Roma was irritated. And worse there was no source, so there was no outlet. There was only her. She woke up alone--of course she did. That was how she always woke up. He had to go to work and everything in the morning! The sun was too bright today, and she didn't want it on her face. The air in here was still and made it feel hot. The moment she woke up she felt tired and bothered. She had gotten sick again, and it made her feel weak. But not stay in bed weak, just too tired to do anything weak! Too tired to do anything, too restless to stay in bed--and no one around to take it out on.
That was until he came home. To his home, not her home. No, she was guest here. Granted it was her choice, he had laid everything out when he had come to her and asked for another chance--but right now that wasn't what was on her mind. NOPE! It was that this wasn't her home! He kissed her, and Roma didn't move. Just sat there on the edge of the bed, not feeling well. THEN he spoke! And everything she was feeling shot out in the conventant outlet he had given her. "Of course you do." SHe muttered, before reaching for her boots. She was leaving! HOW DARE HE!! She was a fucking gift and he rather go play in the mountain! Only it was one of his boots she had grabbed, an extra one he had thanks to the supply run. Frustrated she threw it at him before reaching for the other one to throw it too, before finally looking for her own boot.
"You do that! You go run the supplies!" She couldn't find her boots! WHERE THE HELL WHERE THEY!??! WHY DID SHE EVEN NEED TO GO?? "You know what . . .go! Get out! Go run your supplies! Go find new books to spend all night reading, or new . . . .whatever is important that we some how can't live without again!" Just go play king of the mountain and . . . . . WHERE THE HELL ARE HER BOOTS?

Roma stood there as he spoke about things he had never spoken of before. At least not to her. She watched the emotion on his face wavier and twist until the tear fell from his eyes, only for another one to fall. She felt her heart hurting for him, as she explained things that didn't made any sense too her, but perhaps they never would. How did he not see that more would have died? How did he not see that everyone owed him so much, and they loved him. They had not expected him to even do half of what he did. Her brows were bent, and she knew it was because her heart was breaking for him. For his pain. "Why do I deserve love when I've deprived so many other people of it." That was when she understood. That was the reason. Guilt. He felt guilty.
"You make me feel whole. You . . . saved my life, Roma." She inhaled at that, trying to keep her own composer. She had saved him? He saw that in her? She didn't want that responsibility! She loved him but she wasn't strong enough to be strong for them both! She was vein, and silly, and selfish and that worked for her! Bellamy had been the exception to her selfish behavior, but she didn't understand how that saved him? At the same time, his words . . . . meant the world to her. That he saw her in this manner, and that she was important enough to someone that they would need her in such a way . . . it was a feeling she'd never known. She wasn't sure what it was, but she didn't exactly hate it.
"And. sometimes I just don't feel like it's worth saving.""Bellamy," She said his name softly, and quickly to make him stop. She couldn't hear more! Not right now! Not when it was affecting him so much! It hurt too much. She didn't like seeing him hurt! It was hurting her to not run to him, and hug him. To not just hold him. But what would happen when things changed again? Would she be standing here once again? When did she stop the pattern? "Everyone is worth saving. If coming down here has taught me anything, it was that everyone is worth saving." She took a few more steps closer to him and looked up into his face. It took everything to not reach out and hold him. But she meant her words. Everyone was worth saving--even herself. "I'm not trying to hurt you, Bellamy. You're hurting and the only thing I want is to hold you but every time I do I brace myself and wonder . . . . what about next time? What if--" Please never let this happen! "--what if I got pregnant? What if that makes you feel whatever the hell you felt three days ago? You loving me, is everything I have wanted from you . . . but I have twice felt your rejection, and I am afraid of a third. How do we get past this?"

