Octavia Blake
I don't want to survive. I want to live.
Octavia watched as the other kids paired off, quickly moving toward their friends. Normally they came in and sat here while the teacher Mr. Pike, explained to them how to make a fire, or cook food. Not many of them paid attention, but as this was the first school experience that Octavia ever had she wanted to learn. She would watch him and try to remember how things were done. Why this was their only class, she wasn't sure, but she had learned to watch the faces of adults and know the unspoken. Her Mot--her mother had gotten this look on her face when she had to tell Octavia to do something. Bellamy got this look on his face when he had to make her get under the floor. Pike often had this . . . too serious face on. She wasn't sure what was happening, but she knew enough to know something was wrong.
O didn't move to pick a partner, or even look around. Either someone would brave it and come up and want to be her partner, and ask about hiding under the floor; or whoever was last would be paired off with her . . . and they'd ask that hated question about being under the floor. So instead of trying to head off what she knew was coming, she sat there silently, waiting to see who the unlucky person was that would have to be paired with her. Sometimes they would get paired with her and she could tell they thought her stupid. They would read aloud to her, or speak slower. But she showed them. She could read, write, and keep up. She had a damn good teacher after all.

I don't want to survive. I want to live.
He said all the right words, and at first she felt glad that he was going to help her--even though she didn't know how they were going to get out of here with everyone always watching her every move. If she moved toward the gate, even with the guards distracted, then someone would be running to tell her brother. She was a traitor to them. She was the grounder lover. Ever since it had come out that she had helped Lincoln escape, she wasn't anyone's favorite anything. She knew they would rat her out in a moment. They'd run to her brother who would round up his little followers and they'd march after her and either drag her back before she could find Lincoln or worst find her after she had and get someone else killed.
So the reason she remained sitting, even with Finn saying he would help, wasn't because she didn't think he could, but because he had picked up something in his hands the she had never seen him pick up--a rifle. She expected to see it in her brothers, or in Jasper's or in anyone but his hands. He was a 'no guns' person, so she had to wonder why the hell he had it? "Why do you have that?" she asked in a surprised voice, not moving until he explained. She had helped train with them at first but now she wasn't so willing to touch them. They were why the bridge went wrong--because a jumpy Jasper had panicked and shot up the place. Why did he have it now?!

I don't want to survive. I want to live.
Octavia heard him walking up, but not until he was close. She didn't know how the grounds seem to always know where they were, but she wished she could do it. Finn was the closest thing they had to a tracker, and was good! She was very willing to learn everything she could from him. She wanted to explore EVERYTHING down here! She wanted to climb the trees, and swim in the water! She had been locked up for 16 years and she wanted to enjoy her freedom now! O loved the Earth! The smells after a rain, the butterflies, the way everything was a flourish of color! Nothing was steal, grey and cold here! Everything was warm and bold and she wanted to be just as wild!
Finn moved her hair and tucked a flower there, and once again she smiled. The last one, Monty had told her was poison, but apparently it was only so if you ate it and she wasn't planning on eating it. Beautiful and deadly. Oh to be a flower. He spoke, saying he had wanted to make sure they weren't followed and she thought again of her brother, who would make Finn's life hell for this if they were caught. "Yeah! Lets get out of here!" She agreed, not wanting anything to stop them or ruin this day! They were free, and she was going to enjoy being bold with him. "Lead the way," she teased, knowing that she was still learning how to find her way around and would need him to guide them until she got her barrings.

I don't want to survive. I want to live.
He told her that he was glad she had protection, and Octavia had to bit her lip at the need to say something angry. She loved her brother. She did! But she had spent 16 years hidden in a room and now he expected her to spend another few years hiding in a tent and she wasn't going to let him make her do it. Though, Lincoln's next words soothed the anger, and she felt herself relax. Everyone needed some protection. That was true, though she wished she was strong enough not to need anyone's. One day.
And Lincoln was helping her be strong. He was teaching her so much and Octavia was a vigalant student. She abosrbed everything he did and said, and tried to use it. This time it was about plants, and one that could make someone sleep. She make a stronger mental note about that, though she wasn't sure if she could use it on the others at camp. Still, it might come in handy one day, like if anyone got injured again. Practical use.
She reached for the fuzzy leaf, and turned it over in her fingers, while thinking about how it looked and where he found it, and how to tell it from the others. "How much do you use?" She asked, not wanting to get anyone killed by mistake. Looking up from the leaf, she watched his face, and because distracted for a moment, but not enough to make her stop learning. He had spoken about his village, and she wished she could see it. She wanted to walk among his people, but she knew that it would not only get her killed but him as well. She wouldn't risk his life, even though she wished more then anything that she could be with him openly. Her people would kill him, and his people would kill them both. She hated the knowledge.
((OOC: HAHAHAHA! No worries! I wouldn't be able to tell what you make up and which you don't!))

