Octavia Blake
I don't want to survive. I want to live.
O heard a voice, and she looked over toward it. It was a grounder who was offering to so with her. Octavia really wanted to be accepted with the people, and while she wouldn't show it, was grateful that someone offered to go with her, so she didn't have to be stuck with the last one who wasn't picked. "Yeah, I am Octavia. I'm ready to move out." If a kid was lost, they needed to find them quickly, so all O really needed was her sword. She loved her sword. She had gotten it when they were fighting the grounders, but now she was using it to fight with them
For O, she loved the grounder culture. They had been the scariest things she had ever seen, and becoming one of them--learning to stand on her own feet and not just survive but live--was the most self-empowering thing she had ever done. "Which way should we go first?" With the mountain men out there, and knowing that if the men got a hold of grounders the grounders were never seen from again; made her want to be the one to find them. To use that to get respect from them, and prove she was capable.

I want to see the Ark, Bell. Take me outside.
Bellamy looked at her and gave her a reassuring smile before he looked back at his friend. O reached up to touch his hand in silent support as he reviled who she was. O watched the new man closely, knowing that he he decided not to tell then they had an friend that could help them; but if he told then there was no where to run. Unlike the books Bellamy had taught her to read, there was no far off places they could escape too. Finally the stranger seemed to make up his mind and he moved to kneel before her. Octavia tightened her grip on Bellamy's hand for a moment before letting it go. She would trust him if Bellamy trusted him. What choice did she have?
"Can you tell me what your symptoms have been and how long has this been going on?" O didn't speak at first, needing a moment to adjust to someone else talking to her. "Everything hurts, and I can't keep anything down." She admitted in a soft voice. She complained a lot about wanting to get out of this room, but she had not really ever complained about being sick or something. It was odd to explain to a stranger about this. "I am hot and cold at the same time." She looked up to Bellamy, before looking back at Jackson. "I'm Octavia." She told him, "my brother named me." Something she was proud of. That he had picked it out for her, and that she was close to him. "If you tell, they will float him." She reached out to grab the doctor's hand, He had said with actions that he wouldn't tell--but she wanted to hear the words. This was her brother's life. If the doctor didn't agree then . . . she she didn't know what she would do . . . She had to protect Bellamy at all cost.

I want to see the Ark, Bell. Take me outside.
Bellamy helped move to toward the bed, and O was grateful for the aid. "Bell," she called his name softly as he moved away to begin cleaning up. She kept holding her breath around him, not wanting him to get sick too. If he did then they both could die. O knew she needed to apologize, but right now she was letting Bellamy explain things. He was asking for help, and she hated seeing her brother have to ask someone for something. They both hated doing it. If this friend told on them then Bellamy was floated, and she would loose him. O sneezed harshly, while sitting on the edge of the bed and watching the men.
She wasn't hot any more, but instead cold. Shivering she looked up at the doctor who was asking why she wasn't in medical. "Because if he does, they will float him." She said, knowing her priority was her brother. She was under aged, they wouldn't float her--not right away, but Bellamy was over 18 and he wouldn't make the night. She couldn't loose him! He was everything she had and loved. He was her brother, but he was so much more then that. This doctor had to understand that she would die before she let Bellamy take her to medical. She wanted to see the Ark but not at the risk of his life. She shook from the chills, and then looked at Bellamy, waiting to find out if they'd made the right choice in trusting his friend.

I want to see the Ark, Bell. Take me outside.
Stay hidden, he had told her. O felt her belly churning, and she held it. She couldn't keep anything down, and she felt weak. Hot all over. Her hands shook, and she got dizzy sometimes. Leaning on the wall, she pressed her face into the cool metal, and let that help her feel better for a moment. Don't cry. Don't cough. Don't make sound. Right. They were the rules.
Her mother had gotten sick as well, but her mother had died. So now her greatest fear was dying too. O felt a sob come up from the though, knowing them Bellamy would have to get rid of her body and he could get floated over her. He said he had a friend who could help, and they had to trust him. She hated the idea, because it could get Bell killed. She was so excited to meet SOMEONE else, but it was hard to excited when she felt so bad.
O heard the door open and she turned and walked to the bathroom door. Pushing out of it she saw the friend that Bell had gone to get push him against the way. For a moment she felt dizzy, thinking that he was attacking her brother but then they kissed. "What are you doing?" She asked, standing near them The other man, Bell had told her his name was Jackson, turned to look at her, and O felt everything come up as she puked all over his shoes.

