UPDATE - Juliet is canonically deceased im not ok as Bryan is the last from Farm Station, so canon plotting wise we would have the ark timeline along with time in Arkadia, though Juliet passed away in the City of Light. So any future plotting for this ad is completely open! As for their relationship before hand I'd love to plot out the details! Also I'd love to tack on some AUs to play along with during the 4th season events.

THEY THINK YOU ARE MADE OF STONE | THAT JUST MEANS YOU AREN'T AFRAID OF MAKING THE TOUGH CHOICES | TAGGED @vero
| Juliet stiffened and backed up slightly when she saw the grounder holding his sword. She’d never... seen anyone like him before. His clothing was strange, and whatever he’d said when he saw her she didn’t understand but he surprised her more by speaking English. She held the gun steady as she tried to figure out her options, but under pressure it wasn’t easy. She wanted to shoot him and if she could have, she would have done it without hesitation. Her finger locked over the trigger and wouldn’t move—as deep down, she couldn’t kill him when he was giving her the chance to surrender. Self preservation always came first. Most people had a sense of safe and unsafe all on their own but Juliet struggled with completely different identities all having a say. Let it go; drop it, every thought urged it and she fought it hard. “It won’t help,” she muttered to herself just above a whisper before she gave into it and let the gun hit the ground. Her hands had begun to cramp up something fierce and honestly; she didn’t have the strength physically to fight it.
She held up her hands hesitantly and swallowed hard as she stared at the grounder. Her feet were positioned defensively; ready to run if she had to. She was also ready to pick up the gun... “I just want to find my people,” she muttered; not wanting to address him. He spoke English though... there was hope to reason with him. “There were more ships—“ it wasn’t a threat, but her tone made it hard to imagine it wasn’t. “I need to find them,” she couldn’t tell him she was the only survivor of their crash. It would ensure that he’d know nobody was coming to find her. He could kill her without consequence... He’d do it anyway she was sure of it. She couldn’t help noticing other things... his voice carried with authority, but she couldn’t imagine a leader being out here alone. There had to be others with him... she cast a nervous look at the surrounding trees before looking back at him. “Are you alone?”
She thought.... maybe; if he was, it would be enough proof that killing him was the right choice. Shoot him and run for her life... not back to the wreck though. Somewhere west instead. Yet... she'd lost so much blood that she knew it was unlikely that she'd make it far.

THEY THINK YOU ARE MADE OF STONE | THAT JUST MEANS YOU AREN'T AFRAID OF MAKING THE TOUGH CHOICES | FC: AMY ACKER THERAPIST
| This tall beautiful brunette is a very special woman to Juliet. Before I get into this want ad, let me start by saying that this is not a romantic ship first (I knowww loads of shippy gifs). Though there is a possibility for it to become romantic, the priority of this ship is platonic! Her name is open, but for now we will call her Amy (I strongly encourage a name change!). Amy isn't a psychologist or a medic- on the ark she was a counselor and therapist who worked closely with those suffering from mental illnesses, trauma and loss. She's a very kind woman, though rather hyper. She's goofy and nerdy with a love for old scyfi movies and disney flicks. She adores children as she used to work with them frequently and she is, or was, happily married on the ark. The status of her spouse is entirely up to you! They can be dead, or alive-- an ex or a current lover. When it comes to her love life you have complete freedom!
On the ark, Juliet and Amy became close friends as they worked together. Amy helped Juliet learn coping skills to help change her life to better maintain her dissociative identity disorder/alter identities. She also worked with Juliet's husband before he had an unfortunate break down that got him floated. Amy was always somebody who had a keen understanding for those with chemical imbalances and instead of focusing on curing, she focused on altering lifestyles to better equip her charges with coping methods. Needless to say, Juliet relied heavily on Amy for comfort and advice while functioning with multiple identities. Amy is also the only person alive who knows of each individual identity both in name and through meeting them herself. She had a knack for calming Juliet down enough that she felt safe enough without needing the alters as her crutch.
