Kom woda ‘so gyon op, gon woda ‘so kom daun from water we are born, to water we return A n invitation had been extended to Floukru to visit the infamous Arkadia. Home of Skaikru. Luna did not ordinarily accept such offers, but with the tense meeting of the Skaikru that had come aboard her home . . . she felt it necessary to make amends with them. Besides, this time they were not asking her to fight in a war. It seemed that they were extending a hand of peace. It was what Lincoln would have wanted, and Luna wished to honor the man that she so deeply respected.
So she had made her way to the destination, having spoken with their leader Kane. The familiarity of Clarke, Octavia, Jasper, and Bellamy. So many lives lost in this war. Luna wished for it to come to an end. She was given a tour of their home, intrigue settling into the Floukru leader at the strange apparatuses that surrounded the place. Advancements that she had never lay her eyes on.
She was introduced a man by the name of Kyle Wick who was going to further introduce her to the different materials that they used. Kane politely excused himself to deal with another matter, leaving the leader and the man. She dismissed those who accompanied her, not wanting to appear threatening to the Skaikru male. She was unafraid of the place. And unafraid of the man before her. "You help to build all this then?" She asked softly, as he had been introduced as one of the manufacturers of different devices here.

Kom woda ‘so gyon op, gon woda ‘so kom daun from water we are born, to water we return L una's hands were shaking, her entire body trembling. She was in the confines of her room, somehow mercifully offered a break from the recent fight. It was not her turn anymore. Her first round was over. It was all over. At least that was how it felt to one of the Natblida's. It should not have happened like that. She had never murdered anyone before like this, and the first person she was forced to kill . . . had been her brother. She had held his body until Titus announced the winner. Yet there was no victory felt in Luna's heart or mind. No pride or earned praise. She had just murdered her brother and . . . she couldn't do this again.
The next round she would fight Lexa, another dear friend and that was something else she could not bare. The knowledge of having to kill the others had been ingrained in them during their upbringing . . . but nothing prepared her for the actual act. Her brother. The one she had grown up with. The one that she loved. Now dead, by her hands. Is this what being Commander was? Is this what it took to be a Heda? If such was the case, then Luna could not do it. Call it strength or weakness, this was not her. She looked over the bowl of water, trying to frantically scrub her hands clean of the blood that seemed to permanently stain her skin. Her entire body still shaking, tears staining her cheeks as she struggled to breath.
The opening of her door caused her to spin her head around, fear crippling her as she thought it was one of the others to summon her back to the battle. Back to the fight to the death. And she couldn't do it. But it was Derrick. A friend. He must hate her for what she did; he must think her a monster. For she certainly saw herself as one. "I . . . " She began to breath, more tears staining her eyes as she turned her head back toward the bowl of water. "I can't go back out there," she managed to get out, sniffing once the words fled her lips. There was no choice though. Kill or be killed . . . yet at this point, she would pick her own death over being forced to kill another. She couldn't take another life. She refused.

Kom woda ‘so gyon op, gon woda ‘so kom daun from water we are born, to water we return D errick's presence was always an immediate comfort. This was not out of convenience or coincidence. He was her closest friend and had been so since childhood. She would not have been able to be leader of Floukru without him. A companion, someone so close and dear to her heart. The walk to her room was silent, comfortable. Exactly what she needed in the reminder of tonight. Once they got into her room, stepping inside, allowing the necessary privacy, he spoke the words that she had needed to hear. But then, he never failed to do that. He always knew exactly what she needed. Because he knew her. Better than anyone else. She relished in that bond.
Offering a small soft smile in response, she leaned toward him, resting her cheek against his chest as she closed his eyes, taking in the comfort of his presence by furthering it to contact. "He would have liked it here," she said in a gentle voice. If only she had fled the conclave before murdering her brother. If only they had sought refuge before such acts of violence could have been committed. It would always be her greatest regret. Closing her eyes, she wrapped her arms around Derrick, allowing herself to fully embrace her humanity in these few stolen moments. "Will you stay with me?" She asked him before he eyes looked up at him without breaking the contact of her rest rested against his chest. "I don't want to be alone tonight." Tonight of all nights, she didn't want to be alone. But she also knew that she would ask no other person the question she had now asked Derrick.

