Baron wondered if it was the state of shock that left him so . . . numbed. Numb to the man tapping his cheek, until belatedly, his words processed. Though in his mind, he still held the possibility that this was a planned assassination attempt. However, he could not deny that there was a . . . genuine apology in the man's voice. Embarrassment and shame in his gaze; the way his head fell. Genuine concern as he checked to make sure that Baron was alright. Baron just looked at him, blinking a couple of times as if trying to still come to terms with what had just happened.
"It was an accident," he both questioned and acknowledged at the same time. Was it truly just that? Had someone purposely tripped the man to bump into Baron? Or was this guy just a very good actor? So many thoughts raced through his mind and it only made his head hurt more. Although, that could have something to do with the red liquid that touched the man's hand after checking Baron's head. He would probably need stitches -- at the very least. This was not an accident that Baron could avoid the hospital for. "That's not . . ." He paused, as if trying to catch his breath. Closing his eyes he attempted to steady the spinning world around him. He longed to fall back against the ground, but also knew that it only made him more vulnerable.
"That's not necessary," he finally finished, opening his eyes again to look at the man. Money was no issue. "Are you hurt?" He asked, still attempting to regain himself. "What's your name?" Another question, so that he could get to know the man here. And also, to serve as a distraction as Baron foolishly attempting to stand up on his own two feet, knowing he was doing nothing good by just sitting on the hard ground.

Baron wasn't sure how long they had been arguing for, but it was enough to both make their points . . . and then some. Baron's argument that seducing people for work was not the same thing as being in the company of women during events. But it was the manner in which the pictures showed that was Abra's argument back. Though Baron did not raise his voice, it was clear that tensions were high. Perhaps it was the stress of what their jobs entailed. Perhaps it was the fact that it wasn't exactly made easy for them to be out and about together. Whatever the contributing factors were . . . they were most certainly having an argument about it. And truth be told, Baron hated to argue. Yet the rising heat of the moment was not going to be soon extinguished.
After stating his adamant words of how it was not the same thing, he turned his back to Abra in frustration, her own words firing at him as Baron's hand ran down his face in utter frustration. They were getting no where. They were going no where. And Baron needed to find a way to just stop this conversation. He needed a way to bring it to an end, however natural or abrupt. It seemed the latter was more likely. Tuning out her words, and fairly certain she was in mid sentence, Baron hastily turned, marched over to her, and pressed his lips against her own. His hands held her upper arms before going to either side of her cheeks. The fervent kiss held an intensity to it, the frustration and heat of their argument seeping into the embrace as Baron coaxed her mouth open with his own. Breathing heavily through the kiss as if heaving with all the fire that sparked from their conversation and finally . . . he found a way to release it all.

An invisible thread connects Baron stiffened once more, though he wasn't entirely sure he had fully relaxed his shoulders, despite what it looked like to someone watching. He clenched his jaw again, his face for a brief second twisting, letting out a mix of a heavy breath and slight scoff as she tugged his his belt. Her hand on his chest was surprisingly warm, and it just left him even more unnerved. Her nails however . . . well, he didn't have time to dwell on those too long until her slender fingers had reached his belt. His eyes remained locked onto hers, not daring to remove them though part of him wished he had considering the gaze behind her blue hues. Her words processed in his mind, and with her hand where it was, and the look in her eyes . . . well, Baron wasn't oblivious to such suggestive words.
He knew he had two options: to remain composed, casual and dance this dance -- literally. Or, to pull away from her company and walk away. He feared the latter may draw attention to an already less than subtle situation. If anyone was watching now, abruptly leaving would only raise more questions. So Baron's hand on her waist, fell to her wrist, gently gripping it in indication to let go of his belt. Her lips were dangerously close to his . . . feeling her breath upon him, the all too recent moment when their lips had touched. He didn't expect the challenge; he couldn't. He was unused to playing games such as these. An assassin seducing him in such a way. "I hope . . . " He began to say, leaning forward to speak near her ear if only to break the all too close contact of their lips. "No one is paying you to think then," he completed.
"Because you're wrong." With that, he attempt to tug her hand back so that it would release from his belt . . . another far too intimate area. Drawing his head back he looked at her again, jaw returning to its slightly clenched position. "You're going to have a lot of unwanted attention on you if you continue this," he told her, attempting to regain himself, to maintain his composure though she certainly wasn't making it easy. Though, whether he was saying it as a warning or threat . . . he wasn't entirely certain. "Who are you here for tonight?" He asked, returning to the earlier purpose of him seeking out her company. Of having asked her to dance, as if only to prove his intentions upon her reminder of him being the one to have asked.

