Rylee had heard the rumors of how Bellamy had made it down to the Ground with the 100. She knew that he had attempted the murder of their chancellor. It was unsuccessful according to Raven, but regardless, he attempted the murder of the Ark Leader...and that was huge. Thinking about it, she found it kind of hot. But she shook that thought from her head and went back to paying attention to him. He didn't tell her that exact answer, but she knew it to be true.
When he directed the question to her, she laughed slightly. "Oh boy..what did I do...I was stupid...that's what I did." She shook her head smiling and pulled another leaf off a tree. She hadn't really ever told anyone what got her locked up because she had never had anyone worth telling. She looked up at him "It was the day I caught my best friend, who also happened to be my boyfriend, cheating on me with a girl who he had assured me several times was just a friend. Being the trusting girl that I was, I believed him...until I saw it for myself." She took a deep breath. Reliving the memories was harder than she had expected. "So I ran....I ran to the only place I knew I could hide from him because I was still small enough to fit. He tried to run after me, but I was faster thanks to the training from my dad....I found a vent at the very back of the Ark, and climbed in just to escape everything. I crawled until I was above one of the command centers where he and I often hid as kids to get away from the world. Inside the vent...well we had written our initials the night we shared our first kiss...and I got angry...so I kicked it....and that's what gave me away..." She laughed at herself. "Because of my stupidity, a Cadet of the Guard found me...and pulled me right on out of that vent. So I did what I do best and tried to flirt my way out of it. He played along for a while....but he was only playing me at my own game....he ended up taking me just before I thought I had him...and that was it for me..." She looked back up at Bellamy and sighed. "Can you believe that? Seduction of a Cadet of the Ark Guard....what a crime." She laughed again. "But...I mean my dad knew that something like this could happen one day...us being sent down here and all? So...he prepared me...and he was right."
She finally found the tree she was looking for. The leaf she pulled next had white battle paint and she smirked. "This way..." She said hooking a left onto a different path. She knew that the camp she stumbled upon last week couldn't be too far now. But she hoped it was at least a bit farther...she liked this whole getting to know each other thing...It was nice to have a friend...especially one as attractive and protective as the man next to her.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy listened attentively to her explanation of what happened on the Ark. Of how she had gotten caught. Having been a cadet for the short time he was, he could understand the charges. But . . . they also were fairly ridiculous enough, as there were far more serious crimes than attempting to seduce a Cadet. Certainly not something she deserved to be locked up for, potentially floated for. He imagined that the crime could have gotten pardoned when she turned 18, but instead, they had sent her to her death, just like the other delinquents. The varying crimes all different degrees and levels of intensity.
Hers, were not as extreme as some of the others who had killed people. Though there was no judgment on his part. Not toward her, nor the other delinquents. "That's one hell of a story," he said as he glanced at her after she finished. "Guess it just goes to show the different degrees of crimes that people got convicted off. And the fact that yours, could have been pardoned had they given you the chance." All the more reason the laws on the Ark had been unjust to these delinquents. Laws that somehow made it ok to send a bunch of kids down to the ground, barley prepared for what it entailed.
"Definitely the most original one I've heard," he told her with a hint of teasing in his voice, though it also held truth . . . as it was quite the tale. "For decades people would talk about coming to the Ground. Preparing for it. What to expect. How to survive." It was why they had courses like Earth Skills, and other classes that helped educate them about it. "That preparation only went so far." Because they didn't tell them a damn thing about the Grounders. "But we're survivors. Fighters. All of us." And they would survive this. They would fight this. They were forced to be warriors and Bellamy would be damned if he went down without a proper fight.

Rylee laughed a bit when she heard the teasing in her voice. She was glad they had gotten to the "poke fun at each other stage". She pulled another leaf checking for paint as they passed a tree. "In actuality, I was probably taken for being above a restricted area....and they had been trying to find out who had been up there for years...11 years to be exact...I was just always to quick and never left much evidence of Bradley and I behind....I tried to be smart like that...I just let my emotions get in the way this time...so ever since then I try not to let people in as much...because I'm afraid I'll either lose them...or they'll hurt me...not sure which is worse.." She looked up at him and gave a sad smile but pulled ahead of him going to the next tree.
