montiah!! woooo! Monty didn't seem to have particularly good manners, Isaiah noticed. The way he spoke with cake in his mouth and the fact that he had eaten off of Isaiah's fork and then offered it back to Isaiah. Neither of those things would be acceptable in Mount Weather. The residents of the mountain tended to have a high expectation for people to know etiquette rules and behave themselves in an acceptable way. While those expectation probably wouldn't be put onto the new people right away, they would eventually need to fit in. Isaiah wasn't against the idea of helping people out, especially one of the Space People. If he helped out Monty, maybe he could learn more about what it was like in space and outside the mountain. And again, Monty's was a nice face to look at. Less so when he was talking with his mouth full.
Isaiah couldn't manage to agree when Monty said it was just a fork. It wasn't right to use the same fork that someone else had used, unless the two people happened to be a couple and then sharing germs was the least of their worries. Isaiah's eyebrows stayed together, trying to work out how Monty could view the situation any other way. Didn't he understand that it was, without a better word to use, gross? He didn't appreciate the question he was asked either. "Do you usually just go around sharing germs like that?" he said, his voice more of a mutter although he still kept Monty's gaze. "You wouldn't kiss me," he said even quieter, hardly audible. It wasn't the sort of comment Isaiah felt comfortable saying, as much as it was appropriate to the situation.
There was a bit of a more positive spin on the conversation as Monty revealed something about space. They didn't get food like cake. Isaiah guessed that made sense, he couldn't imagine there would be many things that they would be able to grow up in space. A lack of space and the harsher environment it would be. A small smile slipped onto Isaiah's lips, his interest in the unknown returning to the surface. "What sort of food did you have in space then?" he asked, unable to help himself. Although his smile faltered when the fork was casually thrown back to him, Isaiah was still feeling a lot more positive than he had when the fork had first been offered back to him. The fork clattered onto the plate but slid off the edge. Isaiah grabbed it by the handle before it could move any further towards him and his clothing. The guy needed to learn some manners. |

Iah's just completely ignoring the science comment. sorry Isaiah did laugh when Monty asked if people were always as loud as he had been sitting down at the table. Honestly, he hadn't meant to be, although he was pretty happy he was for the reaction he got. It seemed the appearance of the Space People was giving Isaiah more reason to laugh. That could never be a bad thing, and so he saw himself having made the right decision in sitting with Monty. With the stress that had come to agriculture with new people to feed, and the general caution that Isaiah had noticed in some of the other residents, it was nice to have that moment of joy and laughter. Just like it was so much fun to watch the way Monty's jaw dropped and his smile faded. It looked like something from a picture book. Isaiah's eyes flicked from the bite of cake now on his fork and Monty's face, taking in the reaction that was pretty much what he expected to get.
This guy really loved his cake. It only became more obvious just how much he loved it.
The face and the shock, that was expected. For Monty to stand up and take it back, not so much. Isaiah's own face dropped, his laughter softening and his eyebrows pulling together. His eyes were glued to what was happening in front of him. The cake that he had stolen for himself was eaten by Monty. For a moment, Isaiah sat there and then he laughed, a lot louder than his previous chuckles. "Uh..." Isaiah managed once his laughter had calmed again, eyes quickly flicking to the fork offered back to him. "I don't know what space etiquette is like but, um," Isaiah paused, his eyes finally moving back to look at Monty's face, "We don't tend to share cutlery here. Unless we're, well, you know." It was becoming, obviously, a little bit difficult to hide the discomfort Isaiah was feeling at the used fork being offered back to him.

!!!!! It was hard to miss the way that the Chocolate Cake Boy--Monty, he introduced himself as--reacted to Isaiah sitting down. Honestly, it hadn't looked like Monty had seen Isaiah before he'd sat down and Isaiah had been louder than intended. Still, an amused smile stayed on his face, eyes looking down to the way Monty's arm was curled around his plate before flicking back up to the other man's face. It was difficult to stop himself from laughing and held his hand over his mouth for a moment to muffle the sound. I won't steal your cake, Isaiah thought but didn't bother to say out loud. He was too worried trying to speak right then might cause him to laugh more, and he didn't really need to say it. Once Monty realised who Isaiah was, the way he relaxed was obvious, and he wouldn't need to hear that Isaiah wouldn't steal the cake.
Although Isaiah had done nothing to bring the Space People into Mount Weather, he was happy to hear that they seemed to like it there. "And it's good to have you here," he replied, picking up his fork. His intent was to finish off his salad but as Monty spoke again, Isaiah's fork paused in the air. Isaiah had tried chocolate cake before. He remembered being a kid and his parents limiting how often he could eat it. He remembered many birthdays where names and ages had been written on the icing. While it wasn't his favourite food now, Isaiah's eyes sparkled as they glanced down to Monty's plate. Gosh, it was tempting. Not because of the actual cake, but the offer against the way Monty had reacted to Isaiah's arrival. He was just curious to see how the guy might react if Isaiah took some of his cake.
If the adrenaline-like feeling and general joy hadn't been running through him like it was, Isaiah probably would have considered it but done nothing more than that. Jokes and fun were something he enjoyed but something of this degree took a push of confidence he didn't always hold. Today, however, was different. Fork still in hand, Isaiah reached over and sliced the utensil through the cake. "Cake is good," he said as began to bring the bite of cake back towards him. At least Isaiah hadn't spoken his thoughts aloud earlier. He didn't tend to like going against his words, making them into lies in the process, and so he felt a lack of guilt to his actions. The smile stayed plastered onto his face, his heart beating that little bit harder at doing something he knew he shouldn't--as little and silly as that thing was. |