"I am afraid," He told her and and Roma didn't under stand why! Why was he afraid? He had lost his mother, but who had not lost someone? He still had his family, he still had so much! Where did this fear, a fear so strong that he would lash out at her come from? "So damn afraid." Yeah, well so was she! Only he had made her like this because he was like this! "Because, I've never felt this way. And I don't know . . . how to be with someone. How to let them be with me. When I know, it won't be easy for them." He was wrong. It had been easy. It was easy in the mornings to wake up and see him there, and watch him sleep. It was easy to go back to his place and crawl into the bed, and for him to read the book with all the weird names and words aloud. It was easy to crawl into his lap and distract him. It was easy to laugh with him, and easy to find herself smiling when he came into the room. The only hard part had been getting kicked out!
"But I want to be with you." Roma looked away from him, unsure what she wanted right now. She loved him, but he had hurt her. And callously too. He had known how he felt, and he had to have some idea of how she felt. Yet he he had still done it. "Truly, be with you. If you'll let me." There were no windows in her place, but she suddenly wish there was so she could look at something besides him. Because this wasn't going to end well. "If you can give me another chance." That was what this came down too. Could she risk it? Could she take that step and trust him again? She knew he'd never let anyone hurt her. If grounders charged in right now, she knew he'd protect her--because he did that for everyone. But to let her guard down. To open herself up to him . . . she was afraid.
"If you want the same thing." THAT wasn't what this was about! It was unfair for him to try and make this about 'if she wanted him' so if she said she couldn't it could feed into something that this wasn't meant to be! He had said everything right until that moment! That one line, angered her! "This isn't about if I want the same," She told him, looking back at him. "I love you but I don't trust you with it." With her love. "You broke my heart, Bellamy, and did it the same way twice. I let you in, and knowing that you have the power to hurt me . . . I don't like it. You say you afraid but I don't understand it!" What made him so afraid? "I don't understand why the idea that anyone getting close to you sends you into a panic? You face down grounders every time you walk out the gates, and you're calm and scary--but when you realize someone is getting too close you are afraid? Why?" She needed to understand before she could move on---IF she could move on. He had lost his mother, but where did the fear come from? There?

"You're right," At least they were in agreement about something! "I got attached, and I kicked you out." Saddly it wasn't agreement she was after! It was an end to her pain, and she wasn't sure she could find it here. He had done this too her twice, when he said he had feelings for her. "I'm, not an easy person to be with." That was a understatement! "I've . . . done things. Things that make me a monster." The pain in his face stole a lot of her anger, and she could only stare at him. He was so strong, and had stayed so strong for so long that sometimes you could almost forget that he was still hurting. She knew he struggled under the weight in the beginning, but the way he looked now . . . .
"People justify it for me. Tell me I did what I had to do, but that doesn't change the fact that I did it." He saved them, but he never looked at only the people he saved. He couldn't let go of the ones he had killed. She wanted to hold him. She wanted to keep him safe but she was scared he'd only hurt her again. Maybe not today, or tomorrow, or even this year. One day she'd wake up and he'd realize this was too much and he'd send her on her way again.
"I found peace with you. Something I never thought possible." Roma closed her eyes and lowered her face, trying to hold onto her anger. It was all she had left. "Something I don't deserve." Her head shook slightly from disagreement, but she still said nothing. "I hurt the people I love, and I'm scared for what that means for you." Her face jumped back up to his, as he said the last line. "Because I love you." And she didn't realize she had taken a step backwards until she felt the wall she had been close to touch her back. Leaning on it, because she didn't trust her knees to hold her up. He loved her. She had been 16 when she fell in love with him, and now after everything between them he wanted to say it! After making her afraid to let him close again, he wanted to drop this bomb and wait for her to deal with it?! Part of her hated him! She loved him but she hated him! . . . . . or at least hated the choices he was making.
Coming to her and saying HAHA this was a joke, would have hurt less because then he was just an ass hat! Now he was the ass hat who was giving her everything she would have begged for, only after making her afraid to trust it! She couldn't speak for a long moment. She wasn't even sure what was on her face. Panic, fear, anger, bitterness, pain. Who knew at this point! She had never held any of his mistakes over him. He had been a 'could do no wrong' man to her. But this . . . this was wrong. "You hurt the people you love." She repeated his words, her voice sounding lost rather then angry. Standing from the wall she looked at him in the eyes, and stepped a few steps closer. "That's a choice you make, Bellamy. Not something that just happens. You decided that it was easier to send me away rather then deal with things. . . And you know, after your mother died, I could even understand it. I never held it against you. You were hurt, and I accepted things . . . . but then again, it's happened. You close yourself off behind this wall, and you become untouchable . . . and maybe that is your way of dealing with things, but you need to sort that out! You're too afraid to let people in, but you can't keep people out either. You're heart isn't that cold Bellamy."
But her's was going to be if she let him keep on. Roma looked down for a moment before she looked back at him. This time she returned his own words to him. "You scare me, Bellamy, I am standing here braced for what comes next. You say all the right things I am too afraid to risk it again. because you are the only person with the power to hurt me. And you didn't hesitate to do it." Which she why she really had to ask, "What do you want from me? What do you expect to happen now?" She was accusing him, or yelling it in anger. She just needed to know why he decided to do this. Was he just explaining things, did he hope she'd jump back in to his bed as if nothing happened? Was he asking for a relationship, or did he even know what he wanted?!

