She felt like a sap and she knew she would berate herself for saying these things to him tomorrow. Nina blamed it on her exhaustion and knew that she would be fine tomorrow. At least, that's what she hoped for. She could never pinpoint her emotions when she was around Bellamy and she hated that. She had easily been able to have a physical relationship with another guy on the Ark after Bellamy had pushed her away and had been able to keep emotions out of it. Perhaps it was because her emotions were still tied up with another guy, but she had been capable of it all the same. Maybe she would have to find another distraction while they were down here, but most of these kids were under eighteen and Nina had a hard time getting past that. But she would figure it out; she always did.
His words about being whoever she wanted to be down here didn't really register with her. She didn't care about being someone she wanted to be. She was fine with herself, minus the annoying emotions regarding Bellamy. She was strong and stubborn and good at making decisions. Nina thought she was strategic when needed and knew that having someone else down here with guard experience could only help them. But maybe she needed to make herself feel numb around everyone. If she involved feelings then things would get messy. She couldn't afford to care about anyone down here. Her feelings for Bellamy were already screwing with her head and she had only been on Earth for a few hours.
Nina looked up at him when he told her he couldn't give her that. She wanted to know what he was assuming, but she had a feeling she already knew. She hadn't said the words out loud but Bellamy knew her well enough to know what she was thinking; and she hated it. He wasn't allowed to push her away and then do those types of things. She didn't know if she wanted to smack him or rip his shirt off. She scoffed and shook her head when he spoke his last sentence. "You don't know what's good for me," she said. "And you don't have a say in that anymore." Not since he had dumped her.

Nina pursed her lips as Clarke mentioned the bomb that she had let drop on the village. She knew because she had been there. She would have been a victim had it not been for her bladder. But Nina didn't like to think about that. It only made her feel bad and she didn't want to feel bad. Hell, she already felt bad and she didn't need any help with it. Nina wasn't forgiving Clarke for the bomb, but rather what she had done in that mountain. Nina knew she would always hold a little resentment against the blonde for letting that bomb drop and not doing anything to save anyone but herself and Lexa. Protecting Bellamy was an excuse, but Nina wondered if she had thought about how letting Octavia die would have destroyed Bellamy. In a way, that would have killed him as well. Even the mention of the Grounders made Nina shake her head. She had never been a fan of the alliance but had kept her thoughts to herself. She saw no good coming out of an alliance that called for the death of one of their own. She had been right in the end but would never say 'I told you so' to someone like Clarke, especially not now.
"If you didn't let that radiation in everyone would have died. Myself included," she said. Nina had been chained up like the rest of them, waiting to be drilled until there was nothing left. "You tried to reason with Cage. I know you did. Look, Clarke, I know we aren't exactly the best of friends but I know you wouldn't just kill all those people without trying. That has to count for something." There were people in the world that would have just pulled the lever, showing no remorse for their actions. There was no way Clarke would just forget about what she had done because Nina knew that the girl had a heart and a conscious. It had not been an easy decision, but decisions usually weren't easy.
She hadn't heard about Clarke shooting Lincoln, so there wasn't much to say when it came to that. "Well why did you shoot him?" She asked. Nina figured it was best to hear the story from Clarke rather than rumors. As far as she knew, Clarke didn't have an issue with Lincoln and Nina knew that Lincoln was far more loyal to them than the Grounders. She knew it was only because of Octavia but she also got the sense that Lincoln did those things because he felt it was wrong. Nina had very little interaction with the Grounder but some people just gave off a vibe that made you realize they were a good person.

She wasn't sure if she believed him when he said he didn't hate her. If he didn't hate her, then why had he pushed her away? Why had he ignored her like they had never shared anything together? Nina had spent almost a year telling herself that she wasn't in love with Bellamy Blake anymore, but seeing him again she couldn't tell herself that anymore. Of course she was still in love with him and being stuck down here with him wasn't going to help her by any means. Even if he continued to be an ass, she couldn't hate him. She had tried literally everything to stop caring about him, but a year later and she still couldn't hate him. She shrugged her shoulders, not really believing his words but not sure what else to say. It's quite possible that he was just saying that to make his life easier on the ground now that she was here.
