The Sky was Considering the polite nature and manners Alastor had grown up with, it only seemed natural to go around in a polite manner. Besides, there was no point in getting upset for someone else reaching out for the same book. After all, the brunet did have a hand in reaching for it around the same time the older male did. While it was true his mind was briefly distracted currently, Alastor couldn't help but find the situation rather humorous. It wasn't often that someone would find themselves in this situation. He couldn't necessarily remember a time where he encountered someone else reaching out for the same book. It was a nice feeling to find someone else who was just as interested as he was in the new people that had arrived.
Perhaps that was the reason why he was stirring with excitement at the given moment. Alastor couldn't remember the last time he could discuss a novel or even a topic that he was interested in. This could be his shot to finally talk to someone about this.
With all the time Alastor spent in the library, it wasn't surprising that he would find another book concerning space. "Really?" He flashed a grin, "There's quite a few here." His fingers lightly drummed against the cover of one of the books in his possession. It would be fun to speak about this with someone else. With excitement coursing through him, he couldn't prevent his smile from widening any further from Isaiah's teasing remarks. "You're right about that." He agreed, nodding his head.
As the two had walked over to the table, Alastor had went ahead and introduced himself-- almost forgetting to introduce himself for a second there. Walking over to the table, he was quick, and careful, to place his own books onto the table. Having them fall over on the table wasn't the impression he wanted to make, after all. Once the books were carefully placed on the table, Alastor had taken a seat near Isaiah and reached over for one of the books. "Ah, not enough to have a proper conversation, unfortunately." The brunet mused for a moment, lips drawn in a brief smile. "Have you talked to any of them yet?" | NOTES: I'm so, so sorry about the delay.

The Sky was It was strange how rapidly things were changing in Mount Weather.. one moment they were all heading off into their respective classrooms and now they were in midst of war zone. They could hear someone on the intercom announcing a few guards had been killed on one of the lower levels of the Mountain. Despite the heavy need for oxygen, the fourteen year old continued to push himself further as he ran through out the halls of Mount Weather searching for any signs of life. He managed to find some of the children from the numerous classrooms at Mount Weather, quickly leading them to a more safer room. It didn't sit well with him to leave them be, especially in the middle of a war zone that was going on in their home.
"Shush, just stay quiet." The fourteen year old whispered, donning a more hushed tone. There was no telling where any danger would pop up. As far as he knew, guards had been killed in the lower floors and something was still going on even now. Perhaps that would explain the tension clinging to him as he led the small boy, named Christoper, through the halls. It might have been the fear that he felt that made him want to move faster- those children needed to be found. He couldn't imagine what would happen if something were to happen to one of them. At the thought, he found himself picking up the younger child as he turned his frantic gaze around the hallway, searching for any other sign of life.
"Don't worry Christopher, we'll be alright." Alastor lightly reassured, only to fall silent in the next few seconds. They barely rounded the corner when he spotted a sole brunette lingering in the halls of Mount Weather. There was something about the brunette that left him wondering who she was- while that had been his first thought, he was more distracted by the thought of gathering all of the children he could possibly find. Admittedly, the fourteen year old was only trying to search for the children, it wouldn't stop him from helping out anyone else that needed it. He had given her a brief look over, but he didn't spot anything out of the ordinary. Then again, he was mainly checking for any weapons or something tying her to the chaos unfolding in the lower floors. With nothing immediately jumping out at him, he had been quick to offer her possible shelter. "Come on, you should come with us." Alastor suggested, a twinge of panic to be detected in his voice.
All he wanted to do at this point was to find Christopher some safety before someone else spotted them- someone bad. He didn't want to linger on that what-if any longer than necessary. "There's something going on here. We're not safe out in the open like this." Alastor hurriedly stated, more than a little eager to get out of here as soon as possible. There was a room they could hide in for the time being, somewhere safe to keep them from any danger. For the time being at least. Alastor wasn't sure how long this ongoing fight would continue, especially with the intercom no longer announcing what was going on in the lower levels. | NOTES: I figured I'd start it off a bit slow for now.

The Sky was Ironically, it might have been Alastor's height that led others to believe he was older than he looked, despite the boyish features he still had. Maybe it wouldn't hurt if he decided to drop the polite pretenses for once, formal speech wasn't something he was trying to make into a habit after all. As he pushed the thought aside, he gaze flickered over to his newfound companion, almost wondering if he had seen him somewhere before. Considering, how small of a community Mount Weather was that had to be the case. The only question was figuring out where he had seen him before.
