whatever THE HELL WE WANT Furthers back tent. That seemed like a place for the most privacy . . . her next suggestion brought a smile to his lips. "Sounds romantic," he stated. The idea of building a cabin. Though truth be told, it was a good idea. It would allow them the proper privacy during winter and well, they had to start establishing themselves eventually. Not just for winter, but in general. They needed durable shelter and it was clear that they weren't going anywhere. "We should though," he agreed on a more serious note. "We're going to have to eventually build proper shelters. Our cabin would be a good start." A home for them. He quite loved the idea of it. Having a home together, a place for just the two of them. He couldn't refrain from letting out a small chuckle of amusement at her insistence on not calling her mother mom. He had no intention of actually doing that, but Clarke's reaction had made it worth the suggestion.
"You sure?" He asked teasingly. "I'm going to be the closest thing she has to a son," he added on, still teasing the idea. He didn't plan on referring to her as anything but her first name. It was far too odd to call her anything remotely close to a parental figure. Upon Clarke's suggestion of calling Octavia sister . . . and then her decapitating her for it, well, it caused the amused smile to rest on the male's lips. "You're right about that," he agreed. "Though you have to admit, it is kind of neat to think that she'll be the first and so far, only sister in law in this camp." Because no one else had siblings. The one child per family rule made sure of that. But Octavia and Clarke would have a bond that was unique . . . that is, until Clarke mentioned Lincoln practically being his brother in law. It made the amused smile fade from his lips.
"Let's deal with one union at a time." The thought of Octavia having a husband was . . . unsettling. He knew the two of them were in love, but it still felt, weird. To think that his baby sister was . . . no. He couldn't think of that. "I think it'll be good for Lincoln to be there." He respected the man, and knew he was good for Octavia. But that didn't mean he was ready to start considering him a brother in law and husband of his sister's. "But let's just focus on our marriage before taking in other in laws." Brother in law. Damn. He knew it was only going to be a matter of time before it happened. Octavia deserved all the happiness in the world . . . but Bellamy couldn't help but feel the need to have a proper chat with Lincoln. Perhaps it could be blamed on the protectiveness he still felt over Octavia, whether she actually needed it or not.

“I didn’t mean to imply they should marry any time soon. Your sister is what? Only 16 or 17, she’s not allowed yet and certainly not without your consent. The underage thing. She can wait the last year. I don’t he’ll leave her anytime soon.” They had been through so much already. A marriage might be just a formality for the two for them as well, just like for them. Life was about more than just signed papers. But in terms of legality and peoples ability to tear them apart, they still needed those papers, especially her and Bellamy. They were together, but not openly, not yet. The marriage in this case was to protect themselves and each other.
“And they don’t have to hide anything. Everyone knows they love each other. Nobody is against it or well those who are, are too scared of either her or Lincoln to speak up. Your sister is fine.” Clarke started to draw a little invisible landscape on his chest. She did that sometimes when she started to dream. Right now her mind was going back to the Ark and a certain man in her life. He would have loved to be at her wedding. He would have loved Bellamy, Clarke was sure of it. He’d see what a good man he was and love Bellamy like a son. Yeah, Bellamy would have been able and encouraged to call her father Dad as well, especially if he found out his own father wasn’t around for long. “You know my Dad would have adored you, Bellamy. He would have probably been your biggest fan ever.”

