The formal tone he heard from Lieutenant Emerson had been enough to convince Leon that any casual tone would be quick to be dismissed. What a shame that was going to be. After all, he was fond of having a little bit of fun on the job, though that would prove to be difficult if Emerson was so against the idea. Being a major pain in the ass wasn't on his agenda, especially on the first day, yet the temptation had already creeped into his head. Maybe not completely, but it was still possible to sneak some mischief without exposing himself into the dangers of scolding and heavy lectures. "Yes, Sir." Leon pipped up, his lips settling in a polite smile at the higher up.Despite the dedication he placed in the guard, Leon wasn't the most compliant being in the world. The correct term would be passive. He didn't want to deal with his father's ongoing complaints on why he didn't join the guard and make something of himself. This wasn't his life long goal that he wanted to accomplish. No, he wanted to save people alongside doctors. However, his mother's sickly nature kept him compliant with his father's wishes, which might have been obvious. No one spent that much time in the guard if they weren't remotely interested in it. "What's on the agenda for today?" Considering Leon was coming in blind to the guard, he did go around earlier to chat with a few of the newest privates. He learned there was a good chunk of them that did the grunt work for the others. Actually, that wasn't precise either. They mainly fetched coffee for any higher ups among other things. That didn't seem too interesting, but any complaints needed to be silenced now. He couldn't ruin his position all in one day, after all. He needed to keep his image up. Turning his attention over to Emerson, Leon could only offer a nod of his head as he silently listened to the older man's words. No coffee run apparently, which was nice, but it didn't explain what task they would be handling. "When do we start, Sir?" Leon questioned, shaking off the temptation to fall back in his casual ways. Formality needed to be maintained-- for now at least.Note: it'll be fun seeing how they deal with each othertagged: iah2

Living his entire life here had practically made the Mountain Men a close knit community. After all, everyone knew each other here. Perhaps that was the main reason why he pushed himself to speak to the hundred that had arrived just a few days ago. With his previous position as he guard, there was little he could to shake off the desire of knowing the group that had arrived. Granted, most of that feeling was being driven by curiosity more than anything else.
After beckoning for Bellamy to move closer, it was difficult not to notice the way the younger man watched the teenagers. So, he was more or less one of the leaders of the pack. He remembered hearing someone from the guard mentioning another individual, a blonde. While it would have been great to learn more, Leon pulled himself away to focus on his daily tasks for the day.
"Leon, but feel free to call me Leo." Leon casually replied, hardly ceasing his actions. The quicker he served the food, the faster everyone else could eat tonight. There were a lot of mouths here to feed. Exchanging a few pleasantries with a few of the Arkers, the twenty five year old finished up the current plate he was working on before setting on the table. Gesturing for anyone to take up the plate, soon continuing on to the next one. However, he found his gaze flickering over to Bellamy as he grew distracted. "Really? I didn't think anyone else knew about this place." Leon remarked. They weren't announcing it per say. With a few more plates being finished and setting them out before him, Leon grabbed a one before beginning to prep it with a variety of food. "Does there have to be a reason for saving someone?" Leon questioned, raising a brow as he sneaked a quick glance at Bellamy. Given all the ruckus with everyone else, it only made sense to save someone one else, especially with everything that went on recently. Of course, there was that and the simple fact the Grounders had attacked them, prepared to engage in some ongoing war with the Hundred. The answer seemed simple enough- they couldn't let them die. Shaking off away his thoughts, Leon turned his gaze over to Bellamy briefly. How much did he know about them? "Well, I don't know much beyond what was going on with the grounders." Leon answered truthfully.

Given his options, Leon had his suspicions he wouldn't be leaving any time soon unless some questions were answered. While he did leave the guard, it didn't take a genius to figure out they were, essentially, in trouble. One simple glance at the stranger before him proved that question correct. "Yes, I left the guard awhile back." Leon answered, not bothered to go into details pertaining to that memory. The quicker he answered, the faster he could go find the kids and other civilians. Something told him the former would be the most difficult part, especially with all ruckus going on in the lower levels.