"I know," she said softly. She knew he wasn't the same because she knew that she wasn't the same either. Everything had changed and in turn, it had changed her. She didn't trust anyone anymore and she didn't let anyone in. She had done that once and it had come back to bite her in the ass and break her heart. But she didn't want her entire life to revolve around a guy and how he had broken her heart. She was stronger than that and she knew it. "I don't know who I am anymore either," she confessed.
Nina walked over to the wall in the dropship and leaned against it, sliding down until she sat with her back against it. She stretched her legs out in front of her, not realizing until now how tired she had actually been. The trip had been exhausting and dealing with Bellamy had only made her mentally and emotionally tired. It was tough to deal with someone you still cared about when you knew they didn't feel the same way. Nina was being such a girl and she hated it. She hated questioning everything she said around him. She hated how unsure she felt about everything. She just wanted to be normal. She wanted to feel normal.
A sigh escaped her lips. "It doesn't really matter what I want, does it?" She asked. It was more of a question to herself but knew that Bellamy could hear her words perfectly. To be blunt, she still wanted him. She missed their silly conversations and the times where she had actually gotten him to cuddle (because he was the greatest cuddler). But she knew she would have to ignore all of that and just find something to focus on down here. Anything. She would take literally anything else to focus on to get her mind off of things she shouldn't be thinking about.

She scoffed and shook her head. Why wasn't she surprised? Of course they dropped them on the wrong mountain. It wasn't like this could start off on the right foot. Something had to go wrong, other than those two boys dying during their landing. Nina felt bad about that, but she had also heard that they had been warned to get back in their seats and buckle up. Carelessness would certainly get them killed, and it appeared that it already had. But Mount Weather looked like it was far and while Nina had never done the whole hiking thing, she already knew she wasn't going to be a fan of it. She was fine with any type of physical activity, but the whole uphill thing did not appeal to her. She hoped that everyone would be willing to go find the mountain but she knew it would be a difficult task to complete. People wouldn't want to be given orders right off the bat. But she also knew that they couldn't just stand around without any supplies. They didn't even have any water and while she knew some of these kids weren't the brightest, she hoped they understood the consequences of not having any water.
The tone of his greeting made her chuckle and she looked over at the boy standing next to her. He was tall but sort of lanky with black hair and goggles resting on his forehead. Nina put him around sixteen or seventeen years of age (considering he couldn't exactly be eighteen given that he would have been floated by now) but she thought he was cute nevertheless. Nina reached forward, grabbing his hand and shaking it before letting it drop. "Hello Jasper. I'm Nina," she introduced herself. She grinned at the boy and nodded her head in the direction of the map. "You plan on coming to find the mountain?" She asked. It was a tough call to make, but Nina sort of wanted to go. She wanted to explore and see everything she could. But she also knew that people couldn't very well be left alone out here. It was going to be difficult, but she would figure it out as the time came. She wasn't normally a 'fly by the seat of her pants' type of girl, but she figured she would have to change while on Earth anyway, might as well start somewhere.

Things were about to change. Not only for Nina, but for everyone else on the Ark as well. The idea of sending all one hundred of the delinquents down to Earth to see if it was inhabitable was exciting. It was also scary but she attempted to focus on the exciting aspect of the adventure she was about to have. Concern was not something she had when it came to going down to Earth. She knew she should, given that she could die from immediate radiation poisoning. But in a sense, she found that to be a better death than suffocating on the Ark. Nina had never been privy to that sort of information, but little things had continued to add up. Something was wrong and that was why they were choosing now to send the prisoners to the ground. Not only would it free up oxygen, but it would test to see if the Earth was survivable. They were killing two birds with one stone and no one really cared. Nina knew that the kids in the Sky Box were considered expendable. No one had received immunity from Jaha upon their eighteenth birthday for as long as she could remember. She was sure it happened but no one really spoke about it.