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Not allowed. Bellamy almost scoffed with amused at the term. He had learned almost immediately since arriving that Octavia was going to live out the rebellious streak she had been deprived of her entire life. He just hadn't anticipated it would be by embracing another culture. "Those rules that disallow her from marrying before 18, are the same ones that kept her locked up her entire life." Rules that had cost a lot of people their loved ones.
"She's adapted more to Grounder culture and customs, and I have no idea if there's an age they have to be to get married." He didn't blame Octavia for defying the laws of the Ark, and embracing another culture that the man she loved was a part of. But it only made him less uncertain about her intentions in the future. When they would get married, where that would take them, and so on. It was why he knew he had to have a proper conversation about Lincoln regarding the entire thing. "I agree that she should wait, but it's gonna be because she wants to, not because she has to." With or without his consent, taking into account or not the laws of the Arkers . . . Octavia would do what she wished with Lincoln. Bellamy had already accepted that.
Besides, Lincoln was good for her. He couldn't exactly find a legitimate reason to object, other than the fact that he believed no one would ever be good enough for his sister . . . but he imagined that was a natural feeling to have toward a close family member. His eyes followed her finger as she moved it along his chest, her words causing him to look at her, surprised to hear them though he supposed it was more the honor associated with it. To know that her father would have liked him was an honor indeed, and he couldn't help but form a smile reflective of this feeling and the sentiment of it.
"It would have been an honor to know him," he stated. Bellamy had never had a father or a father figure growing up. He had no idea what it was to have one, though having lost a parent . . . he knew what it must have felt like to lose him. "It means a lot, to know that he would have approved. Didn't think I was a parent approved kind of guy," he joked. Considering they had no idea how her mother was going to react . . . it meant all the more to know Clarke was confident that her father would have liked him. "Do you take after him a lot?" He inquired, hoping she didn't mind the question, and prepared to change the subject just in case.

“We don’t even know if Grounders get married.” Clarke pointed out. Up in the Ark and here on earth before the apocalypse a marriage was a contract that was meant to be beneficial to both spouses, whether it was for taxes back then or for favors up on the Ark, like housing and permits for children. The Grounder culture might have gotten rid of those kinds of unions and just become a bit freer. Clarke wanted to find out about it. For her and Bellamy marriage would be following customs and it would be mutually beneficial in terms of being taken serious and informed about the other, even when it came to it. It would be so interesting to find out about it, but given the way their relations were strained at the best of days, it would take a while for them to find out about this, unless Lincoln wanted to share about it.
“My Dad wasn’t like any other Dad. Privilege didn’t matter to him. He loved every person equally. He would have adored you, even on the Ark. As long as you loved me and cared for me, he would have been your fan. And if he found out about Octavia, he would have been your biggest fan.” He would have loved to help Bellamy and his mother with Octavia. Her dad was an idealist, which made it so much harder for her to lose him. “I don’t know. I think by now a lot of what I had from him is lost, killed by this world. He was an idealist. He believed in the good in people. I… know there are depths of bad in every person. I…I’m disillusioned. I wish I could have introduced you to him.” By now she wished she could have turned back time with a lot of things. “Maybe his spirit watches over us and I’m sure he approves.” She wished he could be there for her wedding, but he couldn't. They could however do something else. "We should do something for your mother and my dad." Clarke propped herself up on her elbow to look at her fiance. "We could release two sky lanterns." whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy listened intently to Clarke explain about her father. For privilege not to matter to smoeone was indeed a rarity, but he was could see that . . . because he saw it in Clarke. He felt that same sense of honor, hearing Clarke explain that her father would have liked him. Adored him even. Bellamy didn't know what it was like to have a father. If only fate had been kinder to her family. And his for that matter. He couldn't help but smile at her words. "I think the feeling would be mutual. Sounds like a good man." Which he knew was an understatement. He didn't really know anyone else who would have been a fan of keeping Octavia, but her father clearly didn't discriminate, as Clarke had just pointed out.
"Me too," he said in a quiet voice when she spoke of how she wished she could have introduced them. Just as he wished he could introduce Clarke to his mother. "Though I'm sure I'll get to know him, through you. I'll see parts of him, every day, in you." It was like his mother and Octavia. He saw so much of her in his sister. It made him proud, to see what a strong woman she had become. And he knew that strength came from his mother.
Bellamy looked at her intently, a soft smile on his lips as she suggested releasing two sky lanterns. The thought of it, associated with everything she said about them watching from above . . . this just felt right. He reached out, twirling a loose strand of her golden hair around his finger. "That sounds perfect," he agreed in a low, but deeply sincere voice. "We should do that, on our wedding day. So that they can be there with us. Since we know they both would have approved." His mother of her, her father of him. It just added further sentiment to their future uniion as husband and wife.