After what they did to me? I say float them all.
"I mostly only know what I hear," O could just imagine what that was. She had see the way the teenager that came down talking about; she couldn't wait to find out what their parents were saying. "And I haven't been on the ground long." Fair enough. She looked back up at him, and tried to decided on if she liked him or not. He was nice, and seemed to honestly mean his words.
"But I tend not to believe generalizations." Smart. "And I always believe what I see with my own eyes," Deciding then that she liked him, O smiled softly. He wasn't judging and she was grateful for that. She let the silence stretch for a long moment before she spoke again, "Thanks for the food." She told him, "and the company." It wasn't her asking him to leave, but more welcoming him to stay. "Not a lot of people around here are so opened minded." At least none she had really talked too.

Octavia Blake
I don't want to survive. I want to live.
Octavia had been staring out into the woods, trying to process everything that had happen recently. Behind her, Bellamy was giving orders to someone, and she looked away to watch him for a moment. Her name was ironic now. Sister to the emperor. Little did they know how 'dead on' that would be 17 years later. Her thoughts were slightly bitter, if not still loving toward her brother. She loved him but she didn't like him right now.
She had never seen him so violent and unwilling to hear her as when he had ariannabridges hostage. As when he hurt him. Stabbed his hand. Beat him with a---Octavia looked down to the fire, cutting off her thoughts, and bit her lip to keep from snapping at everyone again. Soon enough he would crawl into his tent with one or more of his girls and . . . . do whatever it was that he did with a few girls all night long--things she didn't want to think about.
Octavia had just looked up to where she had been looking and that was when she saw it. The flower. That had not been there a moment ago! Her heart skipped a beat, while she fought a smile and she tired to act casual as she stood up and stretched. Casual. Be causal! Moving toward her tent, she looked back at her brother who thankfully was talking to Clarke and wasn't looking . . . so she skipped her tent and moved toward the door.
She didn't have to wait long until the guard wasn't looking and she could slip out. Once free, she ran. Grabbing the flower she followed the long trail of flowers until she to where he was leading her, and HE came into sight. His back was too her, so she slowed her steps. She tired to sneak up behind him on slight toes, making sure to step on no sticks, or leaves to give her away! She tried this often, but he always knew she was near somehow! Each step seemed to echo in her hears, as she got closer. When she was within reaching distance, she had to fight to not laugh, giddy with the idea that she might be getting close to sneaking up on his this time! Pulling out her blade, she moved closer still, and moved in to attack!

Octavia Blake
After what they did to me? I say float them all.
"Nice to finally meet you. Though I wish the circumstances were better," Fair enough, this wasn't exactly the way to meet someone, but for O there wasn't much else. She could almost play out the whole conversation. Oh your the younger Blake one, the one hidden under the floor for 16 years. "I know your brother." Octavia looked down at her food and didn't say anything to that. She loved her brother, and was proud to be his sister, but hearing people tell her that he knew him was hard sometimes. He had been her whole world, but he had made other friends and had a life outside the four walls that she knew.
He smiled at her, and she thought his face look friendly. Not curious or judgmental like she had come to expect. Not that she was the victim here. O knew she played it up to keep a distance between her and the others. "I'm Jackson." His eyes moved to Lincoln, and O almost braced herself. "How did you two meet?" Smiling she visually relaxed. O knew she was being hard on him, and he seemed nice. He wasn't looking at Lincoln like he was a dangerous animal. It helped. A lot.
Shifting in her chair, she sat back to better be able to have the conversation and still see her lover. "We'd not been on the ground long, when I got separated from my brother." Why they were alone was a story she wouldn't get into. "He saved me. Kept me alive." Though at first she hadn't known it or been grateful. "He kept a lot of us alive." Even after her brother beat on him for hours. Even after Raven shocked him. "They aren't all bad." O told him, knowing that was how many saw the grounders. And she was coming to realize that not all Arkers where bad too. He was decent enough.