Kom woda ‘so gyon op, gon woda ‘so kom daun from water we are born, to water we return A pology. Luna should have suspected as much. It did not ease the pain though. Nor did it increase her bitterness. She did not know what to feel. It would be so easily to blame Skaikru. To accuse them that they had brought this upon her people. But what room was there in her broken heart for anger? She was mourning. Murdering the man she loved a triggering reminder of what she had done to her brother. In both instances, it was her own hands that had claimed the life. After a few silent moments, she slowly rose to her feet, turning to face the Skaikru man. There seemed to be genuine apology in his face.
In her own gaze . . . there was no anger. She strove to maintain that same composure that she had so easily found among Floukru. Yet, the place had grown a little darker with all the death that had suddenly been thrust upon them. And it may not even end here. Clarke had wanted her to take the flame. Claiming it was her birthright. Yet, did they not all have a right to live? To choose a life of peace? The blood that coursed through her veins did not change that. The humanity that she had nearly been forced to forsake when engaging in the conclave.
"Of all the losses your people must have been faced with in the wake of war, these are the first we have lost in a battle after years of peace." It was not an accusation, but a remark. A statement. That these losses, were felt. She would not fight in their war. Whether it was against other clans, or against this new threat. "If fighting is all your people know, then you do not belong here." They never should have come here, as he apologized for them coming anyway. It had been Lincoln's name that granted them passage, yet also his name that Luna held honor to. He did not want war either and whatever cost him his life . . . Luna was certain that the violence of war could be blamed for it.

Kom woda ‘so gyon op, gon woda ‘so kom daun from water we are born, to water we return J ourneys to land were rare. Particularly for the leader of Floukru. Luna knew the risks of discovery. She was not meant to be alive, and yet she was. The risk of discovery was all the stronger now as the blood seeped from her leg. The increasingly difficulty in walking posed, as Luna tried to limp forward. She could not lift the fabric to inspect the wound.
Not until she was in a secure and sheltered area. She however kept glancing down, checking to make sure the blood had not stained through. It just dampened the cloth, easily mistaken for a deep red. For now. Drawing slow breaths to attempt to calm herself, she looked around the heavily wooded area. She did not know her way around, but nor was she lost. She just needed to find shelter to inspect the severity of this. It was hindering each step so perhaps, that was telling enough. Not to mention the unusual haziness that filled her. Poison? Blood loss? She was unsure.
She placed a hand on the trunk of a tree to keep herself braced; to use the piece of nature as support. A nearby sound however caused her to spin around, dagger clutched in her hand as she held it out in front of her. There was someone approaching; someone near. Someone who . . . could discover her true identity. Her heart flooded with fear while she maintained a composed demeanour. If fate was kind, it would be a passerby who held no interest in a woman. She tried to stand up straighter, trying to show that she was not hurt as her eyes locked onto the approaching steps that drew nearer.

Kom woda ‘so gyon op, gon woda ‘so kom daun from water we are born, to water we return L una listened intently to Derrick epxlain the situaiton of the boy; their newest memvber of Floukru. The man's eyes spoke the unsaid words, a small, gentle smiling touching Luna's features in response. She looked over toward the direction of where he was being taken; where he would rest and awaken to a world void of violence. At least here, in the center of the water where they could be untouched. "He is in the right place then. In good hands, and no better place than here to heal," she stated, glad for him to be rescued from the war that plagued the land. It was heartbreaking and yet, this was all they could do.
They could only save those who could be, and the rest of the time . . . well, Luna could not be discouraged by it. Each life brought here, was a life that they could help. Her gaze met Derrick's once more when he questioned whether she was ok. He knew her far better than anyone else here, so she could not keep her burdens secret. Nor did she want to. She held no secrets from her closest companion.
"Our leader has passed," she revealed, knowing that would not be shocking. Tonight, there would be a memorial in her honor and Luna would have to reveal her decision then. "May I speak to you in private?" She asked, not wanting to explain it in public where others would catch wind of this matter. Especially when she was undecided. Though perhaps deep down, she knew what her answer would be.

