Winter came more unexpected than anyone could have predicted. The Arkers had started to gather provision in time so they had sufficiently stocked up for now. They thought they had a bit longer though. So far there had been no sign of snow or anything of the likes. It appeared it was not cold enough yet. But at this night Clarke Griffin woke up from the cold. She had kicked off her blanket in her sleep it seemed – or someone stole it. Either way she felt the cold and woke from it. Normally inside the tent was only lightly illuminated by the lights the Camp left on for security as they lived a bit away from the main gate, but tonight the shine was different, curiously different. It wasn’t a fire.
Clarke got up as silently as she could so she would not wake the light sleeper named Bellamy next to her. Slowly she snuck out of their tent only to stop once outside. Thick white flurries fell from the sky. They already settled on the ground, creating a thick blanket of snow. Snow! This was the first snow Clarke ever saw and felt. It was as cold as they said. She watched the flurries that had fallen onto her hands melt. It was so beautiful. Yet so very cold. It came early. They thought they had a bit longer to stock up on furs and whatever could protect them from the cold. Especially Bellamy and her had to stock up on that soon. It was almost painfully cold. But for now childish joy reigned in her heart. It was still dark, the camp was mostly asleep, safe for the guards. She couldn’t help it. Clarke scooped up snow from the thick blanket – it was at least 10 centimeters already. Still sneaking around, she brought the snow inside and with a broad grin dumped whatever she had gathered of the white substance onto Bellamys head.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy wasn't a deep sleeper, but he had been deep enough to not hear Clarke leave the tent. Usually, he was quite alert to all movements around him, but with the snow and cold . . . most others who usually threatened them, were practically in hibernation. The weather was too cold to have battles during, which was a welcome change. Perhaps it would alter and they would be seen as vulnerable at the time, but so far, that hadn't happened. And Bellamy hoped it stayed that way. But for the time being, he was sleeping in the shared tent with Clarke.
What he did wake up to was a rush of cold that took over his entire face, numbing it for several moments. "Shit!" He jolted up from the pure shock of the freezing substance, shaking his head a little. It took him only moments to realize Clarke standing there, clearly amused with herself. When the shock wore off enough to react, he grabbed her arm and pulled her town on the bed, turning himself so that he was on top of her while each of his hands went to hers, pinning her down. The two of them were together, but without anyone else's knowledge, which was why he knew he could get away with doing this. "I hope you know I'll get you back for that princess," he told her, leaning down to kiss her lips. Her lips, her face were all cold. "Damn it, even your hands are freezing," he pointed out, though didn't make any move to get off from his position on top of her.

Clarke grinned at her boyfriends reaction to the snow. That was exactly what she had been trying to achieve with this. This was the very first snow for the two of them – unlike he secretly experienced snow elsewhere. Clarke wanted to share this with him, which was far from easy, due to the secretive nature about their relationship. They did not want people to find out about them just yet, enjoying it being just the two of them, which was why outside of their tent they were just friends, barely touching and certainly not kissing, even hugging only in select circumstances.
With a gasp she felt herself being pulled onto the bed. It turned into a giggle soon as she noticed what he was doing. Pinned down on their bed – really just two beds being put together and slightly hid behind fabric – she couldn’t keep a grin off her face and certainly not when he kissed her, just before complaining about how cold she was. “Snow does that.” She announced, with almost childish joy just about that. “Besides, you stole my blankets, but that’s not the point. Bellamy, it’s snowing. It’s snowing for the first time. Come out and look with me before everyone else wakes up.” Before they had no chance of just enjoying those moments together anymore. Clarke made a mental note to herself to build the wind protection she had had in mind for a while. It would just be a fence reinforced with fabric, but in the end it would protect the fire they had going in the evenings from wind – and them from curious eyes. The other side already had the pile of wood to protect the fire from wind.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Snow. Now that was something Bellamy never thought he would see prior to coming here. But the fact that it was just outside of them . . . well, it was rather incredible. He just wished it didn't have to be so damn cold, but it was fascinating enough to be worth it. She then accused him of stealing her blankets before encouraging him to go outside with her to see it; to enjoy it before the others awoke.
"Only if you promise to properly warm me up when we get back inside," he told her suggestively with a bit of a smirk. With that, he released his hold on her hands and reached over for his shoes. He had to admit, seeing snow was a rather exciting thought . . . more so than having it dumped on his face. "For the record, I didn't steal your blanket," he stated with teasing defiance. "Don't even know why you need one when you got me," he added on, as if encouraging her to use whatever body heat he could provide her with . . . which they did, but he still liked being playful with the idea.