Since landing on earth, Juliet and Amy had been separated as she didn't decent in Farm Station. Amy has been focusing instead on assisting in any way she can with the transition to earth. She's also been working as a guard in order to look out for her people. Their reunion simply must be rped because it'd be super emotional as they were best friends outside of work. I could see it even being an issue when it came to their professional relationship! There are a few notes that I want to add! I apologize for how specific this want ad is, but Juliet is a complicated character and difficult to plot with ESPECIALLY with close relationships like this one!!
- When it comes to grounders, she doesn't hate them, but she assisted in the slaying of the army. Whether she feels guilt or not is debatable as her people come first. Though she wishes for a time without violence she does not trust the grounders at all.
- Sexuality is open but I don't want it to be a focus for this character! Much like the universe of the 100, sexuality is not a big deal and not something that has to be heavily addressed. Since this is mainly a platonic ship she doesn't even have to be interested in women at all if thats what you prefer!
- She's bubbly and hyper- but this doesn't mean that she's weak by any means. Though she isn't "sassy" to be mean, she can hold her own. She likes to see the best in people.
- She's literally 6'1". Her nickname in school was tree and she's heard "how's the weather up there" a million and one times and it's gotten to a point where she does't even laugh anymore. She just stares at you... like what is your deal. That's probably as sassy as she can get. YOU CAN LITERALLY SAY YOU HATE HER AND SHE WONT STARE AT YOU WITH AS MUCH ANNOYANCE AS IF YOU MAKE TALL JOKES. (<-arguably the most important point.)
- She and Juliet aren't always similar, but that's okay. She can roll with the punches!
This want ad means the WORLD to me and I would love you if you took it. The character and relationship took a lot of thought and moving around to make it work. The accuracy means everything to me because I DO want these characters to get along! If you have any questions PLEASE let me know! Things can also be moved around if you have ideas, but the main points listed above are major for both myself and Juliet as a character. I feel like this dynamic would be incredibly fun to play out in flashbacks and current time. It's hella specific, but SO much thought and excitement is with the character. Thank you!!

THEY THINK YOU ARE MADE OF STONE | THAT JUST MEANS YOU AREN'T AFRAID OF MAKING THE TOUGH CHOICES | TAGGED @vero
| The landing was impossibly rough. When they hit the ground, half the station tore away with all those on board with it... it dethatched and landed elsewhere on the way down. Though it was hard to see it looked like it landed somewhere in the Atlantic. For those who survived that, there was another harsh landing to be had. When they hit the ground, they landed against a rocky shore that killed damn near everyone. Those who weren’t crushed by the impact were wounded so badly they didn’t last half a day... Juliet had stayed on the beach, tending to the five survivors as she was able to move. Unlike the rest her wounds weren’t fatal. She’d suffered a shard of shrapnel lodged into her arm, but she had been able to stop the bleeding with a long strip of tape wound tightly around her arm. She tried to help the others... but she wasn’t a doctor and one by one they bled out... One of them was a damned kid...
She was forced to leave the beach to find fresh water, so she took with her two guns and a bag with a few sets of clothes and limited supplies. Truth be told, she’d been stone since the landing. It had been so long since Juliet had completely reverted into her own protective shell... turning everything off was once considered a disability, but now it was a necessity. She was too delicate to deal with this... She had friends that died in the crash and she knew that there were grounders. She also knew that they were nowhere near the kids... Right now she had to focus on water... and food. She was famished... it had been hours, and even more walking through the wilderness. Finally she found a pond. It was swampy and probably irradiated but she didn’t care. She collapsed to her knees in the dirt and drank feverishly. Quickly she splashed water on her face and even cleaned up her arm—but she heard something. It was faint; probably an animal but it pulled a very violent response from her.
