Be not afraid of growing slowly,
Baron wasn't sure what compelled him to make the offer he did. Perhaps it was because he had noticed Nao as each game, a show of support in itself. And thus, felt the need to return the show of support. Only in a more, academic way. Which was why when he happened to glance upon Naoya's grades, he knew that was the perfect opportunity. He didn't know Nao well, but he didn't need to. He made the offer and it seemed to surprised Naoya, which only further assured Baron that he made the right choice in offering.
It was what landed him to where he was now. With his backpack slung over one shoulder, he waited for the door to open to Naoya's place, greeting him and stepping inside. His eyes casually moved around the area, taking in the sight of his home. "Nice place." He meant it. It was a modest home, unlike his own but . . . that simply added to its charm. "Is anyone else home?" Baron asked, wondering if he should pay his respects to anyone else. He realized how little he knew about Nao, and who all was in his family. Though they were going to be studying, he also knew this was a chance to get to know the other student better.

Better the lessons when the harder you fall. The day Baron first spoke to him, Naoya felt like a deer stuck in the headlights. He hadn't been expecting it, much less the offer that had followed. Sure he'd been to all of Baron's games and constantly watched for him in the halls but Baron was smart and popular and athletic - the complete antithesis of himself. The upperclassman had no reason to notice him at all and yet it seemed as if he had. From his time watching Baron from a distance, Nao knew the boy to be as kind as he was handsome but at the same time he couldn't bring himself to think that all of this was anything else other than a prank.
Nao was definitely gullible enough to be taken advantage of and he wasn't a stranger to being bullied. Baron might never be mean on his own but what if someone had put him up to it? The thoughts still weighed heavy on his mind, even as Baron stood in the entryway with a happy smile and a polite greeting.
"Um... yeah. My parents are watching TV. We can just go upstairs..." It was obvious Nao was trying to rush Baron towards his room. His parents knew a friend was coming over but he didn't want to go through the story about how Baron took pity on his failing grades. Introductions were awkward and he'd never hear the end of it.
Naoya's room was small and well kept. Posters of animals and samurai decorated the walls, a stack of comic books sat in the corner and the only furniture being a plainly made bed and a small desk. "You can sit anywhere you want..." He mumbled, clearly flustered.

Be not afraid of growing slowly,
Baron knew he should greet Nao's parents but at the same time. . . he could tell that Nao was rushing him, and Baron was after all his guest. So without objection, he made his way to the other male's room, taking in the sight of the house on the way. Just as he did once he was inside Nao's room. Baron looked around, eyeing the posters. A room revealed quite a bit about a person, and Baron was looking forward to getting a glimpse into who Naoya was. "Nice room," he complimented, just as he did the house.
He smiled upon seeing the comic books, before taking Nao up on his offer. "I like the posters," he added on, pointing to one of the samurai ones in particular. With that, Baron casually tossed his backpack on the bed before comfortably sitting on the edge of it, his feet touching the ground as he bounced a little. "You ok?" He asked, noticing that Naoya seemed a bit . . . frazzled. "You seem . . . nervous," Baron continued. "I promise I won't work you too hard today," he added on teasingly with a continued smile on his lips.