Kom woda ‘so gyon op, gon woda ‘so kom daun from water we are born, to water we return L una was scared. She knew such an emotion wasn't very becoming of a potential future Heda. But . . . it was the human part of her. The part of her that was not yet conditioned to be an emotionless warrior. To focus on combat and politics, rather than the emotions and humanity. Perhaps both would be eventually stripped of them completely.
But it had not yet happened for Luna. She was unsure if it ever would. It was als why she knew that Titus did not favor her. Always telling her of such weaknesses, and that if she became Heda, it would not serve her well. She tried to take such lessons to heart, but it was growing increasingly difficult. Tonight, she just wanted company. Comnpany of someone that she felt close to. The irony of it . . . because eventually, they would be in a fight to the death. Luna's brother was among this group and that thought alone, terrified her. But despite her array of emotions, she remained composed. She had to.
Knocking on Lexa's door, she took a deep breath, unsure of what she would ask for at this late hour of night, clad in her long night own, her perpetually untamed hair, when they needed to be resting. Perhaps she would just ask for company; for a friend. She felt close to this particular fellow Nightblood. The closest out of them all apart from her own blood sibling. When the door opened she looked at Lexa, offering a small, soft smile. "I'm sorry if I woke you," she immediately apologized. "I just, couldn't sleep," she conceded, finding that the best reason to give rather than the deeper seated ones.

Kom woda ‘so gyon op, gon woda ‘so kom daun from water we are born, to water we return T oday was an anniversary of sorts. The anniversary of her brother's death. His murder. By her own hands. It was not the first as it had been some years since the incident occurred. But Luna felt it in her heart each and every year. The secrecy of her past remaining in tact, undisclosed to anyone aboard the rig . . . with the exception of Derrick.
She knew she could speak to him about what burdened her but today, it was not something she wished to focus on. Tonight there was a special feast held in place to welcome a couple new orphans who had decided to embrace a life of peace. Escaping the cursed life of a warrior, of death . . . and finding serenity here. Luna had given a small speech to welcome them. And the feast had continued on. There was music, dancing, story telling. And eventually, it drew to a close. With the other marking of this day, Luna did not wish for soltitude tonight.
She wanted the comfort of a friend. Which, she supposed that was at the very least what they were. Approaching Derrick she wore a soft smile, stopping once she was near enough to him so that she could be heard as she was not accustomed to raising her voice. "Will you walk me to my room?" She asked of him. A gentle request. It was the first series of the questions she wished to ask . . . the other, being an admittance that tonight, she did not want to be alone. Whatever that entailed, she wanted the comfort found only in his arms.

Kom woda ‘so gyon op, gon woda ‘so kom daun from water we are born, to water we return T he leader of Floukru had passed. Her loss would be felt by all those aboard this safe haven. A sanctuary for everyone who had given up violence. Her passing was not a result of a battle or war, but rather, natural causes. An illness. Luna had been close to her as she had welcomed her to Floukru after her running away. Of course she did not know of her true identity though, and Luna preferred to keep it that way. On her deathbed however, with two witnesses -- her seconds -- she asked Luna to take over.
To be the leader of Floukru. The responsibility of her request strongly felt, and yet it was an honor at the same time. Before an answer could be given, the former leader had drawn her last breath. With her hand in Luna's, and the younger female gripping onto it firmly. Her death was expected, but did not make the passing any easier. A tear rolled down Luna's cheek, as he leaned forward to kiss the forehead of the beloved leader. A mother figure to many.
Could Luna truly fulfill this role? Do it justice? Follow in such large footsteps? Hearing a bit of noise outside, indicated that Derrick had returned. Sent to land with a couple of others when signalled. Luna instructed the seconds with a few tasks before she went on the open platform of the rig to see Derrick. She needed to speak to him about this. Relief swept over her to see him returned and unharmed as she gracefully walked toward him. "Did everything go well?" She softly asked him, wanting to know if there were any complications, and whom he returned with -- if anyone.

