Nina gave her a reassuring smile when she was met with Harper's surprised look from her touch. Nina was not known to be a very affectionate person but sometimes she found herself slipping up when she was around people she cared about. She didn't care for hugs when someone was leaving on a trip and she certainly didn't do random hugs. But this moment was a little different and she didn't mind the physical contact at all. In fact, she had reached out to the girl without even thinking about it. It had been an automatic response to seeing any sort of concern on Harper's face. She wanted Harper to know that they would find some place to stay the night, even if they couldn't find the cave.
They walked for a little more until Nina saw Harper form a grin on her face. She looked in the direction that her friend was looking and she smiled when she spotted the entrance to a cave. "See? I knew you could find it," she said. The two made their way into the cave and Nina looked around to see if there were any signs of someone else living here or even an animal. The entrance showed no signs of a life so Nina moved in a little more, continuing to check for any signs that would cause concern. They wouldn't be staying at the mouth of the cave anyway, so it only made sense to continue moving further into it.
Once she was satisfied that their space was not inhabited by anyone or anything, she moved to gather some rocks so they could create a small fire to keep them warm. Then again, Nina wasn't opposed to the idea of not having a fire and simply snuggling up with Harper so they could survive the night. "Let's get some sticks for a small fire while it's still light out," Nina suggested, dropping her back on the ground in the cave. She supposed it was a stupid move, considering a grounder could steal it but she didn't plan on traveling far away from the mouth of the cave so she would be able to keep an eye on things.
She left the cave and began to gather twigs and larger sticks in her arms. She would occasionally grab some smaller twigs for kindle but kept to gathering the sticks that would do a good job burning. Nina didn't know how long she had been collecting sticks but once she believed she had enough, she returned to the cave and dropped them on the ground near the makeshift fireplace she had created with the stones. Nina sat down and began to arrange the sticks so they could start a fire. "Too bad we don't have a little heater," she said with a small laugh. Nina had never been skilled at creating a fire so she hoped Harper was a little better. If not, she knew they could figure it out together.

She nodded and gladly followed Harper. She was thankful that the blonde knew of a cave nearby and that she appeared to remember where it was. She was sure that they could have figured something out if neither of them knew of a nearby shelter. They were both smart girls and they knew there were plenty of caves around here. But if Nina was going to get lost in the middle of the woods she was glad she was with Harper. The girl brought a sense of safety and calmness to Nina and she didn't really question it. If someone could provide those things then she would gladly accept them, especially down here where it was needed the most. There were some people in her life that she was drawn to for unknown reasons and she knew that Harper was definitely one of them. The girls hadn't known one another on the Ark but once they had met and began training and hanging out, Nina was glad that she had met the girl. The blonde's mere presence had the calming effect she so often needed.
Taking her question into consideration, Nina thought about all of the things that could be more productive. "Well, we could be training. I'm sure there are plenty of things that need to be done around camp. I mean, I'm sure there's something that needed to be done other than go after this group. I really don't see how two extra guards will help the security at Mount Weather," Nina pointed out. "And we could always do some extra training. That's never a bad idea." Especially if she got to train with Harper, who she had declared to be her favorite sparring partner already. Nina didn't mind pairing up with others but if Harper was around then she always made sure to grab the girl. She didn't hate the idea of them training in minimal clothing either.
Nina kept her eyes peeled for any sign of a cave. She glanced over at Harper to read her features and she could see a small amount of concern on her face. She didn't know if it was because they were headed towards Mount Weather or if it was because she was having a hard time locating the cave. Either way, Nina reached out and squeezed her arm to let her know that everything would be okay and that they would get through this together. Nina was not about to let anything bad happen to Harper.

A blast of warmth hit her center and she bit her lip at the sensation, feeling Bellamy fill her with everything he had. They both attempted to come down from their highs and one of Nina's hands went to his neck and began to softly play with the hair at the nape of his neck. Her head rested on the top of his as his forehead pressed against her shoulder. She took a moment to catch her breath, attempting to regain her composure after their strenuous activity. The kisses on her shoulder made her realize that he had heard her words and this was his response. Nina had never pressured Bellamy to vocalize his feelings. She had been happy enough to simply be with them. Perhaps that was a reason why they had always worked so well. She had never forced him to open up to her or talk about things he didn't want to. And she never held it against him when he didn't return any words involving feelings.
She fell down with him, laying on his chest. She tucked her face into the crook of his neck and closed her eyes. Exhaustion overcame her but she didn't want to fall asleep. Nina wanted to bask in this moment with him because she wasn't sure it would ever happen again. She had said she wanted to get it out of her system but she knew it hadn't worked. If anything, it had only made her feelings for him stronger. His caresses on her back only made her more sleepy and she had a hard time trying to open her eyes again. One of her fingers began to draw circles on his chest but her movements grew slower and she just rested, eventually falling asleep.

