One second, that was all it had taken for everything to change. Just one split second for everything to be pulled inside out and turned upside down. And because of it Lincoln had been left broken. From the moment he had seen that dropship making planet fall he knew that nothing would be the same, that he wouldn't be the same. And then he had met him -- Bellamy.
Everything had been kicked into high gear after their first meeting. He had felt something for the man, something he himself hadn't understood. It confused and enticed it. And it drove him to chose Bellamy and Skaikru over his own people, putting their safety before his own, even before his clans. Indra would never truly forgive him for that nor would she ever trust him again.
And then there was his obsession with the red drug. He couldn't shake the addiction, not even after detoxing. Day and night was a struggle for him, a fight to beat back the desire for more. Lincoln remembered it all so clearly, the rush, the high, the thrill of it and it had been too much for him to resist in that tunnel.
So he had left Bellamy to die. And as that needle sank into his neck and the drug flooded his system, he had no regrets. He had them now of course. He had betrayed Bellamy. And he was so sure that nothing could repair the damage done.
All of his thoughts ceased when Bellamy's voice resounded through his room. Lincoln was facing the bed, his back to the other man, and his shoulders stiffened. "That isn't surprising." Lincoln had known that would happen--it was the way of his people. He had done them wrong, and he had to pay for that.
He didn't turn to look at the man but exhaled deeply. Lincoln didn't want to fight with him right now. He was tired; of fighting, of running, of always feeling lost. He just wanted to stop and rest. "Do you need something?"

Lincoln's Wanted Characters
Below is a list of characters that I would very like to write with as Lincoln. The list will be updated periodically as people join and characters are created. [nospaces][googlefont="Oswald:400"] [attr="class","colors-of-the-sky"] [attr="class","box"] [attr="class","header1"][attr="style","background-color:#;"]Ty Olsson [attr="class","name"][attr="style","background-color:#;"]Nyko: Grounder | Healer
[attr="class","main-content"]I love Nyko. His character is so incorrigible and he wants to help his people despite the risk to his own life. In the show it is shown that Nyko and Lincoln were close, brothers-at-heart, and I would love to explore more of them. I want to see how Nyko felt when Lincoln picked Octavia and Skaikru over Trikru It just had strained their friendship. I want to explore how deeply Lincoln care for Nyko and what sacrifices he would have been willing to make for him. [attr="class","box"] [attr="class","header1"][attr="style","background-color:#;"]Marie Avgeropoulos [attr="class","name"][attr="style","background-color:#;"]Octavia: Delinquent | Grounder [attr="class","main-content"]I would just love to have an Octavia on the board again. Their relationship was a star-crossed on from the beginning, a forbidden romance that burned too hot and too fast. There is so much depth to it that we didn't get to see in the show before Lincoln's death. I would love to explore what would have happened if Pike hadn't killed Lincoln. Would Octavia have forgiven him for betraying Bellamy? Would she have gone on to become the woman she turned into or would Lincoln have kept her grounded during their time in the bunker. I want to explore their relationship from start to finish and everything in between. [attr="class","box"] [attr="class","header1"][attr="style","background-color:#;"]Alycia Debnam-Carey [attr="class","name"][attr="style","background-color:#;"]Lexa: Commander [attr="class","main-content"] I would love to explore threads between Lexa and Lincoln. I believe his betrayal and behavior during the seasons would not have escaped her attention and I would love to explore that in more depth. Lincoln is Trikru like Lexa, that common ground would make his betrayal all the worse, I think. I'm also open to all types of ideas between these two.

Lincoln was relieved when she agreed to help him but it didn't show on his face; he remain impassive. It was far too dangerous for the woman to know how much he needed her help, that she held the fate of his clan in her hands. He nodded slightly when she claimed to not be educated in healing.
He didn't believe her for an instant. Perhaps he was being presumptuous but Lincoln assumed she was a warriors of her clan, or at the very least someone trusted enough to come meet him.
And if that was the case she would have some knowledge on the matter. "No, I do not." He admitted, the lack of knowledge irritating him. Lincoln hated being in the dark but once again he did not allow this to show on his face.
"We found some medicine, a combination of herbs, that slow the spreading the disease but we've discovered nothing more." He sighed softly, moving a hand to rub the back of his neck. "What do you know of it?"

Just handling it. His answer enticed a ghost of a smirk to Lincoln's mouth, a fleeting flicker of emotion and then with a blink it was gone. He hadn't expected any other answer from the man but the words still twisted the knife in his heart. There was nothing more either of them could do but handle it.
Nothing was right anymore, hadn't been right for a long time--even the air felt toxic now. But it would feel like that everywhere he went because he had burned all of his bridges; he wasn't welcomed with his clan, he wasn't welcomed here.
Lincoln felt entirely lost. "That's right." He still wasn't looking at him, couldn't look at him. The guilt was eating at him, threatening to suffocate him from the inside out, and there was nothing to be done about it.
Lincoln and Octavia had discussed their options, somewhat heatedly, and although the decision hadn't been an easy one, it was the wisest one at the moment. At the very least Octavia was safer here, as was he given the kill order. "I hope that isn't going to be a problem..."