“They would have.” If he was confident Aurora would have loved her, she knew her dad would have loved him. He was fighting for his people, like Bellamy was. He was willing to give his life, like Bellamy. In all honesty, if her dad had been alive, he might be really happy with Clarkes choice of partner. And he might be a big fan of the oldest Blake. Clarke couldn’t help but smile softly, a blush reaching her cheeks as she thought about her boyfriend – no fiancé – and father in the big apartment arguing about something, mocking the other, getting alone. In that moment Clarke couldn’t hold back the tears. Sh really would have wanted for them to have met now. She would want for her Dad to be there at her wedding, in person. And Wells, all those people she cared about and lost. And this world might take him, too. They had to get married.
“I wish you could have met Dad, Bellamy. He would have adored you and O.” He could have helped Bell and Octavia and their mother with his knowledge. But where that would have brought them was another question entirely. She just wanted everyone she knew and cared about to be well and there for the wedding, no matter how small it was. For the first time in her thought process, she stopped. “What would happen if we told anyone?” Would they look at them differently? Would they support them? What would happen? A lot would disapprove, Clarke knew that, even her own mother might, but her opinion didn't really matter.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT The more Clarke told him that her father would have loved not only him, but Octavia too, the more honored and proud Bellamy felt. To know that someone Clarke highly respected and loved, would have approved of him. Parental approval was never something he strived for -- not even here on the ground where Abby was concerned. But he did feel that honor of knowing Jake and him would have gotten along. In another life perhaps. But not this one. "I guess I'll just have to settle for you adoring me," he said with clear playfulness, a teasing comment as he leaned forward to kiss the corner of her lip.
Her next question caused his expression to sober a little, rather than the amused smirk, he now genuinely thought about the question. What would happen if they told people. "Nothing we couldn't handle," he told her truthfully. "Whether they got a problem with it or not, what are they gonna do abuot it?" A somewhat rhetorical question. "They've disapproved of us for a lot more than this." And they had gotten through it.
Besides, they weren't forcing anyone to stay under their leadership and even then, it was just the delinquents that they had that authority over . . . somewhat. Things had shifted when the other Arkers had come down. "You make me happy, Clarke." He wanted it to be as simple as that. "Anyone who's got a problem with that can go to hell." That was all there was to it. He would have to talk to his sister as well, but even if she disapproved, it wasn't going to stop him. Just like his own disapproval didn't stop her from being with Lincoln.

“That is true.” Nobody had had the chance to disapprove of their relationship yet, as they still kept it secret, but they had disapproved of a lot with the two of them. They still stuck to their own believes. It had worked at the dropship. Sometimes Clarke wondered if they should go back to the Dropship. A lot of the kids didn’t have parents anymore and they were somewhat unhappy there. A lot of people were detached from the camp here. But for now they had other problems, problems they could not solve at the dropship. The winter would probably be harsh, it had been predicted. They had options, but Clarke could tell it would really be bad. And her and Bellamy still only had their tent. They needed a cabin, desperately. And in between they were having a secret wedding. They would actually get married.
Suddenly Clarke overcame a shudder. It took her a moment to realize what it was. Her leg was sticking out of the blanket. And that meant she was getting cold. Very cold. “OH NOOO.” She almost exclaimed. Being naked and having naked body parts sticking out was not a good idea. Clarke pulled it back under the blanket. She pulled the blanket up under her nose as she forced her icecold leg between his leg to have his body warmth warm her up again. “I don’t want to get up. It’s cold.” But she could see the light through the fabric. The sun had started her journey with rising. “Can we fake being sick? We could get away with it. Sick until the wedding. I’m cold!”

