After what they did to me? I say float them all.
O looked back at him has he spoke, and she eventually nodded her head. He hadn't really approved, but couldn't stop it. She knew that the chancellor had been the one to do this, and he had been the one in the video that told them they were expendable. His own son! How did one say something like that about their own kid? O knew Bellamy had tried to kill him, but she was glad--for Bellamy's sake--that he had failed. Bellamy wasn't a murder. He didn't do things like that.
"Guess they learned their lesson," She added on, her tone bot quite bitter, but more ironically matter of fact. "We screwed everything up." She blamed a lot of that on the fact that the peace talks had turned into a shoot out! She knew the grounders were their to protect Anya in case they tried anything. Jasper gt scared and shot first! O knew she had to let it go, but she did blame him for that. She wouldn't throw his name out now though. He was one of the missing, and if this was what that place had done to Lincoln, then she could only imagine what they were doing to Jasper, Monty and the others.

He wrapped his fingers around her's and spoke of where he was from. "I've never seen a farm." She admitted, "What are they life?" She really did want to know, but she also asked to help distract her from the worry of waiting for her brother. Learning more about Jackson was about all that would distract her right now.
He had also spoken of her mother. "My mother wasn't really about saving people," Octavia admitted to him, "Family was first for her. She didn't worry about everyone else until we'd taken care of ourselves, first." That sounded selfish, but it was what they knew. Bellamy would always come first for her. He was her brother. She knew that she'd give everything up, right now, if it meant that she could help him get out of there. Some things were harder to give up then others--Jackson would be damn hard. She was glad that wasn't a choice she had to make.

O stared at him still, while trying to follow what he was saying. It was like when she was trying to understand Lincoln's language for the first time. Every 5th word or so was one she had to use the context of what he was saying to try to understand, but she really didn't. They'd basically been inside her body to see how she died, but then planned to what . . . write her off if she died? While she knew it wasn't directly him, it still only made her think the people leading the Ark in that moment where cold dicks.
She looked away from him and toward Lincoln, finding her self once again respected his culture more then her own. "Looks like you had everything covered," she said a bit bitterly. She was bit sorry she asked. O looked at her lover for a long moment, and tried to figure out if she was angry or bitter that the people who were supposed to protect it's citizens had kicked them out so coldly.
If they were really watching all that, O bet Bellamy's nightly 'flings' really toyed with their numbers. Rolling her eyes, she looked back at Jackson. "Did anyone try to stop it?" She asked, wondering if anyone cared that the Ark sent kids down to die?

I want to see the Ark, Bell. Take me outside.
Jackson said he wouldn't tell, and O sagged in relief. She ended up leaning a bit on her brother, until she could force herself to hold her own weight. The doctor was touching her, and touching her wrist funny. What was he doing? O had never been to the doctor's before so she didn't know if that was normal. Bellamy didn't look bothered by it, so it must. "Thank you," She told him, knowing that they were risking his life too--but if it kept Bellamy alive she would risk anyone's life.
He was asking about her mother, and O had to look at Bellamy for answers. She knew her mother got sick, but she had gone to medical--or so she was told--and then one day Bellamy had come back with bad news. He would have to answer any questions about what happened outside this room, since she had never been outside it. "Can I get my brother sick?" She asked, one of the fears she had been feeling. She couldn't get him sick! He couldn't die! He was all she had left! If he could catch this from her, then she needed to be more careful, and not let him as close to her as he had been. She had to protect him! Even if it was from herself, because she knew she was the only one he wouldn't protect himself from.

I can't get them home without you. Of course you can't.
Helios moved under her swiftly, and O felt her blood move faster. The winds were moving her hair back, and without her braids she felt it wildly whipping around her. Biting her lip she urged her horse on. She would catch them tonight. The imprint of the rover's wheels were thicker then the day before, where they were fresh and the ground hadn't covered up the tracks. Slowing her horse down, she paused to read some of the tracks to make sure they w still heading in the direction she thought, before moving off the trail to try to cut though a thicker part of the woods and catch up.
A few hours later she had slowed to a walk since it was dark. Where were they?! She couldn't pick up the trail, but surely they'd have a fire or something? O jumped off her horse, and took the reigns in her hands. She had a light from the Ark, and shined it on the ground. A short time later she heard a fight break out, and she grew still. Helios shifted his weight, and she moved her hand to brush back his fur, and say things calming to him. There was too animals fighting. She could hear the bear's growls and something else. A wolf she thought. O stayed there and still until the sounds became clear that the bear won.
She moved then, and ended up coming upon the scene of the fight. The bear and it's meal were long gone. She shined her light around the area to make sure she didn't see anything, before moving closer tot he den. If she couldn't find Bell then this might be her place to sleep for the night. As she got closer she heard little sounds from inside. Moving closer she found the source. Two cubs. "Lost your Mom, too, huh?" She asked them, knowing how they felt. O reached her hand out to touch one of them, but just then Helios shifted his weight, and backed up. Something else was out there. Pulling her sword she looked toward the area Helios had moved away from, and waited for whatever it was to move into her sight.