As if he didn’t steal her blankets. She could see at least one in the pile tangled around him. Sometimes he was a hard man to sleep with – literally. Sometimes they could cuddle for hours, but then nightmares gripped them and both ended up on one side of the bed, sometimes stealing each others blankets, though Clarke was half sure she did more of the stealing than he did, not that she was every going to admit to it. “Well if you’d have held me, I wouldn’t have woken up from the cold, would I?” She scrambled up from the bed, grinning just before giving him a light slap on the ass. It was just too inviting the way he stood there.
Clarke then giggled and went outside. To her own surprised things had changed. She could barely see the other tents, only light grey outlines remaining, obscured by the thick flurries falling fast. This was a full on snow storm, she realized. Even the amount of snow on the ground had changed. If it kept snowing like that, it would soon reach to her knees. Clarke turned to Bellamy, grinning. “I guess we will have to deal with a lot of snow this winter if this is what it will look like.” She trusted the guards down at the fence to ring alarm should anything get really dangerous with the snow.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT He suppressed a playful eye roll at her remark of how if he had held her, she wouldn't have woken up from the cold. "I'll fix that soon enough," he teased before she lightly hit him which caused him to make a face . . . though wasn't entirely opposed to the gesture. Once he was adequately dressed, he followed her outside, in awe at the site before him. It was like a white blanket had covered the entire crowd. He had to admit, it was quite beautiful. He squinted through the snow, the coldness of the weather immediately effecting him, but it was so worth it. He had only heard about snow through stories but this, this was real. They were here to witness it themselves. It was utterly remarkable.
"Yeah," he confirmed, moving a few steps forward. "I hope what we have lasts through this season." Surely there were winter animals, worst case, that they could hunt. He held out his hand, catching a few of the snowflakes as he watched them disappear. It was cold; really damn cold. His eyes went to the blanket of snow on the ground, seeing the way it was quickly piling up. A mischevious grin formed on his lips as he scooped up a handleful of snow from the ground. Damn it was freezing, but this was going to be worth it. He walked up to Clarke, approaching her from behind and with one hand slightly moved back the fabric of her clothes to create an opening, in which he dumped the snow in his other hand down her back, a chuckle emitting from him. "Guess this means we're even," he added on, clearly pleased with himself.

Clarke moved a little forward, watching the snow in fascination. She hoped the guards really had everything under control as it piled up. She tried to remember what the books back on the ark said about winters, how people survived them here. They had food and there would be animals who would still be about even in the winter. Then there were a few odd plants that could be eaten, despite being without taste or disgusting. As long as it kept them alive. Thanks to the crashed station they had even more food from that. It could last. But tents were impractical in winter. Something needed to be done about that. She was just about to say something when she felt him tug at her shirt. Clarke smiled, expecting a kiss on her neck, since this was a rare moment in which they could show affection outside of the tent. Instead cold snow was dumped in her back.
She squeaked, probably loud enough to wake the occupants of the closest tent. Frantically she jumped up and down to try and get the snow out. As it melted it left behind a soft stinging, that she barely knew, but could still associate to the cold. Shit. Shit. Shit. “OH MY GOD. That’s so cold.” And now her shirt was soaked. Great. She felt the coldness immediately creep into her clothes. Added to the missing gloves and additional protective shelter she started to shiver slightly. “You ass. You will warm me up! No shirts allowed!” Damn him. And she knew he would love that one. “I think we need to do something about the tents. If it keeps snowing like that… I don’t want to imagine what it will look like. We certainly have to reinforce them. And then after winter build cabins.” So much for a quiet moment together. The leaders always shone through.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT He couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction, finding it absolutely adorable. "You're lucky you weren't sleeping," he added on, like what she had done to him. But if it granted them this time together, then he was extremely glad that she had woken him up. He was quite amused at the sight before him, and her next words of 'threat' . . . well, they were hardly a threat. "How did you know that was exactly what I had in mind?" He asked her with a smirk as he moved closer to her.
"By the time we're done, you won't be cold. Hell, you'll be sweating," he stated, his tone very suggestive and well, it was quite obvious what he was implying. The thought nearly made him drag her back to the tent right now, but who knows when they would have this chance again to be out in the snow together . . . in a storm at that. She then spoke of needing to build something more concrete rather than the tents.
"Yeah, you're definitely right about that. More people are gonna start getting sick in this weather." They had very limited space within the walls of what was left of the Ark. "The wind doesn't help either." The tents wouldn't withstand much of this. "We might need to think of a faster solution." They had furs, but that wasn't going to give them shelter at night. He should have anticipated this better and at least worked on building cabins before winter hit them this hard.

