She's beautiful as usual with bruises on her ego Nina grinned in amusement when Jasper spoke of never hearing a girl use that term before. It was one that she certainly was going to adopt and use whenever she deemed appropriate. A laugh left her lips when Jasper noted his approval and she nodded her head. "Good. It's probably my new favorite expression," Nina explained. Keeping her eyes peeled for Clarke, Finn or some sort of shelter, Nina decided she didn't like any sort of silence between her and Jasper. He was the first person to make her laugh in a while and she wasn't willing to let that feeling go. At least, not yet. "Have any sort of bucket list for Earth, Jasper?" She asked, glancing over at him with an amused smile.
She had been thinking aobut it on the way down here; all the things she wanted to do on Earth. She had the cheesey ones like, sleep under the stars and watch a sunset and sunrise. She wanted to go through a long run through the woods, stretching her legs like they had been unable to do on the Ark. She wanted to eat some sort of food from Earth that they had no access to on the Ark. Most of hers were boring at the moment but she knew she had time to add to her list. @jasper420 |

Nina thought about how any path he chose would probably be better than the one his mother had picked. She had been the one, after all, to order the Mount Weather massacre. She was getting a good vibe from Roan and felt a little more comfortable not only in his presence, but in his ability to get things done. While Nina believed it would be difficult to get his people to follow him due to his newly appointed status, he seemed to not find it an issue at all. She supposed that was all that mattered. But his mention of their lands and how well they produce food caught her attention. She did not know they were that great, but then again, she wasn't from Farm Station so it wasn't something she really thought about. Truth be told, it wasn't something she really cared about. She knew food was important but that wasn't Nina's job and it had never been a concern of hers. She had always been focused on training and doing her job while in the Guard.
"I wasn't involved in food growth on the Ark," Nina explained. "But I'm sure our farmers would find that information very useful." What was left of them. It had been mostly Farm Station survivors in the mountain when it had exploded but she knew that there were still some left. But she also knew Roan was correct; their people could help one another. The Grounders had vast knowledge of the lands and everything that resided within them. Nina's people had technology and other knowledge that appeared to have been lost over the years. "Shall we leave for Azgeda?" Nina asked. She didn't want to be rude but she was also antsy and wanted to get this whole ambassador thing over with. "I'm sure it's quite the journey."

He had a nice laugh but Nina's thoughts were quickly diverted to the cause of his laughter. Had she said something amusing? But his next words made her understand. Her assumption of her job was far from accurate. It appeared she was needed as more than just someone to explain their culture and how they worked. She wished Clarke had given her more information before sending her to Roan. Nina was not one who liked going into something without a battle plan. She always had to have her strategy planned out but this time was different. She had not been given the opportunity to do such a thing and because of it, she was feeling out of place.
The mention of the mountain caused Nina to tense for a moment. She had almost been inside of that mountain but had decided to stay behind at Arkadia to help with something else. She had been so close to dying. Nina had been furious, and still was, when she found out how the mountain had exploded. Nia may have given the order but it would have meant nothing without the codes from Carl Emerson. Nina needed him to die but she knew that Clarke had simply banished him, from what she could tell. She understood that she wanted Carl to live out his life in agony over his choices and how he was the last of his kind, but there wasn't anything wrong with a little torture first, was there? "Good point," Nina said, nodding her head as he finished his small speech. "We can get a lot more accomplished if we stop fighting one another. The problem will be getting everyone to agree to peace." She knew that some men lived and breathed war. It also didn't help that many Grounders were still very much against Skaikru.

Nina nodded her head, accepting the offer to just call him Roan. She was thankful because calling someone King still felt strange on her tongue. It wasn't like she didn't know about Kings or Queens, it was just that from what she had been taught, those were things of the past. It was a strange concept in their modern age and Nina thought it was strange. Then again, she was almost certain that they probably found it strange that Skaikru didn't have Kings and Queens. "Nina," she said, telling him her name. Perhaps Clarke had failed to mention it to him or perhaps he was still attempting to make conversation.
"Clarke told me you'd like someone to help you understand Skaikru?" She asked. Nina had to fight a small chuckle. She didn't see how they were so confusing but she knew it was because she was one of them. She also knew that the Ice Clan tended to be a little different from the others, so there was that factor as well. "Any questions off the top of your head?" She asked, clasping her fingers together and holding her hands in front of her.