She seemed to get a positive reaction from him after she had clenched herself around him a few times. Nina met his enthusiastic thrusts and tilted her head back for a moment, opening up her airways to get more air. Her breathing was already labored and she found her breaths becoming more shallow as the coil continued to tighten in her stomach. She gasped at his new position, wrapping an arm around his neck once he sat up. His thrusts didn't even appear to falter and she continued to meet them. Nina's head fell back as his mouth latched onto her. The sensitive bud in his mouth only heightened her pleasure and she felt like she was going to fall over the edge very soon.
His hand traveled up her back and she got slight goosebumps from his touch. The new position was allowing Bellamy to hit her spot and she let out a moan at the sensation. Nina continued to move against him, making sure to keep that angle so that he would continue to hit where she needed him to. She felt him twitch inside of her and she knew that he was close. Knowing that he was as close as her almost put her over the edge and she felt like she was being dangled over, an orgasm taunting her. But one more thrust sent her over and she felt her body release everything. She clutched onto Bellamy and rode out her orgasm, her body producing small spasms as every muscle inside of her clenched and unclenched around him. "Oh my god, Bellamy," Nina muttered as she continued to come down from her high.

She gasped when he moved his hips upwards, pushing himself further into her. Her hands found their way onto his chest so she could steady herself as she continued to grind herself down on him, moving her hips in a slow rhythm at first, still attempting to get used to his size. His hands on her backside, pushing her down onto him caused a moan to escape her lips. She didn't even care if people could hear them. This moment was about her and Bellamy and she wasn't going to let anyone ruin it. Nina continued to thrust her hips down, meeting his own thrusts with every turn. They soon began to get a rhythm going and Nina began to speed up her movements, finally used to his size.
A thin layer of sweat began to form on her body as she continued to move against him, pushing him as deep into her as she could. She clenched her walls around him a few times, doing so while she still had a small amount of focus. Faster. Harder. Nina began to feel the coil begin to tighten in her stomach again; the feeling that Bellamy had stirred in her moments ago was finally returning and she wasn't going to let this one go. Leaning back slightly, it gave Bellamy a whole new angle to hit her spot that no one but him had ever hit before. They knew how their bodies moved together which she was thankful for. It was this sort of feeling that she had been craving and she wasn't sure if she would be able to take one last hit of his intoxicating demeanor.

Angling her neck to give him better access, her breathing became more shallow as his fingers picked up speed. She felt a small coil begin to tighten in her abdomen but it quickly went away when he removed his fingers. She would have complained if she didn't already know that was probably what he wanted. Any sort of retribution she had in mind disappeared when she noticed that his hands were pushing his underwear down as far as he could with her on top of him. He pushed at hers and she quickly maneuvered herself so she could pull them off completely, tossing them onto the floor. She moved his down the rest of the way, pulling them off his ankles and discarding them to an unknown location.
A soft chuckle escaped her lips and she tilted her head to the side. She wasn't sure if she was flattered by his comment or offended. Nina wasn't under the impression that he hadn't slept with anyone since her. He was attractive and was fairly flirty, at least that's what Nina thought. Taking a small moment to return his teasing, she hovered over him, aligning him with her entrance. She moved slightly so he wasn't quite entering but he was still touching her. She let out a soft moan at the small amount of contact and once she decided she couldn't stand it anymore, she sunk down onto him. Nina swore and kept still for a moment, allowing herself to adjust to him before she began to move again.