Nina had volunteered to go down to Earth with the delinquents. There had been no thinking about it. She had not weighed the pros and cons. She had simply gone to her Commanding Officer and told him that she wanted to go. She knew she had to convince him. Why would he send a member of the Guard down to Earth only to die? No one was saying it but no one really thought the Earth was survivable yet. These kids were being sent there to die. Nina was able to convince him, claiming that if it was survivable then they would need someone older and someone with authority. They would need to be able to create a society before the rest of the people from the Ark came down. Otherwise, they would all die from all of the chaos that they would create. So that was how Nina managed to get a spot on that drop ship with the rest of the others. Nina hadn't even bothered telling her father, knowing full well that he probably wouldn't even care. If he had done nothing to save his wife, then he sure as hell would do nothing to save his daughter.
The chatter on the dropship was distracting. Everyone was wondering what was going on, but Nina knew. Some people were able to figure out what was going on by using the clues around them, but there were still some kids who weren't smart enough to figure it out for themselves. The message from the Chancellor played and everyone gave their own commentary while Jaha spoke. Nina paid no attention to the video because she didn't care, but already knew what it would say. It seemed that the council was trying to give the delinquents a purpose, trying to drill something into their minds before they were unleashed on the world. But Nina knew better. She knew that more than half of these kids didn't give two shits what happened to the remaining people on the Ark, and Nina was almost able to consider herself one of them. Sure, she had been in the guard but she knew the system was messed up. She knew that people being killed for stealing food for their children was wrong. She just hoped she didn't have to deal with anything like that on Earth.
They crashed and landed. It wasn't until the machine hum stopped that people began to unbuckle their seatbelts. Nina followed suit and went down the ladder with the rest of the kids that had been on the same level as her. When she got down the large door was already open and kids were sprinting outside, enjoying the fresh air and freedom. Nina took a small moment to close her eyes and tilt her head back, allowing the sun to shine on her skin for the first time ever. Once her little moment was over, she walked over to a group of kids that were huddling around something. She wondered what it was but realized it was a map when she got closer. Why would they need a map? No one had really told her anything other than to make sure someone contacted the Ark once they landed. But she wasn't really thinking about that. She was thinking about what they were going to do now.
Walking up next to a boy with goggles on his head, Nina glanced over at him before returning her gaze to the map. "What's going on?" She asked. She tried to listen in on their conversation but wasn't having much luck, given their hushed voices. Nina was growing a little impatient already. Staying still was not one of her strong suits, even though it had been something she was forced to control during her training at the Academy. But now she had no one to chastise her so she was going to be as impatient and antsy as she wanted.

Her wrists were red and irritated, compliments of the chains that had circled both of her wrists. The Mount Weather guards had taken all of them by surprise and the next thing they knew, they were inside of Mount Weather, chained to the wall. Nina hadn't been the only one taken. She had seen Kane and Abby as well, along with Raven and Wick. There had been others too but too much had been going on for her to really pay attention. She could still hear the screams of those who had been drilled for bone marrow. Nina had never experienced such a thing, but it looked incredibly painful and now she knew that it truly was. She was lucky that she had been left alone during her brief stay at Mount Weather. She hadn't been drilled, just pushed around a bit by some of the guards. It had been difficult for her not to fight back, but she knew that fighting would only put her in a worse position. Nina was smart enough to know how these sorts of things worked. But Nina didn't know if they would be able to escape. There had been guards everywhere and they all had guns. Nina had been disarmed at some point after she had passed out from some sort of gas the guards had used.