OR He'll say he's just not the same and you'll begin to wonder why you came Staring at the blank space in front of her, Nina listened to Bellamy's words while trying to hold it all together. Not only did Nina hate crying in general, but she hated crying in front of Bellamy. Her father had always told her that crying was a form of weakness which had eventually stuck, despite her mother always telling Nina that it was healthy to cry. It was a way to get everything out. Nina had such a hard time with feelings as it was, and this situation was not making it any easier on her. One thing he said really struck hard with her, and she found herself looking up at him. Someone we created together. She had honestly...not thought about it like that. It was probably because she didn't think about the thing inside of her as a person, but rather a 'thing'. But Bellamy was right. It was half of her and half of him. Even from a scientific standpoint, it had half of her DNA and half of his.
A tear spilled down her cheek as that realization sunk in. She quickly wiped it away, as if doing so would clear any evidence that she had begun to cry. But she knew Bellamy was looking at her and she knew that he had seen the tear fall. She knew she wouldn't be able to hold them back for much longer, especially if this conversation continued to go in the direction that it was headed. But the only thing she had felt inside of her was a tiny thing causing her to throw up every second of every day. So she couldn't exactly understand his reference to her feeling it, but she knew enough about babies to know that the larger it got, the more one could feel it.
But could she actually be a mother? Nina had lost her own mother and she knew how much it had fucked her up. She couldn't do that to a child if something were to happen to her. "I wouldn't be a good mom," she said, shaking her head as her voice cracked. She felt another tear slide down her cheek. But he would be such a good dad, she knew it. Nina didn't want this baby, she just wanted him. Nina didn't see how she would win this conversation without it ending in a big fight or him walking out on her. Nina removed her hand from the top of his, leaning forward and burying her head in her hands. "I just don't think I can do this Bellamy," she cried, feeling the tears leave her eyes. There was no stopping them now.

OR He'll say he's just not the same and you'll begin to wonder why you came The mention of Octavia got Nina thinking. Bellamy and Nina had never really talked about Octavia and all of that stuff because she knew things had been a little iffy between the two since Lincoln's death. But she knew that Bellamy would still die for Octavia and that she was still the center of his world. It didn't matter that she said she hated him. Nina admired that about Bellamy; his willingness to die for the people he loved. But Nina didn't want him dying for anyone because she couldn't imagine a world without him in it. Even when they had been broken up, it had been impossible to forget about him despite how much she tried. And she supposed she had no idea what it was like to have a sibling because they weren't allowed on the Ark so she couldn't even begin to understand his relationship with Octavia, especially since he had been involved in her birth. Bellamy had a relationship with the idea of babies that Nina didn't.
While Nina listened to him speak about his family, she kept thinking about how this didn't really apply to them. Bellamy had been thrust into the life of an older brother without choice and without much warning. At such a young age, she doubted he really understood what having a baby around meant. And of course he could have turned them in but they were family. Family didn't do that to one another. It was different because Octavia was already there and breathing and apart of his life. But this thing inside of Nina wasn't even real yet, at least not to her. It hadn't been brought into the world and it hadn't breathed life yet. It was different but Nina didn't have the heart to point that out to him, not when he looked so crestfallen at her decision.
He touched her stomach and Nina felt her abdomen clench at his touch. He was making this baby so real and she hated it. She hated how his words and his touches could affect her in the smallest ways. She wondered if he knew that. She wondered if he was using that to his advantage. She sighed and placed a hand over Bellamy's, the one that was resting on her stomach. "This," she began. "isn't a child Bellamy. It's a combination of cells that can grow into a child. I'm not getting rid of a breathing person. It hasn't made it to that point yet." And it wouldn't. Nina couldn't let it happen.
She could picture Bellamy as a dad, she really could. She could picture how amazing he would be and how he would be the kind of dad that every child wanted. But Nina couldn't picture herself as a mom. She had never been great around kids and had therefore avoided them. But how was she supposed to tell Bellamy that he would be a great father someday when she wasn't willing to let him go? Nina pictured a future with Bellamy but she had never seen any children. Apparently he did and she should have known that, given his upbringing with Octavia. "But don't you see? That's the reason this isn't a good idea. This world is too dangerous for us, let alone a baby." She pinched the bridge of her nose, attempting to shoo away and tears that had started to form in her eyes.