While he was still a tad apprehensive about the older male, the fourteen year old found his guard lower when he spotted the smile on the other's face. Shaking off his thoughts, he offered a small smile back in return moments later. "No, it's fine. I'm sorry too." He apologized, all too aware that he had been a bit hasty in retrieving the book himself. Besides, there was something pleasant about someone else searching for the same book. Despite having a few friends his age, he hasn't met anyone remotely interested in the sky or anything dealing with the outside world. That might be a bit of a stretch. There were a few who were interested, but they weren't heavily invested in the tales the textbook described as much as he was. "Great!" Alastor pipped up, a bright smile settling on his lips. "I did pick up a few more books dealing with space stations earlier too, if you wanted to look at those."
Considering the numerous visits he made in the past month to the library, Alastor hadn't spotted many people making trips to the library. The only people he had seen was the usual small crowd of people that visited throughout the week, hardly anyone new. It didn't seem far fetched to think the older male in front of him was interested in the new comers as well. Of course, his only clue to this assumption had been the space station book he was reaching for a few moments ago. While there was a lot of interest concerning the new group that arrived, there wasn't much verbal excitement going on about them. He didn't see any point in hiding any curiosity concerning the teenagers the guards had found earlier in the week. Perhaps that explained why Alastor found it so easy for him to crack a smile once he heard an answer to his question. "I thought I was the only one." Alastor lightly joked, before turning his gaze over to the table he gestured to. "Yes, that would be great." The answer had been a quick one. There was no need to over think it, especially when an opportunity like this one didn't pop up often for him. "I'm Alastor, by the way." He hurriedly stated, almost forgetting to introduce himself. | NOTES: Sorry about the delay! Haha, Al is definetly eager to talk about the topic more. Aah, I didn't even realize I had a diff. theme for Al. |

The sky was Regardless of any intrigue Alastor held about the outside and the inhabitants, there was something terrifying about the announcement they had all heard on the intercom just moments ago. Try as his teacher might, a majority of the students in the small classroom had been taken by their parents or scattered off the moment they heard of the danger approaching them. Whether it was ironic or not, the fourteen year old had headed out of the nearly barren classroom, not wanting to be alone by himself. He wanted to see his father, but his thoughts told him he wasn't at home. No, his father was probably with the guard somewhere. A thought was overwhelming to linger on for a moment longer. The single thought that something could've happened to his father kept him pushing forward, swallowing down the heavy need for oxygen.
He shouldn't have rushed out of the classroom nor ran about the various levels of Mount Weather. No, he should have gone straight to his home and focused on that sole task. That should have been his main priority, but he couldn't stop himself from searching blindly for his father. He should be somewhere- on any one of these floors fighting some unknown enemy. That had been his initial motivation until he spotted smaller children searching for shelter. It.. didn't feel right to leave them be, not when they weren't aware of whatever danger they were facing right now. Surely, his father would be alright. Besides.. he was sure he would get an earful if he threw himself in the middle of the crossfire in his search for him. With the thought in mind, he found himself moving about the various levels in Mount Weather as he tried to help each child find shelter from the ongoing fight they were vaguely aware of. The fourteen year old had barely turned the corner and bolted down the hallway before he heard a pair of rushed footsteps behind him. He was half tempted to simply turn tail and run off again, but something kept him from running off. Despite the adrenaline coursing through his body, and fear, Alastor kept himself composed as he turned to see whoever had called out to him. A guard. Relief had instantly washed over him, quickly calming down whatever fear that previously taken hold of him. "I'm looking for the other kids." He answered, his reluctant gaze lingering on him for a moment. "Is.. everything alright or..?" He trailed off, not wanting to admit the chaos here might be bigger than they could handle.
Despite growing up in Mount Weather all of his life, Alastor had yet to meet all of the guards that protected their home. He had only met the few that his father was close friends with, namely a few of the more older folk. Honestly, the fourteen year old should have been more concerned by the new face he saw. Instead, he found himself growing calmer each second. In his eyes, the stranger he saw before him was just another one of the guards that protected their home- not someone he needed to be cautious of. "Did you come from.. one of the lower levels?" Alastor questioned, eyebrows furrowing whether it was out of confusion or concern he wasn't sure. "Is anyone else hurt?" He questioned, struggling to keep his own voice steady. | NOTES: Sorry about the delay!