Quickly she turned around and picked up her gun; staying low. She held it, ready to fire... though, she didn’t know anything about what life had survived. She just knew she wasn’t alone. Under her breath, she hissed, hoping to scare off any small animal while her eyes combed the bank. She didn’t call out for anyone; she wanted to see them first. Her vision was clouding though—blood loss and hunger made it so difficult to focus.

THEY THINK YOU ARE MADE OF STONE | THAT JUST MEANS YOU AREN'T AFRAID OF MAKING THE TOUGH CHOICES | TAGGED @rey
| Turning it off was a skill not many people had. It was easy to become overwhelmed with emotions when you felt them... she’d seen it first hand. She never understood it though... She rarely got overwhelmed and right now she felt more for the wounded and children than she did fear of the grounders. More than anything though she was hungry... and that was all she could focus on. When she was asked, she didn’t hesitate. “I... really need something to eat,” she said after a moment as she looked at the flames. “My arm hurts,” she added, knowing it wasn’t the same as emotional devastation. The physical pains were more prevalent than the fear that she knew she should have felt.
She looked around and hoped that Rey didn’t really have as much faith in the barricades as it sounded like she did. Maybe she was trying to help ease anxiety, but Jules knew that there had to be hundreds of them. “I don’t think the other stations made it,” she said after a long moment of thought. “Our landing was rough and we’re nowhere near the delinquents... There is so much water around us... the stations likely hit the ground too hard or landed in the lakes. Or worse, the ocean... The math was off. I don’t even see Mount Weather,” her grim outlook wasn’t spoken with harshness it was just.... fact. “We have no idea how many of those grounders are around here... I feel like... if we don’t leave they’re going to surround us.”

THEY THINK YOU ARE MADE OF STONE | THAT JUST MEANS YOU AREN'T AFRAID OF MAKING THE TOUGH CHOICES | TAGGED @rey
| Juliet was still getting used to life in Arkadia—especially with Pike in charge. They were on red alert; boxed in by grounders and being starved out until they gave over their chancellor, which they would never do. Jules was loyal. She stood behind every decision without even a thought of rebelling against it. She killed the grounder soldiers alongside her fellow guards and she would protect Arkadia from the backlash. She was a soldier... Now, she stood at her post looking over the wall and she could see the torchlight of the grounders in the distance. Curiously, she raised her marksman rifle and looking through the sights, trying to see if she was able to catch sight of anyone who had strayed too close. It was hard to see anything but the faint fires they lit.
As she looked through the sights, a sudden whimper made her jump. It was close. So close in fact that the sound came from below. With a frown, she leaned over the wall and looked down to see what animal had wandered too close. She was ready to shoot for food, but the sandy brown mutt that looked back up at her wasn’t some fierce predator like the panthers they had seen. The dog gave another whine as his big brown eyes looked up at Juliet. Hesitantly, she looked around, wondering if anyone would catch her if she snuck the hungry dog some rations. That was... wasteful. “Hey boy,” she murmured as she looked at him. He had a rope tightly tied around his neck and paint over his brows. He was a grounder’s pet, clearly, but he didn’t have anything on him that made him seem like a threat. Carefully, Jules climbed over the wall. It was impulse, but she was curious about the animal.
She slipped down the side and hit the ground with a soft grunt only to instantly be greeted by a very happy, very welcoming pup. It pushed his forehead against her stomach and lapped his tongue over her hands as she moved to pet him. She couldn’t help smiling. It was rare for her... to feel much of anything. Yet, the dog was adorable. She was quick to cut the tight rope from his neck, where the fur was a little matted and bloody. “We gotta get you cleaned up bud...” she murmured as she wiped the dried paint from his eyes. He was a guard dog... but he was also so sweet. She slipped out some salted meat from her jacket pocket and started walking towards one of the few gaps in the wall. She was the guard on duty monitoring that area so she didn’t think she’d be caught sneaking in the puppy. She led it to the gap and squeezed through, hoping he would follow. “Common boy... come here,” she murmured as she held out some of the meats. Footsteps behind her made her freeze and spin around. “Rey you scared me,” she gasped when she saw the familiar face, hoping that she wouldn’t report her for trying to sneak a dog in.