Jackson admitted that it hadn't been in his power, but that he didn't agree with it anyway. O nodded, but didn't say anything about it. It wasn't until he said "--Monitored your vitals." That she raised an eyebrow. That sounded . . . invasive? "My what?" She didn't know a lot of medical terms, as her and Bellamy had always found history more exciting then medical things. Vitals. Was that the stuff her wristband had told them? O had been one of the last ones to remove her's, and then she had only done it to help get in contact with the Ark.
She knew why Bellamy had had the others remove their bands however. She wasn't going to talk shit about that choice to anyone thought. Bellamy had done what he done, and there was no point in holding it over him. He was making better choices now, and she was proud to be his sister. Anyone who said different could deal with her, and her sword. She didn't expect Jackson to talk bad about that, so she didn't get defensive, just curious about the term he used.

O watched him as he talked about his family, and she felt a little guilty for asking. He looked away from her as he spoke about his mother, and she reached her hand out to take his in her own. For a doctor he had strong hands. Or did all of them have strong hands? The warmth was comforting, and she hoped he took comfort from it too. O hadn't thought about a lot of boys this way. Well, men either. Finn had been cute, but then Jasper had saved her life and she had kissed him once. Though Atom had turned her head right after. They hadn't been anything compared to Lincoln though. He had been something else. Something strong and untouchable. .... not untouchable. Nothing was down here. Which was why she felt protective over Jackson. She could feel herself more willing to open up and talk to him, and she didn't want to loose him.
"I'm sorry," she said, when he finished talking about his mother. She knew how it felt to loose a mother. It was the worst feeling she had had up til that point in her life. "I never knew my father either. Don't even know who he is." Which made her understand how much his mother meant to him. With you only had one parent, you had something special there. Stronger. "I think she would like you saving people like you do. I didn't know her, but I think any mother would be proud to have you as a son."

He was happy for her? That was different. O wasn't sure how to take that, and she only just watched him. Not one beside Bellamy or MAYBE Clarke upon occasion had been happy for her. Even then it was mostly Clarke being so when it round about benefited her. She didn't blame Clarke for that, it was something she understood more then a stranger being happy for her. Her social skills weren't the best sometimes, and communicating wasn't what she was known for.
"To be fair, I hated you long before you sent me here to die." O admitted, but without heat or any really hate in her tone. It was just spoken matter of factly. "It's only recently that I stopped." She didn't hate them any longer, but she didn't want to be apart of them. They had never accepted her. She would never fit in here. Either she was a freak because she was a sister or because she was in grounder clothes. "But I get it. It worked out." They had to cut the population to let the others survive. Harsh but it made since.
It was then that she realized she had seen Jackson before. When she was arrested on the Ark, she had been giving some tests before being locked up. It had mostly been a girl doctor, Clarke's mom, but Jackson had been there too. She had been rather upset about her mother and hadn't overly paid attention to who was doing what. She blocked most of that out. O was sure she hadn't been very friendly, but she wasn't going to apologize now. "Besides, from what i gather about politics, it the choice of who to kill wasn't yours." It had been Jaha's. Kane's.

His words made her feel a bit better. He thought it would work too, which was something. She looked back up at him, still surprised that he was there with her. Not surprised by his actions, because int he time that she had started to get to know Jackson, she had learned that he was a good man,and was loyal to his friends. She knew that if he could help anyone he would do it. But more surprised that anyone was really with her. For so long Bellamy had been all she had. Having Jackson here was a new feeling.
"On the Ark . . . " She begun, but trailed off and looked away. "On the Ark the only people I knew were my mother and Bellamy. They floated her--" she paused, not wanting the bitterness to be aimed at him, "--for having me. Bellamy was all I had left." She couldn't loose him. Not after her mother and Lincoln. With that thought, she looked back at Jackson and knew that he was risking his life here too. If he died, she she would have really lost everything. "Where is your family?" She had not really asked him that before. There hadn't been time with hos fast everything was moving, and the bombing of TonDC. Was his mother back at camp? Or had the Ark floated her too?

Klara didn't really answer O's question, but her insight did help. When they first landed, Octavia might as well as been an five year old. Everything had made her feel a sense of awe, and was like magic. She too had wondered away from camp while distracted by a butterfly. She had not gotten lost, thank to Atom following her, but she could try to use that to better help her decide which way to go. Try and think back to how she was then, to see if it helped her find the kid.
Not wanting to admit that to a grounder, O nodded. "Is there any place nearby that the butterflies might be? Maybe it was flying back there, and it could be a start?" Being she didn't know the way to anything around here, O would have to let Klara guide them, while she was the protector. "If not then we can try some place else afterwards." No one would give up while there was a kid out there.