She had not survived the crash in the Ark only to die from grounders. Things appeared to be better since the death of Finn, but Nina could still feel the tension in the air. There were many people that didn't want an alliance with the grounders after everything they had done. Some believed that they needed them so they could survive, but Nina wasn't too certain what she believed. The grounders were extremely skilled in killing, especially her own people as it appeared. But she also agreed that it was better to make alliances than it was to fight a war. She didn't want to fight a war they couldn't win. Sure, they had guns and other technologies but that didn't account for the numbers the grounders had and their fighting skills.
She heard Jaha speaking about what he had been through in the dead zone. She found his stories to be interesting but she didn't put much thought into them. That is, until he started to ask people to come with him to the City of Light. He wanted to find it because it was supposed to be something amazing. He wasn't going around asking everyone but for some reason he had approached Nina. At first she had dismissed him, having no interest in running into a desert without knowing where to go. But over the days she thought about it and decided that it was an adventure she couldn't pass up.
Nina stood with her backpack on, glancing around the area. She had been to the dropship once before, and that had been when the Ark had first landed on the ground. She had gone with Kane's group to look for the delinquents but had only found some of them inside, along with an injured Raven and John. It was crazy to think of how much time had passed since then and now. They had lost so many friends but at least she was still alive. Nina intended to keep it that way, which was why she had taken a chance on Jaha and agreed to join him on the journey to find the City of Light. She wasn't sure if she believed it actually existed, but she would much rather do something as opposed to sitting around with her thumb up her ass, waiting for the grounders to attack. But Nina was standing out here with some other Arkers she had never really talked to before, waiting for Jaha to get what he needed. He had asked them to meet him out here and they were currently waiting for him.

Nina still had a hard time believing that she was on the ground. On Earth. It hadn't been planned and she wasn't even supposed to join Raven, but the timing had worked out and that's what happened. After realizing that Abby wasn't going to make it due to Kane and some of his guards, Nina had jumped ship with Raven. Had she stayed behind she surely would have been floated, probably for aiding illegal activity. Nina hadn't been doing anything other than simply hanging out with a friend, but she knew they wouldn't see it that way. She should know. She was a member of the guard, after all. And perhaps that was why she believed they wouldn't cut her any sort of slack. They would want to make an example out of her, especially considering who her father was in the guard. Her mother had been floated a few years back and if her father had been unwilling to try to save his wife, then he sure as hell wouldn't try to save his only daughter.
Like the 100, Nina hadn't expected for anyone to already be living on the ground. The people were all killed by radiation, at least, that's what they had been taught to believe. But there were people there and they called them Grounders. An original name that always had Nina chuckling. She hadn't run into any except for the one that Bellamy had brought back to torture information out of. Even as a member of the guard, Nina had been highly against his decision. As far as she knew, he had done nothing but save Octavia and tend to her injuries. It didn't even appear he had lived in a village so he could have been on his own. The idea of him leading his people back to their camp was amusing, at least to Nina. They weren't trying to hide and anyone could find them if they really tried. She knew the Grounders knew the area a hell of a lot more than they did. So if they sent a search party out to find their camp, then they would likely succeed.
After listening to Octavia, Nina had agreed to help free the Grounder from the torture. He had already had a nail shoved through his hand, been whipped by Bellamy and electrocuted by Raven. Nina felt bad for him and it hadn't taken her long to agree to help the girl. Nina knew that Bellamy's goons were always keeping an eye on the girl, even more so now that the Grounder was in their possession and they knew she wanted him to be let go. So Nina kept an eye out for anyone while Octavia worked her magic upstairs with the guard and worked on freeing the Grounder. Nina found it a little unfortunate that he didn't speak English, but there was nothing she could do about it. Even if he did, she had a feeling that he wasn't exactly the chatty type.
Nina saw Octavia helping the Grounder down the ladder and Nina reached out to help them down. "I'll go back with him and make sure he's okay. I promise." Nina looked at the younger Blake sibling and the girl nodded her head. "Come on. Let's get you back home." Nina thought it was a bad idea to bring him back to his cave, considering Bellamy and his friends knew exactly where that was. But Nina had agreed to do this and would do whatever Octavia asked of her. Helping him out of the dropship, they went towards the wall where Nina had begun to make a space for them to go. She wouldn't be able to squeeze them both through at the same time, but one at a time would work. "Come on," Nina urged, going through the hole and holding a hand out for the Grounder to take once he got through.

She looked over and grinned at Harper, listening to her counting off the reasons on her fingers. She laughed and nodded her head. "They don't think when they're excited?" Nina asked with a raised brow. "That's being generous. I'd say they never think." She ran a hand through her brown locks and laughed, shaking her head in disbelief at how some people could be so smart and so stupid at the same time. But she knew Bellamy and his group would be fine. They didn't even really need them, but she had a feeling that Kane wanted the extra bodies there just in case the grounders decided they didn't like them using Mount Weather. The whole thing had been iffy to begin with, but now she knew that things were going to go South. After all of the people the grounders had lost there over the years, she wasn't surprised that they wanted to place to never be used again. But they also didn't understand all of the advantages the place had. Using Mount Weather would be an issue that Nina knew wouldn't be over anytime soon.
Nina shook her head. "No tent," she said. She hadn't even bothered to ask, knowing that she would have received another firm 'no' from Kane. But the tents were rare and even then they were given for people to live in. The ark may have landed on the ground but not every room was habitable. But the good thing was that there were plenty of caves around here and hearing Harper say that she knew where one was made Nina relieved. "Yeah let's try to find it now," she said. If they tried to settle down with a few hours of sunlight left then they could at least try to gather some wood for a small fire. The nights were getting colder and Nina knew that even snuggling up next to Harper wouldn't keep them that warm.