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy would have been more concerned with her sudden exclamation, if he didn't know it was related to the dropping temperatures. Though what he didn't know was that her leg had been tucked out from under the blanket . . . and he really came to realize just how long that had been the case when she moved her leg between his. His lower body flinched at the sudden cold limb against him as he made a bit of a face to go along with it.
"Damn it, princess. Now you're making me cold," he teased her, exaggerating the discomfort. Really, it was practically impossible to feel uncomfortable given their current state . . . including their state of undress. He moved his other leg over a bit so that he had her leg between both of his own, ignoring the ice cold sensation. It didn't feel all that bad. Her skin was softer than it was cold and he quite enjoyed that sensation. She protested about getting up, even giving a suggestion that was all too appealing to Bellamy. "That's tempting," he told her truthfully, leaning toward her to kiss the side of her neck. "Really tempting," he added on as he looked at her with a slight smirk.
"Well, you know there's always an effective way of warming up," he teased. He truthfully was content to just lay like this for the rest of the day. Why couldn't they be sick? Why couldn't they just have a day off? "Speaking of getting married . . . when do you want to do that?" He inquired. "And when we do, we really should take time off from everything, and just explore our newly wed status ," he commented with teasing suggestiveness. Clearly, he was talking about the physical aspects of it. It was something they enjoyed now when time and circumstance permitted them the option . . . but it would be difficult engaging in it as a married couple. Or so, he imagined it would be never having been married before . . . or even in love before.

“We’re sick.” Clarke stated. She was slowly warming up due to him holding her close, covering her leg. He was a good boyfriend, undoubtedly. But then again he wasn’t her boyfriend anymore. Her was her fiancé. How weird that sounded and how right, too. Though she didn’t want to keep that for long. There was no need for them to wait. And sickness was a real chance. Or they could just use this day and start building. Maybe they should build and then decide on the wedding, once they had a cabin for privacy reasons and warmth reasons.
“You know I’m always open for indulging in that way” Clarke began, knowing very well that there was a real possibility for them to continue, but also a real possibility for Camp Jaha to slowly wake up and for someone to walk in on them. Now that was something she did not want to witness. They had to avoid that. Doors would help. A cabi would help with that. They needed a cabin for those kinds of nocturnal activities. And they should start with that.
“We should build our cabin first and then we can indulge in more lazy morning sex and post maritial sex and all that. Sooo cabin first, wedding next and then all the sex?”

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Sick. Yes. It was the perfect excuse. And even if people didn't believe it, he couldn't care less. This was something just between them; something they both wanted. "Love sick," he stated jokingly, making it seem less of a lie though really, he wasn't bothered about making shit up if it meant that he could have some alone time with Clarke. Who was now his fiance. Soon to be wife. Well damn. He found himself loving the sound of that. A wife. He was going to have a wife. He was going to be a husband. Never in his life did he think he would have the privilege and honor of carrying that title . . . but then again, he'd never expected to fall in love with someone as much as he had with Clarke.
She'd changed his priorities, his perspectives, and he loved her all the more for it. For allowing them to be together. She then spoke of being up for such indulgences, and he smiled at that. All too eager as well to explore this aspect of married life. Then again, they were still exploring it, just without being married. Marriage would at least solidify that. Allow that unjusfitied time together, not having to explain themselves. Besides, the way she described it . . . sounded absolutely perfect. His smile grew, the expression having come with so much more ease thanks to her. Mostly when they solely in each other's company.
"That cabin needs to get built fast," he began to say, leaning forward to kiss the corner of her mouth, before her cheek, trailing along it to her ear. "Cause I'm going to hold you to those plans." All the sex. All the physical intimacy. Gently nipping her earlobe, he drew his head back again to look at her, a playful smile on his lips. "Just to be clear, we aren't waiting for the cabin to have sex right?" He was just teasing of course, though would also respect her desire to wait should she want to hold off any more nightly vigorous activities between them. "Cause you might need your rest." Another tease, evident in the slightly mischevious and teasing gleam in his eyes, playing off her words of their plans once having a cabin and married.