I don't want to survive. I want to live.
Octavia's word was full of anger, and bitterness. She only just had the rage in her bottled up. It felt like any moment the lid could come off and she'd say or do something with it. At least Pike was dead, or he better be. He had been taken tot he Commander and they'd give him an painful death. It didn't feel like enough, but right now she couldn't think about the man who killed Lincoln. She had to think about saving everyone. Then she knew she needed to leave. The memories were too strong here. They hurt too much. But it was hrd to think of leaving her brother. She wasn't sure she could do it.
Walking tot he airlock, she opened it and carried in Roan's coat and personal things that they had taken from him. Not including weapons. "We are going to leave soon." She got to the point and told him, "You need to get ready." She didn't have anything personally against the ice nation, other then what Lincoln had told her. She'd only run against them a few times, but right now it wasn't about this nation or that one. It was about breaking everyone out of A.L.I.E.'s control. "We will take the rover and can be there by tomorrow." End this quickly.

I don't want to survive. I want to live.
He was explaining how things would work, and O was paying attention. She loved learning, and learning about the outside world was all she really had to look forward too. Bellamy taught her everything he could, and she clung to every word. He explained some of what she already knew, but the rest she stored away for later. It was his last words that caused her to put everything down and her hands to come up to hold each other. "Maybe one day, I can actually show you the Ark." Yes! Her face was full of ope, as her eyes were wide and almost pleading with him.
She wanted that! She wanted it now, but if he was telling her that it could be soon she could try her best to wait. "Really?!" She asked, stepping forward to him. It was more then she ever had to look forward to before, and the idea was so intoxicating that she almost couldn't handle it! The pure excitement hurt from being so much right now! "When?!" An exact date might be hard to give her, and she knew that, but maybe he could tell her a time frame or something! SOMETHING to help her hold onto this feeling! "Bell!" Her hands came out to cling to his arm, while the surprise and hope on her face turned to joy! "Soon?!" O laughed excitedly! Apparently she was reduced to only being able to say one word at a time!

He made a fair point, and asked to join her. Octavia wasn't used to talking to everyone here. Mostly they looked at her in some sort of confusion or fear. Either it was the fact that she was a sister, or the fact that she had 'switched sides'. Someone being nice to her almost made her revert to her old self and say something snarky before sending him away. Right now however, he was Lincoln's best hope of recovering. Besides, he didn't look at her like she was a freak. "Sure," she said, reaching for her plate and moving it to prop on the edge of Lincoln's bed, as a makeshift table; before pulling a bit of it off and eating it.
Everyone knew her name by now, mostly because they talked about her; but she didn't know everyone else. They had said his name before but she had been only thinking of Lincoln. "I don't know your name." She admitted softly, but unapologetic. She would never apologize to one of them. Even if they were doctors with kind eyes and were trying to help. "I'm Octavia," she told him, knowing he knew but wanting to say it anyway.
The bitterness was always something she struggled with. On one hand, these were her mother's people and her brother's friends. On the other, they had been the reason she had been locked up for 16 years until they found her--and then they locked her up for another year, before sending her to Earth to die. The only people she considered her's right now where the others she was sent down with. Even then, most of them though she was a freak too.

Her brother caught her, and hold her to him. It was comforting, and it was getting easier to just let him comfort her, even though she was still hurting from what he had done. He was still her family. He he knew, but O knew that wasn't true. No one knew how she felt. No one else had lived the way she had--but out of everyone, she knew Bellamy should come to closest to really understanding. He had told her to stop playing pretend. Only for her, this wasn't pretending. This was who she was. She had nothing here, but him and memories of Lincoln.
He wanted to be there for her, and she wanted him there for her; but she was pregnant. With a grounder's baby. Pulling back, she wiped her face, and sat back down where she had been. Not wanting him to leave, she patted the spot beside her. For a long moment she just let the silence sit there, but when she spoke it was while looking at the jacket in her hands. "I hated seeing you wear this. Seeing him wear it." Yet she understand why Bellamy would wear it, but not Lincoln. She looked at her brother, "Being this--" a grounder "--isn't playing pretend for me." He had told her once to stop playing pretend. "Any more then this is--" she gestured to his jacket "--is playing pretend for you." If he couldn't accept that, then she couldn't stay here. She could stay for him, but he had to accept her as who she was.