The skin to skin contact was absolutely intoxicating and Nina felt like she couldn't even think. But that had always been the good thing about being with Bellamy. When they were like this, she didn't need to think. She hadn't even realized his hand had snuck between them again until she felt it pushing at the last piece of fabric on her body. Nina gasped at the contact, her mouth going wide and she ended up biting his bottom lip slightly. Her fingernails dug into his shoulders when he pressed against the bundle of nerves at her center and she found herself grinding her hips down against his touch. She needed more friction. She needed more of him.
Nina could feel his arousal through his underwear and she moved herself slightly so that she was almost hovering over him. Desiring more friction, she moved against him while also enjoying the feeling of his fingers. Her foggy thoughts were beginning to make her lose control, something she wasn't quite fond of. But she also knew what came with losing control and it was so tempting to give in. She craved the curl-your-toes feeling that Bellamy had begun and she connected their lips again, rocking her hips against his hand.

She smiled at Harper as she said that she was glad she came. She knew she was probably still feeling a little nervous, not that she blamed her, but Nina wanted to make sure that she felt comfortable the entire time they were there. If she needed to leave, then Nina would leave with her. The only reason she was even going was because Kane had asked her to, and even then she hadn't really wanted to go. She had been in Mount Weather too and while she hadn't been drilled like Harper or some of the others, she had been chained up and ready to put on the chopping block. Luckily Clarke and Bellamy had saved them before that could happen, but she had a feeling that the mountain might still give her the creeps. She knew they wouldn't be going into the room that held their experiments, but knowing it was there still creeped her out.
Nina scoffed and shook her head. "No," she said. "They were able to take a rover. Bigger group means getting a rover I guess. Although I did try to get us one, trust me." Nina had done enough walking to last her the rest of her life. Besides, she knew how long it would take for them to get there. She didn't see why they couldn't have taken a rover, especially if the group needed them as badly as Kane believed they did. Why bother sending them at all if their timing wasn't important? Nina knew they wouldn't make it before nightfall, which meant they would have to find somewhere to rest for the night. Whether they found a cave or even stumbled upon that bunker that Finn had found, they would have to figure something out. And Nina preferred to figure it out before it got dark.
"I still don't know why Kane felt the need to send us," Nina said. "I'm sure they will be fine. They've got a good group." Not that Nina would ever say that around Bellamy. She knew he didn't need his ego inflated anymore than it already was. "We could be doing something far more productive, in my opinion." Like, sparing for instance. Nina would have loved to blow off some steam with Harper. She had been feeling a little rusty on some of her moves and trying to work that out would have been a good use of her time. "But we'll want to make camp somewhere before it gets dark," she said. Nina wanted to point that out so she wasn't the only one thinking about it. Knowing her luck, she would forget about it until it was too dark to see anything.

She hadn't done the research because she believed him to be uneducated. Rather, she had done it so that she could understand what he was stealing. She wanted to know what was so wrong that he would steal something in order to fix it. A simple cold could have been fought. But this? This required medicine that was vital enough to risk getting caught. And he had gotten caught, but he was lucky that it had been Nina instead of someone else. Although she was certain that if you asked Bellamy right now, he would say that he would have rather been caught by Kane. She was certainly being annoying enough to make him regret his decision. But Nina didn't want Bellamy to regret stealing the medicine. She wanted him to accept the food and go on with his life.
But that wasn't going to happen and it was becoming abundantly clear as time went on. They could argue all night but nothing was going to happen. "Fine," she said throwing up her hands in defeat. "You can just walk out of here then. I'm certainly not stopping you." She rolled her eyes. "I looked it up because I wanted to know why you were stealing it. And I'm not getting into your business on purpose. I was simply trying to help you out. Hate to break it to you Bellamy, but not everyone is manipulate on this hunk of metal, okay?" She didn't know what else she could possibly say to him.

