Apparently Nina would have to hit him upside the head with her idea. For someone so smart, he sure was acting awfully dumb. But if he didn't have much experience with girls in the first place then perhaps that was why he wasn't picking up her small hints here and there. Nina dismissed the idea of Jasper being oblivious to her hints because he wasn't all that smart with girls, chalking it up to her not being flirty with him until right now. "Uh huh," she said slowly. Sure, that was certainly something that they could do. But it wasn't what Nina had been referring to and it certainly wasn't something they could do now. She was not tired enough to try to sleep but it was too dark to keep moving, something they had decided already. Which was why she thought her idea was perfect! It would pass the time and it would be helping Jasper get something off his bucket list.
"I was thinking more along the lines of something I can help you with," she said, raising her eyebrows and looking at him over the fire. Nina leaned back and put her weight on her hands that sat on the ground behind her. "Have you done anything with a girl yet, Jasper?" She asked. For all she knew he had never even kissed a girl before. Being twenty-three, Nina had done basically done it all. But having inexperience wasn't something she ever held against someone, least of all Jasper right now. She was older and he had been locked up for who knew how long, so it wasn't like he was getting any ass while in the skybox.

A moment later she felt herself moving and then she was lying on top of Bellamy. The feeling of her shirt being hiked up even further caused her to pull away and sit up. Reaching down, she grabbed the ends of her shirt and pulled it up over her head, tossing it onto the floor before returning her lips to his. Nina was thankful that she had been feeling good so far today, other than the obvious anxiety over the news. She would hate for something to ruin her moment with Bellamy, feeling like she had to show him how much she loved him. Knowing that there was a part of him inside of her was sort of a turn on, even though she knew the hormones also contributed to her libido. But right now was different. Right now was about showing Bellamy how much she loved him. This time would be different; she could already feel it.
One of her hands traveled down his body and began to push the fabric of his shirt up his body. Her hand sprawled across his abdomen and she felt the heat of his body transfer onto her own hand. Nina laughed. "Well this certain someone preferred training thank you very much. Physical activities had always been my strong suit. Besides, it wasn't like I thought I would ever need to know this stuff," she said, gesturing towards the fire that Jasper was working on. Not once had she ever considered the fact that she would be on Earth at some point in her life. It still had years to go as far as she had been concerned. But apparently the world had other plans and perhaps it was a good thing considering the oxygen crisis the Ark was currently facing. She still found it hard to believe and was a little upset that it had been kept from everyone. It was only Clarke that had revealed the crisis, not Jaha. But Nina was down here and that's all she really cared about. She was alive and wouldn't suffocate to death. Sure, her father was still up there but they didn't really have a relationship. He was a stranger to her. She didn't care if he lived or died.
She had to purse her lips together to keep herself from laughing at how nonchalantly Jasper had responded to her proposal. It was clear that he had no idea what she was talking about, and had probably intercepted the offer as something innocent. She moved her head off to the side and put her mouth against her shoulder, stifling a chuckle. Jasper was absolutely adorable and completely innocent. But she liked him and she liked how he made her laugh. That had been a difficult thing to do as of late, but he had succeeded. The least she could do was repay him in some way.
Nina listened to his words as he talked his way through the process. She took them in and tried to remember everything he was saying and doing. She knew it wouldn't be something she would get right away but she knew it was an important thing to learn. The flames sparked and she grinned over at Jasper, admiring his smile at his success. The fire grew and Nina felt the warmth. It had just started to get cold and the fire was built at the perfect time. Nina laughed and nodded her head. "Excellent," she said, clapping her hands a few times for the delinquent. Remembering her offer, Nina quirked an eyebrow at Jasper as she spoke. "Hey Jas, so what do you think we could do for your bucket list?" She asked. It had to click at some point, didn't it?

Resentment came when she was unable to get over him, to push him out of her mind. After he had ended things with her, or rather, just stopped talking to her, back on the Ark she had been heart broken but unable to forget about him. She resented her feelings for him and wished she had nothing at all for him. It had been a difficult time for her, battling with her feelings and emotions while trying to keep her life together. But she had always known that she cared about him. She always knew that she loved him.
She had never been one to force things out of Bellamy while they had been together on the Ark. She had always been patient with his feelings and had never held his inability to express certain things against him. She knew that was just who he was and she accepted him for that. So in a sense, she almost expected him not to say anything back. It wasn't as if she felt he didn't care about her. She knew he cared. She didn't know whether he loved her like she loved him but part of her hoped he did. So when he tilted her chin up to make her look at him, she felt like she almost couldn't breathe. Time was frozen but for a moment. He pressed his lips against hers and she melted into the kiss. Nina moved a hand to wrap around his neck and kept it there even when he slowly pulled away.
Looking into his eyes, Nina felt everything. She felt love and passion and every other good feeling that she got whenever she was with Bellamy. Those feelings only increased when he repeated those words to her. She smiled and leaned in again, pressing her lips against his. Everything was different now. Nina felt unbelievably happy for the first time in a long time. Nina attempted to pour all of her love into the kiss, deepening it and wrapping her arms around him. She never wanted to let go of this moment. Of him. |