There was paint on the next leaf she pulled and she headed in that direction. They had to be close now. She knew it wasn't that far from camp if she remembered correctly. She turned back to Bellamy who she knew couldn't be that far behind her since he was so tall. "It shouldn't be much farther now." She said pulling her water out of her pack and taking a sip. She kept walking and thought of what else to ask him. There was so much she wanted to know about him now that he was starting to get to know her too.....
She looked straight ahead as she walked looking for other signs. "What did you do on the Ark? You didn't spend all your free time with me and the other delinquents in our homey Sky Box...so you had to do something..." She smiled over at him and kept walking.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy continued to listen to her explain the formal crime of what she was convicted of. "Happens," he said casually enough, when she spoke of how she let her emotions get the better of her. Bellamy knew all too well what that was like. Despite his seemingly unwavering stoic nature here at camp . . . there were moments where he broke. Granted, one of the onyl ones having been shortly after killing Dax. Which had been his breaking point. But he could understand being consumed with emotions; especially when it involved other people.
"Neither are easy," he agreed. "But losing someone can be worse." Getting hurt was a part of life. Losing someone was difficult to bare. Whether it was the emotional loss or physical loss of someone. Any loved one. Bellamy's most painful one having been his mother -- knowing it was his fault. But he wasn't about to start getting into that. She asked him what he did on the Ark, and the answer was almost laughable.
But he knew -- thanks to Raven and the others who had some sort of idea -- that his former job was going around camp. So it wasn't a big secret; no grand revelation. "I was a janitor," he said nonchalantly. He wasn't embarrassed by it, nor was he proud. There were specific reasons that he was demoted to that and his rations cut . . . though he would forever wonder why he was not floated for his crimes. Besides, it was easier to admit this job than his one on the guard. "You?" He asked, turning his head to look at her.

Rylee smiled sadly again. "I know loss for sure...definitely the hardest part about life..." She sighed and then smiled happily when she realized they were at the small camp she had stumbled upon earlier. At his comment of being a janitor, she smile. "Not a bad job to have....I was a student nurse..." She looked around at the camp and saw turned over makeshift beds and pillows, pieces of cloth left behind that were clearly used as blankets, and remnants of some kind of food and medicine. It was weird....she thought to herself. Because there should not be a turned over camp...The Grounders were much smarter than to leave such an obvious trace of their camp. "It was probably the best job I could have had...I-" She stopped mid sentence.
She walked up to fire pit and noticed it was still warm. She felt her pulse quicken. "Something's wrong..." She said and looked over at him and then her eyes went wide. She heard it through the trees before she saw it. "Bellamy....run..." She said quickly. "Now!" The fog was beginning to seep through the trees behind them. She started to run towards the small bunker she had found last week. She knew it couldn't be far. There was a rock that gave away its' location. She kept running and tried to see if Bellamy was near her. "Bellamy?" She screamed and kept running. The acid fog would kill them both if they didn't get to the bunker in time....and she couldn't lose another person in her life. She stopped and looked around for the tall older boy searching the trees. How could she lose him?
The fog was moving in quickly and she needed to find him before it was too late. She was so stupid. She had gotten distracted telling him about her...when she should have listened for the horn that signaled the fog. That would have given them plenty of time to have gotten away...and now they were cutting it close.

Tag: Rylee Rose Note: I did a slight god mod of Rylee entering the bunker! Let me know if you'd like me to edit!
whatever THE HELL WE WANT As she revealed what she had done on the Ark, they neared the small camp. It didn't seem to be a formal one, with a few overturned makeshift beds. Bellamy's hand continued to grip his gun, all too aware of everything around him. Whatever conversation that would have ensued was cut short as a sound filled their surroundings. One that was all too familiar. Acid Fog. It was fast approach, as Bellamy moved behind Rylee, the two of them making a run for it. He remained somewhat behind her; not because he lacked endurance of stamina, but to put himself as a somewhat shield between her and the fog.
