Surviving the nuclear war had been a miracle by itself, but that wasn't the true one here. Being able to survive all these years in Mount Weather had been the miracle by itself. The place was still running with water and electricity-- just enough to keep everyone functioning on a daily basis. With their population being relatively controlled, it wasn't long after that there were talks of welcoming any outsiders to settle in with them. They had the capacity to take in a few more individuals at best, after all. It was always interesting seeing the people that stumbled upon them, a few questioning their avoidance of the outside world. That was one talk that didn't warrant any answer from Mount Weather's inhabitants.
It might have been the fact Leo used to be a part of the security detail, at least that's what he wanted to believe, that he was placed on the welcoming committee for any of the newest residents of the Mount Weather. Granted, that included talking to anyone that did show interest in wanting to stay permanently or briefly. He always found it interesting learning about tose stumbles across them. All of the stories he heard about the outside were fascinating. Considering he couldn't leave the area, this was the only way he could learn more about what went on outside.
At the thought, the brunet's attention flickered over to the tall brunet nearby, who was lingering by one of the exiting doors in the kitchen. With a majority of the child, teenagers included, in class, there was little people moving about in the dinning hall at this hour. It was fairly early in the day from what he heard. However, he still needed to do his own duties and finish up prepping the food for lunch today. Ironically, there was only a few minutes until people came pouring in. That had been his intention when he gestured for the stranger to follow him fifteen minutes ago."You're.. Bellamy, right?" Leo questioned, lips pursued in a brief smile. He remembered overhearing someone mentioning a possible newcomer by that name. As far as he could tell, there wasn't any new visitors besides him today. It seemed safe to assume that was him.Adding in a bit more vegatables to one of the plates, his gaze flickered back to Bellamy for a moment. It wouldn't hurt to ask, right? "So, what brings you to our little domain?" Leo questioned, finally letting his curiosity get the best of them. " --Not that it's rare to get strangers occassionally" He quickly added, "It's just everyone who drops by always has a.. tale to tell. No pressure though, if you don't want to talk about it." Moving the finished plate to the left, he grabbed a fresh plate and began filling it up. " Right. Do you want some food? You should eat something now that it's warm." Leo offered, gesturing to one of the finished plates on the counter top. Tag: Bellamy Blake

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Mount Weather seemed . . . too good to be true. And yet here they were. Welcomed, tended to . . . it all just seemed too much of a relief. They had been surviving for so long, was this finally their chance to actually live? The delinquents had tried to come here early on their arrival to Earth, hindered only by the Grounders who attacked them and kept them contained to a single area. The fact that the Mountain Men had come and saved them from the battle before it began, was curious enough. Bellamy had woken up in a while, sterile room, quickly released after it and reunited with the others. Everyone was here looking . . . as fresh and clean as Bellamy had ever seen them. He was still skeptical. He'd spoken to Dante, the older male titled as President and giving him a form of orientation, different from the others for obvious reasons.
Bellamy tended to trust his instincts and so far . . . there was nothing screaming out that this place was unsafe. Quite the opposite in fact. Right now, he was currently with a few other delinquents, listening to them express their excitement over the delicious food, comparing it to the Ark food and saying how much better it was. Bellamy couldn't help but give a small smile, hearing the others so excited about this. it made him . . . glad for them. That they could find a place that made them smile, for it had been too long since Bellamy had seen the expression on their faces.
His attention was drawn to a young male, one who spoke his name and prompted Bellamy to part company from his people and start to step towards him. "Yeah," he confirmed, his eyes following the unfamiliar male's hands as he was assembling the food. Bellamy then brought his gaze to meet the others once more. "And you are?" He inquired, curious to know the man who knew his name. Which, wans't surprising. There were far fewer Arkers here than Mountain People. Bellamy supposed that it wouldn't take long for his name and the name of the other delinquents to spread within the civilizations walls.
The Arker listened to the male ask about what brought them here, continuing on about how it wasn't rare to get the occasional stranger, and then finish off with assuring him that he didn't have to talk about it if he didn't want to. Bellamy appreciated the man's willingness to not push. But . . . Bellamy also figured that the other delinquents weren't exactly holding back. This place was incredible. Sustained for nearly a century and . . . giving Bellamy and his people what they had needed most: hope.
The man's latter question distracted Bellamy, as he watched him put together the food, offering it to him. Bellamy turned his head to motion for the other Arkers to take the plate, extending it to them as they thanked the man who put it together. Bellamy could wait to eat, and instead, he focused back on the question he'd posed. "We were told to come here by our people before they sent us down, and tried to since we first landed on Earth," Bellamy began to explain.
"Your people brought mine here just in time." Bellamy wasn't sure how much the man had heard about his people's origins, and decided that he may as well ask so not to sound redundant. "They saved us." Bellamy wasn't going to deny that. It was the blatant truth. "Why, I don't have a damn clue," he added on, almost as a joke but the words held truth. For Bellamy didn't actually know why the Mountain Men had saved them. Though, it did not seem like they had ulterior motives. "How much do you know about us?" Bellamy asked, curiosity in his gaze as he locked eyes with the food handler.

Living his entire life here had practically made the Mountain Men a close knit community. After all, everyone knew each other here. Perhaps that was the main reason why he pushed himself to speak to the hundred that had arrived just a few days ago. With his previous position as he guard, there was little he could to shake off the desire of knowing the group that had arrived. Granted, most of that feeling was being driven by curiosity more than anything else.
After beckoning for Bellamy to move closer, it was difficult not to notice the way the younger man watched the teenagers. So, he was more or less one of the leaders of the pack. He remembered hearing someone from the guard mentioning another individual, a blonde. While it would have been great to learn more, Leon pulled himself away to focus on his daily tasks for the day.
"Leon, but feel free to call me Leo." Leon casually replied, hardly ceasing his actions. The quicker he served the food, the faster everyone else could eat tonight. There were a lot of mouths here to feed. Exchanging a few pleasantries with a few of the Arkers, the twenty five year old finished up the current plate he was working on before setting on the table. Gesturing for anyone to take up the plate, soon continuing on to the next one. However, he found his gaze flickering over to Bellamy as he grew distracted. "Really? I didn't think anyone else knew about this place." Leon remarked. They weren't announcing it per say. With a few more plates being finished and setting them out before him, Leon grabbed a one before beginning to prep it with a variety of food. "Does there have to be a reason for saving someone?" Leon questioned, raising a brow as he sneaked a quick glance at Bellamy. Given all the ruckus with everyone else, it only made sense to save someone one else, especially with everything that went on recently. Of course, there was that and the simple fact the Grounders had attacked them, prepared to engage in some ongoing war with the Hundred. The answer seemed simple enough- they couldn't let them die. Shaking off away his thoughts, Leon turned his gaze over to Bellamy briefly. How much did he know about them? "Well, I don't know much beyond what was going on with the grounders." Leon answered truthfully.