The Sky was Under any other circumstances, Alastor would have been more docile when it came to his father's desires. However, the fourteen year old was full of rebelliousness and curiosity. He wanted nothing more than to see what was outside of Mount Weather- to see the sky. As much as he searched for that image he read described in books, he knew he wanted see it anytime in the near future. Not with his dad breathing down the words of the guards every other five minutes like a mantra.
Dreams about the sky wouldn't be diminished so quickly, but they merely had to be put away for the time being. At least until he figured more about what went on outside of Mount Weather. With the book held close to him, Alastor kept quiet as he waited for Bellamy's response. While, the older man wasn't his father, the fourteen year old still found himself a bit reluctant to fully be himself in his presence. The thought of his tardiness being told to his father had been the main reason he felt the need to keep up the polite pretenses, despite the small stir of rebelliousness he felt.
With the reassuring smile on Bellamy's lips, any tension that Alastor may have shown had seemingly vanished in the next few seconds. Ironically, any excitement seemed to disappear when he heard the word history and guard combined. That would be a long conversation that he didn't want to have- but there was nothing he could. Surely, it wouldn't be too bad. Maybe there was something he could learn from it. "From the very beginning?" Alastor questioned, hesitation appearing on his facial features. "It's.. a long sto- history, isn't it?"
As the fourteen year old walked beside Bellamy, he found his gaze flickering upwards as he heard his suggestion. ".. No, I haven't eaten anything yet." Alastor answered honestly, seeing no reason to tell a lie now. Getting some food before the long lecture would be nice, especially if the talk wouldn't be over soon. Besides, even if he were reluctant to admit it, talking with Bellamy was always nice. "Huh..?" His eyebrows furrowed slightly in confusion before a smile had finally settled on his lips. "Oh! It's about the Greek gods and goddess actually. Origin stories and a few other tales of their lives." He rambled briefly, "They have a few books about them in the library. I was planning on checking out the other ones later." | NOTES: Sorry about the delay!

Curious is my middle name |
words: tag: Isaiah Riggs notes: haha, don't worry it's great! I know, it's going to be exciting. |
It might have been the new arrivals that rekindled Alastor’s desire to learn more about the world outside of him. These people had lived up in space and outside Mount Weather. As far as he was considered, none of his people could set foot outside for reasons not disclosed to them. Not at least not any him or any of the other children were aware of. And that's where this thirst of the unknown had been created. Where it was once the ocean and mountains, it had diminished and was now replaced by thoughts of outside and space. He couldn't help but wonder what it would feel like to live the life they had-- to live in space. What an experience that would be. Whether he admitted verbally, or not, his growing curiosity for the new arrivals couldn't be satisfied by mere glances afar. He wanted to move past that and talk with them, to ask them about their experiences and how it was like to live in the places they had.
Considering he spent a majority of his life cooped up here, the only thing Al wanted was to learn more about the world outside. Granted, he couldn't experience it himself.. he could only live through the experience by words stories alone. That had been his main motivation for searching through several shelves of books and gathering a few that were of his liking. A majority of those books consisted of space and the world outside. While Al did read a great deal of the books here in the library, it was always nice to read through the books after the first read.
It was through this small wandering of the library that Al found himself moving closer to the glass case containing one of many space books. To be precise, it had been one that he had yet to read through. For a brief moment, he almost missed the older male beside him, reaching out for the same book in the glass case. Ironically, it might have been the fact Alastor was too caught up with his thoughts that he had only acted out of instinct. He merely reached a hand out and unlocked the small door connected to the glass case. "Oh, sorry." The fourteen year old spoke, his gaze flickering over to the older male for a moment. Maybe it had been the fact they were both reaching for the same book previously that he found in his hands currently. Mulling over his choices, Alastor turned his attention over to him before glancing at the book once again. "We could share the book if you want to read it too." He suggested, an uncertainty in his voice. A quick glance at the books in his hands was all it took for assumptions to begin popping up in his head. Almost immediately, his expression had turned into one of wonder and curiosity. "Are you interested in those new people too?" Alastor questioned hurriedly.