So that it would pass through him first as a significant warning. A protective instinct with him, that didn't think twice when it came to protecting the others. With mapping out the area, Bellamy recalled a bunker not being too far from here, which seemed to be the general direction Rylee was going on. "Over here," he said, indicating to the left as he briefly glanced behind him. The fog was starting to close in. The second he turned back around, he nearly tripped on something from the ground . . . but it was not that which was the trap.
It released the weapon. An arrow grazed his shoulder, enough to cause a stabbing pain within Arker, yet he couldn't stop moving. He could feel the warm liquid start to pour from it, but fortunately, Bellamy had managed to dodge the arrow just in time . . . so the injury wasn't as worse as it could have been. At most, it would need stitches. He quickly caught up to Rylee, able to see the bunker at which point he rushed toward the door and yanked it open, hastily pushing her inside. Once there, he followed her and slammed the door shut behind them . . . a mere second before the acid fog would have consumed them.

Rylee sighed in relief hearing Bellamy's voice behind her. She cringed hearing the trigger of the trap. She didn't see him get hit, "Bellamy!" She said to make sure he was still with her, unaware that he was bleeding. Feeling him still behind her, she kept running hearing him direct her towards the bunker. She was glad he knew where he was going to. She could hear the fog closing in. It was getting far too close for her comfort. She felt her breath and heart beat quicken to an uncomfortable pace and she felt relief wash over her when they finally reached the bunker. Feeling him push her inside, she was thankful that she had Bellamy with her this time...because she wasn't sure she would have made it.
Once inside, Rylee collapsed against the door and took a deep breath. Closing her eyes, she waited until her breathing slowed. She was taking off her boots when she looked up and saw the blood pouring through Bellamy's shirt. "Bellamy...." She whispered softly and stood up, putting her hand gently on his shoulder. "You're hurt..." She tentatively pressed against his skin through his shirt. She looked up into his eyes. "Will you let me help you?" She asked. She could tell he was a pretty independent person who didn't seem like the kind of man that would take help from someone...especially her. But she was a nurse...it was her job to help people...especially the injured.
Rylee took a deep breath and closed her eyes listening to the fog as it passed over the trees outside. The wind was picking up. She could hear rumbling in the distance. This wasn't the end. "Even if the fog clears, we'll be here for a while.....I can hear a storm coming from the distance....we need to get you fixed up before you lose too much blood. okay?" She said softly and looked back up into his eyes. This intimidating boy who she feared the night before was vulnerable and standing before her injured. She would do anything she could to help him.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT When they were inside, Bellamy just took a moment to bask in the relief that they were both safe. That they had both made it. Her words brought attention to the sudden sting and throb of his shoulder, his head tilting downward to look at it. The adrenaline was wearing off, and left only was the pain of the wound. Rylee touched his shoulder, and he looked straight ahead once more, closing his eyes for a moment, as his jaw clenched to sustain the pain within him. To avoid saying anything out. "It didn't hit me too hard," he said dismissively, but also knew that any wound left untreated, could get considerably worse.
"As long as it's not poisoned, it should be ok," he added on. He would however need something to stop the bleeding. She then asked if she could help him, and he looked at the younger female, genuine concern in her eyes. With the storm on its way, and the fog that would take a while to clear . . . they could very well be stuck here for a while. Bellamy took a deep breath and just gave a couple of nods, already moving one arm to take off his jacket, carefully doing the same to his injured side, his face slightly twisting from the pain at this movement. "There's water in my pack," he began to explain. "And some bandages." Makeshift ones; used with scraps of cloth. He never left camp unprepared.

Rylee could tell he was in a lot of pain. It showed on his face. She felt awful that he had to be hurting. It was in her nature to be empathetic to people who are in pain. She shook her head with a small smile when he said it didn't hit him too hard and that he should be okay. "You'll always be stubborn huh?" She said with a smirk and pulled her back pack off of her back.
When he agreed to let her help him, Rylee saw that he was struggling to take off his jacket. She dropped her bag at their feet and helped him pull of the jacket without hurting his arm any further. After removing the jacket, she threw it on one of the chairs in the corner. At his mention of having supplies, she gave him a look and a gentle laugh. "Did you miss the part about me training to be a nurse?" She lifted her bag up off of the ground pulling out real bandages, water, and some mixture she had concocted that worked as an antiseptic. "I have been prepared for injuries since the moment we left camp..." She said softly and looked up at the tall boy before her.
