“Oh don’t get me started. It’s nice to see new faces for a change.” She said, the smile never leaving her lips. The words were true, though in reality she knew it could’ve been a lot worse. “They’re my family now though.” At least she hadn’t had to endure those years alone. The thought alone set her teeth on edge. “Even Murphy,” she added with a smirk. Despite her teasing words, Miller did look different. Not so much physically, but it was something in his eyes. Something she recognised, and instantly she knew those years in the bunker must not have exactly been smooth sailing. “But I swear if I’d heard Monty tell another knock knock joke, I’d have flung myself out of the airlock,” she said chuckling.
With a hand on his arm she pulled him further aside, her smile faltering as she prepared herself to ask him a question. Making her way to a rock surface she sat herself down, pulling Miller down beside her. “Six years is a long time and…” there were some faces she couldn’t spot in the crowd. Faces of people she cared about. Her mind flashed to Murphy’s bullet being removed from her back. So that the first names that came out of her mouth were… “Abby, Jackson…are they…?” She couldn’t bring herself to complete the sentence. Already mentally preparing herself for the bad news.

She chuckled coldly at his words. Like she should take comfort in the knowledge they’d try to use her against her people. At least it meant more time for her to figure out a way to get out of this dump. “That bitch has another thing coming if she thinks I’m going to help her kill my friends.” She said defiantly. And Raven meant every word. With Murphy gone now, they had no leverage to hold over her head. She just hoped to every force in the universe that he’d stay that way. They could do whatever they wanted to her, she thought bitterly. Raven could almost guarantee she’d been through a hell of a lot worse.
She listened intently as he explained his backstory. It was still vague, and some of it she already knew from his file. But he was talking to her and that was something. Though she was reluctant to admit it, Raven was going to need him to get out of this alive. “Naïve’s not the word I’d use.” She understood the appeal of space more than most. Or at least she used to. “Unfortunate maybe…definitely. But not naïve.” She said. Without the usual bite to her tone she sounded almost sincere. He was just a survivor, like them. Doing what he could to stay alive. “Space explorer though huh? I read about you guys in history books,” she teased, leaning back and taking another bite from the plate beside her. Her curiosity driving her words now. “I’m sure life back then was different.”

Almost every day in space another name would drop into Raven’s head in those short moments she’d allow herself to wallow in the grief of everything they’d lost. Everything they’d done to survive. She’d wonder who'd survived in that bunker and for how long. Hell if any of them had. She’d try not to dwell on it, to hope for the best. But 6 years and everything they’d been through didn’t exactly breed positive thoughts. But making it to the ground alive…again. Finding out Clarke had basically returned from the dead. Well, that would make anyone an optimist again. Suddenly those names that rang through her head like a funeral bell weren’t so grim anymore.
Those first hundred kids though, that she’d shared so much with, pain, loss, finding any of them alive meant…well, it meant a hell of a lot to her. They were all bonded in a way words could never explain. As she finally saw movement over the rover’s windshield, she tried not to get her hopes up too much. Six years is a long time. And hope was a dangerous thing. But as they finally stopped, and she took in the sheer number of survivors, Raven couldn’t help the grin that appeared on her face. A smile that only grew when she spotted Miller making his way towards her. She wrapped both arms around him in an embrace that said more than words ever could. “I’m really glad you’re not dead,” she mumbled before finally letting go. “You’ve aged though,” she said teasing him. “Is that…is that a frown line I see?” she added, smoothing out the clearly unwrinkled skin with her thumb.