But then the guards had begun to drop to the ground, sans Cage Wallace who had looked utterly shocked. The deteriorating flesh on the guards told Nina that radiation was leaking into the mountain. She knew the people couldn't survive it and she wondered how it had all happened. Of course, she knew it probably had something to do with Bellamy since he was their inside man. But she could never truly be sure. But still, it didn't take long for others to arrive, helping everyone get out of their chains. There had been reunions between parents and children, friends and even significant others. Nina had been one that she no one to reunite with, seeing as her father was back at Camp Jaha. Even if he had been here, she was certain there would have been no reunion embrace.
Things had not gotten better between the daughter and father after the Ark had landed on Earth. Nina hadn't really been expecting them to, but it would have been a nice change of pace. He was as bossy as ever, taking whatever control he could get and using it to his advantage. Her father was a power hungry jackass and she knew it was only a matter of time until he got someone else killed. Nina ultimately blamed her father for her mother being floated. He had done nothing to save his wife, he hadn't even asked them to spare her. He had stood by like the good little soldier that he was, watching his wife get sucked into oblivion. Her father had been floated for the crime of stealing rations from the kitchen. She claimed it was for the kids that she taught at school, saying that they didn't get enough to eat. But Nina knew the truth. The truth was, it was all her fault. She had been the one to steal the food and her mother had taken the blame for it. Nina had stolen the food for Bellamy, not that he had asked her to, but she had done it a few times before and had gotten away with it. This time had been no different than the others except for the guards coming to check their apartment. They said it was routine, but Nina couldn't remember the last time their apartment had been checked.
She remembered what it felt like, to feel her stomach drop to her feet when a guard pulled the food out of a hiding spot. She felt nauseous knowing that she was going to be floated. Of course, the guards always tried to take others down and she knew they would ask her who she stole the food for. But Nina would never give Bellamy up. It wasn't his fault. He hadn't asked her to steal. In fact, she was fairly certain he had asked her not to. But Nina was stubborn and just wanted to help her friend. But her actions had gotten her mother killed and she carried that guilt with her wherever she went.
Nina walked out of Mount Weather along with those that she had been captured with and the rest of the delinquents that had been held captive by Mount Weather. Everyone was safe, at least for the time being. Nina heard someone mention that the Grounders had screwed them over, betraying their alliance at the last minute. Nina knew that if she had the energy, she would be furious. But she was exhausted and she just wanted to rest. She wanted to sleep for two days and not be bothered. Then she would be ready to do what it took to secure the camp and make sure her people were safe. As a member of the guard, that was her job and just because they were on Earth didn't mean she would abandon her post.
Spotting a semi-familiar blonde, Nina jogged to catch up with Clarke. She heard that her and Bellamy had been the ones to pull the lever, allowing any and all radiation to seep into the mountain. Children and women, innocent people, they had all been killed. She could only imagine how Clarke was feeling and she felt the need to talk to her. Nina rubbed her wrists, falling into step with Clarke. "You did the right thing," Nina said. Not that her opinion was worth much, but she knew that reassurance could play a large role in how someone viewed a situation. "If there had been a way to save everyone, I know you would have taken it." Nina didn't really know Clarke but she seemed like the type of person to want everyone to be okay. It was just an assumption, but it was a safe one and that's why Nina felt okay with saying it aloud.
She was actually still a little mad at Clarke for allowing the bomb to drop on Tondc. She knew people were trying to be quiet, but Nina was a great eavesdropper. So many people had died in that village, and Nina had almost been one of them. She had been in that village along with everyone else, but had gone off into the woods to go pee. Such a mundane thing had saved her life, and she had never been more thankful for a small bladder. But death had been successful in that village. She wasn't sure how many they had lost, but she knew someone had an estimate.