The words left her mouth and it was too late to take them back. She felt like time froze and she stayed still herself, not wanting any slight movements to cause problems. Nina felt Bellamy tense beside her and she shut her eyes for a moment, willing the moment to pass quickly. Maybe she shouldn’t have said anything. Maybe she should have kept her mouth shut. But as she said earlier, she couldn’t lie to him. Nina had no problems with lies in general, but did when it came to Bellamy. It wasn’t how she worked her relationships and theirs was finally back on track after all this time. The thought of something like this ruining it only upset her more.
He sat up and looked at her with disbelief. She saw no anger or annoyance like she had half-expected. She was tempted to roll her eyes and explain to him where babies came from. They had sex all the time so surely the idea of her being pregnant wasn’t completely off his radar. Then again, he was a guy and Bellamy tended to not notice the strangest things. But the small amount of amusement she held disappeared when it was made clear that he was more upset about her wanting to get rid of it. Nina had not expected that. She had not expected Bellamy to be upset over the idea of getting rid of it. The idea of having a child had never really occurred to her and she wondered if it had occurred to him. But part of her realized that it must have, given his reaction to her desire to get rid of it.
Nina sat up and leaned against the wall, staring at her boyfriend. “Bell…” she said softly. “This isn’t the Ark but it isn’t any safer down here. I can’t bring a kid into this.” Nina rubbed her temples for a moment before returning her gaze to him. She didn’t think she’s be having this conversation, let alone at this point in her life. “I’m not ready to be a mom,” she confessed. She knew that ultimately it was her choice given that it was her body, but she didn’t want this to completely destroy things between her and Bellamy. She loved him but she also didn’t want a child. Nina was not a leader of any kind, nor did she believe herself to be ambassador material. But Clarke had approached her telling her that she would be their ambassador for them and travel with King Roan to Azgeda to help secure the peace. Nina was a soldier and nothing more, so she was confused as to why Clarke had picked her for this role. There were plenty of others that would have been perfect for the job, almost anyone but herself. But there was no getting out of it and Nina felt stuck. She didn't want to go anywhere. She didn't want to leave her friends. Although she was promised it would only be for a short while, it didn't make much of a difference to Nina. She would still be brought to a strange place surrounded by people who likely wanted her dead. It was no secret that the Ice Clan held no love for Skaikru. From what she had been told, it appeared that Clarke had faith in Roan though. Nina wasn't sure but supposed she would see for herself.
She was led through the building until she was brought into a room. She noted Roan in the room but didn't see anyone else. She had seen Roan before but the two had not talked to one another, so she knew it was likely he had no idea who she was. She wondered if he was aware that she was a warrior and not a politician, but she doubted he would care either way. Nina had to stop herself from scoffing at his question. She still couldn't believe that she was the ambassador for this mission. "I suppose I am," Nina said with a nod of her head. "And you must be King Roan." She knew he was but she was trying her best to make conversation. Was she supposed to bow or something? Shit, she was awful at this whole thing.

She's beautiful as usual with bruises on her ego Nina wasn't too sure how she felt about Jasper's proposition. She wasn't keen on the idea of relying on someone who thought they could build a fire. Without the fire they would freeze through the night and who knew if they would be able to find a decent shelter. Nina was no help when it came to that stuff, seeing as she had never been fond of Earth studies or anything related to it. She found the pictures pretty but that's where her interest had ended. Nina would be helpful if they were attacked by anything, but she didn't see that happening nor was it a current problem of theirs. Nina didn't know if Jasper was doing it on purpose, but he was making her feel guilty for wanting to go back to camp. His words were true and she couldn't deny that. Nina knew that she would probably be peeved if someone left her out alone in the woods without trying to find them. Nina couldn't crush any positive thoughts Jasper had, so she merely offered him a smile and nodded her head.
"You're right," she confessed. "But we're totally boned if you can't start a fire." Nina used her favorite phrase she had heard from Jasper. She began walking in the direction they had been going in, keeping her eyes peeled for Clarke of Finn. She tried to look for a shelter as well but it didn't have her main focus. @jasper420 |

