"You should stay lying down," Malia suggested as the girl struggled to get up. "You have taken quite a hit to the head and you do not want to tear your stitches."
The corners of Malia's lips tilted into a slight frown at the girl's words.
"My warriors did not find a man with you." She flicked her fingers in a hand signal the healer's assistant nodded and left. "I will have them go back to the place they found you and look closer."
She studied the Trikru girl closely. "What kind of mission?" she asked, but doubted she would tell her. Either way, she would interrogate her properly if necessary. Malia would get the answers she wanted out of her. "What is your name?" She did not think that she would recognize the girl's name, but she wanted to know it anyways. "Do you remember what happened to you? You got hurt some how. The wound in your side looks like one from a spear." Malia should know; she tended to use a spear over any other weapon.
She nodded at the water beside the bed. "Drink. You could use it." She could hear in the girl's voice that she was dehydrated and needed a drink of water. It would help her get her strength back.
She continued to study the girl, watching her expressions and her slight movements, trying to decide if she was an enemy or not. Once she found out what her intentions here was, she would find out.

The wind blew through the village houses. The leader of the Trishana Clan made her way to the medical tent. She had been summoned by the healer; their guest was awake. Malia was not sure how she had gotten injured, or why someone from Trikru was this far from their territory, but she was going to find out. They were on good terms with Trikru, otherwise they would not have treated her wounds and set her up on a comfortable bed. She would have been kept in a cell for interrogation. Malia was not too concerned that the warrior had been scouting out a route for battle, but she wanted to make sure that there was not any trouble. Perhaps she had just gotten lost. Now, a warrior getting lost in her own territory and wandering out of its boundaries was not likely, but she had gotten this far from her home, therefore perhaps it was possible. She was planning on finding out.
Malia pushed her way through the tent's entrance, nodding a greeting at the healer. She had a quick discussion about their visitor's health and then she went to see the girl for herself. She stood by the doorway as she looked inside, studying the girl. Her warriors had found her near the boarder, injured and unconscious. If she had gotten into a fight with their neighbors, she needed to know. If tensions were rising between the Clans, she needed to know. She had to keep her own Clan safe. She knew that the focus was mostly on the Mountain Men and planning on how to defeat them, giving someone a chance to launch an attack when they were all preoccupied. She cleared her throat to get the girl's attention and began to speak.
"You have gotten quite far from your home. I would like to know why you have traveled this far."
The girl was obviously wearing Trikru clothes, so she must be from that Clan. She waited for the girl's response as she watched her, studying her expression.

Well, I think one of the only times Malia and Octavia would meet each other would be the planning of the battle of Mount Weather. Malia would definitely be there with the other Clan leaders. For an AU.... (trying to think of a reason why they'd meet...) I guess I'll have to think about about that. If you have any ideas, let me know! I'm open to anything.

Her eyes flicked up to his in surprise. She hadn't expected him to offer his direct assistance. "Thank you," she said, her gratefulness apparent in her voice. She was relieved that he would be helping, but frustrated that her people's lives solely depended on this Trikru warrior.
She nodded, turning and leading him into her territory. She knew her warriors would be silently following them as they walked, keeping close enough to know whether their leader was in danger or not, but far enough that Lincoln wouldn't know they were there. Unless, of course, he already assumed there were they. Malia wouldn't go anywhere without her guards hanging around.
She glanced behind her to make sure Lincoln was following, even though she could hear him. She was glad to have the excuse to hurry back to her Clan. She was worried about her people. "The sick are separated from the healthy," she told him. "They are gathered in one of the villages. I have warriors coming and bringing them food and supplies as well as healers who stay there. I am trying to contain the sickness as much as I can."

Malia had went into Leiana's room, not used to knocking. She stopped as she saw the Sky Girl's expression, confused. She frowned slightly, studying her. There was nothing in the room she had to be embarrassed of, and Leiana had seemed to be reading when she had come in. She glanced around the room, finding the half-hidden book. Why was she trying to hide the novel? It was not like Malia knew how to read. Why was she embarrassed of it? Was this not a good time to talk to her? She had not seem all that busy.
"I apologize," she said, looking back at Leiana. "Should I wait until later to speak with you?"