Rylee noticed that the blood was seeping through his shirt now. "You're going to have to take off your shirt so I can see the wound..." She said quietly realizing that this man was about to undress before her. That could play heavily in her favor. But she shook that thought out of her mind because she had to put his wellbeing before her own. She walked away from him, her smirk out of his eyesight as she set up her supplies on one of the small tables in the bunker. She unrolled some bandages and opened the antiseptic and water bottle. Leaving them on the table, she turned back towards Bellamy and waited to see if he would comply with her. "I can help you if you want?" She asked coyly with a smile, referring to his shirt.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT She called him stubborn, hardly offended by the word because . . . well, he knew he was. So he didn't have much of a defense for that. Hell, he barley took it as an insult. More like . . . fact. She aided him with the removal of the jacket, suppressing a cringe when he had to adjust his arm accordingly. She spoke of how she had been training to be a nurse . . . at the same time, he knew that Clarke was the medical expert. Though, she wasn't here right now. They would have to make do. Bellamy remained focused on the situation at hand, her stating he had to remove his shirt the most logical course of action. While he wasn't shy about that sort of thing, it was more about having to divest the fabric, pulling it from his wound and once again, moving his arm along with it.
Taking a deep breath, his hand lowered to the bottom of his t-shirt and proceeded to pull it out. A heavy breath involuntarily escaped him at the movement, though did it quickly enough that it was over fast. He knew that it could have been easier with her offered help but . . . alas, he was stubborn. Gripping the shirt in his hand, he moved over to where there was the small table that she had already started taking things out on, setting it on there as his head tilted downward to look at the wound. "You shouldn't take those from camp," he told her, referring to the bandages that looked more legitimate than the makeshift one he'd assumed needed to be used. "Medical supplies should be left with Clarke." They didn't have many, but what they did have was all gathered together . . . used for emergencies. And he wasn't going to let anyone waste it on himself. "I don't need proper bandages. Just something to seal the wound." And unless it got infected or the tip was poisoned . . . it should be alright.

We are the RECKLESS, We are the wild YOUTH | Rylee rolled her eyes as she watched Bellamy struggle to take his shirt off. She was right. He was one of the most stubborn people she had ever met. And he wasn't going to let her help. That was fine with her. If he wanted to make himself hurt more, she couldn't do anything to stop him. She watched him as his skin slowly became visible and she smirked. Hearing him gasp at the pain brought her back to reality.
Turning away from him, she opened the water. She heard his words about having to leave the stuff with Clarke, and sighed. She knew that to be true. "Yes...I know. But we were coming out here with a very good chance of running into Grounders or Acid Fog....we hit both. I wasn't going to risk one of us not surviving because we couldn't do something to slow the injury. Clarke is good, but she isn't here...so you'll have to deal with me." She said turning back to face him. She wasn't phased by his comment. She knew that Clarke was also trained medically. Yes, her track was to be a doctor and Rylee's a nurse, but she took very similar training classes as Clarke. Just because Clarke was higher than her didn't mean Rylee didn't know as much.
Putting some of the water on a piece of cloth, Rylee walked back towards him. "I have to clean it first okay?" she said looking up at him. She wasn't going to let his stubbornness affect how she took care of him. "I have something that should help it heal, but I have to get rid of all the blood first." She didn't touch him until he said it was okay. She didn't want him to snap at her again. She looked up at him, a gentle soft look in her eyes, but if she could she would smirk. His body was definitely one that she didn't mind seeing. But she couldn't let his attractiveness distract her...yet. She had to fix him up, then she could play. She wasn't sure if he would join in, but knowing what she had heard about him, maybe he would. Time would only tell. |

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy lacked the desire to argue regarding supplies, and preparation. So long as they had the bare minimum, it was usually alright. Anything else would require the supplies they had back at camp. All he knew was that he wasn't going to waste those bandages on his wound. He would settle for what he brought. His injury would not be the last and someone who had a more severe one would be in need of the supplies. She then spoke of cleaning the wound. Glancing down at it again, he quickly tried to assess the damage. He moved so that he was standing in front of her, giving a bit of a nod.