everything will change; nothing stays the same nobody here's perfect, but everyone's to blame Had it been someone else, Nina was certain that Raven's response would have caused someone to jump in surprise or even get upset over the way she spoke to them. But Nina was different in the sense that she had seen Raven angry before so she expected her to act certain ways. This time was no exception. If Nina had been feeling a little more normal she might have even chuckled at Raven snapping at her. But instead she ignored the tone of voice and continued to act like the girl had not just bitten her head off. In truth, Raven had a point. Nina wasn't really minding her own business but she didn't really care. She knew how some of her friends could be when they were feeling emotional and she wasn't willing to find out how Raven was. Raven followed up her snapping with telling Nina to join or get lost. Nina was always up for a distraction, especially now. Not to mention she found that Raven's distractions tended to be the best. "Okay," Nina agreed.
"And what's your great escape plan?" Nina asked, crossing her arms over her chest. Camp was on lockdown and no one was to leave without specific instructions. The fence was electrified so there was no getting through there. Then again, she wondered if Raven had the capability of turning the fence off for a little while without anyone noticing. It wasn't as if people were constantly testing the fence. It wasn't meant to keep them prisoners, it was meant to keep outsiders from invading their space. Nina would have gladly lied to get out of camp, saying that the girls had been sent on a special mission. But she knew it wouldn't work this time around. |

to be totally in love with you until the end of life I would stay talking to you in the middle of the night She attempted to keep her eyes open so she could see the reaction on Harper's face. Satisfaction rushed through her body as she saw how much her fingers had affected the blonde above her. If Nina's mouth hadn't been opened in a moan she would have smirked at Harper's reaction. Any thoughts of Harper's reaction flew from her mind the moment Harper pressed her thumb against Nina's bundle of nerves. She cried out in pleasure and began to rock her hips against Harper's hand. Everything was feeling amazing and she felt a small coil begin to tighten in her abdomen. The feeling was far too delicious to let go of, and Nina knew she would make sure Harper pushed her over the edge, just as Nina wanted to do to Harper.
Nina arched her back into Harper's touch, the feeling of her hand on her breast making her bite her lip. "Oh my god, Harper," Nina panted, continuing to buck her hips against her hand while pumping her fingers in and out of Harper. Her thumb continued to press and rub circles on her small nub while her index and middle finger continued to curl up, pressing against her other sensitive spot. @harpermcintyre |

OR He'll say he's just not the same and you'll begin to wonder why you came She snorted at his comment and shrugged her shoulders. She supposed it was a compliment, given that logic was something that was considered a positive trait in people. Nina never would have considered Bellamy to be a logical person, if asked to describe him, but in this moment he was giving her words that she needed to hear, even if she didn't want to. Nina nodded her head as he explained that he was checking on people in medical. She had never told him, but she thought he was a great leader. He didn't care about the power so much as he cared about his people. And it showed that he cared because he did the things that some leaders might not, such as checking on people in medical after a battle. It was certainly something he didn't have to do and Nina admired that about him. But she kept her comments to herself, still unsure as to where they stood with one another. They hadn't talked much since their reunion on the ground and Nina partially blamed herself. She shouldn't have gone into his tent that night but her mind had been pushed away in that moment, only listening to her heart and her desires.
His question made her think about the last time she had eaten something. For the life of her, she could not remember. She didn't feel hungry but knew that she should probably try to eat a little something. Shaking her head, she glanced over at him. "Honestly, can't remember the last time I had something to eat." It wasn't like she was doing it on purpose. She had just been so preoccupied with everything going on and her shoulder. "We can grab something and eat it back in my room if you want?" So we can talk. The words were unspoken but she had a feeling he would understand why she had suggested the privacy. But he could say no and it would be fine. It just gave her further indication on whether he wanted to be near her or not.