For a second, not a single peep had escaped the cook's mouth as he heard stranger's words. He was looking for the children- why? With the chaos going on outside, some skepticism was only natural especially with the way the guard was fretting about their home. Instead of offering a verbal reply, Leon kept quiet as he watched the weapon being lowered, no longer aimed in his direction. "Then, why are you here?" He questioned, only to have his answers moments later.
As much as he wanted to remain skeptical about this, there was no time to be thinking this over. Finding everyone else came first, especially with the fighting going on outside. With the intense look in the stranger's gaze, Leon find himself reeling back for a moment, wracked with stubbornness and impatience. While he wasn't too keen on accepting the proposition right away, this was the only way he could get out of the room. And the faster he did that, the better. "Alright, alright." He grumbled out tiredly, forcing himself to ignore the worst case scenarios running round in his head. "I'll take your word then- I'll help you." Leon finally answered, "We need to start moving then. Otherwise, we won't be able to find anyone."

Leo never planned on being a part of Mount Weather’s security detail. No, he had his own dreams he wanted to accomplish. Unfortunately for him, his father had been quick to enlist him in the cadet school. From there, the young brunet couldn’t do much besides going through with it. There was that and the simple fact his adventurous personality clashed badly with his father’s need for control and stability. Either way it was far too late to even consider backing out of the guard now. Besides, it wouldn’t hurt him to actually give this a shot for once. Who knows the experience could be a good one for him. It would give him a good chance to figure out how things worked here. Despite his entire life being spent in Mount Weather, he still needed to learn more about the place. This was his home. What better way to learn about than on the job? He was bound to explore more locations now that he gained a decent position in the guard.
Fixing the sleeves of his uniform, Leo had only given the reflection in the mirror one last glance before slipping out of his room. Whistling a small tune in midst of his walked, he couldn’t help but wondered what today would be like. It was his first official day on the job, after all. From what his superior told him, he was reporting directly to Lieutenant Emerson for the start of his on the job training. He had seen the older man around before, of course, but there was never much words exchanged between the two previously. Well, until today anyways. Despite the desire to make an attempt to settle into this new environment, Leo couldn't promise he would be the most pleasant person to work with. Yes, he was capable of following orders and using his mind to get to the bottom of things-- but his need for entertainment wasn't an easy thing to satisfy. Not when everything in Mount Weather had become relatively normal to say the least. Fortunately, this was a change of scenario for him.
Wordlessly, Leo had stepped inside the appointed room for the guards, his gaze flickering around the room briefly. It wasn’t until he spotted sandy brown haired lieutenant that the brunet had approached him. “I was informed I had to report to you for my responsibilities here.” Leo stated, the temptation to say more lingering on his lips. “Right, I’m Leon Cosmo, or Leo if we’re allowed to be casual. Anyways, it’s my first official day on the job.” He quickly piped up, lips pursued to a polite smile. Pleasantries needed to be exchanged. He wouldn't hear the end of it if he offended Lieutenant Emerson on the first day. Maybe.. he could still have his fun if he played his cards carefully. That would be a fun scenario to imagine. "So, do you have any tasks for me to take care of right now?" Leo questioned, deciding to tackle the job aspect of things first. He would have his fun sooner or later.

Things had gone chaotic in Mount Weather the moment news of the hundred killing their people had been announced. Not to mention, there was also Grounders outside, threatening to barge in and hurt them all. Unlike the other adults, Leo was quick to rush out of the dining hall to make his way to the other side of the floor. He'd be damned if he didn't try to find out where the children were first. Maybe Al would know. He wouldn't put it past the fourteen year old to cut class occasionally. Sneaking a brief glance behind him, he made a quick turn to the right in the next hallway and knocked on the door pertaining to the child. His eyebrows furrowed slightly at the silence afterwards. “Kid, are you there? This is serious. Something’s going on.” Leo whispered hurriedly, knocking once more only to be met with silence.
