Sae’s heart missed a beat as Seren told her that she loved her. So much time had passed since she last heard these words from the woman’s mouth. Few days ago, even few hours ago, if someone had told her that she would hear those words again, that she would see Seren again, she would never have believed it. And right now, they were together and her lover just told her she loved her and it just felt so unreal, she had forgotten how great it felt. Sae chuckled at Seren’s joke and said " Well… I can’t say that I don’t like the idea of us being stuck together…" giving Seren the most beautiful smile she could make right now. " I’ll certainly not complain about you keeping an eye on me" Sae said smiling again. She could understand why Seren didn’t want to let her out of sight again, she actually didn’t really want to be separated from her again because she made her feel safe. At Seren’s words about her not leaving the village at first, Sae took a more serious tone and said " Well… I don’t really think I’d be able to go for a walk in the woods for a little while according to my state…". She was aware that she needed to heal before going back to her normal life. " What if I never was ready to talk about it?" Sae questioned not really expecting an answer. She felt so selfish right now, she was lucky enough to have a chance to escape from the mountain and to feel free again and she should want to help the other grounders who were still stuck in there no matter what but she couldn't. It wasn't that she didn't want to, it was just too much for her, something blocked her, it was stronger than her. She closed her eyes and her heart acked at the memories of all those grounders trapped in small cages in a dark room in the mountain. And before she could do anything to stop them, tears were running down her cheeks, these memories being too much for her. Sae focused on Seren's words hoping it would make the terrible images in her head go away. And it did work for the moment because it was impressive how Seren had a gift of making her smile even in a moment painful like this one. " You know what? Despite all I've been through these last years, I still feel like I'm the luckiest girl in this world because even if I didn't do anything to deserve that, I have the best girlfriend in the entire world." Sae told her lover, she wanted to kiss her so bad to show her how much it was true but she didn't letting the woman she loved all the time she needed. As Seren apologized, Sae reached for her cheek and looking in her beautiful eyes, she said " Hey, it's okay, you don't need to apologize, I understand. Just tell me if you change your mind and feel the need to know, okay?" If she was totally honest, Sae hoped that her lover wouldn't change her mind because she really wasn't ready at all to relive those two years. Seren

As Seren said " Well… As long as you promise", Sae thought You could make me promise you the world and I’d do whatever it’d take to hold my promise and bring it to you… but she didn’t voice it or at least she hoped she didn’t. And as she knew that some people didn’t really care of the promises they could make to other people so a promise didn’t really mean anything anymore, Sae decided to reassure Seren by telling that she wasn’t one of these people " Just so you know, I always hold my promises." and she winked at the other girl. Feelings still in control as Seren had kissed her back, Sae’s brain was totally shut off which prevented her from asking herself questions about what just happened but let her heart speak freely " You’re happening to my heart… you, your strength, your sweetness, your beauty…" Sae gently took Seren’s hand which was resting on her chest and placed it on her heart so the other girl could feel it beating for her " This is what’s happening…" Sae said looking back up to meet Seren’s eyes. After a little moment that seemed to have lasted an eternity in the bubble where the girls were and that let time to Sae’s brain to take back a part of the control and to make her realize what happened, the archer added " But I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have done this…" not that she regreted, she did like the kiss and she would love to kiss Seren again but she didn’t want to make the pretty girl feel uncomfortable. Prefering buying some time and not taking the risk of getting caught because she tried to find out how to use the shock baton she took to one of the guards on another guard who wasn't knocked out, Sae stunned the guard with it making sure she had understood how it worked. She had figured out that having at least one of those things would help them a lot because it meant they could paralyzed anybody who came in their way. Now that she was out of her cage and armed, she was ready to fight. And she could see that apparently the other girl was ready to fight too which would make it easier. The girl had no idea how it was time to leave for Sae. She had been there for much longer than her, they had taken her much more blood than her. She had never felt that tired and weak before but still she was ready to do whatever it cost to get out of there and return to her family. That was the only thing that mattered at the moment. " Yeah, it's definitely time to get out of this hell... But we have to hurry, this alarm won't ring forever." Sae said speaking in Trigedasleng to be sure that Mountain Men didn't understand what she said. " Do you have any idea of which way we should go?" she asked the other girl assuming that since she had been here for less time than her maybe she would remember how they brought her in. Nyxie

