3. A scared text
Gabriel was glad for the surface of the large table before him that others were sitting at. Russell had called a meeting with a few of the others. Gabriel had come early because Russell wanted to talk to him earlier than this meeting, and it was that very conversation that had his leg slightly bouncing under the table with a frantic energy. Russell had of course moved on from the conversation when the others came into the room, but Gabriel had far from forgotten. Josephine had often proved to be a very good distraction when it came to his work but this time . . . it wasn't in a good, comforting . . . arousing way.
It was more in the oh crap kind of way that Gabriel couldn't even find and tell Josephine about because he was stuck in this damn meeting! Maybe Russell intended it to be like that? Either way, Gabriel couldn't stay quiet for long. Sneakily, he pulled out his device and quickly typed out a message to Josephine. I think your dad knows about us. Gabriel knew it would only be a matter of time until he found out . . . but he had hoped they'd have found a new planet by then, so that there would be places to run.