THEY THINK YOU ARE MADE OF STONE | THAT JUST MEANS YOU AREN'T AFRAID OF MAKING THE TOUGH CHOICES | TAGGED @rey
| Juliet wasn’t crying... Her expression was stone; stoic and gave away no emotion. She felt it, but it was the kind of useless emotion that slowed her down. She’d just helped strengthen the room where they were keeping the remaining children and the wounded—and there were so many. They found hard when the grounders attacked. Jules had her arm sliced open and her face hit with the end of a sword. She’d been cleaned up when she was with the severely wounded but she didn’t stay. The crying children and the despair in the room was too much, so instead she started looking for places where she could help. Sleep would not come... She could smell danger on the horizon and it was terrifying....
When she approached Rey, her teeth pressed together and her jaw tensed. Hell of a first day. She sat down close to the fire, grateful for the warmth and for a long moment she didn’t speak. She didn’t know what to say... When it came to these kinds of interactions, she could never understand sarcasm, irony, playfulness... Rey sounded... fine. Empathy was a learned ability and she’d been comforting others all evening... but Rey sounded fine. “Are you pretending to be okay, or are you really not fazed by this?” she asked after a painfully long moment of silence. “I need to know; because I don’t want to upset you...” She looked over at Rey for a moment before looking at her hands. This was a fragile situation. Bluntness could truly offend those who had lost.... anyone. Juliet hadn’t lost anyone... she didn’t have anyone.
Again, she looked up at Rey expectantly as she adjusted the bandage around her arm. “They’re going to attack again. There... were so many of them.”

THEY THINK YOU ARE MADE OF STONE | THAT JUST MEANS YOU AREN'T AFRAID OF MAKING THE TOUGH CHOICES | TAGGED
| Juliet had never felt so guilty that it manifested in the pit of her stomach before now... or perhaps her headache and nausea were a symptom instead of an emotion. It was hard to tell, but she knew that guilt wasn’t helping. She loved Ivan... she loved him more than she could ever love herself; they had been friends her entire life—but his paranoia, his anger and his constant state of anxiety had made him impossible to handle at times. The love in the relationship turned into ager and jealousy that she knew was not his fault, but that didn’t make the fights hurt less. It didn’t make the paranoid accusations go away... She’d found herself missing the warmth her relationship once had, and that longing had pushed her into the arms of someone else. Bellamy Blake was... everything Ivan was not.
In a time that Juliet didn’t even know she needed someone, he was there. Staying awake all hours talking Ivan through his own mental collapses had become exhausting and it showed. Those she worked with for the most part ignored it, but Bellamy reached out... and she took advantage. She took his concern for more and turned what was probably an innocent act into infidelity. They'd been seeing each other for weeks; stealing kisses in closets and making love in the rare moments of peace that Juliet had. They talked about life and everything that was happening-- they had secrets, but their relationship was healthier than her relationship with her husband had been for a long time. This... somehow made it easier to justify. She cared for Bellamy... but now it had gone too far.
She'd returned from medical with her hand on her stomach and her eyes on the ground, trying to count the days, the weeks, the months that it had been since the last time she and her husband had made love and the fact was... they hadn't. Not for ages. She was pregnant... it was cruel and ironic. Before Ivan's collapse they'd been trying relentlessly... and now a few weeks with Bellamy... and she had everything she thought she'd wanted. Slowly, she made her way down the hall to where she knew Bell was patrolling. Without a word, which wasn't out of character for her, she took him by the hand and guided him to a large supply room. It was one of their more popluar places... only this time she wasn't bringing him here out of lust or sinful intentions. It was panic. She didn't even beat around the bush...