All Alastor wanted was to have a chance to do what he wanted for once, but it didn't seem like that particular wish would be granted. His father had made it clear he was going to prepare him for the cadet school for Mount Weather's security detail. This wasn't what he wanted. No, he wanted an opportunity to venture outside Mount Weather and see the sky. Would it be as beautiful as the pictures in the books he read? He could only hope he would live to see it one day. Despite that thought, he couldn't help but wonder how he would accomplish that dream of his. No one seemed able to go outside the doors of Mount Weather, besides the ground unit of Mount Weather's security. Straightening up his posture slightly as he was seated on one of the more isolated areas in the dining room, Al's gaze briefly peered at his surroundings for a moment. He could hear a few conversations going on in the distance along with the small clatter of utensils tapping against plates. Releasing a small breath, he shut the book in his hands and forced himself to stand up. There was no point in beating around the bush. It was either reporting to Bellamy or letting the elder track him down. Considering this was the second week of their meeting, any hideouts Al previously had were discovered. Then again that had been the library for him. It was better to simply meet him half way and take it from there. Initially, Al had planned on delaying the pending meeting further but he settled on heading over to Bellamy's room fifteen minutes after the appointed meeting time. With all things considered, he didn't need his father hovering over him about his lack of appearance today. He didn't have the heart to disappoint his father. Not when he was the only family member he still had. Hopefully Bellamy wouldn't mind the tardiness, but there was no way to guarantee that. Tucking the Shakespearean book beneath his arm, he raised a closed fist to knock against the closed door before him. " I'm not too late, right?" Al questioned nervously, eyebrows furrowing at the thought. " I got a bit side tracked earlier." He explained, glancing down at the book in his possession. Who was he kidding--- that excuse wasn't going to hold. He used that excuse with his father before and it was never bought. Straightening up his posture slightly, Al's gaze flickered away from the book to peer at Bellamy. " What did my father.. say we had to do today?" He questioned uncertainly. With his father's fondness for the Mount Weather security, there was little reason to believe it wouldn't be something dealing with that again. At least he hadn't pulled some strings to place him into the cadet school beforehand. That was a relieving thought. Tag: Bellamy Blake

If anyone's interested, feel free to send a PM or comment below.
Affiliation: Mount Weather, Mountain Men || Orientation: Confused || Age: 14, transitions to 15 || Student
Friends: Considering his fondness for reading, Alastor is more or less the more sensible type when it comes to most things. To be more precise, he's more calm in the presence of someone he's chatted with various times. It'll often reach the extent where he doesn't mind joking around with them. This will often lead to more conversations in the future. While they may be friends, Alastor isn't inclined to giving away his thoughts or emotions in their presence. He may not feel as close to them as he does with people he considers his best friends.
--- This role is unfilled.
Close Friends: Given his fierce loyalty towards loved ones, there's little doubt that Alastor wouldn't go the extra mile for someone that becomes exceptionally close to him. This will often lead to the brunet following along with his friend's whims, regardless of how questionable it may seem to others. Honestly, all he needs is someone to chat with and simply spend time with. Considering how strict his father is, Alastor wants to finds a close friend he can simply talk to without being judged for his thoughts. That's all he's asking for really. If it's someone he can grow comfortable with as well, he's not complaining.
--- This role is unfilled.
Romantic interests: In regards to romance, Alastor can't say it's something he's thought about before. With all things considered, it's safe to say he pulled himself away from the possibility of any romance that could prove fruitful in the future. His father's death has left him incredibly confused and hesitant to draw closer to anyone else. What if he lost them too? He couldn't bear that thought becoming a reality. Romance isn't much of an option with Al here.
----This role is unfilled.
Enemies: Despite his young age, Alastor's temper can be described as the silence before the storm. This might explain when it comes to enemies, he doesn't show them his anger until it's grown to tremendous heights. He has a tendency to bite his tongue when he's still relatively calm. However, if it's allowed to fester and grow, Alastor's inclined to fight back without thinking, giving the brunt of his harsh words to anyone that spites him or his loved ones. Unless it's someone with more authority, like his father, he's likely to keep the remarks to himself.