I don't want to survive. I want to live.
His eyes opened when she spoke, and Octavia had to wonder if he had been sleeping and she'd woken him or if he hadn't been sleeping. She felt a small amount of guilt for waking him, but she was also excited to tell him the news, and find she couldn't wait until morning. She wanted to make this perfect moment better, by sharing it with him. "I'm awake. Is everything okay?" he asked, and she smiled slightly. Unlike the others, when he checked on her it wasn't because he was hiding her from the other, and she was grateful for that. She had spent 16 years being protected from EVERYTHING, and she liked knowing she didn't need anyone's protection now, but that she had his anyway.
"Everything's fine," she whispered back, watching his strong face and loving the almost smile there. "Just thinking." Which wasn't something she thought she was good at, but she wasn't going to admit her faults. Not when he treated her like she was perfect. "I was thinking about the village you were from. How it was full of children, and wondered if that was something you wanted one day." O asked him, and while she didn't know his answer, she felt like she knew it. She knew he would want the baby, but she still wanted to lead into the surprise! Build the moment to make it perfect!

Octavia Blake
I don't want to survive. I want to live.
It had been some time since they had left her people behind, and sought their own life together. Octavia and @linkon. For her part, she had left because she no longer fit in with them, and had never really done so. It was hard to hug her brother goodbye, but she had to go out int he world and find a place she could be herself. Where she could live the way her heart wanted. With Lincoln.
And today, she was reminded of why. O was laying in bed with him, and loved the feel of his arms wrapped around her. The warmth of his body next to her, the feeling of peace she had when it was just them. She didn't have to prove herself when it was just them, and she loved him all the more for it. With her people, the useful was worth more. Not here. "Are you awake?" she whispered, not moving to look up at his face in case he was sleeping. She wanted to share the news with him. She had suspected for a while now that she might be carrying his child, but had waited to make sure. This moment--one that felt peaceful and perfect with how close she felt to him as they just rested--seemed like the perfect moment to tell him.
Octavia was happy to find out she was going to have a baby. It was hard to think about her being motherly, but at the same time she felt an immense love for the child she hadn't meet yet, and knew that she would do anything for it! For the first time she understood why her mother would rather hide a child for it's whole life in one room, rather then giving it up. Thankfully, that would be needed here, and O was even more grateful for that.

I don't want to survive. I want to live.
O waited by the homemade gate until the guard wasn't looking, and she slipped out. Moving deeper int he woods she waited by the agreed upon meeting place. She was waiting for @finncollins to join her, so they could go and scout. While he could just walk out of the gate, she didn't want to risk her brother stopping her, so she had not waited to walk out with him. Bellamy had drastic reactions to her and boys. She didn't want Finn dealing with that either. Which was why it was better to avoid her brother knowing.
Octavia and Finn had been trying to learn more about Earth since they landed, and they both didn't want to take weapons out and stare a fight that didn't need t be started. They both agreed about peace, and that the best way to achieve it was to learn about the grounders. Today they were going to head toward where they think a village might be and try to get close for the first time. It was stupid not to tell someone where she was going, but she also knew that if the wrong person knew that they would be followed. It was a risk, but it was one both her and Finn agreed to take.

I don't want to survive. I want to live.
O was livid! First her brother and Raven, and now Jasper, too! Everyone was so damn scared of the grounders that they wouldn't even look at the peace she and Finn had tried to bring to them! Worse, she was having trouble sneaking out because Bellamy knew she had been doing it now, and was watching her every move! Damn it! She was angry, and pissed, and livid, and other words she couldn't think on right now! Lincoln had risked EVERYTHING to try to help, and what thanks did he get?! An arrow! . . . . and she wasn't even sure he was alright! That hurt the worst right now. Not knowing what they might do to him for risking everything. Not knowing if he was alive.
Seeing @finncollins alone she walked toward him. He was really her only friend right now, because the others were idiots. He was by a fire alone, so she plopped down next to him, and spoke in a low voice. "We need to get out of camp. I need to make sure Lincoln is alright." Could he help her, or would he be as helpless as she was right now. She could feel her brother's lackeys watching them, which meant they might be trapped here. It was stupid! She was no more special then anyone else here but he had everyone ready to run tattle on her! She was supposed to have been pardoned by the Ark, but apparently she needed Bellamy's permission to breathe too now!