OR He'll say he's just not the same and you'll begin to wonder why you came Nina knew she loved Bellamy. After everything they had been through together it was difficult not to. Their history was long and tangled, but only appeared to have made their bond stronger. With that in mind, in made things difficult for Nina given her current situation. Things were good between them and she didn't want to cause any issues by bringing this up, especially if she was going to take care of it. But not telling him would be a betrayal of his trust and she knew that he would find out eventually. Because with the way the universe worked, that was just how things had to be. It was a painful back and forth in her mind but she was pulled from her thoughts when he spoke and pressed another kiss to the corner of her mouth.
She shrugged her shoulders at his question. "Nothing really," she responded. Nina scooched over on the bed so Bellamy could lay down next to her, patting the mattress and tugging him down next to her. She bit her lip and curled into him at his question. At the moment she was feeling fine. She was a little overwhelmed from the revelation of her illness but she wasn't feeling sick like she had been. "I'm feeling fine," she said. She felt her stomach tighten in anticipation. She couldn't lie to him. She loved him too much and she knew that lying would only hurt him. And Nina couldn't stand to see Bellamy hurt, especially from something she had done. "Uhm." She took a moment to gather her thoughts. "Abby told me she thinks I'm...pregnant," she confessed. She held her breath for a moment before opening her mouth to quickly add something. "But I'm going to her tomorrow to get something to make this whole thing go away," she said quickly. She released a large breath. "I'm sorry. I couldn't just not tell you," Nina confessed.

OR He'll say he's just not the same and you'll begin to wonder why you came The sound of her door opening made her freeze but quickly relaxed a moment later. Bellamy was the only one that entered her room without knocking. They spent enough nights together to feel comfortable doing that to one another and it wasn't something Nina thought much of. But she hadn't been expecting him back from his patrol so soon. Nina had planned on trying to come up with a gameplan while he was away. Bellamy was distracting in every way possible. Sometimes it was frustrating depending on what she was trying to do, but other times it was the most welcomed distraction she could think of. But now she needed him away from her so she could think. If she saw his smile, the one that made his eyes crinkle, she would second guess everything. She would want to keep it because she would want to have a part of him always with her. But Nina couldn't do that. She wouldn't.
She felt the edge of the bed sink down and she knew Bellamy was sitting there, likely staring at her. Or rather, staring at the blob under the blanket. She could hear the small smile in his voice and she felt her heart melt. He had her heart in the palm of his hand and she wondered if he even knew it. She felt him move closer and press a kiss against the blanket and she sighed. Nina moved the blanket down so her head and torso was revealed. She offered him a small smile and leaned forward, pressing her lips to his own in a chaste kiss. "How was patrol?" She asked, doing anything to stay away from the topic of her well-being.

everything will change; nothing stays the same nobody here's perfect, but everyone's to blame She should have gone with them. She shouldn't have stayed behind. If she had been there, maybe she would have been able to help. Maybe she would have been able to prevent the blast and maybe none of those people would have died. Granted, Nina hadn't lost anyone she really knew but it was still a great loss. The only people who had been there that she cared about was Raven, Bellamy and Octavia and all of them had survived. Bellamy and Octavia had been lucky enough to leave Mount Weather under the belief that an assassin was in Polis. Raven had barely escaped and Nina hadn't gotten the chance to talk to her about it yet. She had a feeling that the girl was dealing with a lot of pain, both emotionally and physically. She couldn't imagine what it was like. Nina was in that awkward position where she wanted to be there for Raven, but she didn't know how.
Everyone appeared to be on high alert and Nina was no exception. She felt like something was going to blow up at any moment and she hated it. The paranoia settled within her and she ached to get it out but there was nothing she could do. It would stay there until things calmed down, and who knew how long it woul dbe until that happened. Clarke was in Polis with Lexa but other than that, Nina had no idea what was going on. At one point she had heard that they had become the thirteenth clan but she couldn't be certain. She didn't know what to believe anymore. She didn't know what was true or what was just a rumor.
Nina decided to find Raven, wanting to be with someone who made her feel calm rather than annoyed or anxious like most people did these days. Nina had been surprised to not find Raven in the shop that had been set up for the mechanics. She wasn't quite sure where else she could be, but was fortunate enough to spot the girl outside. Nina went to yell out for the girl but something seemed off. From where Nina was standing, Raven looked like she wanted to avoid attention. Frowning, Nina ran to catch up with Raven. "Where are you going?" She asked, not even needing to ask if Raven was going somewhere. She knew her friend well enough. |