Her hand gripped the four ears tightly, swinging them back and forth as she walked. She had gone hunting with another Arker that she couldn't remember the name of and she had only caught two rabbits while he had caught nothing. The rabbits wouldn’t do much but she could at least give them to Octavia to put in the little meat hut the group had made. She sighed and the two walked into the mouth of the camp, silence between the two. “Thanks,” she muttered before heading off in the opposite direction. She glanced around the camp and people seemed to be amped about something. Had something happened while she had been away? Walking over to her friend Jane, who sat outside the meat hut, Nina handed the girl the meat. “That’s it?” Jane asked. Nina sighed and nodded her head. “Afraid so. We didn’t really see anything and didn’t want to go too far,” she explained. “I’ll try going out again tomorrow.” Maybe she would be able to grab the same kid again. He was quiet enough but also tried to kill animals for food. It was better than bringing someone who only wanted to goof off in the woods, making noises and attempting to attract Grounders.
Jane nodded and returned to her task of preparing meat that others had brought back throughout the day. Glancing around, Nina wondered what had everyone so antsy. “Did something happen?” Nina asked, turning back to look at the dark haired girl. Jane let out a cool chuckle. “Murphy showed up at the gate.” Nina raised an eyebrow. She had no idea who Murphy was and why his presence would make everyone talk like this. Seeing Nina's expression, Jane nodded her head. “Right. You weren’t here when he was. Bellamy banished him because he wanted to kill this little girl,” Jane explained. “He wanted to kill her because she had killed Wells but everyone thought it was Murphy so everyone here tried to hang him.” Jane glanced down as if she were ashamed of what had happened. “But she jumped off a cliff, killing herself and that’s when Bellamy banished him. Anyway, some people found him at the gate. He was beat up real bad. I’m surprised he’s still alive.” Nina glanced towards the drop ship where she knew Clarke was probably taking care of him. “And Bellamy let you take him inside?” Nina asked. She knew it wasn’t like Bellamy to just roll over and forgive someone, especially if he had banished him. “Only to let Clarke help him. But he said Murphy has to leave when he was better.”
“I’ll see you around,” Nina said, trailing off towards the end. Her eyes were locked on the drop ship, curiosity getting the best of her. She heard a small response from Jane but hadn’t paid her enough attention to know what she had actually said. Nina walked off towards the drop ship and glanced around. Some people were resting or hanging out, but she didn’t know how they were getting away with it. Bellamy always wanted people working, making the wall better. Clarke usually helped people in the back so she went in that direction. She spotted someone in the back a moment later and walked up next to the girl. It wasn't Clarke but instead a delinquent that Nina had seen around. The girl glanced at Nina and offered her a small smile before returning to what she had been doing. She was working on some of Murphy’s scrapes and any stab wounds he might have accrued during his imprisonment.
“How bad?” Nina asked, folding her arms across her chest and looking at all the blood and dirt that covered him. She had no idea who he was but she felt bad for him. She couldn’t really blame him for wanting revenge after what had been done to him. People had been so quick to punish him for a crime he had not committed, but when the real culprit was found they did nothing. She knew the girl had been young, but that still didn’t make things right. The girl shrugged and talked as she worked. “We’ll see once Clarke can get more of these cleaned up. So long as nothing is infected he should recover,” the girl explained. “But then you’re sending him back out there again?” Nina asked, looking at the girl with a confused expression on her face. “Why patch him up if you’re just going to send him away again? The Grounders will probably find him and want to take another shot at him.” It wasn’t pretty but it was the truth. The girl pursed her lips and avoided Nina's gaze. She didn’t have an answer for her. Nina opened her mouth to add more to her argument, but the sound of two guys walking towards the back of the drop ship caught both of their attention.
“John Murphy!” One of the boys yelled. “Can’t believe you dragged your sorry ass back here.” The boys grinned at one another and Nina looked over at the other girl. She looked a little worried so Nina made sure her face showed no emotion. “What do you want?” The girl asked. “To finish the job,” he said, holding up the knife in his hand. The other boy looked unarmed but Nina couldn’t count him out entirely. Nina scowled and narrowed her eyes. “I suggest you leave,” Nina snapped. The boy raised his eyebrows in surprise but his face also showed amusement. Nina loved it when people underestimated her. She had been doing a lot of fight training with Octavia who had been learning from Lincoln. “You two just go outside, alright? We’ll take care of the rest. We’ll just say he succumbed to his injuries.” The boys snickered and Nina saw the girl shifting from how uncomfortable she was. Neither of the girls said anything and the boy with the knife stepped forward. Nina reacted quickly, grabbing his wrist and turning him around, pressing his front against the metal wall. She twisted his wrist and held it behind his back. He was struggling but Nina was putting all her weight against him and she had his wrist twisted so any time he moved it was painful. “Drop it,” Nina hissed. The boy let go of the knife and she kicked it towards the other girl and Murphy. She released him and he quickly stumbled back towards his friend. “Crazy bitch,” he yelled as he rubbed his tender wrist. The two boys left the drop ship and Nina turned to the girl, a small smirk on her lips.
“I need to go find Bellamy,” she said. She hesitated and glanced towards Murphy. Nina waved her hand, pointing her towards the door. “Go. I’ll stay with him. I doubt they’ll come back anytime soon.” She nodded and quickly left the drop ship to find Bellamy. Nina picked up the knife she had kicked and handed it to Murphy. “Just in case,” she said, glancing back over her shoulder towards the door. She pulled up a chair next to where Murphy was and she leaned back in her seat, arms folding across her chest. “So what happened?” Nina asked. She was curious to know what had happened to this Murphy character she knew nothing about.