She shuddered at the thought of what else that man, McCreary could possibly do to her. She wasn’t a stranger to torture. An unfortunate truth to surviving this long. But these men were cold hearted killers. Shaw was right. And from what she’d learned from their files…they could do a lot worse than a couple bursts of electricity.
She left a hint of a smug smile on her face at his compliment. She didn’t need his validation but that didn’t mean it wasn’t nice to hear. “And you weren’t…terrible.” Truthfully, the challenge had been unexpected at every turn, almost exhilarating if the prospect of almost dying or killing a couple hundred people hadn’t been looming over her. She didn’t think there was anyone left alive that could possible share, let alone rival her technological skills. It’s why she’d been working so hard to train Emori. In this world, with all the people she’d lost, surviving was never a sure thing.
She didn’t miss his not so casual dodge of her question as he turned it around on her. So he wasn’t an open book. Fine, she’d get it out of him sooner or later. Maybe she just needed to change tactics. “I was the youngest Zero G mechanic in…” she trailed off. “Doesn’t matter anymore I guess.” That life felt like a lifetime ago. “But I’m good with tech…really good,” she said with a smirk. “I can fix-up almost anything,” she added, hoping he'd give her some information in return. Her mind trailed off to the rover. She wondered if any of it survived Praimfiya.
She hoped so.

She huffed in frustration at his refusal to help her, though she knew realistically why he couldn’t. It was too risky, for both of them. And she still needed him if she had any hope of getting out of here and back to her people. “Well you’re not the one getting zapped every time that psychopath wants to get his jollies,” she still replied through gritted teeth. She was allowed to be annoyed.
A stubborn part of Raven wanted to refuse the food but who knew how long they’d even feed her. Stubbornness wasn’t a luxury she could afford right now. Reluctantly she reached for the plate, looking away from him as she ate. After the day she’d had, Raven didn’t exactly have much of an appetite. But the water. She downed half the contents of the flask in one go.
Wiping her mouth she leaned down on her knees to be at level with Shaw once again. “What’s your deal anyway?” She knew it could possibly be a bad idea to interrogate the only guy that was keeping her alive, but Raven was nothing if not a risk taker. “I know you’re the pilot, and from what I saw in the captain’s log, that makes you the only guy here with half a brain to hack into the systems on the ship in space. So I know that was you.” A valiant effort, but no match for her of course. “Cute try by the way,” she added, mocking him as she leaned back.

Raven's fingers traced the edge of the collar for what felt like the millionth time. It must have been hours since Shaw left with Murphy. At least it felt that way...maybe longer. Groaning in frustration she kicked the edge of the metal seat. This waiting was torture. Almost worse than the actual torture these asshats had put her through. Her knee bounced beneath the elbow she left resting on it. Who knew if her plan even worked. Murphy could be dead right now. They all could be. And for all she knew, Raven could be next. No. She couldn't think like that. The plan would work.
It had to.
It just sucked that she had to rely on one of them to get them out of this mess.
As soon as she heard the door begin to open, Raven stilled her knee, breathing deeply. If it was anyone but Shaw, she had to be ready. She wasn't going out without a fight. Relief flooded her for a moment when she recognised him. Reluctantly she accepted the plate and set it aside. There were more important matters. Just as she was about to bombard him with questions, he spoke.
She finally released the breath she hadn't realised she'd been holding since he walked in. "Of course they are," she replied with false confidence. Though the sheer relief was clear in her tone. "It was my plan," she added with a raised eyebrow. A dig at his earlier suggestion that would've gotten all of her people killed. The fact that he suggested a plan at all still confused her. He confused her. "Hope you're not still expecting a thank you." She still didn't understand why he wanted to help at all, and that annoyed the hell out of her. Sure, he wasn't like the prisoners, but that was about all she knew.
"So you gonna do something about this or what," she said, her fingers at the collar again. She knew he couldn't take it off her without raising suspicion, but maybe they could find a way to disable it?