He released her hand when they reached the cave and he moved away from her. Lincoln explored slowly, thoroughly, to ensure no animal or person had claimed the cave as their home in the time since he had been here last. He saw prints in the dirt, nothing fresh, to indicate predators lurking nearby.
Lincoln signed heavily as he placed his pack down; he had only bought with him the necessary things, rations, some water, a change of clothes, whatever weapons he could carry.
"We will, Clarke." He answered her, his voice soft, an echo of his former self. He didn't speak with a swagger like he used to, a calm confidence. No. He spoke with a dark resolution because he understood that whatever happened now, it didn't matter. Whether he lived or died, he didn't care anymore.
He didn't have a place here, not anywhere. And the truth was... he didn't care anymore. Nothing was how it should be. "We can go somewhere far from here, over the hills, far away, across the ocean. Somewhere better."

Lincoln watched the woman approach with a narrowed gaze, one that shifted to the treeline. He didn't see movement or the glisten of sunlight on metal but he knew her warriors were there--they would never had allowed her to walk into a meeting unprotected. He greeted her and offered an arm to shake, a peaceful exchange for the moment.
"Malia Kom Trishana, I required your assistance." The words were like ash in his mouth, leaving behind a bitter taste. Lincoln knew that his clan needed help, he was even willing to outsource for it, but Indra was likely to have him made an example of for going against her wishes.
Things were tense between all of the clans and asking for help was not approved off. "A sickness is spreading through both of our clans as we speak," it had become common knowledge that it was no longer just Trikru that was suffering and that others clans had encounter the same sickness.
It was worrying, so far none had discovered the cause nor the cure. They would need to work together to figure it out. "My healer is collecting more ingredients and will be away from some time. I have more sick arriving and an unable to help them. I need your help."

Together they walked, hand in hand. For how long he did not know. They walked for minutes and hours, until he had lost track of time, until he no longer cared to keep track of it. It was strange to him, not at all awkward, but strange. Lincoln had never expected to find himself at Clarke's side--not like this.
He had wanted their people to find peace, to find a way to coexist. He hadn't wanted for he and Clarke to find themselves lost but not alone. Both he and her had bent over backwards for their people, bent until they broke. It hurt his head to think about it so instead he focused on the blonde and her seeming amazement for the setting sun.
"Yes, it is." He didn't know what else to say to her, didn't know what was appropriate for their situation. So when she suggested that they find a place to rest, he nodded his head slowly. His gaze shifted between the threes, ever vigilant. He knew this area well; there was a cave not to fat where they could spend the night.
But when he took a step forward she spoke again and those words stopped him in his tracks. He didn't want to talk about it, didn't want to think about it. But if they were going to go nowhere together then they would need to talk.
Lincoln sighed then, the sound heavy, filled with the weight that was resting on his shoulders. "Alright." If he and Clarke were going to stay together, even if only for a little while, there was no need to make things more difficult then they already were. "We should find shelter first. It'll be dark soon."

He had been exploring the world ever since he was a child. And he had been keeping records of his explorations for just as long. Lincoln kept detailed descriptions of people met during his travels, of ruins and monuments, hidden caves and treasures from a forgotten time, in journals kept in his cave in the woods. He had also spent a great deal of time mapping out the territory under Trikru control, and when that task was complete, he set out to exploring and marking the clan borders before venturing into Azgeda territory. He didn't do so with malicious intent, not to gather Intel or sensitive information for his clansmen.
No, it was for him and him alone. Lincoln was a free spirit, going where he so desired, looking for beauty in a ravaged world. It was for his pleasure and not the benefit of his brothers-at-arms. He had never seen so much ice and snow before coming here. Or ever been so cold. Lincoln hadn't encountered any trouble so far because he had been keeping to himself, keeping from the villages and living on his own. He had seen farms in his travels, villages, stabled horses, but hadn't taken the time to talk to anyone. Truth be told Lincoln expected hostility from anyone he saw and was hesitant to interact with them.

Words could not begin to describe how much he hated this. His village was sick; men, women, children, none were immune to the sickness. And he wasn't a healer, he was a warrior. Nyko was out of the village, he was with Indra and the hunting party that had gone to retrieve more ingredients for his concoctions.
At the moment, when fevers spiked and more and more fell ill they turned to him and he was unable to aid them. So he had arranged a meeting with one of the other clans--Trishana--to ask for help, to ask for one of their healers to come with him to his village. Lincoln had chosen as open area, clear of trees and bushes and rocky outcrops.
There were little hiding spots here and he felt safe enough to stand in the open until the person he was meeting arrived. But Lincoln was not so trusting as his behavior might suggest. He was armed, of course, with spear and sword strapped at his hip.