She walked over and sat down across from Jasper as he attempted to put the fire together. "Because we have less room for patience," she said with a grin. His question caused her to get up from her spot on the ground. She walked over to the mouth of the cave and looked around for any smoke signals. She couldn't see anything and knew that the darker it got, the harder it would be to see any sort of smoke. "No," she said with a sigh, returning to their spot in the cave. Nina sat back down across from Jasper and she watched his hands work. Hopefully he could get it going, otherwise they were boned. The more Nina thought about it, the more she realized that it was probably a good skill to have; starting a fire.
"Proposition for you," Nina began, crossing her legs and pulling them closer to her chest. "You teach me how to build a fire and I'll help you cross something off your Earth bucket list." She quirked a brow in question, curious to see if he would take her up on the offer or not. There were really only a few things she could help him with, and considering they had nothing else to do, the idea wasn't completely out of the question. Nina knew Jasper had tried flirting with her when they had first begun their journey and she had brushed it off to the side for the time being, but she still found Jasper to be attractive.

"I bet if we got on top of the drop ship one night we could see the sunset or sunrise!" She pointed out. Now that she thought about it, maybe she didn't want to build a house. Maybe she would just watch someone build a house. She'd have some of the good looking guys build a house without shirts on. Now that sounded like something she could deal with. The idea of a rainbow sounded nice, but she knew that they were rare. Nina laughed a little as she thought about how some people thought you could find a pot of gold at the end of one. It was a myth but she still found it amusing. She thought back to other tales that had been told about Earth and wondered if any of them were true. For the most part, probably not, but she knew that they probably had to stem from somewhere.
Nina reached up to give him a high-five but missed when he pulled his hand away at the last second. "Jasper!" She exclaimed in mock shock. She placed a hand over her heart. "I can't believe you would do that to me. I thought we shared something special!" Nina joked. She dropped her hand from her heart and laughed, going in to fake punch him in the stomach before pulling away at the last second.

Nina tried to think of how she would get them out. Perhaps Raven had dug some sort of hole to get under the fence or something like that. Either way, Nina was definitely intrigued to see how this all panned out. She stopped when Raven brought them to the edge of camp, in front of the fence where no one could see them. She listened to her threat and a grin spread across her face. "I don't doubt that," she said. Nina admired Raven for still being herself even after her injury. She was so strong and Nina was often jealous over Raven's apparent strength. But she kept her thoughts to herself, knowing Raven well enough to know that those comments would not be welcomed. Her eyes followed Raven's hands as she moved things aside and went out to touch the fence. Nina almost warned the girl about it being electrified, but Raven knew that. So she had to know what she was doing.
A grin formed on her face, yet again, at Raven's revelation. "Amazing," she said. Nina felt like a kid in a candy store. There were so many opportunities with this new revelation. But Nina knew that she had to keep it to herself, not wanting Raven to get into trouble or having the fence fixed. She quickly followed Raven out the hole and looked around. She hadn't been outside the fence since the incident at Mount Weather. As if the air was different, Nina inhaled deeply and grinned. "Free at last," she said, looking over at Raven. "So what's the plan? Knowing you...my guess is blowing some shit up?" Nina quirked a brow at her friend, curious to see if she was right or not. |

She poured her own emotions into the one kiss as well. Fear. Love. Those were the main emotions she was unable to shake. She was afraid of having a child; afraid of bringing it into this hell of a world. But she loved Bellamy and seeing how badly he wanted this child only made her love him more, if that was possible. She tucked herself into his body as an arm wrapped around her. She wrapped an arm around his neck and put her face into it. Closing her eyes, Nina thought about what she had just agreed to do. She had agreed to bring a child into this world. She had agreed to put her life second. It wasn't like she necessarily had a problem with that, since she often put those she loved feelings first, but this was a little different. This baby would rely on her for everything. It's survival depending upon her and Bellamy.
She didn't say anything when he said she would be a great mom. It was still something she didn't quite believe, but she wasn't going to argue with Bellamy over it. They had just gotten out of one argument and she was in no rush to get into another one. Especially, another one that she would likely not win. Pulling her face out of his neck, she pressed a kiss to his jaw. "I love you." The words just poured out of her mouth before she could stop them. She had been trying not to say them in fear of him saying them just to get her to have this child. But it was too late now. He had no reason to lie about something like this. And again, Nina didn't know why she expected the worst of Bellamy. She loved him. But the more she thought about it the more she realized she expected the worst from everyone, so that way she would never feel disappointed. Nina released a deep breath and wrapped an arm around his waist, sinking into his embrace. |

Nina observed him picking up sticks and she mirrored his actions. She figured they were for a fire and she knew that the more she helped, the better off they would be. Chuckling at his sentence, she nodded her head. "Okay I didn't really think about that I guess," she said. She thought about putting a towel down but decided to dismiss the idea altogether. She thought about what else was on her list other than running around. "Well, the ones I already mentioned," she said. What else? "I think it would be cool to see some animals if there are any left. There are some certain things I'd love to see like a sunrise and sunset. I'd like to try and build a house like how they had back before the bombs." She bit the inside of her cheek as she continued to think. "Boring ones, really. Other than the ones involving sex," Nina said with a laugh.
Looking up she spotted something and narrowed her eyes. Was that a cave? Turning in the direction of the cave, or what she believed to be a cave, Nina walked closer until she was at the mouth of it. "Looks like we've found a shelter!" She said, looking over her shoulder at Jasper. She didn't know how deep it went but figured it wasn't really necessary to find out. They just needed to go back enough to stay out of sight and away from the cold air at night.