"I'm pregnant-- and it's yours," she said without hesitation as she shut the door. Her eyes were wide, wondering how he would react. The logical thing to do would be to abort the pregnancy, but she couldn't. Not now. She'd wanted a baby for so long... not like this, but it was still a baby to her. "I know it's not... Ivan's. I haven't been with anyone else but you... I don't... know what to do about it."

| ~ • ~ | Character Basics | ~ • ~ | .:Name:. Juliet Emilie Ross .:Nick Name:. Juli, Juju, Jules .:Affiliation:. Arkadia, The Ark .:Age:. Twenty-Nine | ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ | .:Physical Appearance:. Juliet is tall with a figure that was once rather curvy, but during her training as a cadet her soft curves became hardened and more muscular. Her long brown hair is almost always pulled back into a ponytail, as it always gets in the way of her sight. Her eyes are dark brown and framed with medium length lashes. They are narrow and almond shaped with brows that are often furrowed in thought. Her high cheekbones and narrow nose are sharp in shape with prominent bones and though her skin is free of blemishes such as pimples and sun spots, the cold from the landing in northern territories has left her with lasting frostbite scars on her hands and arms. She also has a rather prominent scar across her neck from a kill attempt by an Azgeda warrior. .:Height:. 5'10" .:Portrayed by:. Sarah Shahi | ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. Juliet is a psychological phenomenon and has been since she was a child. She suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder, a mental illness that once had very advanced medication regiments that simply wasn’t a possibility on the ark. Juliet had to learn how to live with the aid of anti-psychotics and antidepressants to try to get her chemical imbalances in check. She’s never been without a therapist, until she reached the ground. Medical has always been her closest ally. With support, Jules has lasted this long. On her own, she’s a shy and quiet girl with a large heart and a need to care for those around her. Her open arms and damn near inability to see the cruelty in others has left her emotionally vulnerable on her own, especially with her rough and choppy relationship with her family. Her psychologist believes that necessity for defense was what sparked her DID and what awakened what Jules calls, the others. They have names that are never really used and personalities much different than Juliet’s. In total, Juliet’s mind is home to three separate identities, though only one is dominant enough to truly be in control. When Juliet was young, she treated this identity like a friend who came to her when she needed protection. She was called Anna, and still is, but in an effort to blend in with her surroundings and to avoid drawing unwanted attention Anna has adopted Juliet as her own identity. Her name isn’t even used—even in therapy. This identity is cold and abrasive in nature. She is closed off to the world around her and the emotions that those around her feel. She’s a defense and willing to shield her sensitive counterpart to the horrors that she’s faced and has yet to face. She has a greater good mentality and is capable of making decisions that harm even those closest to her if it means surviving. Guilt and shame are not things that deter this other from doing what Juliet needs done. Truth be told, Juliet is rarely completely in control anymore. On the Ark, as an adult at least she felt safe and secure and with the help of her husband she was able to maintain a rather normal life. However after landing in Azgeda territory, terror has forced her to recede, giving full control to her protective, occasionally violent other. However, she doesn’t feel guilty for the violence against grounders in the name of protecting Arkadia. A universally accepted fact is that the grounders are dangerous... she’ll never fully trust them. .:Special Skills:. Juliet is a sharpshooter, but that's not her main strength. Hand to hand combat is where she truly shines and she often helps train others in this field. She practiced mixed martial arts on the Ark and used her skills against grounders after landing in Azgeda territory. Now she teaches guards in Arkadia how to fight without ranged weapons; like their enemy. She's not often bested, but is humble in defeat. | ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. The Ark .:Family:. Juliet has no children of her own, despite years of trying. Her late husband Ivan suffered with mental illness for a long while before suffering a breakdown and attacking a guard which resulted in him being floated. Since landing, Juliet has not bonded with anyone enough to call them family, though she looks up to Charles Pike. .:Occupation:. Guard & Scavenger .:History:. Juliet has never fit in. She's always been the black sheep among others