O had not even known she had given herself away until he turned to catch her! Damn it! She had thought she was doing it! If if she had to get caught, she was glad it was by him. "You're getting better." His praise made her feel better, and Octavia found herself smiling at his words. One of the reasons she was so fascinated by his culture and people was because they were so fearless, and powerful! She wanted that! She wanted that exhilaration, and thrill! That feeling that no one was going to lock her in a room, because SHE wasn't going to let them! He was giving her that! Giving her her a lot more then that.
"You okay?" He asked, and O finally replied, "Fine, I'm safe there. Bellamy isn't going to let them hurt me." THAT she was certain. As much as they were fighting right now, and as much as she didn't agree with anything he was doing--he wouldn't let anyone hurt her, and she wouldn't let anyone hurt him. He was more then a brother to her, he was part parent, and had been the only friend she'd had for 16 years. Just because they were at odds not didn't mean that 16 years of love went away. "All his puppets wouldn't dare disobey him."
And then he kissed her, and she forgot all about her brother. His lips were warm, and the kiss made her feel butterflies in her belly. It took her a second to open up her eyes after it, and his words--the slight double meaning behind them--made her smile. "Should we continue where we left off?" Yes, to both, her mind tease but she only spoke aloud to the one. "I've been practicing what you've taught me." She was ready to learn. Everything!
She knew that the more time she spent with him, the more she was coming to feel for him. It wasn't like the crush she had on Finn, or the feels she had gotten for Atom. With him there was something stronger there, something she wished she could embrace and never leave. He was so strong and fearsome--but he was gentle and kind. He had trained his whole life to take lives, but instead he saved his enemies. She loved the contrast, and knew she was falling in love with him.

After what they did to me? I say float them all.
He blamed the grounders. Of course he did. She knew that they had struck first, but that was their way. Knowing what they did now about how the mountain did this--She looked at Lincoln--to their people, she could understand why they hadn't just warned them. O also knew not many agreed with her. Just maybe herself, and Finn. There was a reason they were unpopular with the others. Though Finn had also just recently went against everything he said he believed in and killed 18 innocent people! Which meant she was alone. No one else seemed to get it.
She wanted to look at him and tell him that he was right, he would never understand because he wasn't there. It would be a snide comment, and she had always used them to not have to deal with others. Not looking at him she spoke, "Did they also tell you we burned one of their villages, kidnapped and beat one of their warriors AFTER he had gone out of his way to help us, and when we went to make peace after that, shot them up before peace could be made?" She looked back at him, "Or do they only tell you what they want you to hear? We might not have started it, but we had a few chances to end it, and instead we only made it worse." Not we. She knew were the fault belonged with.
Sorry! O's angry came out! It's not at Jackson!

I don't want to survive. I want to live.
Octavia had been staring out into the woods, trying to process everything that had happen recently. Behind her, Bellamy was giving orders to someone, and she looked away to watch him for a moment. Her name was ironic now. Sister to the emperor. Little did they know how 'dead on' that would be 17 years later. Her thoughts were slightly bitter, if not still loving toward her brother. She loved him but she didn't like him right now.
She had never seen him so violent and unwilling to hear her as when he had @linkon hostage. As when he hurt him. Stabbed his hand. Beat him with a---Octavia looked down to the fire, cutting off her thoughts, and bit her lip to keep from snapping at Bellamy again. Soon enough he would crawl into his tent with one or more of his girls and . . . . do whatever it was that he did with a few girls all night long--things she didn't want to think about.
Octavia had just looked up to where she had been looking and that was when she saw it. The flower. That had not been there a moment ago! Her heart skipped a beat, while she fought a smile and she tired to act casual as she stood up and stretched. Casual. Be causal! Moving toward her tent, she looked back at her brother who thankfully was talking to Clarke and wasn't looking . . . so she skipped her tent and moved toward the door.
She didn't have to wait long until the guard wasn't looking and she could slip out. Once free, she ran. Grabbing the flower she followed the long trail of flowers until she to where he was leading her, and he came into sight. His back was too her, so she slowed her steps. She tired to sneak up behind him on slight toes, making sure to step on no sticks, or leaves to give her away! Each step seemed to echo in her hears, as she got closer. When she was within reaching distance, she had to fight to not laugh, giddy with the idea that she might be getting close to sneaking up on his this time! Pulling out her blade, she moved closer still, and moved in to attack!

I don't want to survive. I want to live.
Klara explained that there was a tree where butterflies lived, and hurried off to lead the way. Octavia followed her, running to keep up. Running was something she picked up later in her life, as the first 16 years hadn't allowed a lot of running. Though not may of the Ark delwers had had the chance to run either. It had always felt good to run, and to go somewhere. Seeing new things was one of O's favorite parts of being on Earth. Even if they could go back--she never would.
There was too much she loved about the Earth! As they got closer, O could see the glow of the butterflies, as they were coating the trees in the little glean. The Earth amazed her, and the butterflies brought back that wonderious feeling that she had felt the first time she had saw them. Warriors of the Trikru clan might not stop and stare at butterflies in wonder but she couldn't help but to slow her step and look around at them. "Wow," she muttered, forgetting for a few seconds that she was here to look for a missing child. Octavia looked around but didn't see any signs that someone else was here. Would be hide? That would be a question that only Klara would answer. "Do you see him?"