An invisible thread connects Baron basked in the kiss, belatedly closing his eyes, taking in the sensation of her lips. The taste of her which quenched a thirst he never even knew he had. The kiss was over too soon, and he slowly opened his eyes, though with heavily lids, feeling her lips trail over his jaw. Letting out a heavy breath, a smile crossed his lips once more as she began to list off different things, though he was growing increasingly distracted by her lips moving down his neck. His hand went to the back of her head in encouragement, tilting his neck to the side to give her more access.
"Most of those sound quite tempting," he stated, trying to focus on both words but it was difficult with how she was making him feel. "And some of them . . . " He paused, his hands going to her waist and in one swift motion, turned her so that her back was against the bed, simultaneously moving with her so that he was position on top of her. He smiled down at her, his hands sliding up the side of her body, feeling her perfect figure as one moved to the bed at her side to slightly brace himself up. The other continued to slide upward, delicately skimming up the side of her neck until it rested on her cheek. "Make me wonder what you've done with former partners you've had," he said teasingly, leaning down to kiss her, this time more deeply than before,

|Canons| callie cartwig
With Baron and Callie in the same field on the Ark, I think it would make for some really find threads! I could see them as good friends, and Callie probably even helped train Baron for his position! Would love to explore their potential friendship and bond!
In my modern AU verse, I thought maybe Callie could be a clan leader, daughter of a leader, work within Baron's clan, or even work for Baron as a personal assistant or secretary or anything! It could be really fun and make for lots of potential plots!
|
|O C s| canon: sister of heart
So canon verse I thought it would be cute for Baron to have a bestie who's basically like a sister to him! Either their families are friends, or she lost her parents at a young age and Baron's parents helped raise her! Either way, I thought it could make for a cute dynamic of two people who are just very close! In my modern AU verse, Baron was adopted into the Tseng family and they had a daughter, meaning him and her would be adoptive siblings! I imagine they are very close, and when their father went missing, he was a pillar of support for her and their mother!
Note: I am open to whatever faceclaim the mun would like to use, and if you need help, I have some suggestions! Would prefer a culturally appropriate muse for the ethnic backstory! I also have her name listed as Meili [which means 'Beautiful' but if you prefer to change that name, let me know!]
|
AU: adopted sister canon: friends and acquaintances
So canon verse it would be nice for Baron to have some buddies! Maybe a best friend, close friends, and then of course others who may not like him! I'm open to all sorts of interactions! It would be nice for him to have at least one bestie that he confides in and is particularly close to! In my modern AU verse, could be fun to have fellow clans people, within his own clan, and other clans (both ones supportive of him and perhaps some that are . . . not so approving of him)! And a someone who is his trusted confidant and best friend!

Baron couldn't keep the soft smile upon his lips. His fingers skimmed the spines of the books. Countless books that were lined up on shelf upon shelf. The selection on the Ark had been rather, limited. So to see a library such as thing, made Baron incredibly excited. Mount Weather was truly all they had hoped it would be. A union of two civilizations. And to see how they had survived all this time . . . well, Baron was amazed. In awe. And he was eager to learn as much as he could about them. But at this late hour, all he could do was admire the books. He longed to take one off the shelf, but was uncertain as to what the protocol was. Was there a system of signing them out? The library was empty, most asleep at this time, but Baron just admired the wealth of knowledge that existed in this room. He couldn't wait to have a taste of it.
Finally turning around, breaking his gaze from the books, he abruptly paused when he saw a man standing in the thresshold of the door. But the smile did not leave Baron's lips. He recognized him as the son of who they called the President: President Wallace. Baron had yet to meet everyone in this place, but the man before him held important position. So for that reason, Baron knew who he was. But was unsure as to how long he was standing there for. "My apologies," Baron said. "I just couldn't help but admire the collection of books in here." Sincere words, for they were nothing but the truth, indicating he meant no harm in being here. Especially since both Mount Weather residents and Arkers were still getting to know each other; still learning about each other.

An eye for an eye Things were intense within the camp. Tensions high, and there was a clear divide among the Arkers. It was one thing to fight against a threat, but now, they were turning against their own. War, death, murder . . . why was this the only option upon arriving on the ground? Baron hadn't the slightest idea but nor could he condone such hehavior. Which was why he adamantly spoke against giving up Finn Collins. There was no justice in killing someone else, despite what they had done. If they lived on that philosophy, then many more of them -- both Arkers and Grounders -- would be dead.
But just as there were those against it, there were those for it. And seeing a group of them confronting Finn as Baron was walking through the halls of the fallen Ark, was enough to cause him pause. He didn't hear the conversation, but then, he didn't need to. "Everything alright over there?" He asked as he calmly approached. He looked at the group of four men, and the former delinquent. His eyes were on Finn, the question meant more for him than for the other men. "We were just having a conversation," one of them said, his tone clear of the defiance and anger he felt towards . . . Finn, Baron supposed. But he also knew that beneath that tone of hostility, there was fear. It was that very fear that fuelled anyone to even consider giving up one of their own. Baron turned to face the man, casually, naturally placing himself between Finn and the men. He extended a hand and placed it on the man's shoulder.
"I know you're scared," he validated. "But you do not want to do anything your conscience may regret." Whether it was inflicting harm on the boy, or being a direct cause of Finn's murder. Baron was not disillusioned. He knew that the man was going to retort, but Baron hoped his own presence was enough to deter him if not his words. The man parted his lips to speak, but Baron quickly continued. "Now if you'll excuse us. We will take our leave and unburden the weight of any decision you may hastily make." With that, Baron lowered his arm from the man's shoulder, the gesture having meant to kept him grounded. Nonchalantly, he turned to face Finn, his expression motioning for Finn to turn around and walk alongside him in the opposite direction the men stood.

