.:Physical Appearance:. Clarke is naturally quite pale and it takes a while for her to tan. She has clear blue eyes and a rather round, yet sweet face. She had blonde shoulder length hair, which is usually only styled to get the front parts out of her eyes. Depending on the humidity her hair curls more or less, yet it’s usually untamable and she has different priorities than her beauty. She has an enchanting, yet rare smile. Clarke prefers to dress for comfort, has done so ever since she started the internship. She liked dressing up, but in most circumstances and certainly in her current one, dressing up has no use.

.:Personality:. Clarke is a very headstrong young woman. She is determined to make the best of the situations she is in and tries very hard to achieve the best possible outcome, mentally beating herself up when she fails. She is very intelligent, which allowed her to not only learn a lot about medicine, but develop a good instinct for it as well. Clarke is selfless and caring; she has a mothering and nurturing side, wanting only the best for her people, for every single one of them. If it helped, she’d gladly give her last for her people. Clarke is a very fair woman, preferring to give someone a second chance before dooming them, yet she also makes some rash decisions and judgments, which is why she works well with a Co-leader.

Clarke has a strong sense of justice, she want things to be fair for everyone and hates injustice, even if it’s injustice against her own enemies – still she can make and agree to the hard decisions for her people. She’s a natural leader, a fair leader, who wants to do good by her people, even if it means to take the hardest path.

Clarke Griffin was born on the Ark as one of the descendants of the survivors of the nuclear war on earth. As daughter of Senior Environmental Engineer and a Doctor – something she later aspired to be herself – she was considered privileged. Her parents were even in the council. As privileged girl she had a good childhood, up until the day her father discovered a major problem in the Arks life support system, which Clarke discovered. Her father was being floated, so killed, for it and Clarke, as she was underage was locked up.

One day, she was drawing in her cell, guards came for her. She was not yet 18, but still believed she was to be executed, believed the Council was reducing population in order to buy the rest more time, but she was wrong. Her mother informed her about the mission to earth just before she was shot with a tranquilizer. 

Clarke was one of the 100 young criminals sent to earth to see if it was habitable. It was, if you didn’t count grounders and other dangers the earth held. But together the kids found a way to survive, starting to organize themselves, find their leaders and fall into some sort of rhythm. Somehow they will survive.