"Yeah alright," he conceded. No sense it letting it bleed out. If it was a fixable injury, then all they need do was clean it and bandage it up. "So long as it isn't poisoned, should be ok," he added on. They had seaweed back at camp for infections as well. Finally, his eyes locked onto hers, an expectancy in his gaze as he slightly raised an eyebrow. "Let's get this over with," he said in a low voice. He hated being a patient. He hated having to get treated for injuries. He hated . . . anyone needed to tend to him. But alas, as he had already recognized, this could be something easily and quickly fixed . . . hopefully.

We are the RECKLESS, We are the wild YOUTH | Rylee watched as the tall man moved closer to her. She was tiny compared to him but it was much more noticeable when he was this close...and this naked. Hearing him say she could help, she looked up at him and smiled seeing his eyes already matching to hers. Well maybe he wasn't as stubborn as she thought. "Let's get this over with," Until he said that...he was still pretty stubborn. She stood on her tip toes and gently pressed her fingers around the edges of the wound looking for any signs of poison or infection. "I don't see anything that looks like the arrow was poisoned....I think you're safe. But I'll check later or if you feel any new pains or anything. But I think you're good." She said standing back on her flat feet.
She wrapped the cloth in her hand so she wouldn't touch his blood too much or contaminate his wound with her hands. Lifting her hand to his chest, she steadied herself with her other hand on his bicep, she tried to divert the thoughts that were in her mind as her hand grabbed his muscle gently to keep herself from falling as she stood on her tip toes again. She pressed the wet cloth against his wound softly trying to remove as much blood as possible in as little time as she could. A distraction seemed like a good idea. "I usually talk to distract people from pain....so let's see.." She thought of something she could talk about. "I lost my mom when I was six...." She knew it was a morbid topic, but maybe her pain would distract him from his. "I was in our little apartment one night when I overheard my parents talking quietly in their bedroom area. Turns out my mom was pregnant again and there was no way she was going to be able to hide it. She was caught not even a week later....I never found out how the Ark guard found her...but they did. When they questioned my dad if he knew about it, he denied it in front of me and my mom. The following morning she was floated right in front of me and my dad. For years, as close as I was with my dad, I could never forgive him for telling the guard that he had no idea my mom was pregnant..." She had gotten most of the blood to stop and leaned over to grab the antiseptic mix she had created to help prevent infection, pouring it onto the rag again, and continued to pour her heart out.
"...I know he knew because he was in the bedroom with her when I overheard her that night. It wasn't until I was 12 that I discovered her journal that she kept. She told my dad to lie to the Guard if they asked about her and the baby. She wanted to protect me from having to live alone. She knew that if my dad got floated to, there was a good chance that the Ark would just throw me in the SkyBox one day to preserve supplies because there would be no one around to protect me. So she asked him to lie so that I could live." She pressed the antiseptic into the wound gently hoping to divert his attention away from it by continuing to talk. "Even though my mom was floated because she was going to have another baby, Robert I found out his name would have been, I like to think he was a boy," Rylee smiled softly at the thought. "I feel like it was my fault that she had to float alone....and I feel like my dad looks at me now as the reason he couldn't die with his wife protecting her until the end and I'm just a living reminder that the mother to his child, is dead." She could tell that Bellamy would rather use his own bandages, so she grabbed them from his bag and wrapped two of the longer ones tightly around his shoulder to keep any more blood or anything else from seeping out."There....all done!" She said as she finished tying off the bandages, gently of course, as not to irritate his skin. "So...did my despair help distract you from yours?" She said with a small sad smile, checking the wound area over one last time before looking up at him again. |

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy remained still, stoic, as she began to clean his wound. He was of course appreciative of the effort she was putting into it. She didn't have to, and he wasn't often used to other people taking care of him. Letting them take care of him. Even his sister. He was used to doing it for others, but it felt . . unsettling, to allow it to be reciprocated. Though of course he showed no sign of this. Right now, it was the better option. He had to think of the bigger picture. He'd be of no use to anyone dead, and he still needed to make sure Rylee got back to camp safely. The threat of Grounders limited them significantly. He remained silent as she spoke of her upbringing; the reason he mother was floated. It was of course a sensitive subject for Bellamy.