Nina didn't miss the uncertainty flash across Harper's features. She thought about rescinding her invitation, not wanting the blonde to feel pressured into going. Nina hadn't really thought this whole thing through, she realized. If she was a good friend then she would have found someone else to go with her, someone who didn't have such a horrible history with Mount Weather. But before Nina could tell the girl that she would find someone else, she heard the girl agree to go with her. Her eyebrows went up in surprise but a grin found its way onto her face. "Excellent!" She said. She laughed at Harper's comment about not wanting Nina to have to go with someone other than her favorite. "My point exactly," Nina pointed out. She adored Harper and admired the strength the girl had found since Mount Weather. Perhaps that had been why Nina had been so eager to agree to help train her with combat. Those sort of traits were rare these days and Nina would do anything to keep someone like that close to her. It wasn't that she didn't have friends, it was that most of her friends hadn't made it down here. Nina had always busied herself with training back on the Ark, so her group had been small. Sure, Bellamy was down here but she knew he had a lot going on and she wasn't one to bother him to hang out with her.
Handing Harper a bag, Nina readjusted her own backpack. "We're good to go unless you need to do anything first," Nina explained. They were all set to head out and although she had tried to get Kane to give her a rover, he had said that the two of them could walk. Nina hated the idea of being vulnerable on all sides, whereas the rover gave them some sort of barrier between them and any enemies that might find them. Given their current relationship with the grounders, she didn't think it would be an issue but she was never one to assume the best of people. Nina would bet that there were still grounders out there that did not like the idea of having an alliance with the sky people.
She led Harper towards the gate so they could leave on their journey. She hoped it wouldn't take too long to catch up to Bellamy and his ground, but she also knew that they had been given a rover to drive in. They would probably be at Mount Weather in a few hours, whereas Nina knew the walk took around eight. People guarding the gate noticed Nina and Harper and they signaled for the gates to open. She took this time to really look at Arkadia and everything that it had accomplished in the past few months. Things were going great but Nina never said it aloud, afraid that it would jinx their community. The gates were opened and Nina led Harper outside, leaving the sound of them closing behind her. "Glad you decided to come," Nina confessed, offering the girl a small smile.
@harpermcintyre | ME TOO! I thought it was an awesome idea to have Harp be her favorite sparring partner.

She was almost certain the two had been too busy making googly eyes at one another to let Jasper and Nina know that they were falling behind. Nina was observant and had seen the way Finn looked at Clarke. They distracted one another and left Jasper and Nina behind. They were screwed, even if Jasper didn't want to admit it. Nina shook her head. "No, no. We're totally boned." She had never really heard that expression before but decided that she liked it and would use it again. But she was sort of thankful for Jasper trying to be positive during this whole situation, because Nina certainly wasn't being helpful. He rattled off information about the sun and coordinates. She had never been good with that kind of stuff. She didn't need it until now so she had never retained it or even attempted to.
Nina nodded her head at his suggestion of trying to find Clarke and Finn. "At least until it starts to get dark. Then we need to head back. We're no good to anyone if we die out here," she said. She didn't know what was out here in terms of animals, but she certainly wasn't willing to find out. Her hand automatically went to where her weapon was, but realized that it had been taken away from her back on the Ark. They hadn't thought it was necessary for her to be armed down here. In this moment she wished she had insisted on bringing something with her.