She snorted and nodded her head. He had a point there. The privileged always thought they were something different. She had seen it many times and she always found it to be annoying. But she also knew that she was different from the other people in her economic class. She didn't think she was better than other people. She didn't pick to be privileged but she also didn't take it for granted like most kids. She knew she had it good, especially with her gather being in the guard. "I'm privileged. I get it." Nina held up her hands in defense. "But I know this system is fucked up. I know it's not right that some people get more than others." She shrugged her shoulders, not sure what else she could really say to convince him. But that was the thing; she wasn't going to convince him. She was just going to keep annoying him until he caved, just wanting her to go away. Nina could be very persistent.
Nina shook her head. She wasn't going to give it to the kids because she had stolen it for him. She wished he wasn't such a stubborn ass. She wished he would just accept the food and go on with his day. She scoffed and rolled her eyes when he said he didn't need their charity. "It's not my family, Blake. Trust me, my dad would sooner float someone than give them charity." Her mother would just do something because she was a kind person and that was how she functioned. God, were they lucky her father wasn't in charge of their class at the Academy. Everyone would have been royally screwed.
"Seriously?" She asked. "What is it going to take for you to take this food?" She asked. Throwing her hands in the air in defeat. "I mean, do you even know the side effects of that medicine you took? Do you know that without proper calories the medicine could potentially fail?" She crossed her arms over her chest and shot a pointed look at Bellamy.

What did she want him to say? There were many things that she wanted him to say. She wanted him to apologize for pushing her away. She wanted him to tell her that he still cared about her. She wanted him to say that he still cared about her. But those things would never leave his mouth and she knew it. It was his tone that made her truly believe that she would never hear Bellamy Blake say what she wanted him to. He didn't care and he wasn't even trying to hide it. Maybe he was right. Maybe she shouldn't have come down here. But to be fair, she hadn't been thinking about seeing Bellamy again. It had been an afterthought, but her original thought had been surviving. If she had stayed, she would have been floated for helping Raven do something illegal. Of course, by the time she realized Bellamy was down here it had been too late. Her and Raven had landed and there was nothing she could do about it. But she guessed the emotions she was putting herself through at the current moment were her fault. She could have kept her mouth shut, trying to go about her day without letting him affect her. But he always affected her, whether she liked it or not.
Nina shrugged her shoulders, not wanting her voice to crack if she answered him. He began to rant and she looked up at him, her eyes showing the disbelief at his tirade. He seemed mad and while she knew he would feel whatever he felt, she still didn't see how he could show such anger towards her. She hadn't done anything to him except ask why he was being a dick to her. Sure, it could have set him off but the anger was still too confusing to her. She felt her mouth open slightly when he told her that she never should have gotten involved with him. It that wasn't a slap in the face, she didn't know what was. It was too much to say that this was him pushing her away again. He had already pushed her away but it felt like he had just pushed her off a cliff.
"That's the thing, I don't blame you!" She shouted at him. "It would be so much easier if I could, but I can't." She ran a hand through her brown locks, glancing towards the entrance to the ship to see if anyone was coming inside. She suppose they weren't exactly being quiet and people could probably hear them, but she was beyond caring at this point. "I could never hate you, Bell." She shrugged her shoulders, a crestfallen look upon her face. "Trust me, I've tried. You can hate me all you want but there's nothing you can do to make me hate you." It was true that she had tried. She had tried getting her friends to point out everything bad about him, but that hadn't worked. She tried having her friends defend him so she would get angry, but that hadn't worked. Nina had tried everything, even going as far as to trying to hook up with someone else. It had worked for a day but then the side effects had quickly disappeared.

There had been no hesitation. No second thoughts. Just action. The idea of going down to Earth excited Nina. It didn't terrify her like it seemed to for several of her fellow Cadets. She knew the risk with going down to Earth, but it was one she had to take. No. It was one that she wanted to take. It wasn't just about getting away from her father, which was an added bonus. It was about getting away from everyone on the Ark. She had friends that she would miss, but it wasn't like she was leaving anyone she truly cared about. Well, that wasn't entirely true if Nina had to be honest with herself. She had been harboring feelings for one of her best friends, Bellamy Blake, since they had entered the Academy together. But Nina had never revealed those feelings, not wanting to ruin her friendship with him. His friendship was one of the most important things in her life, especially after her mother had been floated for stealing food for the kids in her class. Nina had been horrified when her father hadn't stopped, or even attempted to stop, her mother's execution. She didn't care that her mother had broken the law, she just didn't want her to die. But her father had done nothing and her mother had been floated like hundreds of people before her. So in the end, it appeared that Bellamy was one of the few people left that she cared about.
