So gather ye demons, it seems it's your day I sin but I've paid more than ten thousand graves Abra exhaled hard as she read his message once then twice, letting the tension seep from his shoulders and allowing herself to relax a bit. Baron seemed sincere in his apology, and she supposed she owed him the benefit of the doubt. He had never done anything to intentionally hurt her. In fact he'd tried to protect her after she'd tried to kill him. But knowing that didn't do much to sooth her anger, or take the sting out of what she'd seen.
'Of course I forgive you.' That was a stupid question for him to ask when he hadn't, technically, done anything wrong. Abra was just being... possessive and jealous. She took a moment before reply so take a breath and will herself to calm down, a moment to choose her next words carefully. 'Do tell me the next time some beautiful woman is going to be hanging on my boyfriends arm. It would be nice to know who needs to be taken care of.'
She owed him the benefit of the doubt, that much was true, but that didn't mean she wasn't a woman scorned. Had he forgotten his girlfriend was a killer? That hurting people, making them disappear, was something she excelled at? It had occurred to her that he might had been angry at her for threatening his friend, but it also occurred to her that she didn't care at that moment.

So gather ye demons, it seems it's your day I sin but I've paid more than ten thousand graves Baron certainly knew how to distract her thoughts, how to take her attention away from what her hands were doing and have it focus entirely on him. Her fingers stopped fiddling with his hair when his mouth pressed a kiss to the edge of hers, then her cheek, sending heat spiraling through her lips, sending her mind reeling in a direction it hadn't intended to go.
Her answering smile and the sparkle in her eyes was mischievous. "I could think of a few things..." She teased back as she leaned in to return his kiss. Her aim was more on the mark, lips finding his, parting slightly to chase to taste of him, so that he could have a brief taste of hers before she was pulling back, just out of reach of his lips, moving to kiss along his jaw. If he wanted to tease, she would play along.
"Things like, maybe, making out in a hotel hot tub, going to a family dinner together, committing murder, adopting a puppy... the little things couples do that you haven't yet." Abra mused softly, almost with an uninterested as she trailed soft kisses down his jaw and neck. She was spitballing, saying whatever came to mind. To be frank, as long as she was with him, it didn't matter what they did or which of his first she took, she would be happy.

So gather ye demons, it seems it's your day I sin but I've paid more than ten thousand graves Whatever it was that had been haunting his sleep was bad, that much was clear from his reaction. The way he jerked upright, the sheen of sweat on his skin, dampening his hair, the way he couldn't lay back down after the nightmare had ended. Abra smiled when he stroked her cheek with a thumb, turned to press a kiss into his palm.
"I was already awake." It wasn't the entire truth but it wasn't a lie either but he didn't need to know that. Abra yawned and stretched out her stiff limbs before sitting up, shifting so that she was at his side. And then she leaned against him, her hand raising to cup his cheek and turn his gaze to hers.
She pressed a gentle kiss to the corner of his mouth, intending for the gesture to be soothing, comforting. "Are you alright? That looked pretty intense." She asked with a soft voice, knowing that whatever it was had shaken him. Baron was always so calm, so in control of his emotions, that seeing him like this was worrying.

So gather ye demons, it seems it's your day I sin but I've paid more than ten thousand graves His mannerisms were terribly amusing, how he hurried to the back to the room, snatching up a robe that would offer more protection from her roaming hands and eyes, how he worked to stay calm when her presence would stir a myriad of emotions. And his words, agreeing that he wouldn't have opened the door for her, declined the massage if she was the one providing such a service, only enticed a chuckle from her lips.
Abra did not leave when he went into the bathroom to change. Baron was delusional if he thought she would. Instead she stepped further into the room, looking around slowly and taking not of what was inside while waiting for him to finish. "If you think I'm going to leave because you are hiding, you are very mistaken." She replied with a laugh, terribly amused but his naivety.
When the door to the bathroom opened she turned to face him, leaning against the masseuse's table that had been placed in the room in case he wanted that massage after all. Her mouth pulled into a smirk as she roved her gaze over him. A robe, of course. "Nervous, Baron?" Abra asked in a sweet voice, an innocent smile.