Two years... It's been two years since Sae had been taken and hadn't see her love ones. They probably thought that she was dead now. And even if she wasn't yet, she was beginning to lose hope, she won't see Seren again no matter how much she wanted to. She was stuck in a cage without any strength left so there wasn't any more hope for her. She was destined to die in the Mountain helping the Grounders' worst enemies against her will. The next time they will want to take her blood, it will probably kill her so there was two options for Sae. Either she tried to escape but nobody had already managed to do that and as she hadn't any strength left she couldn't do this especially if she was alone or she just put an end to the pain by making sure she was taken the next time they will need blood. But her chances of escaping being very low, Sae rather considered the second idea. She couldn't endure this anymore. That was why, when the doctor as they called her and the guards who put them out of the cages and hang them upside down came, Sae moved and hit the bars of her cage. Her plan apparently worked as the doctor asked the men to get Sae and another girl who was probably not Trikru out of the cages. So the four guards made two pairs and each group went to one of the cages that had been pointed. As they opened her cage, Sae was already gritting her teeth ready to be stunned with a shock baton and then knocked out but before they did so, some kind of alarm rang. It totally distracted the guards and as she wasn't alone because the other girl's cage was opened too, she decided to try to escape hoping the other Grounder had had the same idea. Quickly, Sae jumped down of her cage and hit the closest guard to disarm him. Nyxie

Sae was glad that she managed to take the warrior by surprise but also that she could finally breathe again but she couldn't waste time rejoicing of the success of her attack, she needed to get the swords to free her hands and be able to end this fight. So she got up and ran as fast as she could with her hands tied behind her back but apparently she wasn't fast enough. The Azgeda warrior had already got up and managed to dug her fingers into Sae's wound. Sae let a groan getting out of her mouth even if she tried to stop it by griting her teeth. Her injury was already really painful and it just got worse but she couldn't let that stop her, she needed to win this fight and she will. She could feel blood running out of her forearm and it seemed like her strength was running out of her body as well so she needed to do something quickly. Suddenly, Sae got an idea and she began to step back draging the warrior with her. She accelerated and accelerated until the Nightblood hit the tree which Sae had noticed was behind them. The impact shook her up a bit but Sae quickly recovered from it and tried to make her way to the weapons once again as fast as she could. So she was once again running in the swords direction hoping she would get there before the Azgeda warrior did or did anything else to stop her. When she reached the swords, she took one of them trying to cut the rope around her wrists like she had learnt to do and she put her foot on the other weapon so the warrior won't be able to pick it up as soon as she will arrive. iah