her age, and though this never bothered her, it didn't go unnoticed. She had few friends growing up, but being the daughter of two high level security guards did nothing for her popularity. Most of her peers were children of factory workers or laborers who naturally had a distaste for guards and authority. From a young age, Juliet was taught that being liked wasn't as important as keeping others safe. Her parents were not wrong. She met her would be husband Ivan in school and though they didn't hit it off right away, the annoying socially awkward boy soon became one of Juliet's favorite people. When they were teenagers, they became engaged. They were madly and hopelessly in love. He was the only one who didn't make Juliet feel weird for her own social shortcomings. She could always be herself. Not all was perfect though. Before the wedding bells, Juliet’s father developed a drinking problem and turned into a rather abusive figure. He would physically assault her mother frequently and yell constantly. Sometimes he would even hit Juliet... Though she had always been a little off mentally, this was the birth of Juliet’s imaginary friend and ally, Anna. It was also the beginnings of what would later be diagnosed as Dissociative Identity Disorder. When Juliet was sixteen, she lost control of her alter-identity and turned in her father to the guard. He was later floated for assault... Her mother really never forgave her for it. She even felt guilty when she came to... but in the end, he was a risk that couldn’t be taken. Her lack of memory prompted her to begin seeing therapists in medical, where numerous episodes went diagnosed as DID. With her father gone and the risk evaporated.. things went back to normal for a time. At the age of twenty-three, she wanted to have a child. It was the normal thing to do. She'd been spending her life following her mother’s footsteps and had become a respected member of the guard; having a baby was the next step. When they got permission from The Ark, Juliet thought that the process would be rather quick, but it wasn't. For years they tried and tried, but nothing happened. When she finally did become pregnant, she lost the baby in only a matter of months. When that happened, she was quick to have medical re-insert her IUD to avoid another miscarriage. Her husband was so upset by this... Though it didn't trigger the mental issues that followed, her giving up on having a family with him did nothing to help. He started to hear things and grew very paranoid. Juliet worried that his job in the factories was getting to him-- that chemicals were messing with his mind. She was no stranger to mental instability and did her best to aid him. Psychiatrists were able to give him sedatives within reason, and also give him a diagnosis. He was a paranoid schizophrenic, and had always been. Juliet never noticed... she knew he was strange and often irrational, but never with her. It was always with others... but as he aged, the illness took its toll and eventually drove him to violence against one of Juliet's co-workers. Though Juliet was able to stop the fight before Ivan could hurt anyone, the guard he attacked pressed charges. Sadly the council didn't have much sympathy for Ivan, as the doctor he was assigned stated that psychotic breaks would likely occur again. He was floated only days after... Juliet barely had enough time to say goodbye. She's always resented the decision, even if she's understood it. Nobody was hurt seriously, but The Ark wouldn't waste resources on a mentally unstable factory worker-- even if his wife was on the guard. If not for her therapist she probably wouldn’t have been able to cope on her own. She owed the woman her life. When the ark was sent to the ground, Juliet was in Farm Station. She was among friends who lived close to her and people that she had known her entire life and oddly, she wasn't afraid to die. She was more afraid of surviving and finding something terrible and unexpected on the ground... it made it that much more ironic and horrid when they landed smack in the middle of hostile grounder territory. Once again, Juliet’s more protective other took over to keep her safe. She’d been terrified... so much death followed them down. She was quick to fall in line behind Charles Pike, as he knew the most about the earth and how to survive-- and survive they did. Until they found Arkadia... Ever since, she has been working as a guard. She was not stationed near mount weather when it was destroyed, but she still harbors anger towards the grounders for the attack. She was part of the team that slaughtered the grounder army outside Arkadia and she will fight for her people until the very end. She fears very little, as she has very little. A future is hard to see... but she does have a small flame of hope. | ~ • ~ | Member Info | ~ • ~ | .:Name or Online Alias:. Amber .:How Did You Find Us:.