“I know where your mind goes, Blake.” With the time they’ve been exclusive a couple of course she knew where his mind went. She knew him inside out by now. It was wonderful, but sometimes also slightly exhausting to hide this. Especially when he was hurt and she just could not do anything apart from cleaning up his wound. But as far as moral support went anything beyond friendship was taboo and she wanted to kick him for that most of the time. Stupid secrecy, but they needed it. Their people could not doubt their devotion to the task of being there for them.
“They could always stay in the Alpha station. Should be enough room if it comes down to it.” Though she didn’t like the idea for the fact that she might lose privacy for an entire season. She did not like the idea at all. It meant they might drift apart. Not something that should happen. Clarke felt herself shiver. As nice as it was to see the snow, it was damn cold. “There was something in a book… called an igloo or something… We should look into that. But for now: I’m freezing. I’ll go steal your covers!” With that the blonde turned around to go back into the tent, which was cold as well. She took off her clothing, especially her cold and soaked shirt, her jeans and crawled into bed in just a bra and panties. Clarke, like she announced, took her and his blankets and snuggled under.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT He smiled at her remark of knowing where his mind went. "Can ya blame me?" He asked rhetorically. He loved her, and she was gorgeous. How could a guy's mind not go to that? Then again, if any other guy's mind went to that regarding Clarke . . . well, Bellamy wouldn't be too willing to let that slide. She suggested them all staying in Alpha station, and while he knew it was safe . . . he also didn't want to lose his tent. No, not the tent in particular, but the privacy it gave him and Clarke. Where else could they allow themselves to be together? It was difficult enough with everyone constantly surrounding them. "True. We'll have to if it gets to that." A last resort. She spoke of igloos and he looked at her curiously. But before he could further inquire into it, she told him that she was freezing and threatened to take his covers.
He smiled as he watched her run inside. He followed suit, though found his movements more difficult, the snow weighing him down. She was at least light she could move easily through it. He would have to get used to this though, considering it was going to be like this for the next little while. Once he got inside the tent he saw she had indeed made good on her threat. He saw her clothes on the side . . . which indicated that she wasn't clad in much. Perfect. He proceeded to pull off his jacket before moving to her, kneeling next to her. "I thought we agreed you had to help warm me up," he said as he held the edge of the blanket, attempting to pull it down. He didn't care about the blanket. He just wanted to see her . . . and have her be the one to warm him. He then proceeded to move one layer of his shirt, clad in another underneath. "Come on, Clarke. It's pretty damn cold," he said a bit playfully.

They had to find a solution just for them. There was no way she was moving into the station, simply due to well, for once, egoistical reasons: She did not want to lose this. He was grounding her. She needed him in more than just as man to love her. He was, well like the novels said, her soulmate or at least in her mind he was. This was why she clung to this hidden relationship. They could reinforce the tent. Or get started on a cabin if they had to. This playfulness, this ease was not something she was about to give up for an entire season, which could easily be three months. Not something she could endure. The kisses was something they could sneak in, but it was not what they needed. She needed his arms around her, she needed him to ground her.
“Have we?” she asked, though of course she would. She was playing, just like he was. While he tried to pull the blankets down, she just clung to them. There was no way he was going to get those away. Warming up would only happen underneath them. Thanks to the snow it was just too cold and he felt it. “I know. Lose the shirt and come under the blankets.” Despite still clinging to them, she’d let him under, of course. “Hurry up.”