Not so much because he had lost his own mother, but because of the reason Rylee's mother had been floated. A second pregnancy. He had been a boy when his mother had told him about Octavia . . . not fully grasping the reason they couldn't tell anyone. Fighting the urge every day not to mention it, even just out of pure excitement. Bellamy had thought that perpetual fear would be over when the baby was born; but it only intensified. Because they had two lives to protect. Two lives that Bellamy had failed. He would never understand why he wasn't floated for his own crimes. He had been guilty as well, for protecting Octavia, and yet . . . he would do it all over again. Because he couldn't imagine his life without her.
He could also understand what it was to blame oneself for the loss of a loved one. Still, Bellamy remained silent, until she stated that she was done, and then asked if hearing about her own pain helped distract him from his. The physical pain of his wound was hardly anything compared to the emotional pain of past events. "Not really," he said honestly, though a faint, slight smirk appeared on his face. Bluntly spoken words, and though true, held a hint of teasing. "Did talking about it make you feel better?" He asked with genuine curiosity. Sometimes it helped for the delinquents to vocalize their past, talk about it, have an environment of support since they only had each other now.
His eyes looked down at the wound as his hand grazed over the bandage for a moment. It felt secure enough. He then raised his gaze to meet hers once more. ]"It wasn't your fault, you know," he added on. "Your mom didn't want to get rid of the baby, and that was a choice she made. You never had a choice. We do what we gotta do to protect the people we care about." Which was why he father had lied about it. "Losing one kid is something. Your father had to protect who he could. I'm sure he doesn't blame you for that." She wasn't directly responsible for turning in her mother; for revealing the second pregnancy. And that was a guilt that Bellamy didn't wish upon anyone. It was a suffocating burden to carry; an agonizing weight. A devastating guilt.

We are the RECKLESS, We are the wild YOUTH | Rylee looked up at him as he said that her pain didn't really help. She smiled softly seeing his slight smirk. He was starting to tease back. That was a good sign. Maybe this friendship thing could actually pan out. Rylee started to put the supplies back in their respective packs when he asked if talking had helped her. She laughed softly. "Honestly? I've never really told anyone that before...." She turned her head to look at him. "So yeah....I guess it did." She gave him a shy smile and turned back to what she was doing. Thinking about it, she really had never needed to tell anyone what had happened to her. She wasn't sure why she decided now was a good time. Maybe she just felt some kind of connection with Bellamy. She couldn't be sure, but it did feel good to finally tell someone. "Sorry it didn't help you though." She said smirking and then it turned into a full smile as she walked back towards him. "I promise I was trying to distract you." She double checked the bandages again just to be sure they were in place and his hand reached for the bandages at the same time. She felt her cheeks blush, but took her hand away and then turned her eyes back to his as he spoke.
His words hit her heart hard. For years she had felt like it was her fault that everything had happened. If she hadn't been there to be worried about, then her mother and father wouldn't have had to make those tough decisions. "I know you're right...but it's hard to tell myself that after feeling that way for so long. I was only 6 when I lost them...and for so long I thought it was all my fault..so it's hard to let go...even now knowing that it had nothing to do with me. You know?" She shrugged and looked down at her hands. "My dad would never blame me for anything...I know that. He treated me like an angel when I was up there with him. I didn't deserve it." She laughed sadly. "And I ruined everything he worked for and everything he taught me only to get locked up over some stupid boy." She shook her head and let a small smile, though still sad, pop through.
Rylee sighed. "Well!" She let her smile return. "Now that I have taken the time to depress you, how about we talk about something a bit lighter hmm?" She said and plopped down on the bed that was in the bunker. She was never one to linger on something sad for too long. She liked to be happy and light hearted.
The mattress was surprisingly soft and much more comfortable than what she had been sleeping on at camp. She patted the spot on the bed next to her and pulled her legs to tuck up under her butt, hugging a pillow to her chest. "Tell me something. Something that I would never guess would be about you. Surprise me. Shock me" She laughed sweetly and leaned back against the wall, looking at the man before her. She was ready to see where things would go....