Sae saw Seren's smile when she spoke about liking TonDC and she could understand why, it could seem stupid because it was the place where they grew up, where all their life was but Sae understood how much she loved their village now that she'd been away from it for two years. Then as Seren said that she wasn't leaving her again, Sae answered " Good, because I don't think I could be away from you again without dying... Love you so much.". Her words were true, she would be unable to bear to be away from Seren again, she'd rather die. " Yeah, maybe she will... And if she doesn't I'm going to turn her so crazy that she will beg me to go out with you." Sae said laughing when Seren talked about her mother letting her out of TonDC if she was with her. It would be great if her mother let her do that but Sae guessed it will take time for her to do so and she needed to recover anyway so they will probably have to wait before being able to go on some walks out of the village. After listening to Seren as she told her she didn't have to answer to the questions they will ask her when she will be back, Sae said " Well, I'll have to answer to these questions a day or another if I want to help our people... And I will probably never be comfortable about this... So not answering these questions now would only make it harder... And maybe once I'll have told everything I can I will be able to forget little by little..." she doubted about the last part but a part of her wanted to believe it. How couldn't she wish she could just forget about what happened during the two last years now that she was back? But first she will tell what she knew to help her people and the person who deserved to know it first was Seren but Sae couldn't blame her not to want to listen to what happened to her, she didn't actually really wanted to talk about it so when she saw her lover closing her eyes and heard her saying that she didn't want to imagine, Sae told her " Great, because I was going to tell you about this because I thought you deserved to be the first to know if you wanted to... but I see that both of us aren't ready for that..." and she felt kind of relieved about that. It was hard to make Seren lowering her guard which was a great thing for a warrior, but Sae will manage to do it. She wanted to see how the girl was when she could relax. That was why she had insisted so the other warrior would come in the water with her and just relax a little. " Of course we will... I promise I won't let anything happen. We just met, we aren't going to ruin everything already..." Sae answered as Seren asked if they will be careful. Sae truly didn't want to mess this up, she already had feelings for the other girl even if she wasn't sure she was ready to admit it. Maybe she just needed a little more time. Once they arrived at the river and Sae had dived into the water, she looked at Seren as she was stripping down to her underwear. The warrior was definitely very pretty and right now, even if the archer was doing everything she could to control her emotions, they were growing stronger and she couldn't do anything about that. While Seren just got into the river, Sae could already see that the girl was beginning to relax which made her happier. But as the warrior was getting closer to her, a smile on her face, Sae felt her emotions taking over. The girl was so beautiful, a very cute smile on her pretty face, she couldn't lie to herself telling that she didn't feel anything for Seren anymore, she had to admit it. Emotions control could go to hell. So at the warrior's words, the archer's gaze just wandered down to her lips and as she just couldn't answer, Sae closed the distance between them one of her hands reaching for the girl's face while the other rested on her hip, and she kissed her softly, hoping Seren will kiss her back. Faking to be dead was a quite a hard thing, you had to hold your breath, not to move and oppose no resistance if someone touch you or try to move you. But apparently Sae managed to do it quite well according to the warrior's reaction. As the Natblida stopped tying her, Sae prepared herself not to resist when the other Grounder will check if she was really dead or not, because she was almost sure the girl would do that. Sae had no idea how much time she spent not breathing, not moving before the Azgeda warrior finally turned her to put her on her back. When she did, the archer refrained herself from wincing at the pain she felt her whole weight being rested on her arms, one of them being injured. But the thought that her wounded arm was hidden behind her back wasn't that bad, deads didn't bleed but as the warrior couldn't see it, she won't notice that detail. As the Nightblood asked if she was dead, Sae wanted to laugh, what a strange question, but she managed to stay calm. When she heard the other warrior getting up and turning back ready to go away, Sae opened her eyes and rolled in order to kick the Natblida right behind her knees, as she did that, she said " Yu gaf!" - You wish! - Sae wasn't going to give up, even now while her hands were tied in her back but it would be easier without this rope so as the Azgeda warrior was on the ground because of the kick amplified by the surprise effect, Sae who had located the swords not far from where she was got on her feet as quickly as she could and ran to pick up the weapons to free her hands. iah

Sae had been sent on a patrol with five other warriors because of everything that had going on with the Skaikru and everything. So the group of warriors had just gone out of TonDC and walked around getting closer to Mount Weather. And what was supposed to be a simple patrol turned into a fight when Reapers circled the six Grounders. Next thing Sae knew, the six Grounders had been separated and her friend Aedan had been stabbed in his forearm. And before she could realise what was happening, Sae was hit in the back of the neck which caused her to fall on her knees and let her a little dizzy but she will be fine. At least that was what she thought. As Aedan spoke about fighting, Sae was already getting on her feet and taking her bow to be ready to shoot but she simply answered him " I think I'm gonna choose the fighting idea.". She couldn't die, she wanted to get rid of these Reapers, to go back to TonDC and go find her lover, Seren, to spend all the time she could with her. So as the Reapers attacked, Sae began shooting arrows, hurting several Reapers but she didn't have much time to shoot loads of arrows before a Reaper made a probably deep cut into her left leg causing the girl to drop her weapon and fall on the ground her leg hurting too much. The lost of blood and the pain she felt at the back of her head and in her leg made Sae feel very dizzy and weak so she wasn't sure she was conscious during the whole time they spent in the tunnels. But she did remember the moment the Reapers put them where they were now, she had looked around her quickly scanning the place hoping to find a way to escape before she got unconscious. When she woke up, she heard someone moving and then heard Aedan saying her name so she turned her head to see him and answered " Aedan... Are you okay?". Aedan