Jackson put his hand on her knee, and she was grateful for the support. Right now she was facing loosing her brother--who had served as more then just the role of brother for her. She never knew a father, or had a friend. Bellamy had been all three for her in a way. She couldn't loose him. Not to this. She didn't like that they hadn't heard from him in a while and that the door wasn't opened yet. But O wasn't going to leave him. She'd wait forever if she needed too. He haven't given up on her, and she wasn't going to give up on him.
"Yeah, we wait until he gets it opened." She replied, looking at the door then to him. "He said he could free the grounders in there, and we could get everyone out this way, while Clarke and Lexa keep their attention on the front door." It had to work! If not then Bellamy was trapped in there and she might never get to him! O looked at the door once more, before looking at the cave wall before her. A warrior doesn't worry about things out of their control--but with Bellamy she didn't think she could turn it off. "Do you think it will work?" Jackson was smart, surly he wouldn't just do a plan if he thought it was a bad idea.

O sat there and took in his words, thinking about how he phrased it, and absorbing the deeper meaning behind the words. They would end up bringing each other down if they couldn't stop this bickering and fighting and work together. She knew the Arkers would never accept the Grounders but she respected their culture and values. She liked that they didn't think people weak because they were hidden under a floor, and made her earn everything. They had been the wildest things she had ever seen, and knowing that she could earn their respect had felt empowering.
But if the others didn't at least learn to work together, then this would be going no where.
Jackson added on that he trusted Abby, and O held back the comment that she didn't trust anyone. She trusted her brother, and she trusted Lincoln. She was growing to trust the Indra, but knew that this was her people and Indra would never fully trust a Skyperson. "I don't know anyone here enough to trust them, besides my brother and Clarke." Raven too, though O was still pissed that she shocked Lincoln. "My whole life I had to hide from everyone or watch my family die." and she just wanted to stop hiding. Never hide again. Never fear them again, but be feared instead. "I like it here better."

Don't make me wait forever.
Octavia turned the corner int he cave and came to a stop. The door. They had found it! She walked over to it slowly and pulled at the handle but it didn't budge. She knew that this didn't mean that Bell was dead, but only that he needed more time. So she would wait. And wait she did. For what felt like forever. O sat down on a rock not far from the door, and waited. She wasn't alone. Thankfully Indra and Jackson were here with her. Indra had been training O how to fight, and survive--and Jackson . . . he had become a friend she hadn't expected. She liked how simple things were with him. Right now she needed that. Especially after Lincoln.
O sat there another moment before getting up and crossing the cave floor to sit next to @severitysoftly. The others were going a bit deeper into the cave to watch out for reapers, but Jackson had a toner, so O wasn't worried about it being just her and him right now. Sitting down beside him, she pulled her knees up to her, and looked at the door once more. "Thank you for coming," she told him, knowing that he wasn't a fighter or trained. He could have waited back with the others but he came. She was glad that he did and she wasn't waiting alone.

"Sadly, that seems to be human nature," O could see that. She felt it every time she walked out of here, and she looked at her like she grown another head. "We were so isolated up there," That caused her softness to fade slowly. He felt isolated up there? Really? She didn't say anything, as she just watched him, and even though she came to see he meant from others, she still knew he could never understand what it was to be isolated. None of them did. Bellamy had an idea, but he didn't know. "And fear is so basic. It's easy to fear what you don't understand." That was true, too. But fear didn't have to make sure hate something.
Besides the Arkers should be afraid. If the grounders had a chance, they would remove all threats. Not that O blamed them. From where she had been raised, the only way she knew the Ark was the people who might kill her for being alive. The grounders at least would kill her for being a threat. "If we plan to stay alive down here, then they might want to get over that." It was easy for her to say that, she knew it was harder for it to happen. Looking at Lincoln she kept speaking, "Because there are bigger things out there then just us, and if we can't work together then we are all dead."

I don't want to survive. I want to live.
O glared at the door before her, waiting while Murphy rustled around behind her. She hated the fact that they were locked in right now, and wondered how much trouble she would get into by trying to force the door open. Call it a test of the lock down features. Bellamy was talking about finding the key, and O's eyes widened. This was awkward enough without trying to talk to her brother while his lover had him handcuffed! "FIND SOMETHING, AND FIND IT NOW!" O hissed--loudly.
Finally Murphy told her she could stop glaring at the wall and she turned--DAMN MURPHY! Bell was still handcuffed and the sheet only just covered his junk! UGH! That was her brother!! O moved forward to jerk up the sheet A LOT before turning to DEATH GLARE at Murphy (because she couldn't look Bell in the face right now). "What sort of idiot handcuffs someone without knowing where the key is?!" She snapped, looking around the door. She had lived with Bell for 16 years without seeing any embarrassing parts of him--she wasn't going to break that record now.
She hadn't often liked Bellamy's lovers--Roma was a bitch, Bree was just annoying, Lilly was just too willing to be used and left behind--but at least none of them had ever tried to hang him! They had never tried to kill people!