He didn't look at her at first, but when he started speaking he did. She hated it when he didn't look at her, she had never seen him not look at someone until he did it too her. "You scare me Roma," For a moment her face froze, and shifted to surprise. She didn't believe him, but hearing him say it surprised her. He faced down 100 grounders at once! Went into Mount Weather alone! The hell her throwing a book at his head was going to do anything but annoy him! "My whole life has been about protecting the people that I care about." Her brows bent, the anger returned. Back to his sister. It was always about his sister! She knew he loved her, and she envied that (not the relationship specifically, but the general idea that someone could love someone so much they'd shoot a chancellor and go to Earth for them); while she didn't believe in fairy tales, that was the close as she had ever seen.
"I could never let myself be with anyone because of it." This she knew. She even understood why on the Ark he couldn't be with anyone! The secret had literally gotten his mother killed, and them sent to Earth. "And then you came along." That caused her to grow still once again, and just stare at him. She hadn't expected that. That suggested things. And apart of her was angry at the suggestion, and the other part hurt rather then joyful, which is what she would have been last week if he said the same words to her. "And it just, scares me. At how easy and comfortable and . . . natural it feels to be with you." She knew the feeling. He didn't scare her--or well he didn't, he did now since she knew how easily he could and would hurt her--but the comfortable part. The natural part.
Roma's eyes lowered, as she didn't look at him as he spoke. She hadn't liked who she was on the Ark, and had used him (and others) to try to get ahead, and be someone else. Yet, it had changed. She had stopped using him, and just started being with him. It had gone from her enjoying an officer, to her having fun with Bellamy. He had even become more important then her changing who she was; and the day she realized it was the day he kicked her out! "Because I don't ever want to lose you." Her eyes closed at his words, because they hurt to hear.
He cared about her . . . and he'd done it anyway. That made this whole thing worse, rather then better. She looked to the side wall, trying to think of something to say, before she could force herself to look back up at him. "I know I am a bit slow sometimes, but the logic just isn't there, Bellamy." She told him, and while her voice was angry, it wasn't yelling. A slight improvement. "Where I come from when you don't want to lose something, you do things to protect it . . . like facing your fear of the woods to go help find it's sister . . . not humiliate it by kicking it from your bed, and out of your life . . . twice."
"I have always played by the rules you set between us. I never bitched about wanting more, I was accommodating. . . . But the difference is, when I broke the rules and fell in love with you, I stood by you and enjoyed what we had . . .. You got attached and decided the best way to deal with was to kick me out! That don't say I don't want too lose you."