Sae was very excited at the idea of seeing her mother again, she loved her so much but being with Seren made her happier. Her lover had waited for her and had been there for her mother apparently and Sae was so thankful for that, she couldn’t ask for more. As Seren joked about Sae being lucky if her mother let her leave TonDC again, Sae laughed softly " Luckily I like TonDC." she said before taking a more serious tone to add " But I don't care where I am, as long as you are not far from me I'm good.". Sae was aware that her mother will probably want to keep her close as long as possible but Sae needed to return to her duties as a warrior as soon as possible, that was the only way she could help the other Grounders locked in Mount Weather. So what she needed to do was to recover her strength as quickly as possible. Now that she had lived the horror of the Mountain, Sae knew that the fear every Grounders was growing with was justified. But it wasn't a fear anymore for Sae, it didn't kill her but made her stronger and she will need this strength to save the Grounders who were still in the Mountain. " I know... And I'll do my best to answer them if it can help saving some of our people from this hell..." she answered her lover when the latter one told her that she will need to answer questions. Sae wasn't ready to speak about what happened to her in there, she wasn't even sure that she will be ready to do it one day but it was necessary if they wanted to attack Mount Weather to free the prisoners so she will take upon herself and relive the last two years even if it will hurt. As her story was probably going to be told in the whole village, Sae felt that Seren deserved to be the first one to know about it so she broke the silence that had settled " You can't imagine how awful it was..." she said, tears beginning to run down her cheeks as she was remembering what she lived there. Apparently, the sound of Sae's sword falling on the ground made her opponent becoming more confident than she was earlier. She was now swinging her sword around Sae who was alittle worried about what was going to happen, but the girl was just making some cuts in her clothing. But sometimes being confident could be wrong especially when you were too confident and Sae knew that. So she decided to try to take advantage of the situation by attacking the girl while she was taking some rope or something like that in her armor which confirmed her thought about the Natblida not wanting to kill her but to capture her. As the archer expected, the surprise effect was such that her opponent didn't have time to react to try to stop the attack. And even if she knew that it won't be as painful as it could have been because the arrow wasn't poisoned and had been put in the girl's shoulder by her hand and not her bow, Sae was quite proud of her because it will at least slow her enemy down.
As the girl was focusing on her wound, Sae quickly located her sword, it was next to her opponent's one. If she managed to get there, she would pick up the two weapons and it would probably be easier to capture the other girl so she began to run in the swords direction. But the Azgeda warrior being out of her sight for few seconds, the archer didn't see her jumping onto her to make her fall on the ground. With her face against the ground and the warrior on her preventing her to move her arms and her legs, Sae didn't know what to do to get out of this shituation... But she needed to try something because if her thoughts were right, the Natblida won't kill her so she didn't take many risks, plus even if what she would do made her easier to capture, she would still hve a chance to escape so she had to attempt something. Suddenly she got an idea, while she was struggling since the girl was on her, she began to struggle less and less and ended not moving at all, holding her breathe, faking to be dead hoping the warrior will fall in the trap and will just return to battle. And when she will get up and turn back to go picking up her sword, Sae will attack her again and this time, it will work!

The "faking to be dead" idea is a little bit crazy... xD So if you find it too crazy, let me know and I'll change it! ^^ |

