You. Me. A thing with words describing actions and setting. It should happen.

...it's me.
I've been wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet.
Hello.Right. So - short and sweet (and a little brisk, apologies) I lied. I have watched Seasons 1-3. Doing a rewatch because I'm so so so so so intimidated by the whole canon thing. It's been a while since I've canon'ed. I watched a few episodes from Season 4 (1, 2, and 10, I think?) on the plane , but I'm not quite there yet... I'll get to the finale eventually! Disclaimer out of the way, I'd like to introduce Naomi -- You can read my application for her here. I've posted the basics at the bottom of this post. I'm looking to flesh her out - past and present. I'm open to all timelines, alternate universes, canon divergence, antagonistic relationships, friendships, etc.So, yes, hello. Hi. Lurking no more. Nice to meet y'all. I'm looking forward to getting some writing done! Sorry about the longish post... >> Thanks for reading!

.:Name:. Naomi Hunter .:Nick Name:. Nam .:Affiliation:. Arker .:Age:. 20
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. Roses look delicate, but their opulent petals mask the thorns below. Soft, feminine features can harden at the drop of a dime. Her smile can either be endearing or as sharp as her tongue. Willowy and far from clumsy, her posture is horrible, and she tends to mindlessly contort herself into awkward positions when distracted. Though stronger than she appears, Naomi lacks physical endurance. A chemical accident has left her with compromised airways (asthma). The atmosphere on Earth has alleviated her symptoms somewhat. She is vocal about needing to stop (or avoiding the effort altogether). When she feels an attack coming on, her cheek redden, eyes water, and fear is plain on her features. .:Height:. 5’4 .:Portrayed by:. Imogen Poots
| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. Naomi is a bright young woman whose quirks made of her an outcast and target for mockery as a child. Material things never gave lip, and so she begun fixing things at an early age. Driven by pragmatism, tradition is a thing she has little patience for if it serves no purpose. Fond of observation, she seldom participates. To get to know her is a Herculean task, for as soon as she opens up she might construct an immovable steel wall. Susceptible to her environment, she masks her sensitivity with practiced apathy and unyielding logic. Witty, Naomi relies too often on biting sarcasm to elevate herself above those she fears can put her down. (Often times she regrets what she says, and struggles to make amends for it.) Unwilling to be a victim, she's hard on herself and suffers from repressed (and unfelt) emotions. .:Special Skills:. Manual labour — traps, electrical, sewing. She's physically strong (unexpected given her build). She's always looking for better / easier ways to do things, thinking long-term and big picture. Detail oriented and very observant, she is quick to run scenarios in her mind in search of solutions.
| ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. The Ark — Farm Station .:Family:. From Farm Station — Katia Hunter (teacher died on station impact); Jason Hunter (technician killed by Azgeda) .:Occupation:. Factory station technician .:History:. The metal framing moaned as it heated the cell beyond comfort. The speed of their descent was too much for the structure to take. Solid sheets of steel began bending under atmospheric pressure.
The rattling. The cries. The smoke. The heat. The press of warm bodies. The sharp pain of grasping hands twisting her flesh as the station rocked through the stratosphere.
Her grip faltered. The makeshift safety harness that she'd scavenged out of exposed wiring, collapsed. Suddenly, she was grasping at anything that slipped by her fingers.
There was a sound unlike anything she'd heard afore. The station wailed as its layers peeled back. Rattling panels became open space, hinges latching into flesh as they went. Naomi watched as people too began to get sucked away through the openings. And in no time at all, she was flung through the station's ailing carcass.
“NO!”
Air.
Unfiltered air that hadn't been put through chemical scrubbers and taken on the taste of ageing metal pipes. Breathable air that filled her lungs for no more than a few seconds before the ground pushed it out of her.
Impact was violent, the jolt rippling through her spine and ribs. The agony she felt was brief, for as soon as her head collided with the dirt, the world went dark— There were more than two survivors... Factory Station lay a scattered wreck across the valley, and the bodies were everywhere. Weakened from injuries, Naomi’s value diminished to her captors. As the Grounders distanced themselves from the wreckage, she became weaker and weaker. Strung up as bait and left for dead, she remained exposed to the elements for days. When Pike’s scouts came across her, she was barely breathing... It takes a village, as they say. From the sidelines, slow to recover, there was little Naomi could do to help the effort against Azgeda. She made traps and built makeshift armour for the remaining survivors of Farm Station... Her parents weren't amongst them.