She exhaled when he pulled out of her, and felt the loss of his weight as he rolled away. Roma turned to rest on her side while facing him, taking in his features. Soft moments hadn't really been her style--or even who they were together, but she could see his pain. Actually see it! It almost soaked into her body from it. "You should go." He told her, and Roma frowned, not understanding the words. Did he need to be alone? He wasn't the type to share his emotions, and she respected that. She wasn't either. It had been physical between them but he had still managed to get to her. Turn her head. Make her love him.
Her hand moved out to brush his hair back, and then drop to rest on his shoulders. It never once occurred to her that he wanted her to really leave. "I can stay," She said softly, wanting him to know she was here to help him. "We don't have talk, I can just lay here with you." It was telling of her to offer event this much, as Roma avoided things like this. Moving to rest her head near him shoulder, she planned to stay there and just hold him. Give him the time he needed to deal with what had happened. Tomorrow they would figure everything else out. She'd tell him she loved it, and he would know he had not lost everything. Tomorrow would be soon enough for all that.
She never thought things wouldn't work out that way.

Well at least he was looking at her now! Whatever had gone through his head the other day where he wouldn't even look at her was gone! Roma shifted her weight backwards as she stepped a few steps from him, with her hands on her hips. Her body almost vibrated with the anger that come off her. And it wasn't that she was an angry person! She wasn't! She was hurt! But she wasn't the type to fall into a depression when her heart was broken. She wasn't the type to pine over the man who'd never love her, or wear her broken heart openly with tears on her eyes. She directed everything else she felt into the only emotion she knew how to handle--anger. The humiliation of rejection. The broken heartedness of being cast out. The missing what she might have never had. It all channeled into her anger. "You're right," That she knew! "But not here," The hell she was going back to his place ever again! Her eyes flashed daggers at him, until he spoke again. "Let's go to your place." Her place! Right! Cause she wasn't going to ruin her stuff by aiming it at him!
Giving him a wide side step she walked past him to the bucket of water and washed off her hands, rubbing at the dirt on her face too, before drying them both. Part of her wished she was in a damn dress so he could see what he was never getting again, but she wasn't about to dress up for him now! No matter how hot he still looked in that jacket and shirt that was just on the edge of too tight and his stupid hair, and his stupid face!
Roma turned from the water and started walking to the fallen Ark which now housed a lot of the single room homes. One of which was her own. Mostly unused until recently, but she had still made it look like home. The trips to mount weather had collected clothes, and other things needed, and Roma had collected what she could. She said nothing until she got to her place, and pushed open the door. He could shut it behind him. Roma moved to stand toward the back of the room, hoping he'd stay at the door. This was a smaller room, and there was no table int he middle, only a fold out one from the wall, which was tucked up right now. The bed was along the side, and the rest of her place had rope going from wall to wall and clothes that she had gotten hung from it. She stared at him, expectantly. Waiting. . . . . No! The hell she was waiting on him! "Twice, Bellamy! Like it wasn't even an original move!" At least he hadn't taken her first this time!

Roma was kneeling on the ground while pulling up a cabbage. She lifted a hand to wipe her face, and she could feel the dirt on her skin. This was the part she hated! With the real source of her anger not before her, she took it out on the dirt. After her temper tantrum, she stood up just as a voice came from behind her. "Can we talk in private?" NNNNNOOOOO!! Roma felt herself grow still from the audacity that he had to walk up and ask to speak with her after refusing to even look at her! She knew him too well to call him a coward but in that moment he had acted like one! She wasn't a violent girl, but he made her want to hit him! Hurt him the way he wouldn't let anyone get close enough to hurt him! Only his sister!
Slowly she turned to look at him. Yeah, she'd missed him . . . but he was closer now, and a cabbage wasn't as heavy or hard to throw as a book! Roma was surprised at how easy it was the throw--Maybe she was getting better throw practice. Her eyes looked around to see if anyone saw her, cause just as Roma loved people watching her get the guy--she wanted her vengeance seen as well. "I've nothing to say to you!" She bit out and turned to walk away, but she only made it a half dozen steps before spinning around and storming up to him. "You know what! I do have a few things to say to you!" She hissed out, "You owe me a damn explanation, Blake!" Her finger pointed at him, and she wanted to do something to shake his unwavering calm that Bellamy always seemed to wear! He walked around with his stupid jacket on like it was armor that would protect him from more then just an attack but from feeling! She had thought--foolishly--that she got to see under that but apparently she didn't know shit cause right when she had thought things were good, he was moving on!