So gather ye demons, it seems it's your day I sin but I've paid more than ten thousand graves A friend - she almost laughed out loud. 'Friends don't hang off each other like that, Baron. They don't look at each other like that.' Did she need to remind him of the dance they had shared once upon a time? How her hands wondered, how their lips mingled. They hadn't been friends at that time, far from it, but she had wanted something from him, just as he had wanted something from her.
That girl might had been a friend of his sisters but she certainly wanted to be more than that with Baron, and that simply wasn't acceptable. He went on to explain that there had been a banquet and she almost wanted to throw her cell at the wall. He could had said something, told her instead of letting her see it in a magazine.
'I don't like seeing her touching you like that. Not in a magazine, and especially not when we are thousands of miles apart.' She replied, fingers hitting the screen harder than necessary. He was lucky he wasn't there. She might very well have actually slapped him.

So gather ye demons, it seems it's your day I sin but I've paid more than ten thousand graves A growl of irritation clawed its way up the blonde woman's throat as her hostage stopped, again. There was a temptation to shove the girl, to grab her by the hair and march onward, dragging her along, but her words caused the Azgeda warrior to roll her eyes. She needed to go to the bathroom; wonderful. Abra narrowed cold blue eyes on the girl, not believing her but not willing to risk the chance that she was telling the truth.
Abra stepped toward her with a menacing step, grabbed Cheryline roughly by the arm and dragged her closer. With her free hand she pulled the knife from the strap on her thigh, brandishing it for the smaller female to see, for her to understand the threat. Abra let the blade reflect the sun for a moment before cutting the rope that bound her. "If you run, you die. Do you understand, skai gada?"

So gather ye demons, it seems it's your day I sin but I've paid more than ten thousand graves It was early morning, the sun not yet risen, when she awoke with her skin prickled with goosebumps from the fan spinning overhead. Except it wasn't the cold or the sound of the fan that disturbed her slumber. It was the man beside her, tossing and turning, mumbling softly beneath his breath. Abra rolled to face him, staring at him through the darkness, listening to his labored breathing.
His face was too her so she couldn't see his face, but she would bet it was twisted in panic or fright. When it became obvious his sleep wasn't going back to being peaceful, that the nightmares were continuing, she propped herself up on an elbow and pressed softy against his back. "Baron," his name was whispered, laced with affection and concern as her lips touched his shoulder.
His skin was warm, a little bit sweaty even, betraying his fight. Abra shook him softly, trying to rouse him. "Baron, wake up. You're alright, you're safe." She didn't know what was disturbing him... but given his lifestyle... it couldn't have been good.

So gather ye demons, it seems it's your day I sin but I've paid more than ten thousand graves Abra gawked at his response, a growl clawing up the back of her throat, and the storm intensifying. Who. He actually had the audacity to ask who she was talking about. Her jaw clenched, eyes flicking to the magazine sitting tauntingly on the couch and then back to his one word message.
He was playing dumb and digging himself a deeper hole. Abra was not the kind of woman he should be trying to upset. She thought he had learned that lesson already. 'You know who, Baron.' She replied as she started pacing back and forth across the room. She wished he was in front of her so she could slap him.
There was a desire to call him but she didn't. She wasn't sure she'd be able to keep a level head instead of screaming at him and threatening his life again. 'That green eyed hussy hanging on you like she's in heat. Her. Who is she?'

So gather ye demons, it seems it's your day I sin but I've paid more than ten thousand graves Abra stared up at him when he stopped them, her eyes slightly widened because of the seriousness in his stare. She knew the crucial nature of the situation but she also knew the urgency of getting him to a doctor. He could have punctuated a lung, have been bleeding internally, a concussion. But... the look in his eyes, the plea in his voice, she couldn't deny him. "Alright, alright, no doctors." She relented, sighing softly, thinking that it was a horrible decision.
Her apartment wasn't far away from where the alley, maybe a couple blocks away, and bringing him there had been part of the plan. They were just skipping the part where he saw a doctor. Abra kept him close to her side so she could support some of weight as they walked, and she kept their pace slow so he wouldn't over do it.
He might have been behaving as though nothing was wrong, like he was indifferent to the pain, it was easy to see that he was hurting. Abra wasn't about to let him hurt more. "It's not far, just take it slow." She said softly, forcing a reassuring smile to her expression. "You know, when I said I wanted you at my place tonight, this wasn't what I had in mind..."