I don't want to survive. I want to live.
O felt someone move closer tot hem, and she wasn't sure who it was--as she didn't open her eyes to see right now--but she heard the metal click, and assumed someone was unlocking at least one, if not both of his hands. Bell had been touching her face, and his hands hand been moved while that happened, so she buried it into his jacket--that hated jacket. The guard's jacket. While she understood his need to be in it, she had hated how he had pulled Lincoln in with him. She hated the feel of it on her cheek.
"You did this," she cried, both meaning it and not meaning it. The Blakes had always lashed out at each other, but right now she could only think about how he had put Pike in power. That it had been his support that had gotten Lincoln locked up. That because he acted too late Lincoln was dead. Betraying her hateful words however, was how her fist bunched into his jacket, and how she pulled him toward her. "You helped him." Another accusation, and this one she meant.
She heard Marcus speak behind her, telling everyone they might want to move toward the cave toward and to give them a moment. O both didn't want to be around her brother . . . can didn't want to be anywhere else. She wasn't sure which way she would lean with time, but right now she knew she needed his support. He hadn't been the one to kill Lincoln, and she knew he wouldn't want this. Yet she also knew that Pike wouldn't have gotten power if Bellamy hand't given him the support and aid needed. They'd killed grounders. They'd started a war--they'd taken him away from her.

Octavia Blake
I don't want to survive. I want to live.
Octavia Blake had promised herself that she would never be someone's prisoner again. While that wasn't how her brother and mother had made her feel--no one was going to lock her up and control her. She had spent 17 years locked up, and she would never spent another moment like that. That was why she was so angry, as she was being drug to where everything that they were taking her, that she still kept fighting. In the end, they had to hit her so hard that she saw two of everything, before they could get her into the room, and pushed to her knees.
Before her was a tall and overly thin woman. She had skin that was as creepy and pale as her blue eyes. She knew enough to know where she was at, Azgeda, so she could assume with out asking she now faced the queen. Shit. The worst part was, she had slipped out and was supposed to be going back from Polis--not one would even know where she was. She was alone. Bellamy was going to be livid. He would really yell at her now after this, even if it was only because he had been worried. "Clad in the attire of Trikru. Possessing the blood of Skaikru." She spoke after someone dragged O's gag out. "You, foolish girl, are dreadfully confused." O looked around her, taking in the numbers in the room, because it was that or roll her eyes.
"I'm not confused," She told her in an angry tone, "I know exactly who I am, and where I belong." Not the truth, but she wasn't giving them anything to use. O wasn't going explain her need for freedom, and the need to be strong to anyone here. Which made her realize why she was here--clearly they either wanted information from her, or was going to use her to get something they wanted. "What do you want." She demanded, needing to know that, because while she realized she was alone, she had also known Bellamy would be angry when he saw her again. Because he would. There was never a moment she didn't know that he would burn Azgeda to the ground to find her; as she would have done for him. That Lincoln wouldn't come. She didn't have people--she had a brother, and she had Lincoln.

Don't make me wait forever.
O didn't know if her mother would be proud of her or not. Aurora wasn't a 'save everyone' person, she had done things, and put others at risk to protect her family. She fought and gave up parts of herself in order to have this family. And now, O was sitting outside a door, waiting for her Brother to MAYBE be alright enough to open it, because he went into a stronghold full of enemies to save everyone--and she'd let him go alone. She shifted slightly, wishing she could go back and have followed him in. They would have been alright as long as they were together.
Jackson's talking help distract her from thinking about her brother, as he was describing farms on the Ark. She hadn't seen much of the Ark. Her room and her cell. For a day she had seen a dance, and the medical bay, but then it was back to lock up. She had never been able to run, or see in the distance. She wanted to see the farms that Jackson was describing on the ground. She wanted to be able to do that with him. She wanted Bellamy there! "I'd like to see that." She admitted, "When this is over, I'd like to see the farms grow." Do do something, to build something. "Do you think we will have peace?" Kane seemed certain of it, but he also seemed to think sending a bunch of kids to the ground was a good idea, so she didn't put a lot of stock in what he said. Jackson would be honest with her. She wanted to know what he thought.
She wondered what he would do with peace. Doctors helped the sick, but were there a lot of sick? She didn't know. Not too many had gotten sick around her so she wasn't sure the leveled of need there was about a doctor. Her mother had also given birth to her, alone and without a doctor, so she didn't think about women needing them either. Her fingers brushed over the back of his hand, as she held it while thinking. They could be friends. They could maybe even be more then friends?
