyone to do anything. All he could do was be here for support. He lived for his people. He put his own feelings aside for his people. He couldn't afford to do anything else. She then asked if Octavia was ok and his jaw slightly clenched at the mention.
Mostly, because he had trusted Clarke and the others -- mainly Clarke -- with his sister and then found out that she had let a bomb drop on her. She had lied about Octavia's whereabouts and then let a bomb drop where she was. Bellamy couldn't be quick to forgive that; to sacrifice his sister when he was doing all he could to protect them all.
But as always, his expression didn't give anything away to his inner thoughts. A lifetime on the Ark of lies and having to remain calm to protect an illegal sibling, allowed him to keep a straight, guarded face. "She's fine," he stated. "She's here. A lot of our people are." But they had still lost so many. Each life lost, Bellamy felt responsible for. "The fight against Mount Weather is over." Another assurance, that the Mountain Men were no longer a thread. Because they had killed them all. But he wasn't going to get into that right now. "Don't worry about any of that though. You should be resting." Just not sleeping.

She ignored his suggestion to lay down, too focused on finding out if Octavia was okay or not. This was the most important thing to her at the moment. Not her health or her well-being, but knowing whether or not her friend had survived the bomb. The bomb that one of her own people had let drop on the city. She still couldn't believe it and she knew she would be sharing more than a few words with Clarke about it. She had to know that she couldn't just do things like that without consequences. So many people had died but Clarke was getting away with it. Only a few people knew about her allowing the bomb to drop and Nina knew things would go South if everyone found out about it. But she couldn't just keep her mouth shut, it wasn't in her personality. Clarke had to know that things could not just be swept under the rug. Nina felt herself growing angry as she thought about it, but tried to dismiss the thoughts from her mind and return her attention to the man standing in front of her.
Relief flooded through her when she heard him say that Octavia was okay. She visibly relaxed at his words and nodded her head, happy to finally know an answer. She knew that they had probably still lost some of their own people, but Octavia was probably the one she cared about the most when it came to those that had been at Tondc. She furrowed her brows as she read the expression on his face. She could see from his clenched jaw that he was angry, but there was something else in his eyes that she was catching glimpses of. Was he blaming himself for the bomb? Nina knew her friend and she knew that it was something he would do. Sighing, she shook her head. "Bell, it's not your fault," she reassured him. "If anyone is to be blamed it's Clarke. She could have done something to save everyone in that village. But she didn't," Nina pointed out. She was glad to hear that the battle with Mount Weather was over, but she didn't even want to know what Clarke had done to secure that victory. She was sure it was something she didn't approve of. But she knew someone had to make the tough decisions and that she probably shouldn't be as angry at Clarke as she would.
She waved her hand in the air, dismissing his words. "I'm fine," she said. Nina pushed him back so she could hop down from the bed she had been lying on. She wavered a little bit and reached out, placing a hand on Bellamy's shoulder as she gathered her bearings. Knowing that the walk would be a little more difficult, Nina looped her arm through his and nodded towards the entrance. "You can, however, escort me." She did not need to be carried, even though she hadn't minded when she had first arrived back at camp.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT She told him it wasn't his fault . . . but he knew a part of it was. He had been in Mount Weather, and had even asked Raven whether Clarke had evacuated Tondc yet. Perhaps, his mistake was entrusting Clarke to do it. He had held faith in her, knowing that his sister was under her care. That so many of their people were under her care. And she had left them. She left them then, just as she left them now. To deal with the aftermath.
It filled his heart with pain and resentment and . . . he didn't want to express that now. It was his burden to bare. Not anyone else's. "What's done is done," he said in a low voice. "I'm glad to see you're ok." Because that was all they could focus on right now. The ones who were alive. Move forward, with those who survived the horrors of Earth thus far. Bellamy watched her as she dismissed her condition, rising to her feet and looping her arm through his, saying that she was fine and that he could escort her.
He looked at her, a slightly raised eyebrow, making no move to leave. "There's no way I'm getting you out of here unless you've been cleared by a doctor." She had just returned. He wasn't going to compromise her health by waltzing her out of here. "So you may as well lay back down," he encouraged. "I can stay with you for a bit." Unsure if that offered any assurance to her but well, he didn't want her to be alone.