Black blood… Now that she knew that her opponent was a Natblida, Sae changed her plan and decided to try to capture the girl and to bring her to Heda. Apparently it won’t be easy at all, this girl was a very great warrior and Sae wasn’t sure she was able to capture this girl but she had to do her best to manage to do so. She really lacked of self-confidence right now, she always had actually, and the only person who could have brought her some wasn’t here but the fact that she had managed to hurt the warrior reassured her a little. However, now that she had seen that the blood of her opponent was black, the Azgeda warrior will probably try to kill her to keep her secret safe so Sae needed to be more careful than she already was. As Sae was still surprised about her discovery and was thinking about what she should do next, her opponent took advantage of the situation and attacked her but she reacted just in time to block the attack, at least that was what she thought because she managed to block her opponent’s sword but she hadn’t seen the smaller blade, she only felt it as it made another deep cut in her forearm. The pain of the cut added to the pain of the first one made Sae bite her lip not to cry. She could feel her hold on the sword weakened even if she put all of her strength in it. She closed her eyes trying to focus on the strength she put in her sword and not on the pain but apparently it wasn't enough and her sword fell down. But she won't give up now so she tried to find something to do. That’s when she thought about her quiver still being in her back so she quickly took an arrow and stabbed her opponent in her shoulder hoping it will give her some time to pick up her sword. iah |

" Trust me, I usually come here and I’ve never seen any dangerous animal or people around." Sae said as Seren told her that animals could be more confident if people never came around and getting aware that Seren couldn’t totally trust her as they just met, she added " Our weapons won’t be far… I’m sure we are going to be fine.". Sae knew that she could seem so irresponsible sometimes when she had to deal with her emotions but things were cleared in her mind, and one of these things was that she wasn't going to let anything happen to Seren. As Seren agreed to go swimming with her, Sae smiled at her new friend, " Great!" she said and as she noticed they were arriving to the river, she began to take her weapons in order to put them all on the shore. Once she put down her weapons, she took off her clothes only keeping her underwear and then she rushed to the edge and dived in the river. She stayed a moment underwater, the coolness of the river felt quite good on this warm day. When she went back to the surface, she looked at Seren and beckoned her to come " Come on! Water is good!". Sae was totally aware that one day she will have to tell Seren about what happened to her in the mountain, but right now all that she wanted to do was to live in the moment, to spend as much time as she could with Seren. As the latter one said that Sae’s mother will be very happy to see her because she was devastated when her daughter had been taken, Sae answered " I couldn’t imagine something better than seeing the two women of my life again… So now that I’ve found the one who stole my heart years ago, the only thing that can make me happier will be to see the woman who gave me life.". Sae was very happy at the idea of seeing her mother again, her family will finally be reunited but she was wondering how her mother was going to react, she couldn’t imagine how hard it had been for her. As Seren told her that she had to eat, Sae smiled at her before saying " I will... I promise." she knew she had to gather strength because she was weak and skinny after everything that happened to her during two years. She also wanted to reassure Seren, that was why she promised. Her lover seemed very concerned about her, maybe too much but Sae understood that, she would probably feel the same if she was her. And Sae guessed that Seren will surely not be the only one to worry about her once they will be back to TonDC, she was the first one to escape Mount Weather or at least, she was the first one to come back from the mountain, it will bring hope to other families whose relative had been taken. When Seren started to walk, she was supporting such a part of Sae’s weight that the latter one could barely feel herself walking except when she had to put a part of her weight on her injured ankle. The impact of the two swords clashing sent a painful jolt up Sae's wounded arm and made her bite her lip but she didn't weakened, she tightened her grip around her sword. Then, when she kicked the warrior's leg, she saw her stumbling back but unfortunately her opponent didn't fall even if Sae seemed to have surprised her. However, while Sae could have attacked the warrior when she was still vulnerable, she chose to analyze her, trying to guess what will be her next move. As her forearm was hurted, an attack towards her upper body would be more than predictable and the warrior even if she was quite young probably knew that so Sae guessed she was going to attack towards her legs so Sae got ready to dodge the attack without showing that she had anticipaed it. Sae wasn't surprised when her opponent's sword swung around her legs, and her first reflex was to jump to dodge the blade. Jumping could appeared to be a stupid reflex but it saved her from getting hit. Then Sae took advantage of the surprise she had created at her enemy to attack in turn. While she was still in extension, she swung her blade around the warrior's left flank and as the later one didn't expected it, Sae managed to slice into her flank. She didn't know how deep the cut was but when she saw the warrior bleeding, it seemed that it was her turn to be suprised. Black blood... Her opponent was a Natblida... iah |