Random Number Generators Choice: 30. A jealous text
So gather ye demons, it seems it's your day I sin but I've paid more than ten thousand graves Abra was the opposite of calm at that very moment. She was boiling water, waiting to go over the pot. There was nothing that could calm the storm raging inside her as she stared at the cover of that magazine; it was date stamped in the last two weeks so it was recent. There on the cover was Baron, smiling, looking as handsome as ever. And there hanging of his arm was someone she didn't recognize.
A woman, young and pretty, staring at him with adoring eyes. Beautiful green eyes that Abra wanted to claw out. She hated how that woman was looking at him. Right now she was on the opposite side of the globe to him, work keeping them apart, and hated it, hated not being with him.
So when she'd seen that photo, that girl draped over him like he belonged to her, like they were more than acquaintances, she couldn't help herself. Having tossed the magazine down, she grabbed her cell. Her fingers clicked on the screen, finding his number and typing a message.
'Baron Zian Tseng, who the hell is she?'

So gather ye demons, it seems it's your day I sin but I've paid more than ten thousand graves Bad -- that was how it looked. She was a murder, a killer, and it looked like she was the one who hurt this man. Abra was thankful he believed her, that he was inclined to not assume the worst after finding her with one of his men unconscious at her feet. She didn't answer, knew that the question didn't need an answer. They both new how this looked, how bad the situation was for the both of them.
"No, I didn't see anything. He was like this when I found him." She explained while crouching at his side, checking the man once more. Nothing had changed in the last few minutes. He was still unconscious, his breathing shallow. His skin was clammy, his forehead warm. "It could have been poison. There isn't any indication he was attacked, and I don't see any blood." She said thoughtfully, her brow pulling together in both concentration and concern.
Given their occupations, it was concerning that one of his men had been attacked so openly. They both had powerful enemies, enemies that wanted them dead. "Are there cameras in this area?" She asked him hopefully. "We need to check them after getting this man to the doctor."

So gather ye demons, it seems it's your day I sin but I've paid more than ten thousand graves Abra had seen what happened; Baron, the mafia boss, falling into the pool. And oh what a sight it had been; him falling into the water, them reaching for him, apologizing profusely, offering him a private room, a shower and even a massage. Her sides hurt from laughing so much and after she'd calm down, she'd followed him, intent on teasing him about his misfortune.
So, dressed in a masseuse outfit to better blend in, she made her way through the corridors, her presence not questioned, to the private room Baron was now occupying. Abra pushed open the door without hesitation, without knocking and then... she stood there dumbfounded... staring... at him as he hurried to wrap the towel around his hips.
She swallowed hard and smoothed her expression into something more neutral, so he wouldn't notice how taken aback she was. And then her mouth pulled into a smirk, her tongue licking her lips as a taunt played on her tongue and purposely eyed him up and down. "Would you have answered if you knew it was me?" she doubted he would have. It was more fun this way.

So gather ye demons, it seems it's your day I sin but I've paid more than ten thousand graves "Like hell you're fine." The words escaped her before she could stop them. Just looking at his face was enough to tell her that. He was bloody and bruised, his lip split, his eye almost swollen shut, his clothes a mess but Baron was stubborn, determined to stand on his own, determined to keep calm and in control.
Knowing that didn't keep her hands from him as he stood, or when he staggered. Abra did not, at all, like seeing him like this. It was upsetting in ways words couldn't describe, made her blood boil with anger and her heart hurt with concern for him. But it was a risk of their lifestyles, bound to happen sooner or later.
"Forget about dinner, we have to get you taken care off." Her arm wrapped around his torso so that she could help him. Standing, let alone walking, had to be a struggle. "We need to get you to the doctor."