Kom woda ‘so gyon op, gon woda ‘so kom daun from water we are born, to water we return T he memorial service was commencing soon. Everyone was getting ready, the bodies shrouded with a white cloth. For the first time since her brother, Luna felt the loss of today. Discovery of Lincoln's death had been bad enough. But now . . . she had lost the man she loved. Three people she had loved dearly, three now deceased. Her heart ached at the realization of it. She had chosen a path of violence and yet, it always managed to find her. These incidents only strengthened her refusal to become Commander.
Uncertain as to whether Clarke and the others were aware of this knowledge. And at this moment, uncaring. She wished to bury her lover and friends in peace. If taht world could ever be found again aboard this safe haven. Or a place that was meant to be one. Looking at the now covered body of Derrick, Luna felt she had cried all the tears she had in this moment.
He hand touched his clothed forehead, her eyes wary. She had killed someone she loved. Just as she had her brother. A vow of something she would never do again. She had thought. And it had cost them. She heard approaching footsteps but made no move to part her gaze from the body lying on the ground. She knew who it was from her peripheral vision. She was unsure what words she could have to offer. "The memorial will start soon. Should you wish to attend." She had watched Shay with the Skai Boy. Shay . . . a dear friend of Luna's, another love lost. tag: @jasper420 notes: first official Luna post!

| ~ • ~ | Character Basics | ~ • ~ |
.:Name:. Luna .:Nick Name:. None .:Affiliation:. Floukru .:Age:. 21
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. Perhaps the most distinctive feature of Luna is her hair. Twisted with sporadic braids and blue colored strands, it remains untamed and natural, absorbing the salty air from being out in the ocean. It is of a brown color and wavy, as she usually leaves it loose and uncontrolled. Her skin is fair, and she has brown eyes framed by thick brows. She has a tattoo on her mid arm and is often clad in clothing reflective of her clan and that of colors such as blues and browns. .:Height:. 5"8 .:Portrayed by:. Nadia Hilker
| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. Luna is often a very composed woman. She had gone from being brought up as a Natblida, to escaping and embracing a life of peace. In this peace, she found a serenity that effects her entire demeanour and the way she addresses people. She has a gentle voice, seldom ever raising it. Her words are calm, and she often wears a softer expression on her face. She has a presence of her, not one meant to intimiate but rather, have the opposite effect on a person. Despite her frequently unwavering composure, she does react when necessary. Especially in combat. She is nurturing, having a warm maternal instinct when it comes to others and taking care of them. She has a calming and serene aura that she uses to assist others. She has a deep affection for those on the rig as well as those she considers her friends. .:Special Skills:. Luna has strong skills in combat, having been trained since her nightblood status was discovered. It is not a skill she often exposes, but only does so when necessary -- mainly if there is a threat involved. She also holds the required skills of leadership, and survival when it comes to living aboard an oil rig (i.e. fishing, weapons making for these purposes, tying rope and nets, navigation skills, etc).
| ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. Unknown .:Family:. Brother | Deceased | , Parents | Unknown | .:Occupation:. Leader of Floukru .:History:. Luna does not remember much of her childhood prior to being taken to Polis with her brother. They were both nightbloods and thus, both immediately commited to a life of diligent training and combat. One among the group of Nightbloods would one day be Heda, and so they learned under the guidance of Titus as the current Commander at the time. Versed in not only combat, but politics, and the traditions of their culture. Luna was conditioned, just as the rest of them, to be a strong warrior and not let her emotions cloud her judgment or affect her in combat. Unfortunately, she deviated from this. Forced to kill her brother in a match, the murder broke her as she quickly realized that she could not do it. She could not kill. Her brother was that of blood and heart, and being raised with the others . . . she could not imagine killing any of them. The first kill she had committed, vowing to be her last.
Her next match would be with Lexa, but before it came, Luna fled the conclave, with her childhood friend Derrick. She chose a life of peace, vowing never to kill again, nor interefere with the commander. Her interest in becoming Heda practically non existant. Instead, she chose to take in others who wished to live a life void of violence, as well as orphans who's parents were killed as a result of battle. She resides upon an oil rig, her location secret and well protected. Isolated from the rest of the world, Floukru thrives, known as a peaceful clan that wishes for no discourse. She remains uninvolved in wars and politics, and has fully embraced this life of both solitude from the other clans, as well as a life of war and violence. Limited few know that she is a Nightblood, and she much prefers to keep it this way.