Lincoln tried hard not to let his mind linger on the demons plaguing him. He had done some pretty horrible things; betraying his clan, betraying Bellamy, betraying the Sky People but try as he might they lingered, refusing to let his guilt ease.
Day in, day out, he thought about all the wrongs he had done. And this made him irritable, cold, and closed of to those he should had trusted.
So when Bellamy approached him he said nothing and only regarded the other man with a quiet suspicion. Lincoln had no misconceptions about their relationship, or so he believed. He had betrayed Bellamy, left him to be captured and harvested and it was only natural that Bellamy would dislike him--he had every reason to.
And yet the question he asked held no malice, no spite, no intentional cruelty. It was more than Lincoln deserved. Hatred he would have understood, as much as he wish he didn't. It would have been easier if Bellamy tried to hit him, tried to kill him.
But kindness and chivalry were not something that he deserved and so was not something he was equipped to handle at that moment. He scoffed softly, still not looking at him. "As well as you."
Bellamy hadn't slowed down since the massacre. He threw himself into each task he took on, didn't take enough time to rest, or take any time to process all that had happened. Lincoln understood this as he had done the same but it was an unhealthy way to live. "And you? How are you handling it?"

His muscles tensed beneath her touch. It was all too familiar to him, gentle, kind, understanding--how Octavia had once touched him. Their parting had ended with an outline of her hand on his cheek, and tears streaming down her face. He didn't think he would ever be able to forget the sound of her tears. Lincoln shifted slowly, moving out from beneath her touch, and gently took her hand into his. There had never been romantic feelings between he and Clarke; he had Octavia, and she had had Finn, and after his passing found love with Lexa. But he liked her, and her willingness to make the hard decisions when others would have buried their heads in the sand.
Everything had changed for them. It was all so wrong and he didn't like it. Change was something Lincoln had always wanted to change the world; he wanted his clansmen to be kinder to one another, wanted the thirteen clans to at least try to live in harmony instead of killing each other to one up the other. But this wasn't what he wanted. He hadn't wanted to bring about so much distrust, so much pain, so much hatred. And he was so certain that Clarke felt the same, or at least similar. The Sky People had just wanted to live their lives without worrying about when the grounders would attack, and now look where she was. A stranger among her own people. Like him.
"I would like that." He had yet to release her hand, had enjoyed the feel of how it fit so perfectly into his, had liked her words more than he was willing to admit aloud. They didn't belong, not here, not there, not anywhere. But at least they weren't alone. For the moment they had each other. Lincoln turned away from Camp Jaha, away from TonDC, away from Octavia, away from his clan, away from everything he had ever known about himself and about life. "We should go now." He still held her hand as he began to walk away.

Leaves and twigs whipped at his person as he weaved in between the trees, and his footfalls were surprisingly quiet as he bounded over gnarled roots and fallen branches. Lincoln had been hunting a panther, following its soft paw prints in the foliage when its path had crossed with the trail of another human. This wasn't an unexpected revelation but still displeased him.
Lincoln was not without compassion. He was wild and untamed, much like the forests he called home but he was also kind and gentle, not at all willing to let someone die if he could prevent it. Lincoln pushed himself to move faster, running until his lungs burned and his legs felt like jello. He ran until he reached a clearing and there he saw the panther stalking toward its prey—a young girl, close to his age, maybe twelve or thirteen.
She was facing the animal, backing away slowly, limping. Lincoln was sure she was hurt, whether from the panther or something else he didn't know. He took a breath to steady himself and tightened his grip on his spear; he was a warrior, a hunter, trained for moments like this; his aim would be true.
Lincoln drew back and hurled the weapon, and watched as it flew through the air. The tip sank deep into the panthers back, between the shoulder blades. The animal fell to the ground in a heap, breathing heavily, keening in pain, and struggling weakly. For a moment he felt regret, felt sympathy for the animal but pushed those feelings aside as he went to the girls side.
He held his hands up as he approached her. "Ai laik linkon kom tri kru. Yu ste laksen." He was surprised by the color of the blood staining her clothes. Black. Why was it black?

I like the idea of our characters needing to work together to cure an illness! They could have to go hunting for the ingredients needed for a cure and get to know each other along the way!

It a time passed his father had told him the world had always been trying to turn him into a monster, he said this right before he had forced his child to kill an injured, defenseless man. For many years Lincoln had thought those words meant the world wanted to make him a warrior of his people; an efficient killer, someone that could survive the odds, could ensure his clansmen survival. But now he knew the truth. He was destined to be a different kind of monster--the kind that hurt others instead of killing them, the kind that left others alive but broken.
It wasn't only a trail of souls he was leaving behind him but one of broken hearts also. He had left Luna when guilt over leaving his clan ate him up inside. Then he betrayed Anya, and Indra, and Nyko, and all his village so that he could protect the woman he loved--one of the enemy. And then he had betrayed Bellamy for the red drug, had hurt Octavia in was he swore he never would. There was no place for him with them. No redemption for him. He couldn't stay so he had said goodbye instead; he had watched as Octavia's heart shattered at his feet while doing nothing to prevent it.
He was a monster, through and through.
His darkened hues watched as Clarke approached, saw pain that mirrored his own clear on her face. Kindred spirits they were, linked through emotions that suffocated them from the inside out. "No, I couldn't." It had been too painful standing there at the edge of the forest let along going inside. He couldn't do that, not again. "I don't know where I'm going." There was no place for him, not anywhere.
