Walking with a friend in the dark Baron had to admit that he was rather thrilled that Naoya would be working for him. Or well, working with him in a sense. He knew the man's capabilities. But more than that, Baron trusted him. And trust certainly didn't come easy. Especially in this business. It was why Baron needed someone he could rely on. Someone he did not have to worry about being compromised. In the time he had gotten to know Nao, the man had certainly earned Baron's respect and good faith.
Otherwise, he would never have offered him this position. The illegal doings of his family's business were fading away, so it was not as if Baron had anything majorly to hide. But not all clans were heading in the same direction, and it was part of his job to manage their businesses. So having a stranger in this field was dangerous. Fortunately, he was determined to keep Naoya from getting in too deep. He wold not jeapordize the man's safety with the other clans or the law itself. When Nao entered his office, Baron rose to his feet, smiling at the other. "Ready to start your first day?" He asked him. Casually putting a hand on Nao's back, he began to lead him out of his office and towards his own. Something about this man, never failed to make Baron smile. He just felt . . . happier when Naoya was near.

I Will Learn To Be Peaceful While I Keep My Knife At My Side Naoya straightened the collar on his shirt. He'd never get used to these button downs that made him feel claustrophobic and stuffy, but this was a part of the job so he'd have to get over it. It'd been a couple months but he'd finally been rewarded with Baron's trust in the form of a close and sought after position. He could now formally call himself Baron's assistant which meant that his access into the man's life had opened wide and Nao was sure to find favor with his Leader. Naoya had been lying to this man for the entire time they'd known each other, but the anxiety of starting a new job was honest and he pushed forward a small smile.
"Please guide me," He murmured with a small bow, taking his first steps into a whole new playing field.

Walking with a friend in the dark Baron noticed the small bow along with words of request to guide him. To teach him. He smiled as Nao stepped in, allowing him a moment to take in the office. Sizable. Well equipped. Reflective of the success that his family's business held. Far more than one would assume an assistant's office to entail. Baron moved to stand next to Nao, wishing to express something. He knew the small bow was out of respect but he also knew he needed to make one thing clear.
"You don't work for me, Naoya," he began to say, turning to look at him. Baron's expression was soft; his voice sincere. "You work with me." He wished to clarify the difference. "You are first and foremost a friend. And this job doesn't change that." He did not wish for their personal relationship to be heavily effected by their business one. "Besides," he continued, casually putting an arm around him in teasing. "I don't make that bad of a boss anyway," he added playfully with a bit of a smirk, before lowering his arm.
