.:Physical Appearance:. Bellamy has a tall figure and an athletic build. He has dark curly hair, brown eyes, and slightly darker  skin. His cheeks and nose are lightly sprinkled with freckles, more visible depending on the weather. He dresses fairly casually, even during his time on The Ark. He always carries a weapon (or weapons) on him in preparation to defend himself or protect another.

.:Personality:. Bellamy is first and foremost extremely and fiercely over protective. This is reflected in his attitude toward his younger sister. Since the moment she was born he felt strongly protective over her and this trait carried on to when they landed on Earth; he felt responsible for the others that he referred to as 'his people' above the others who were on the Ark. With that said, Bellamy can be quite aggressive and hostile toward others. He can be accurately described as an ass, being blunt, outspoken, and seemingly unsympathetic and unemotional. As time passes, he starts to show that his actions are not without concern for others, and begins to reveal a less cold but still guarded side to him.

Bellamy displays extremely strong leadership skills. He has a charm and charisma that he uses to inspire a crowd and what quickly resulted in others following him and becoming loyal to him. He is strong with words and knows how to work a group of delinquents. He's learned to be more rational and logical in his actions and be a bit more of a team player. Somewhere in the hardened exterior he has a sense of humor, that doesn't always reveal itself apart from those he's close to.

Bellamy does what he feels he must in order to survive as well as protect the others. He will torture a man if it means extracting information from him, he will punish someone who disobeys him -- or becomes a little too close to his sister -- and he will kill anyone who is deemed a threat to either him or the others. In addition to this, he is willing to take any risk necessary to look out for the sky people and has become a well respected, valued member of the group.

.:History:. Bellamy was born in the Ark as the son of Aurora Blake. He was fairly close to his mother, well educated and well versed in most subjects, especially mythology. After seven years, they had another member join their family. While this was against the rules of the Ark, they could not give up the the newest addition to the Blake family. Bellamy named his sister, and took care of her to the best of his ability. He was extremely protective over her and though his mother found a way to get a warning about any surprise inspections, Bellamy was always worried that Octavia would be discovered. She was raised in the confines of their quarters, finding it constraining and far too constricting.

Bellamy intended to join the guard and as a cadet, one of his duties was to chaperon a teen masquerade dance. This was the perfect opportunity for Octavia to be released, at least for a little bit. He guided her to the area but unfortunately, a surprise inspection caused things to take a drastic turn. She was discovered, and their mom was floated for her crime of having a second child. Octavia was imprisoned as she was a minor (under 18), leaving Bellamy devastated. After a year, an opportunity arose that he could not ignore. He was approached by someone in the guard, the very person who had caught Octavia and ignored Bellamy's plea, and informed Bellamy of where the delinquents were going. He told him that he could get on the shuttle as well; all he had to do was shoot the Chancellor.

Desperate, and afraid of losing his sister, Bellamy did as instructed. He shot the Chancellor -- believing he killed him -- and snuck aboard. His presence was not known by Octavia until they landed and the two were reunited after not being able to see each other for a year. Bellamy quickly inserted himself in a leadership role, and the others were quick to follow him. While he and Clarke did not see eye to eye on many things, Bellamy eventually grew to respect her, seeing her as a strong leader and together, believed they could successfully create order among their group. This however, was only the beginning for Earth had far more in store than any of them could possibly imagine.