Her father had been indifferent to her decision. He showed neither support nor grief about her decision to venture upon this suicide mission. But she hadn't been surprised and that had saved her some hurt feelings in the end. Nina and her father had a strained relationship since her mother's execution, even so much to the point where Nina moved out and into her own apartment when she turned eighteen. The two years between her mother's death and her ability to move out had been horrible, but some things had made it bearable in the end. While Nina didn't hang out with a large group of friends, she had those that she kept close to her. Aside from Bellamy she had two other best friends, both were female and both were incredibly special to Nina. They had both been there after her mother's death and Nina had spent many nights, tucked away with her friends, releasing any pent up emotions she had.
Nina didn't know when the ship would be leaving, but she knew it was soon if they were telling more guards about their idea to send the one hundred delinquents down to Earth to see if it was survivable. No one had really explained the reasoning for the trip, but someone had said that there was a rumor that they were running out of resources. She supposed it made sense, given the amount of time the Ark had been in space. They were bound to run out eventually, so why not run out while she was alive?
She was not looking forward to telling Bellamy about her trip. She was not looking forward to his reaction. She wasn't sure if she was afraid to see him upset over her leaving, or if she was afraid to see that he wasn't all that upset over her leaving. They were two opposite ends of the spectrum and either one could break her heart. But she had to tell him because she knew leaving without doing so would only make her feel horrible for the rest of her life. Nina glanced at the time, knowing that Bellamy would be arriving at her apartment soon. She had asked him to meet her at her place after his last class so she could talk to him. She hadn't released any information about the topic of the conversation, but she made sure he knew it was important and that it should be done in private. She realized that he could have a million scenarios running through his mind, but she knew none of them were the correct one. Nina sighed and sat down on the couch, leaning forward and moving her knees up and down quickly, growing antsy with anticipation.

Nina scowled and looked up at Bellamy, annoyed by his short tone and lack of patience. It wasn't like she had begged him to help her out or anything. In fact, he had been the one to offer to help her find a tent or see if she wanted to pair up with someone else. She would have been fine if he had walked away for all she cared. But she knew they had to talk. They couldn't keep walking around camp snapping at one another. It wouldn't end well and people would start to notice. But Nina didn't know what she would say. She sure as hell didn't have anything to apologize for and she knew him well enough to know he would never apologize. "Fine," she snapped. "Just give me a tent if there are any left." Of course, now that she was being a bitch she knew he would only get worse. At least, that's what she thought given past scenarios with him. He may have changed, but she knew it wasn't for the better. He seemed more closed off and angry at everything and everyone.
Walking into the drop ship she looked around. A few people were walking in and out of the room but otherwise it was just Nina and Bellamy. After a moment of silence passed, she was unable to hold her tongue any longer. "I don't know why you're being such a dick to me," she said. "I haven't done anything to you." She shook her head and ran a hand through her brown hair. "I have a right to be pissed at you but you don't have a right to be angry at me." Granted, she knew he had been going through a lot but she had been under the impression that they cared about one another. Nina knew that she cared for him more than he did for her. But that didn't mean she wasn't hurt by his actions.
She turned to walk down the ramp, leaving the drop ship but turned around to say something else to him. "Not that you care, but my dad wanted to put me on trial for aiding an illegal child. He didn't believe me when I told him I had no idea." She scoffed when she thought of her father and how furious he had been. He probably just wanted to get rid of her, that way he had no one that could be used to get to him. "It was actually Kane that told him to back down."

