Malia had heard noise coming from Luna's room as she passed by. She had been crying out in her sleep, and being worried, Malia went into her room. The guards outside her door did not even blink as she slowly pushed the door open. She quietly closed the door behind her, gazing at the woman lying in bed.

"Hello," she said softly and respectfully. "I heard you crying out in your sleep as I was passing by, and I was worried. Are you alright?"

She was worried about Luna. She knew what it was like to have bad dreams; she had them every night. She hoped the powerful woman would not ask her to leave. She wanted to help, not let her suffer alone.

It was the cursed Mountain Men. Returning from Polis, Malia and her guards had ran into hidden group. They had killed some of her guards, but they hadn't gotten away with their lives. Malia had been shot as she attacked the Mountain Men, but thankfully, all of the Mountain Men they had come across were dead.

Malia held on to the shoulder of one of her guards, feeling dizzy and lightheaded. Her vision was speckled with dots and was foggy. She had trouble walking, letting her guard led her back to their frightened horses. Her guards helped her mount up, and led her horse back to their territory.

Malia was limply laying on top of her horse as they brought her back to the village. Her people watched worriedly as they brought her in, stopping what they had been doing to stare. They carried her to her hut, bring a healer with them. After a few hours of traveling, her vision had only gotten worse, to the point that she could barely make anything out. And it was only getting worse. The healer examined her, noting that the dart she had been shot with carried poison that was turning her blind. They could fix her if they had the cure. They just had to find it.

It had happened suddenly. One moment everyone was fine, the next they were all on the ground. Azgeda had attacked, leaving their village smothering in ashes. They had set fires with the acidic sap, causing their skin and lungs to burn. Malia staggered out of the village, coughing. The air was thick and foggy, making it hard to see through and breathe. She looked around frantically, unsure of whether the people moving through the smoke in the distance were her people or Azgeda warriors. She tripped over hidden rubble on the ground, her hand over her mouth with a cloth to try and make breathing easier. She finally saw someone she recognized, and stumbled towards him.

Ilian!" She grabed his arm, holding the sleeve tightly with her hand. She pulled him away from the village, coughing. She didn't want them to get caught. Under the smoke, it was unlikely, but they would die if they breathed it in anymore.

"We must leave," she told him hoarsely. "We cannot fight them on our on, nor save our people. We must go find help."

He was speaking with Mikah, her second-in-command. She was worried that he, Mikah, could tell that she was expecting a child, and she didn't want him to think lowly of her. After all, the father of the child was a Sky Person. She hadn't meant to have a child with Bellamy, but she wasn't going to kill it.

Malia walked into her bedroom, a towel wrapped around her. She had taken a bath after her meeting with the Commander and the Sky People, and was ready to turn in to bed. The meeting had gone fairly well, and Malia did not think there would be an issue with the Sky People in the further. She wringed her wet hair with her towel, then got her clothes out on the bed. She had just put her undergarments on when the door to her room opened and someone walked in, her guards not stopping him from entering. She shrieked a little bit, staring at the person in surprise. As she got over the initial shock, she glared at him, recognizing the Sky Person from the meeting.

"Do you ever knock?" she snapped, wrapping her towel around her. She didn't like people seeing her in her undergarments. Wearing anything less than what she went out with made her feel vulnerable. Still, at least she wasn't naked.
