CHARACTER SOUNDTRACK
- Details: By Character Soundtrack, we mean songs that would fit your character. AU THREAD RULES
AU stands for Alternate Universe. That is, threads that step outside the canon world of the show. They can be What If scenarios about things that did not happen in the show or that completely step outside of the canon verse. Some examples of AU Threads:

- Deceased Characters: Threads in this board can involve characters that died in the show, with the 'What If they didn't die' question. For example: What if Wells or Finn didn't die?
- Character Relationships: Threads in this board can involve the changing of relationships. For example: What if a certain character was related to another, or what if one character was involved romantically with another.
These are just some of the many examples of what can take place in the AU board. However, all site rules still apply to this board. This includes godmodding another canons and characters. Be sure to check with members playing characters you hope to involve in your AU plots. This board can also be used for plots based on future events.

Reapers Reapers are savage, primal, cannibals who are brutal and show no mercy to their victims. Most reapers appear to be disfigured horns and bumps across their faces and heads. Reapers were once Grounders however when they are transformed to a Reaper, appear to show no loyalty to their former clan.
They reside in the tunnels of the mines and the only food they are given are the bodies of the Grounders that the Mountain Men have harvested for their blood. They are loyal to the Mountain Men, capturing Grounders for them in exchange for the Red drug that the Reapers are given in return that the Mountain Men have made them addicted to. The Mountain Men use the tone generators to control the Reapers when interacting with them; the high pitch sound repels Reapers as they were conditioned during the transformation process.
When Grounders are captured they are categorized for either Harvesting or Cerberus, meaning the stronger ones would become Reapers to make it easier to capture more Grounders in the future. They would then go through decontamination where they are blasted with boiling water and doused with something that burns their skin even more. They are then given shots and pills as well as inspected before being put in a cage for later use. There are 2 phases to the Cerberus process.
In Phase 1, the victim is strapped onto a gurney and injected with the Red Drug every two hours while sounding a tone generator accompanied by electric shocks to the wrist for several seconds.
In Phase 2, the victim has been fully conditioned to show fear towards the tone generator (it usually takes a couple days) and one newly made Reaper is pitted against another new one in a fight to the death for the Red Drug. When one of them is victorious, and the other dead, the new Reaper has passed phase 2 and is then sent out to collect Grounders in exchange for the Red Drug.
It is believed that the process from Grounder to Reaper is irreversible and the only known way was discovered by the Sky People, showing Lincoln as the sole survivor of this reversal process.

The Mountain People The Mountain Men (People) are those who are in Mount Weather and are the descendants of the humans who survived the nuclear apocalypse for 97 years by staying inside the confines of Mount Weather. It is ruled by the President, Dante Wallace who has remained in this position for some time, as his father was the President before him.
Mount Weather seemingly functions as a 'normal' society. There citizens within the walls, and children who attend school. Everything seems to have order, however there is an entire medical facility used to test subjects and keep prisoners.
The Mountain People do not have the same immunity to the Earth's environment and when they are exposed to the radiation, their body reacts violently and they ultimately die. Because of this, they remain secluded in Mount Weather, however have spent 57 years conducting tests in order to build immunity to the radiation.
The Mountain Men are responsible for creating and releasing Acid Fog into the air and are have also created the people known as Reapers.
The Harvest Project, led by Dr. Tsing, is where Grounders are captured by Reapers. Their blood is drained and used to treat the effects of radiation among the mountain men since Grounders have a higher tolerance for radiation.
The Cerberus Project, led by Cage Wallace, is an exclusively known project where Cage takes grounders meant for the harvest but instead, transforms them into reapers. For more information about this, look at Reapers thread in this board.

The Grounders The Grounders are the descendants of those who survived on Earth during the nuclear apocalypse and have for over 97 years. They like the Sky People have an immunity to the radiation in the Earth's atmosphere. This group of people are perceived as hostile and have tension between the other groups on Earth (i..e Sky People, Reapers, and Mountain Men).
The official language they speak is called Trigedasleng. It is understood by all Grounders and mostly only the warriors can also speak English, making them bilingual.
When a child is born with a mutation, they are cast out and abandoned to erase the stain from their bloodline. The Grounders are organized into clans: The Woods Clan, The Desert Clan, The Boat People, Ice Nation, and so on, as well as nomads. ( for more information about the clan groups, click here ). Each clan has a leader, and each village within that clan also has a designated leader that answers to the Clan head.
Grounders are clad in armor, made of various materials such as bone, leather, cloth, animal furs, etc. They usually wear masks or helmets also made out of these materials. Many of them have war paint on their face and body as well as tattoos. They also mark their kills by making a cut or burn on their skin to represent each person that the warrior has killed.
They fight with primitive weapons such as swords, daggers, spears, bows, and of course, hand to hand combat. They refuse to use or even touch guns for it is believed that if a Grounder picks up a gun, Mount Weather will wipe them out.
Grounders are warriors, known for being fearless and not showing mercy to their enemies. They believe that blood should be answered by blood and often seek justice in this way when their kind has been killed or attacked.

Culturally Appropriate Models for Grounders
As seen on the show, Grounders all possess distinct features that indicate a hint of ethnic background. Their features tend to be a bit darker. With that said, we ask when making an OC Grounder, that you please take this into account. We have permitted a couple of Grounder OCs to have blond hair, but this trait is extremely rare. If you require assistance in selecting a model, we encourage you to contact us staffers so that we can ensure it fits into the culture of the Grounders and the physical traits they possess. We wish to respect and maintain the way they were culturally and ethnically revealed on the show and this includes model selection so that we are consistent with the series.