Nina was relieved when someone shouted that they had found the radio. She quickly got out of the water and looked down at her boots that were now wet. At least they were boots. She was certain that only a little bit of water had seeped into her boots, if any at all. She would have to check it out when they finally got back to camp. Everyone began the walk and she kept to herself. She could hear someone bitching about the fried radio, and she guessed it was Raven but she couldn't be certain. Once they returned Nina took a minute to check out the camp, noting everything that they had done since they had landed. The drop ship was being used for multiple things but most of the kids had set up tents around the camp. They had even built a decent wall surrounding the camp, and Nina had to admit that she was impressed.
Bellamy's voice pulled her from her thoughts and she looked over to see him speaking to her. Nina pursed her lips and nodded her head, "It doesn't matter," she said. She had no preference but she realized that she didn't really know anyone down here other than Bellamy and Raven. She knew Raven would want to spend time with Finn and she was certainly not willing to be in the tent when that sort of reunion happened. She chuckled a bit to herself as she thought about how accurate that prediction was. Nina kicked a rock with her boot before looking back up at Bellamy. "No preference," she added.

She ignored his suggestion to lay down, too focused on finding out if Octavia was okay or not. This was the most important thing to her at the moment. Not her health or her well-being, but knowing whether or not her friend had survived the bomb. The bomb that one of her own people had let drop on the city. She still couldn't believe it and she knew she would be sharing more than a few words with Clarke about it. She had to know that she couldn't just do things like that without consequences. So many people had died but Clarke was getting away with it. Only a few people knew about her allowing the bomb to drop and Nina knew things would go South if everyone found out about it. But she couldn't just keep her mouth shut, it wasn't in her personality. Clarke had to know that things could not just be swept under the rug. Nina felt herself growing angry as she thought about it, but tried to dismiss the thoughts from her mind and return her attention to the man standing in front of her.
Relief flooded through her when she heard him say that Octavia was okay. She visibly relaxed at his words and nodded her head, happy to finally know an answer. She knew that they had probably still lost some of their own people, but Octavia was probably the one she cared about the most when it came to those that had been at Tondc. She furrowed her brows as she read the expression on his face. She could see from his clenched jaw that he was angry, but there was something else in his eyes that she was catching glimpses of. Was he blaming himself for the bomb? Nina knew her friend and she knew that it was something he would do. Sighing, she shook her head. "Bell, it's not your fault," she reassured him. "If anyone is to be blamed it's Clarke. She could have done something to save everyone in that village. But she didn't," Nina pointed out. She was glad to hear that the battle with Mount Weather was over, but she didn't even want to know what Clarke had done to secure that victory. She was sure it was something she didn't approve of. But she knew someone had to make the tough decisions and that she probably shouldn't be as angry at Clarke as she would.
She waved her hand in the air, dismissing his words. "I'm fine," she said. Nina pushed him back so she could hop down from the bed she had been lying on. She wavered a little bit and reached out, placing a hand on Bellamy's shoulder as she gathered her bearings. Knowing that the walk would be a little more difficult, Nina looped her arm through his and nodded towards the entrance. "You can, however, escort me." She did not need to be carried, even though she hadn't minded when she had first arrived back at camp.

Nina listened to everyone speak around her, but she didn't chime in on the conversation. She was tired and wanted to sleep. She was glad that she had finally reached camp and she just wanted to see if everyone else was okay. She knew that resting wasn't going to happen, especially if she couldn't sleep. She heard Bellamy ask the doctor about putting her on an IV but it was her assistant that spoke up, telling him that they didn't have any left after the bomb at Tondc. They were currently trying to figure out an alternative solution to the problem, especially since they knew it wouldn't be the last time they would need an IV. "I'm fine," she assured everyone. "I'll just drink water from a cup." She looked back and nodded her head at Bellamy, telling him that she would be fine.