He who asks is a fool for five minutes but,
Canon Verse I was born on the Ark, adopted into a family with strong cultural values. I now work as a communications liaison within the Council, as well as aid in combat training for The Guard/Cadets program, and teach other various subjects. If you have any questions, I welcome you to ask!
Modern Verse I was adopted by a man who leads all the clans, or as some know of it, the Chinese Mafia. Upon his disappearance, I have now taken his position in the hopes of continuing my father's work to legitimize our businesses. Many agree, but some do not. If you have any questions, I encourage you to ask and I will answer what I can!

The man's immediate refusal for a hospital made Baron wonder if he just generally didn't like hospitals, or if he didn't want to risk going because of, well, all that had happened. Baron certainly couldn't blame him for either option. "Monty," he repeated, using his name to introduce his next statement. "I wish we could have met under better circumstances." Genuine regret for how the boy was now involved in this. "No, they didn't," Baron continued, understanding that Monty's tone held sarcasm. But he was not about to sugar coat the situation to provide false assurance to Monty. "But I told them to leave," he added on.
"Because I think we both know what they were going to do." The expression that had been on Monty's face, and the violent pursuit were clear indications of that. "And I won't let that happen." Aware that his assurance may mean nothing from him . . . but Baron felt the need to say it regardless. "The kind of help I'm offering . . . starts with getting your ankle looked at. We can go to neutral ground. A hotel that is not far from here. I can take a look at it, and if need be, I have a contact who's a doctor that can make a house call to check it properly." Because Baron too, avoided hospitals where he could. "And the second kind of help, is protection. Because I hate to say it, but those men will not give up so quickly." They knew what was at stake, and would make an attempt on Monty again. But not if Baron had him in his sights.

Baron was used to the crowds. The chaos of the city. Back home, it was like this with an even higher population. So he paid no mind when they were all so congested. Bumping against each other, some muttering apologies, some so accustomed to it that they didn't even say a word. Everyone seemed to have their own place to be, and the fast pace lifestyle was something else that Baron had grown used to. For he himself was no exception. Between having meetings all day, he was just moving from point A to point B. That is, until fate had something else in store. While he was pretty well grounded on his feet, the sudden push of someone strayed him from his path, as he staggered onto the road. Within seconds, he then felt the impact of the car, enough to send him a few feet backward, as he lay on his back.
He closed his eyes, taking in a few breaths which felt strained. He was winded. And shock took over. Jolting his eyes open, he saw the haziness of his surroundings. Horns honking, people shouting . . . even the man who was hovering over him sounded so far away yet as Baron's vision began to clear, apparently the man was not far at all. His apology belatedly registering in Baron's mind, recognizing that he was the one who had pushed him. In the man's line of work, any situation where he was nearly killed was seldom coincidence. This circumstance was no exception. Though . . . the man stuck around. Not very wise for one who may have just committed an intention hit and run.
Every one of these thoughts just flashed through his mind, not yet realizing he was just staring blankly. When recognition finally hit, he moved to sit up, throbbing through his body as his head spun around him. Blinking a few times, he finally managed to muster an answer. "I'm ok," he assured, able to form coherent words. Baron looked to the apologetic man who was apparently the one who had pushed him. "What happened?" Because it was better to ask rather than make a snap judgement.

Tell me, I forget. Show me, I remember
Baron couldn't say he was entirely surprised when they asked him to speak with Cage. It was clear they were making no progress with him; that whatever tactics they were using were to no avail. Baron was unsure whether he would have much more luck. But he also knew the ability to remain objective was not something so easily maintained. Perhaps that was the only advantage he had over some of the others. Never the less, he accepted the request, and it was not long until he made his way through the doors of where he was being held.
Baron gave a nod to the guard, allowing him to step out of the room. Leaving only him and Cage. Baron was not discouraged by Cage's words immediately spoken upon his arrival. "Hello Mr. Wallace," Baron began, slightly lowering his upper body, unsure if Cage saw. It was an action that his parents had taught him at a young age upon greeting another. Baron took a few steps closer, setting down the two cups of water he had brought them before sitting on the floor. It was another custom instilled in him. A connection to the ground. A sign of equality. For Baron knew he was not above nor below Cage.
He supposed the fundamental struggle that everyone faced, was who deserved to live and die. The value that each group put on human lives. "My name is Baron Tseng," he introduced, his back straight as he sat with crossed legs. "I wanted to offer my condolences, for all you have lost." Baron never believed that death was deserved. Whatever crimes a person committed, would not be absolved by ending their lives. As the phrase went . . . an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.