--- This role is unfilled.
|| PLOTS || X --- Mount Weather Arc: With members of the hundred being brought in to Mount Weather, Alastor was one of the first to stir with liveliness. Despite any biting remarks from his father, the brunet couldn't stop his curiosity from growing further. He needed to see them, to talk to them. He couldn't let this chance of knowing about the world outside of Mount Weather pass him by. With that thought in mind, he couldn't stop himself from trying to reach out to some of the members in the hundred. It wouldn't hurt to talk with them, right? Besides, his father didn't have to know about this.

" Do you think... I could see what's out there with you one day?" | ~ • ~ | Character Basics | ~ • ~ |.:Name:.Alastor Heron .:Nick Name:. Al .:Affiliation:. Mountain Men .:Age:. 14 transitions to 15 by season two. | ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. Standing at 5'4, Alastor's body can be described as slim and lanky at best. Considering his whole life was spent inside Mount Weather, his skin is rather pale with a hint of freckles along his cheeks and shoulders. His eyes have a small roundness to them and are often described as expressive despite the tired look contained within them. Ironically, there's a liveliness in his eyes when some of the hundred were brought to Mount Weather. His lips are often pursued in a dimpled smile or smirk a majority of the time. Alastor's hair is a dark brown color that resembles more of a raven color than brown actually. Typically, Alastor's hair often appears unruly or messy due to his habit of constantly running his fingers through his dark locks. A majority of Alastor's body does have a few scars scattered, though there's a few noticeable ones on his upper back and hands. Whether he admits it or not, most of these scars are a result of his clumsiness . It's a habit of his to not pay much attention whenever he's reading during one of his walks. .:Height:.5 feet 4½ inches .:Portrayed by:. David Mazouz | ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. Alastor can come across as rash and proud at times, especially when it comes to fighting and protecting someone by his own power. The man doesn't enjoy relying on someone else's power to help himself or others. He prefers doing things out his own will power and strength. However, he will recognize his own weaknesses and ask for help if it's desperately needed. Of course, Alastor might end up beating himself up if he has to rely on others help. After all, his immense desire to surpass his brother, Eton, and his father, Deimos's expectations, led him to try the very hardest to surpass any expectations thrown his way. Considering he spent his whole life in Mount Weather, he grew to be fairly observant of his surroundings. It was far too easy to pick up on everyone else's habits whenever he spent his time reading through the various books in the library. Ironically, Alastor tends to keep to himself a majority of the time. Despite picking up tidbits of conversations, any information he does overhear is ignored a majority of the time. While his loyalty would be a good thing, it can be quite terrible for him as well. He doesn't see any reason to doubt those that gain his loyalty. In fact, he's the type to remain immensely loyal to someone, to the extent of ignoring their wrongdoings. He'll often turn a blind eye and act as if he can't see the obvious faults in those he trusts. An example of this would be this strained loyalty to his father, Eton, who he can't seem to say no to. This is why he'll often find himself tired emotionally at times. Now, when it comes to individuals Alastor is close to, he has little hesitation in showering them with affection. He doesn't see any reason to hide his emotions for someone. After all, he's just expressing what he feels. While this is true, the death of his father had left him increasingly reluctant to show such a thing recently. It might have been his father's consistent lectures that left more than a tad reluctant to open up to anyone else. .:Special Skills:. Observational skills, and drawing | cons | -- Fighting, authority, and first aid. | ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. Mount Weather. .:Family:. Eton Heron, father ( deceased), and Klara Heron, mother. .:Occupation:. Student. .:History:. Being born in Mount Weather, Alastor spent a majority of his time with his mother, Klara. While he did spend a few moments with his father, those moments had been a consistent statement on being more productive in their home on the mountain. Considering his father was a guardsman, he didn't need any further lectures to be told where he'd spend a majority of adolescence in the future. It would be cadet school once he reached the appropriate age for it. Honestly, that was the last thing he wanted to do. Alastor had dreams of seeing what was outside the doors of Mount Weather and learning about the world he only read in books. He wanted to see it all. However, his father's constant insistence of the guards kept those dreams in bay. For now, he could only read about that world just outside of his reach in books. It wasn't until the hundred were brought in that Alastor found himself growing restless to ask them questions. It was unbelievable that there were people living outside-- the same place he hoped to venture to one day. Despite the warnings he received from his father, the brunet held little hesitation in popping up in the dining room whenever someone from the hundred were there. This was his only opportunity to get some information pertaining to his dreams. He needed to know what was out there.