After what they did to me? I say float them all.
O wasn't planning on leaving LIncoln's side for anything right now. She had thought him dead, and the loss had been too much. There wasn't many people in her life that she loved, and the loss of her mother had drastically altered her . . . she wasn't strong enough to loss another. Thankfully, she had not lost Lincoln this time, and Clarke's mom had helped him. She'd shocked him back to life. Now they were in the fall bits of the Ark and she was waiting for him to get strong enough to come back. The other doctor was walking around, but O didn't know him. She might have bene born on the Ark but she didn't know who was who or what they did or how important they were. This place was full of the people who would have killed her. Who did kill her mother.
The bitterness wasn't strong like it used to be. She understood that she had to get past all that in order for everyone to survive, but she also didn't feel like she belonged. This was the people that her brother belonged too; and Lincoln belonged to another group--she didn't know which one she belonged too, but she wanted to belong with Lincoln.
The doctor guy left, but when he came back he had food. O looked at the offer for a moment, surprised that he would be nice to her. Reaching for it, her eyes finally moved to his face, and O wondered why he was doing it. "Thanks," She said on a low voice. She was hungry. Noticing that he had too plates, and as Lincoln was sleeping she could assumed he meant to join her. "I can't sleep, so I might as well stay here. I don't want him to wake up alone here." Not that she thought anyone would hurt him, but Lincoln was tired out, and he didn't know anyone here either. She didn't want him to be alone like that.

I don't want to survive. I want to live.
O watched her brother looked at her, and she didn't know what to do to help him if he wasn't going to let the other help. He just saw grounders, and not people. That was the difference between them. With the TriKru being who she easiest identified with, she wondered how he saw her. The sky people, his people, they were the reason she had to hide under a floor. They locked her up and and then send her down here to see if the ground had any radiation large enough to kill her. They were the reason her mother was dead. Lincoln was dead. She didn't belong with them. She wasn't sure she belonged with TriKru any longer either. She didn't know who she was anymore, and if he didn't like who she was then she didn't have anywhere else to go.
But the Blakes weren't ones to talk about these things. They just took things out on each other, and she had to fight to make sure that wasn't happening here.
Not wanting him to be sick alone, O took a slow step forward and leaned on the railing beside him. A clear sign she was planning on waiting here for him. "This is where Lincoln was sending us that once." She told him, "Before the Ark came down, and the grounder army was going to attack; Lincoln was sending us here. When he had asked me to leave with him, we were going here." O paused, while looking out over the water. "This was a place he wanted to go too. This was where he wanted us to live." Looking back at Bellamy, she got to the point. "Luna told me I couldn't stay here." Which O hadn't really planned on it, she didn't like Luna telling her that she couldn't stay. Luna saw how much anger was in her, and she wondered if Lincoln would understand or like her brother, just look at her like he didn't know her.
O looked back out over the water. "I don't think any of us could stay here." She wished it for Jasper, but didn't think he would stay. "Are we just going to keep following Clarke forever, or do we have a plan B?"

I don't want to survive. I want to live.
Octavia sat at her seat and mostly pick at her food, but being raised how she was, she wasn't going to waste it. She knew that even when you didn't feel like eating--you ate. She was bored, restless, and feeling at odds with who she was now. She wasn't an Arker, never had been. She'd been hidden, and then locked away her whole life--then sent to the ground to die. She hated these people for so long she didn't know how to life with them. While she no longer wished them dead, she had never felt at ease with most of them. The 100 that went down with her was an exception. They were the ones who were kicked out just as she was. She had fought with them, bleed with them, cried with them. Everyone else was the problem.
Finishing her food, she got up and left, walking into the make shift bar they were building and watching them work on it for a while. Still restless, she left it there and paused. Seeing @jasper420. She knew he was hurting. When Mount Weather's people started dying, O had been surrounded by the guard, and she knew that her and Maya were dead. Only instead everyone else died right there. Knowing Maya was a friend, she had stayed with her until Jasper could get to her, but nothing could have stopped it from happening by that point. Walking over to him, she came to a rest to stand beside him. "Want to go for a walk?" They could clear their heads, and he looked like he could use some air and a friend. Maybe they both could.

I don't want to survive. I want to live.
He sat her on her feet, and O looked up at him. Bellamy! The moment felt surreal or dream like from how often she had thought about this. Only this time she could feel him, the heat and strength of him under her fingers. Her brother was back! He was here and alive! Bellamy teased her, saying she had gotten big. "Yeah well look at you," she countered, reaching up to brush back his hair. Though in truth there was so much more about him that had changed then just this hair. It looked like everything had. Everything but his expression, which right now was what looked more like his former self!
Sniffling from the emotion, O laughed softly and touched his face. "We thought you died on the Ark!" Or had thought it was a possibility. "We kept looking but we knew we might never find you." But against all odds the Blakes were back together! "Mom is going to be so happy!" But she couldn't move to go find her mother right now, because that would mean looking away from her brother! "I love you, big brother!" O reminded him, before moving to hug him once again!