Despite the thought of being rude, Leo barged in the room without a second thought. His gaze quickly swept across the room as the lights flickered on revealing an empty room before him. Alastor was missing from the room. A small curse escaped his lips, his hand running through unruly brown locks as he turned to face the door. If he wasn't here then where was he? Could he be with the other children? Maybe one of the teachers had gone ahead and took the children somewhere more secure. Things hadn't gone to shit entirely. There was still a chance things hadn't gone bad just yet. Either way, that instinct to protect hadn't diminished despite his absence in the guard. Without a second thought, Leo had rushed down several hallways before stopping at his room. Leo had barely taken a single step inside when the door had opened, almost immediately his facial features had contorted with confusion. “Haven’t you heard about knoc--..” His words died off in his throat as he found himself staring straight at a tall stranger in Lovejoy’s uniform. He knew Lovejoy- and that wasn't him. Despite the confusion and fear, Leo kept himself calm as his gaze flickered between the gun aimed at him and the stranger in the guard uniform. Might as well speak up now, he had kept quiet long enough. “Leon Cosmo, former guard for this place and one of the cooks.” Leo answered calmly, debating if he should make a move or step back. Considering the grounders outside, it didn't seem like anyone in Mount Weather would be getting out safely. Nonetheless, something had to be done. It might have been the brief silence getting to him or even his concern for others that had him speaking up. “Okay, look.. I don’t want any trouble. You want something here, fine take it-- It’s yours. I just want to find the kids before something happens outside.” Leo hurriedly explained.

Surviving the nuclear war had been a miracle by itself, but that wasn't the true one here. Being able to survive all these years in Mount Weather had been the miracle by itself. The place was still running with water and electricity-- just enough to keep everyone functioning on a daily basis. With their population being relatively controlled, it wasn't long after that there were talks of welcoming any outsiders to settle in with them. They had the capacity to take in a few more individuals at best, after all. It was always interesting seeing the people that stumbled upon them, a few questioning their avoidance of the outside world. That was one talk that didn't warrant any answer from Mount Weather's inhabitants.
It might have been the fact Leo used to be a part of the security detail, at least that's what he wanted to believe, that he was placed on the welcoming committee for any of the newest residents of the Mount Weather. Granted, that included talking to anyone that did show interest in wanting to stay permanently or briefly. He always found it interesting learning about tose stumbles across them. All of the stories he heard about the outside were fascinating. Considering he couldn't leave the area, this was the only way he could learn more about what went on outside.
At the thought, the brunet's attention flickered over to the tall brunet nearby, who was lingering by one of the exiting doors in the kitchen. With a majority of the child, teenagers included, in class, there was little people moving about in the dinning hall at this hour. It was fairly early in the day from what he heard. However, he still needed to do his own duties and finish up prepping the food for lunch today. Ironically, there was only a few minutes until people came pouring in. That had been his intention when he gestured for the stranger to follow him fifteen minutes ago."You're.. Bellamy, right?" Leo questioned, lips pursued in a brief smile. He remembered overhearing someone mentioning a possible newcomer by that name. As far as he could tell, there wasn't any new visitors besides him today. It seemed safe to assume that was him.Adding in a bit more vegatables to one of the plates, his gaze flickered back to Bellamy for a moment. It wouldn't hurt to ask, right? "So, what brings you to our little domain?" Leo questioned, finally letting his curiosity get the best of them. " --Not that it's rare to get strangers occassionally" He quickly added, "It's just everyone who drops by always has a.. tale to tell. No pressure though, if you don't want to talk about it." Moving the finished plate to the left, he grabbed a fresh plate and began filling it up. " Right. Do you want some food? You should eat something now that it's warm." Leo offered, gesturing to one of the finished plates on the counter top. Tag: Bellamy Blake

" You're confusing me with someone who actually cares about your plan. Lock me up.. I don't give a damn at this point."| ~ • ~ | Character Basics | ~ • ~ |
.:Name:. Leon Cosmo .:Nick Name:. Leo .:Affiliation:. Mountain Man .:Age:. 25 | ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. Due to the rigorous training any guard has to go through, Leon's body is described as lean and muscular. His upper arms are toned, along with his torso, though his legs aren't terribly toned. However, he does have some muscles in his legs as well. The male's skin is rather light with a warm, golden undertone. His brown colored eyes have a noticeable roundness to them and are often described as expressive. His lips are often pursued in a dimpled smile or smirk a majority of the time, especially when he's conversing with friends. Leon's dark brown hair resembles more of a raven colored tone. His wavy hair falls over his ears and reaches mid-neck while his bangs happen to reach his eyebrows. Typically, his hair often appears unruly or messy due to his habit of constantly running his fingers through his dark locks. In case of a formal or public event, he'll often attempt to keep himself in a more presentable fashion- not that it works half of the time.