She slightly leaned into his touch, realizing that any form of physical contact with him was what she really needed. Hearing him say that he would be with her every step of the way caused a wave of relief to wash over her. It wasn't as if she was afraid of him abandoning her, so she was unsure as to why the words brought such comfort. But right now, Nina wasn't really trying to answer these questions. Nothing made sense to her at the moment. Nina knew she wouldn't be alone, but she supposed that wasn't really the problem. Her issue was bringing something innocent into this world, knowing how many horrible things could happen to it. She was afraid of her or Bellamy dying, leaving the child without a parent. Nina had her mother for most of her life, but that didn't mean that losing her hadn't fucked her up. She couldn't imagine how it had been for Bellamy, not knowing his father and then having his mother floated for having Octavia. There were too many variables and Nina was having a hard time justifying all of them. There were too many 'what ifs' that plagued her mind.
His soothing words pulled her from her busy mind and Nina looked up at him. He said all of this now, but what if he changed his mind at some point? There was only so much time she was given in order to change her mind before it became permanent. Nina didn't know why she was questioning Bellamy's words. She was second-guessing everything right now. Nina didn't know why she was having such a hard time accepting his supporting words, but she didn't care to over think them like she was doing to everything else. She still couldn't believe that this was Bellamy's argument. She had been certain that he would have been upset over her getting knocked up in the first place. His whole reaction had thrown her through a loop and made her question every choice she had made thus far. Hell, she didn't even know how far along she was given that she had spaced out once Abby had told her that she was pregnant in the first place.
Nina deeply inhaled and then let the air out through her nose as she thought about his final question. She still didn't know if she could do this. She still didn't know if she wanted this. But his words about it being apart of both of them and something that they made together were echoing in the back of her mind. Getting rid of this baby would be getting rid of a a piece of Bellamy. "Okay," she finally agreed, her voice soft and barely above a whisper. Knowing that she was actually going to be a mother scared the shit out of her, but knowing that Bellamy was the father was the most soothing thing in the world in that moment. |

Nina shrugged her shoulders. She had never thought about going to Earth either but she had a small bucket list for the Ark as well. One of which had been to surpass her father in ranking in the Guard. While she knew it was highly unlikely, it had never stopped her from wanting to accomplish it. Nina listened to Jasper's words and nodded her head as she listened. She hadn't thought about swimming, to be quite honest, but she knew that would be an experience that no one on the Ark could compete with. Then again, she supposed all of the things she did down here were completely out of reach for those on the Ark. She grinned and laughed when he said skinny dipping. "I'm stealing that one too!" She said with a grin. "Oh man, you're just full of good ideas." First the being boned comment and now the skinny dipping. Nina couldn't deny that she was super curious to see what other great ideas Jasper appeared to have.
"You're welcome," she said with a grin, thinking about their little run in the woods. It had been spur of the moment, potentially dangerous, but exhilarating nevertheless. She didn't think much about his getting laid comment, but begun to wonder if he was a virgin or not. She didn't know how long he had been locked up, so he could be, and that wasn't his fault. Instead, Nina decided not to make a big deal out of it. "Yes!" She exclaimed. "Under the stars. Corny, but pretty cool," she said. "On the beach, like that drink they used to have back on Earth!" She had forgotten about that one.

She's beautiful as usual with bruises on her ego Pursing her lips at Clarke's question, Nina had to think for a moment. The two of them weren't friends by any means and yet Nina had decided to approach the girl to try to comfort her. Nina wasn't a horrible person but she wasn't necessarily a kind-hearted person either. She kept to herself and stayed loyal to those she loved the most. She had never been one eager to make new friends and thus her friendly demeanor had been banished. But something about Clarke drew Nina in. It was a strange feeling, given that she blamed her for the deaths at Tondc. But she also sympathized with the girl over what she had done at Mount Weather. Nina believed she made the right choice and knew it was one she would have made. So she felt the urgent need to assure Clarke that she had done the right thing; that she had made the right choice. "I'm not sure," Nina said with a soft chuckle.
Glancing up in an attempt to see how close they were to home, Nina realized that no one was really in front of them. Glancing behind her, she noted the same thing. "Uhm. Clarke?" Nina asked, her eyes continuing to search the area for any signs of human life. "I think we lost the group," she noted. Shit. This was not good. Nina wasn't great at finding her way back to camp, especially from their current location. This was a time where she needed Clarke to forget about all of the choices that were currently haunting her. She needed the Clarke that she had seen before so that the two of them could find their way home, alive. |