Abby and her assistant left and Nina swirled around on the table so she was sitting up but facing Bellamy. "Is Octavia...okay?" She asked. Her tone was soft just in case his sister wasn't okay and she was bringing up something he didn't want to talk about. She had adored Octavia from the moment she met the girl. She admired her bravery and her fierce demeanor. For a girl who had been stored beneath a floorboard her entire life, she was certainly a well-balanced person. But if Abby had survived then it was entirely possible for Octavia to have survived as well. Octavia was a survivor, that much she knew.

Knowing that tons of people were going to die didn't sit well with Nina, even though she didn't care about anyone else up on the Ark. Her father was there but that relationship was too strained for her to care, even if he was her father. She just hoped none of the kids suffered because of their failure to radio the Ark. She wondered if they would even tell the citizens about shutting off the oxygen, allowing them to do something to enjoy their last moments. But if Nina knew one thing, it was that the council liked to keep things to themselves. She remembered when she had found out about the oxygen crisis. Apparently the council knew about it and that was the real reason Jake Griffin had been floated. He had wanted to warn people but the council thought it wasn't a good decision. Nina knew that she would have wanted to tell people if she had been in his position. She would have been floated but she would have died knowing that she did the right thing.
They walked to the river and Nina got lost in her own thoughts. It wasn't until Bellamy spoke, warning her that she shouldn't have come down here, that she was brought back to reality. She scoffed at his sentence and shook her head. "Don't worry, Bellamy. I'm pretty sure Earth is big enough for the both of us." She wasn't sure why he was warning her about coming down here. Maybe it was because of all the stuff going on, but she guessed that it probably had to do with things being complicated between the two of them. Either way, she didn't really care how Bellamy felt about her being down there. If she could avoid someone on the Ark then she could certainly avoid someone on Earth. "I was hanging out with Raven while she was working on the pod anyway. If I didn't go, I would have been floated." It didn't matter what she did, she would have been shit out of luck regardless.
Arriving at the river, Nina glanced around and everyone spread out, looking for the radio that Bellamy had tossed. She walked into the river, doing her best to ignore everyone around her and attempt to find the radio. She wasn't really trying, but rather thinking about what they were going to do now that they were down here.

She frowned when he tossed the food onto the table. She could get into trouble for stealing food if people asked enough questions. All the cook had to do was talk to another guard about the inspection Nina did, and she would be toast. And she doubted her father would do much to save her. He probably wouldn't even care if she were to be floated. She shrugged when he claimed she didn't know him well enough to know if he was a nice guy. He had a point but it didn't make much of a difference. "Fine, let me rephrase that. You seem like a really nice guy. You're one of the few guys I can stand to be paired up with in class." She shrugged her shoulders again, not sure why she was even defending her statement in the first place. Most people didn't correct a person when they said they were a good guy, but apparently Bellamy Blake wasn't like most people.
Nina stood up from her spot on the couch and placed her hands on her hips, tossing Bellamy an annoyed look. "Well believe me when I say, I won't turn you in. You may think you know me because I'm 'privileged'," she said, putting air quotes around the word privileged. "But I don't act like one and neither does my mom. She gives her rations away to her kids at school and sometimes I give her mine." Of course, she hadn't been able to as of late given that she needed to food since she was burning off so much energy during training. Folding her arms across her chest, Nina stared him down, not willing to look away or to be the first to cave. "I don't want anything," she said again, attempting to reiterate her point.
A soft chuckle escaped her lips when she got an idea. "You know what I want? I want you to forget this ever happened," she said. "I thought I was doing the right thing but apparently not. The only time I care about nailing someone for stealing is when that person is more privileged than anyone else on this Ark. Those are the people I turn in." Nina wasn't sure what else she could say. She didn't want him bugging her for the rest of her life, but she didn't want him to feel like she held his life in her hands. "I stole that food too, so I could get into just as much trouble if someone finds out." She shrugged her shoulders again.