The first night, a heart broken Roma cried. Someone had gone and got her stuff from Bellamy, but he still had a free small things at her place that she had either worn back or in the rare times they had stayed here were left. One of these things was his shirt. She had a few of his things piled up to give him back..... or throw at him. She wasn't sure which. Not on that first night.
She would figure it out her second night, when she would burn it. Roma was nothing if not vengeful about carrying a few of his things to the fire pit and tossing what she could in one at a time. Miller, Bellamy's annoyingly loyal friend, stopped her from burning the rest and she assumed he took the test back to Bellamy. Roma called him a sheep. She didn't blame Miller, but that second night she had been done crying and all she had was her anger.
Her next few days passed with a pattern, with her going to work her shift in the morning, and staying home the rest. Roma had never liked staying home, she had always been a social creature! Going out and seeing people, and in turn being see by people, was who she was. She liked to go out and talk, gossip, and flirt! When she spent to long alone or in her own head she didn't feel good. Yet, just as she had last time he'd kicked her naked out of bed, she'd not felt like going out. It hurt to admit, but she missed him. She had never followed the complicated plots of his books, but when he read the boring things allowed she had loved the timber and tone of his voice. She missed stealing good jacket when she got cold and they were hanging out at the fire pit at night. She missed when it was just them, and he'd make her laugh. She missed making him laugh!
Yet, Roma was prideful, and not in a present way, so she'd cut her hair before admitting anything.

He said nothing. NOTHING! Roma shifted her feet for a moment while waiting but the longer he said nothing the more she realized the bastard was doing it to her again! "You're shitting me!" She yelled at him, staring him down! Oh course though, he wouldn't look at her! No! Not Bellamy fucking Blake! "You ass hat! Really? Again!? Like what . . . the first time wasn't fun enough?!" She reached over for the first thing she could find--a book about something or some old crap! She didn't care! It was heavy! Roma chucked it at his head! Before waiting to see if landed she grabbed a boot and sent it following him! "Don't even look at me while you do it! Just stand there and expect me to crawl out out of your bed AGAIN with no pride, and---" A broken heart! OH SHIT! HE'D DONE THAT AGAIN TOO!
Roma took a deep breath when she realized that she wasn't hurt because he was kicking her out, but because he was leaving her. The hurt fueled her anger. She turned to grab something else and threw it too. Walking up to him she tried to push at him wishing she could slam him against the walls and hurt him like he hurt her! She knew they had different feelings for each other and she hadn't cared! He was honest with her and had given her what he could and she had loved it! BUT THIS! THIS WAS BULL SHIT! "Go float yourself, Blake!" She yelled and grabbed some of her stuff, only to throw that at him too. Anything she passed on the way out--a chair, the table, anything, it got flipped over or pushed at him. She was pissed!
Once she was out of the room, she started running down the hall. She had not even bothered picking up the rest of her clothes or even her shoes. She would ask Alice to go get it later! Right now she was humiliated and heart broken and pissed as hell! She just wanted away from him!

"Why, you want me to wash yours for you?" he teased, and Roma looked up at him with eyes wide as she clearly mentally attempted to find a polite way to back track! What if he didn't get it all out, or didn't rub it into her scalp?! What if he missed a spot?! She couldn't leave that in it would do damage! After he spoke again she relaxed, seeming to understand he was teasing--she hoped. Roma hadn't grown that much! "But hey, if you want to . . . go for it." He allowed, and she smiled brightly.
While she might be high maintenance, she wasn't hard to please! She had never asked for grand gestures, or promises. She had never asked for gifts, or things he couldn't give. Roma just wanted his time and attention, and when she got it she lit up! "Oh, I have other places I would rather you wash!" She teased back, as she walked along with him. When they got to the changing room, she pulled off her shoes, and sat them on a bench. She loved shoes! They were so pretty and she wasn't going to get these wet!