whatever THE HELL WE WANT He looked at her with feigned disbelief when she innocently questioned the agreement they had. Though, he supposed it was more like something he decided. She then told him to lose the shirt and climb under. He didn't need to be told that twice. He pulled off his shirt before climbing under the covers with her, huddling close to her as a smile formed on his expression. "Now that's much better," he said contently.
His hands moved to wrap around her under the blanket, one hand skimming over her back as he casually undid her bra, starting to remove it from her. "Best to remove all clothing," he smirked as he tossed the article of clothing to the side. One hand continued to rest on her now completely bare back while the other began to move down the front of her body, skimming along her chest, trailing down her stomach until he reached the lining of the last piece of clothing she was clad in.

Typical. So typical Bellamy. “Insatiable.” Clarke whispered against him, her lips finding a trained shoulder to kiss him there. Honestly it was below freezing, yet he still thought about sex. Her mother would probably want to behead him for it. Good thing she just didn’t know. And she would not know for a long, long time, if ever. Because Clarke happened to be exceptionally fond of him and what they had. She still remembered different instances, pure passion, making each other feel alive just with that. That too would be lost in the station. Nope, she’d not move there. She’d not lose the sensation of his hand on her back, of his chest pressed to hers, of their breath against each other.
“Isn’t it kind of… counterproductive? It’s freezing and we’re undressing.” But then again they were providing each other with warmth like that, as long as they were this close. Clarke lifted her leg. She used her very cold foot – on purpose – to push down his pants just enough so she could place her foot against his well formed behind. He couldn’t miss the mischievous grin on her face, she was sure.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Insatiable she said? "Damn right," he smirked in response. He hadn't wasted much time upon arriving here when it came to . . . physically being with a woman. But being with Clarke was so much better, and deeper than that. He was with her not only physically, but emotionally as well. And having developed those feelings for her before any physical intimaccy made it all the more powerful and passionate. Each touch, such as the kiss she placed on his shoulder, made his desire for her grow all the more.
He never could get enough of her . . . so insatiable was indeed quite an accurate description. "It's not like you're totally innocent," he teased, his lips moving to her neck as he kissed along the planes of it. It caused him to move his position so that he was more on top of her rather than just merely next to her.
She then questioned on how this was counterproductive, as it was freezing and they were removing clothing. Yes, he supposed he could see it from that perspective . . . but it wasn't without a solution. "That's because we're not being physically active enough," he said with a smirk. "I know a way we can fix that," he added on, his hand moving to her cheek while his other was still dipped between them. He heavily exhaled when he felt her foot move his pants down, before pressing against his rear.
His body already felt heated so her cold foot didn't feel the slightest bit uncomfortable. He didn't overlook the expression on her face either, which only made him lick his lips, needing to quench his thirst for her. He kicked off the rest of his pants that were already at his ankles, while his hand pulled off the lower layer she was wearing, adjusting her knees so that he could get it off of her. His lips went to hers, kissing her deeply while gently nudging her legs apart a little to settle himself properly between them.

“Never claimed to be innocent.” Hell she was far from it. Out of the young female delinquents here, she might have had the most partners, so she was far from innocent, but unlike the others she had been in a somewhat committed relationship with each person – it was not her fault if one of them lied to her. Bellamy though was different. He was the first to fully open himself to her, to not only be with her, but share a part of his soul for her, to show her his inner scars as well. It made him all the more attractive to her, made her want him more, to know this man was hers, wanted to be hers and only hers, even though they both wanted to keep quiet. And she knew why. This was just between them, the layers the other knew, should not be known by anyone else.
“You know when the last time was you properly seduced me?” Clarke questioned softly. Not that she minded him moving between her legs like that. They were comfortable with each other enough to be fairly casual about sex, need being need and gladly fulfilling it. Only sometimes she wanted more. And he usually gave her that. She couldn’t complain, yet sometimes she poked him, sometimes she couldn’t help it. “If we keep this up, we won’t need to move into the Ark. Do you have the stamina for that, Blake?”
