Random Line Generator's Choice: "He was unconscious when I found him." So gather ye demons, it seems it's your day I sin but I've paid more than ten thousand graves Huh, that's strange. No bruises, no blood. Did he pass out? Abra mused to herself while pressing her fingertips against the man's neck, feeling his pulse beating weakly. He didn't stir under her touch but he was alive. Approaching footsteps pulled her attention away and she looked up just in time to see a familiar face.
βHe was unconscious when I found him.β The words left her mouth the second Baron came around the corner. Abra had her hands up to show she was innocent and had nothing to do with the body at her feet. It would be hard to believe, especially given her profession and fondness for murder, but she really hadn't done it this time.
Abra had come to see Baron for a reason that was now forgotten when she'd turned a corner and there this man had been; face down and not moving. All she'd done was turn him over to see if he was breathing, which he was, before Baron had stumbled upon them, no doubt misreading the scene before him.

When Baron had gotten a message that someone was here to see him at his office, he could guess who it was. Especially with how the visitor was described. A young, blond haired woman. Baron knew he and Abra had to be careful, considering they were getting closer. Closer than Baron ever thought he would to someone who had kidnapped and attempted to kill him. And yet, there was still a flutter of his heart when she came; when they spent time together. He couldn't quite explain what it was . . . only that he wished to further explore it. When he made his way to the waiting area however, he froze upon seeing the sight before him. Abra must have also realized how it looked considering her hands moved from the body and her immediate reaction was saying that he was like that.
Baron believed her. For whatever reason, he believed it. Even though it might be easier that he didn't. Something in the way she said it. The sincerity. And besides . . . she wasn't an amateur. She wouldn't be caught over an unconscious body that she had caused. Concern quickly took over as Baron rushed toward the man, falling to his knees next to him. Unconscious meant that he was alive. "We need a doctor," he said, fingers finding the pulse as Baron pulled out his phone with his other hand. He had a private doctor who . . . knew the delicate nature of a lot of cases.
But this was one of Baron's men. And he wasn't about to let go of what happened. Whether the man fell ill, or whether someone had caused this to happen. "Do you know how this looks?" He rhetorically asked her in a low voice. It wasn't an accusation but merely a statement. That if someone else had walked in, they may be less . . . inclined to believe her. "Did you see anything?" He asked, wondering if she saw or heard anything suspicious when she neared or found him.

So gather ye demons, it seems it's your day I sin but I've paid more than ten thousand graves Bad -- that was how it looked. She was a murder, a killer, and it looked like she was the one who hurt this man. Abra was thankful he believed her, that he was inclined to not assume the worst after finding her with one of his men unconscious at her feet. She didn't answer, knew that the question didn't need an answer. They both new how this looked, how bad the situation was for the both of them.
"No, I didn't see anything. He was like this when I found him." She explained while crouching at his side, checking the man once more. Nothing had changed in the last few minutes. He was still unconscious, his breathing shallow. His skin was clammy, his forehead warm. "It could have been poison. There isn't any indication he was attacked, and I don't see any blood." She said thoughtfully, her brow pulling together in both concentration and concern.
Given their occupations, it was concerning that one of his men had been attacked so openly. They both had powerful enemies, enemies that wanted them dead. "Are there cameras in this area?" She asked him hopefully. "We need to check them after getting this man to the doctor."