"I'm glad you're here, Raven," She opened her eyes and turned to him, seeing the sincerity in his eyes as he continued. Speaking of how he couldn’t have done this without her. Hearing him say that, mean it. Well...it meant a lot to her. Being valued was always something she’d fought for her whole life, since she’d been born. She’d had to prove to everyone she was worth it. Her lips twitched upward for a moment in gratitude before she looked away, breaking the moment. If it could even be called that.
“Don’t get sappy on me Bellamy, it’s only been two months,” she chuckled, turning back to him. “How are you gonna show your gratitude when it’s been five years?” She teased with a smirk on her lips, before realising the suggestive nature her question could have. If she was the kind of girl who blushed she might have, especially considering their history. But instead she did what she was best at. She deflected.
“Hey, you gonna drink all that yourself or what?” She asked, practically shoving the cup at him. Waiting for him to fill it. His confession or compliment or whatever you want to call it left her feeling exposed. Maybe it wasn’t so much the words, it’s not like she’d never been praised before. I mean come on, she was Raven goddamn Reyes. Perhaps she was more afraid of the way that look in his eyes made her feel.

There's only one person in my life who never disappointed me or shattered my trust.
Sinclair.
He'll always be the guy that never had to believe in me but did anyway. Every damn time I needed him, he was there.
May we meet again...

If you could go back in time and warn yourself with only one word about the events that would unfold, what would you tell your past self? I don't think one word would do it for the shitstorm we had to weather through. But even with a goddamn speech I probably couldn't prevent a fraction of the hell we lived. So I guess if I had to say something, it would be...
"Give 'em hell."
Yes, it's more than one word, but I've never been one to follow rules...

What is the most frustrating thing about being Bellamy Blake 's friend? Can I say everything? Because everything. That guy can be the personification of frustrating sometimes, I swear. But I guess his stubbornness is the worst. Especially since I can occasionally be stubborn sometimes, maybe. I mean five seconds after we met he had his hands around my throat and I stuck a knife in his face; so yeah we've had our arguments.
But despite the occasional bickering I couldn't ask for a better pain in the ass leader. And friend...

Do you trust the Grounders in space? I trust them about as far as I can throw them. But the same could be said for some of the Arkers too. *cough*Murphy*cough* We're stuck with each other though, and I don't have to trust them to work with them. We all just want to survive.

If sacrificing one of the remaining 100 could return Finn to life, would you? If so, who? I already tried that with Murphy while Finn was alive; a "suggestion" I made that I'm not proud of. It wasn't fair but I was angry and desperate. Nothing can bring him back, wallowing in what if's is a sure fire way to drive yourself insane. And I'm not done fighting yet.
...but if for a moment, for just a second before I go to sleep I think about it, about how I dream I could've taken his place. Well, I don't think anyone would judge me too harshly for that...

Do you regret coming to Earth? Life's too short for regrets. Even shorter than usual for most of us. I can't change the past no matter how much I wish I could. And besides, dwelling on regret's only been bad news for me in the past.
I'm nothing if I don't learn from my mistakes.

Do you ever have nightmares?
All the time, but I try not to wallow in them. And I know for a fact I'm not the only one waking up in a cold sweat every night. If everyone else can get by, then I sure as hell can too.

Raven shifted slightly as he sat next to her on the bed, but stayed close to him, her thigh touching his. She accepted the drink with a tired but grateful smile. Grateful for the welcome distraction he was offering from the moments she was forced alone to her thoughts, without even mindless labour to keep her occupied. “Ha! Fun huh? You took the word right outta my mouth Blake.” She said, keeping her tone light enough to conceal the harshness of her obvious sarcasm. At least she wasn’t alone up here. She didn’t think she’d be strong enough to last if that had been the case. Even the ground had survivors. A hope she’d been holding onto as fact since the alternative was too terrifying and just goddamn sad to even consider.
Her lips quirked up at the edges as she watched him mentally calculate how long they had left too. “Tryna one up me already?” she teased, gently clinking the edge of her glass against his. “I see how it is…” she trailed off, narrowing her eyes at him before downing the glass in one. Her face scrunched up at the immediate burning sensation before it settled in her stomach. Exhaling loudly, she closed her eyes for a moment, allowing herself to savour it. “I really needed that.” She spoke quietly…honestly, before gently opening her eyes and turning towards Bellamy again.