.:Height:. 5'11 .:Portrayed by:. Ezra Miller | ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |.:Personality:. Leon can be quite the adventurous and a highly imaginative spirit at times, though he'll often mask it behind a playful persona. For him, it's scary to reveal her thoughts so openly to other individuals. Therefore, his trust has to be earned before he'll even consider confessing his thoughts to someone else. Once this is achieved, he's quite open and easygoing -- seeing no reason to put a stop to the onslaught of words that escape his lips. Be aware that this includes fleeting thoughts concerning how the weather outside feels like among other things. If Leon was ever stuck in a situation where it was his life or someone else's, he wouldn't hesitate to save someone else's life before his own. In a sense, his own abilities has left him with the impression to place others before himself, often placing himself in unnecessary harm and reckless situations. This bad habit of his often leads him to picking up fights and involving himself in troublesome situations. Nonetheless, he doesn't see anything wrong with putting himself line on the line for someone else. It's only natural, after all. In fact, he can be quite stubborn when it comes to helping others as well. Truth be told, the brunet might distance himself purposefully due to his own insecurities concerning himself. Of course, he'll often lie and say there's nothing bothering him. Naturally, he does become vulnerable at times and his walls come crashing down. Whenever that occurs he can become quite emotional and try to create some distance between himself and anyone nearby, due to his desire to deal with it by himself and not be a bother to someone else. Regardless of his stubbornness, he's quick to open up about his feelings with someone he feels close to. .:Special Skills:. Photograph memory, first aid, and firearms combat | cons | initiative, navigation, and technology that's not his strong point | ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. Mount Weather .:Family:. Beniamino Cosmo, father ( alive ), and Elizabeth Cosmo, mother ( deceased ).:Occupation:. Mount Weather security detail, former. Cook, current occupation. .:History:. Being born in Mount Weather wasn't the most fascinating experience in the world, especially for Leon. There was very little say in what his dreams were during his adolescence. His father had made it obvious he would be a part of Mount Weather's security detail the second he was of age. His mother, tired of her husband's insistence, made no move to retract that particular remark. Despite his desire to helping other individuals, he was quickly placed into the respective classes for the security detail the second he reached the appropriate age. Throughout his early twenties he spent almost six years in the security detail, mainly monitoring the locations that was given to him. It was around this time that his mother had gotten sickly -- at least to Leon's knowledge. His mother had been among those that set foot outside Mount Weather's doors only to succumb to the radiation. It was after her death that Leon decided to ignore his father's wishes and retire from the security detail entirely. Despite the constant struggle to separate himself from them, he was quick to situate himself with the kitchen staff. Switching his job did take some struggling, but the end result had made it worth it at least. It wasn't until the arrival of the hundred that he found himself wishing he hadn't been so quick to act. Something.. was going on behind the scenes. | ~ • ~ | Member Info | ~ • ~ |.:Name or Online Alias:. Dragon .:How Did You Find Us:. Google