Bellamy's eyes moved over her--or started too before something passed in them and he grabbed her clothes and tossed them at her. "Get dressed. You need to leave." He said, while starting to move her things around and . . . was he piling her shit up? Roma didn't move at first, ad his voice from before came back to her. "You should go." Her heart beat in a painful rhythm, as she begun to process what he was telling her. Only this time it was worse because she knew there was nothing leading up too it. Then again, the last time she hadn't thought there was either until he had FUCKING KICKED HER OUT OF HIS BED!
Sitting up slowly, Roma pulled on her shirt. Shirt, it was humiliating to be kicked out of someone's bed--and the second time around only made it worse. Pulling on her pants she stood up, still in a bit of shock as she stared at him. What was happening Here? Was this a joke? Like some joke where she walked out and there was a sign that said something sickeningly sweet and pointless? "Bellamy . . . . what the hell?" She asked in a confussed tone, needing him to spell it out to her. Was he . . . . was he about to kick her out of his bed twice?

Roma was in one of the best highs of her life after coming from stolen 'times' with Bellamy. She couldn't even recall why she had sought him out! Best idea ever! He was kissing her again, which distracted her from any thoughts of even trying to remember why she was looking for him. He suggested she led the way and she smiled at him. "Maybe I like it when you led the way," She teased him, "The view is so good!" And it was! The man had an ass on him that she would follow anywhere! Maybe it was vein of her, but she didn't care! She liked her men sexy, and she wanted them to think of her in the same way!
Bellamy had always been the one she was drawn too more then the others. Ever since he got her into that dance, she had always been drawn to him. He'd been a few of her firsts, and she had been at least one of his. She knew this wasn't a relationship, but honestly he could not call it whatever he wanted as long as they had their fun! Moving from him, she grasped his hands and took a few steps away to begin pulling him. Once he walked with her she fell into her accustomed place beside him. "Can I wash your hair?" She asked with a tease, as even on the Ark she had loved touching his hair and washing it.

Roma woke up alone, but that wasn't new. Bellamy often started the day before she did--and as she kept him up late she often slept in to make up for it. Smiling she got up, dressed and out to the garden where she worked a short shift. As a farm station girl, she found her place here--which was ironic as she had tried really hard to escape it. After mount weather though, she had found comfort in what she had knew. Sometimes she hated it, she hated the dirt and the hard work, but the first few months on the ground had helped her over come that by miles.
After a morning of work, she showered and then went back to to bed, not even thinking how she always went back to Blake's bed. It had been so long since she even went to her own bed. Curling in naked, she would just let him find her that way. That was always fun. The blanket draped over her hips, but her back was bare as she layed on her belly. Sometime later she was awakened with her name rather then a kiss. "Roma?" Blinking awake, she smiled a sleepy smile before rolling over to her side and propping up on her elbow. "Officer," She greeted, an invitation clear in her tone.

"Lucky we didn't rip it," Be teased her, and Roma gave him a half playful glare, as if to warn him against even trying. She was still too pleased with him to give him anything but a playful glare. Still, the damage was done as the dress would be covered with his sweat and smells of sex. Her legs finally touched the ground, and she took a moment to make sure they were steady before looking back up at him. "And hey to you too," He teased before kissing her again. Roma smiled through parts of it, while her hands tangled into his damp curls, before he pulled away. Her eyes lowered to watch him tuck himself into his pants, and fasten them up.
Fluffing out her dress she smiled a satisfied smile before brushing her hands over her dress. Perhaps it had been the time on the ground that made her more inclined to not freak out over the dress, or perhaps he had just screwed her senseless. Either way she stretched her arms down, before reaching to playfully tug on his pants. "I need to change clothes now, but I should shower first or I will smell like you all day." Showers were one of her favorite rooms. "You could use one too." Since he was sweaty and . . . hot. "Maybe we could save some water?" Roma didn't care about the water levels, she just liked the excuse. Her fingers tucked into his pants and she used the fact that she couldn't pull him unless he let her to her advantage, and pulled herself closer to him. She liked it here! Tucked into his arms, and safe from the world. Even on the Ark it had been her favorite place. Which was what had gotten her into trouble.