Despite her words, he didn't really take them to heart. She could see it in his eyes. He still blamed himself for everything. Nina hadn't been at Mount Weather so she wasn't really sure what had happened. She supposed she would hear it from someone else, since she would not ask Bellamy to relive it all only to entertain her curiosity. But a few details had reached her, such as Clarke leaving and Bellamy and Clarke pulling the lever that allowed the radiation to kill all of those in Mount Weather. But it was kill or be killed and even their training on the Ark had taught them that. He expressed that he was glad she was okay and Nina knew that tone. It was a tone that told her they were done discussing it. She pursed her lips and kept quiet. For now. She cared about Bellamy and would not let him blame himself. She would not allow the guilt to eat away at him. She would beat it into him if she had to. She would annoy him to death with her words if that's what it took.
Nina appeared to be striking out with Bellamy. First he wouldn't accept her words and now he wasn't letting her leave the medical bay. This was not what Nina had expected. In a way, she had expected for him to simply comply with her request but now that she thought about it, it was a silly thing to assume. Nina frowned at him and would have released her hold on him if she was one hundred percent positive she could stand without wobbling a little. She had a feeling that wobbling while trying to convince him she was fine would not work out in her favor. The only thing she was pleased about was his offer to stay with her. After spending so much time alone in the woods, she didn't want to be alone. But Nina didn't really have anyone down here. Her father had died on the way down, not that she would have gone to him had he survived, and most of her friends outside of the guard hadn't made it either. Bellamy was really the closest thing she had to a friend at the moment. Frowning, Nina looked up at him. "Come on," she whined. "I don't want to stay here." She knew that whining would certainly not help her get her way, but she couldn't help it. "You know, contrary to popular belief, it is okay to sleep if someone has a concussion. So long as I'm responsive and my pupils aren't dilated, I can sleep," Nina explained. Shrugging her shoulders, she smirked at him. "There was a time I spent some of my free time looking at medical encyclopedias," she teased in reference to the first time they had met.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy continued to look at her, unconvinced as she tried to reason with him as to why she should leave medical. Bellamy wasn't about to be reckless with any of the Arkers. If he let her out of here and something happened to her . . . something then could have been easily prevented, well, he would blame himself for letting her leave without medical clearance.
"It didn't make you an expert then, and it doesn't make you an expert now," he told her, returning the tease that she had initiated, when it came to their first meeting. He hardly forgot it. The accusation he had thrust upon her regarding why she was so involved in his business. How far they had come. "You might be able to sleep, but you need to be monitored." And if she was in her own room for the night . . . that would make it difficult. "Just one night," he urged. "As a precaution," he added on, wanting to make sure she was alright. And wanted it to be those who knew this sort of thing to decide whether she was ok to leave or not.

Nina placed her hand over her heart in mock hurt. "Rude," she said before dropping her hand from her chest. She frowned and looked at him. "I'm not staying here overnight," she said. She had been sleeping on the ground for who knew how long. She would never be able to sleep in the medical bay. The lights were too bright and there were too many people around. Even if the lights were dimmed, everyone would be too loud for her to get any sleep. There was only so much Bellamy could do to keep her there and she wasn't someone to just roll over and take orders. She had always given Bellamy a hard time and she saw no point in giving that up now.
"I can't," she said. "I'm going back to my room. If it makes you feel better, you can come with me but that's all I'm going to say." Nina glanced around the room and saw that most of the doctors were busy with other patients. Some of them looked pretty bad, but others Nina had a hard time figuring out what was wrong with them. She unhooked her arm from Bellamy's and after taking a moment to make sure she was balanced, she walked out of the medical bay. What was he going to do? Throw her over his shoulder and drag her back. Oh, shit. Yeah. She could actually see him do that. At that thought, Nina picked up the pace a little.