“Like I could ever.” Clarke said. She grinned at that. How would she be able to wait with him sleeping beside her? They went form admiring the snow, to sex, so there was no way she could keep her fingers off him. Hell there was no way ever since the two of them got together. “Have you looked at yourself, Blake?” She asked him. And for once she really meant it. “You’re like super hot. Sometimes I think you wearing a shirt to begin with should be declared an offense, because” Well because damn he was just hot and powerful and Clarke loved the way she felt underneath him, when he took full control, when he used his hands to stay in control of her. It was wonderful. “I don’t have that kind of self control and you know it.” She didn’t want that kind of self control. She wanted to be with him. So no, no way she was waiting for the cabin to get intimate with him, but in the cabin, she would make sure to get a lot of it. By then they wanted to be married… in secret.
“I wish we could just snap out fingers and have it all.” But there was no way for that. For tonight she would do something similar than she had done when they started. She’d nest. She had once created most of the tent on her own one day, hiding from the others, wanting to create a home for them. With her not having to do much, she would get started on the Cabin today. It would not get finished, but she hoped she could at least get the foundation done. That way she could put the tent as temporary walls back up. They could then build around it. “I’m going to start building on it.” Clarke pointed out.”Right now actually, it’s time to get up and start the day. Sooo… how does your schedule look? Doing it together would mean it gets done faster.” With the metal and the wood they might even get one wall done today. Sure it would be a rough skeleton and they would need a while to get it fully equipped, but a rough skeleton was good.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy couldn't help but smirk, a slight chuckle of amusement falling from his lips when she spoke of his physical appearance. He had shown himself to be arrogant in certain ways, but not so much where his physicality was concerned. Yet, it was always a good compliment to hear. Especially from the woman he loved. "Well I feel the same way about you," he told her with a continued smirk. "Though I think the rule of you not wearing a shirt should be limited to only when we're alone. Don't need anyone else eying you over."
Because they would. Because they had. And rightfully so. She was too damn gorgeous for her own good. But it wasn't that which had drawn Bellamy toward her. His feelings for Clarke went well beyond the physical attraction. Having gotten to know her was what made him fall in love with her. "Good. Cause neither do I," he told her when it came to self control. Or the lack of it. He had after all proven that when they got back from being outside in the snow. He leaned toward her to lightly kiss her lips, before easing out of it, hearing her words of how they would have to get started with the day.
He didn't want to get up, but she was right. They would have to eventually. "Let me check with Kane what he has planned for the day," Bellamy told Clarke. "I definitely think we should get started. At least make a plan. I'll leave the sketching and design to you," he said with a smile, knowing her exceptional skill in drawing and the like. "We should also talk to him today. About getting married." As soon as he was free. Bellamy didn't want to waste any time on that. He wanted to make her his wife. While not having over thought it before, when she presented the idea . . . it made him realize just how badly he suddenly wanted that for them.

“There’s snow outside.” Clarke pointed out with a grin. “Kanes plans will all be thrown to the wind thanks to that. I know a few wanted to go and hunt, but with the snow, they’ll leave too much tracks. Then there is that water thing, that won’t work either.” Meaning a few of Kanes plans alone were impossible. And there would be more. It looked like today might actually transform into that kind of day where a lot could be done and little would be done. She loved those days, actually. They were insanely rare and Bellamy and her got stuff done, two of the most busy people on those days and it looked like the same thing would happen on this day as well. Clarke sat up to watch him.
“How about while you bug Kane about your shifts and our big plans, I make the plans for our house?” She had enough time for it. It would not need much, actually. She already had a clear idea of what they should have, of what they needed. It would be a dream, if they managed to do it the way they needed it to work, but what if not? She doubted it would not work. It would work, but it still felt terrifying for her. It was the first house she was not only building for herself, but for, well, her future husband as well. It meant something to her. It meant the world to her. She knew exactly what room he needed and how much space they would need – and how to make it look like they had two bedrooms, when they actually shared their bedroom, like they did with the tents. “I’ll be done when you get back and we could start with the foundation, or I will do it alone.”