wait what, i wrote a post? New people. New...everything. Isaiah felt like adrenaline had been constantly running through his body since he first heard of the Space People that had joined Mount Weather. His mind raced with thoughts, everything from what it was like to live in space, to what it was like Outside and to little things, like what the people were actually like. Mount Weather was a community and while Isaiah didn't know everyone in it, he wouldn't meet anyone too overly interesting. Everyone grew up the same: trapped into the walls and trying to get on with life even when the claustrophobia kicked in. These people would be different and interesting and there was nothing that grabbed Isaiah's attention more. He knew he wouldn't be alone in what he was feeling either.
As Isaiah walked into the mess hall, his eyes locked onto the table where unfamiliar faces sat. Smiles and laughter and eating was what he saw. A lot of eating. The teenagers looked as though they hadn't eaten in months, or like they hadn't eaten good food before. That was something that Isaiah hadn't considered before then but as he watched eyes like up as a girl bit into a piece of fruit, he was suddenly curious about that as well. Pushing back his thoughts for the moment, Isaiah found an empty seat at the table next to the new people and sat down, beginning to fill his plate as he would always do. Meat. Salad. As he chewed on a bite of food, Isaiah brought his attention back to the Space People. His gaze caught on a boy with black hair, looking at a piece of chocolate cake like it was a saviour.
Isaiah couldn't help but think that it was the cutest thing he had ever seen. Chocolate cake was nice, but Isaiah liked other food better. Fresh food was his thing, a bit of a given being a farmer. But, really, the cake looked a lot better with how the black-haired boy was treating it. An amused smile settled onto Isaiah's face and he couldn't hold in a soft chuckled, his eyes flicking away before it could be noticed he was watching and took another bite of his food. It wasn't long before the table become emptier, people standing, either done with their food or going for second, and Isaiah eyed the seat opposite from the Chocolate Cake Boy. His attention had begun to move off the cake and the humor he found about it, and onto the boy himself. Most of the Space People looked kind but this one boy seemed particularly so.
Without giving himself enough of a pause to change his mind, Isaiah moved from his seat to sit in front of the Chocolate Cake Boy, a soft smile on his lips that only became more amused as he looked at the disappearing cake. As his plate settled onto the table in front of him, cutlery clanging louder than intended, Isaiah's eyes finally came to meet the other boy's. "Hi, I'm Isaiah," he said. A simple greeting. An introduction. Isaiah was going to be polite, welcome the new people in the Mountain and settle his own curiosity in the process. And, he couldn't help thinking, he would get to talk to someone who was easy on the eyes. Not that he would even think of making the conversation anything more than friendly and welcoming. "Welcome to Mount Weather." It was just a stray thought that had run through his mind. |

This seems rambley to me. I hope it's okay! Isaiah didn't think he had ever heard puns come from Bellamy's mouth before, and while he couldn't seem to work out exactly whether Bellamy was meaning to sound suggestive or not with them, Isaiah laughed lightly at Bellamy's use of the word bellicious. It was difficult not to laugh, even when the sound came from his throat with more difficulty than normal. Bellamy's warm and firm hand wrapped around his own, causing Isaiah to let out a breath and his face to relax into a wider smile. The touch was so much more comforting than anything else Isaiah could think of, warming him completely and allowing him to relax more against the bed, his eyes now closed. "Everything will be okay," Isaiah said, adding on to Bellamy's words, stating a fact that he knew was true. Bellamy was there and he was Isaiah's hero. Everything would be okay.
~ ~ ~ The one thing Isaiah needed to do was move. He didn't want to lay in bed any longer and the thought of sleeping more was beginning to make him feel like he would go crazy. That was a good sign, he guessed, a sign that he had healed enough from the radiation poisoning. It lined up with the fact that he was being discharged today, with Bellamy, although he was being told to rest more. He sort of hoped that he could get back to work soon, or that he could at least go walking around agriculture. Something to fight back the feeling of being trapped and the restfulness in his body. For someone who was always trapped--and had only had that proved to him through the leak--he really hated feeling trapped. His legs swung slowly back and forth as he sat on the edge of the bed, his eyes were locked on only one thing: Bellamy. So much of their time in medical bay had been spent holding hands, that simple contact seeming to be so important to Isaiah's recovery. Now, Isaiah couldn't wait to be alone with Bellamy. They had both been through so much but it all came down to one thing that Isaiah was unable to push from his mind, that Bellamy had done this for Isaiah. He hadn't had to...there were other sources of blood for this sort of thing, but Bellamy had. Isaiah's eyes sparkled as his gaze continued to sit on Bellamy. "I'm ready to go, are you?" As if to prove the words he had just spoken, Isaiah stood up from the bed. His legs shook for a moment but they settled. He took two small steps over to Bellamy's bed and offered his hand. "You don't need more time to rest?" he asked, not wanting to push Bellamy if he wasn't feeling as ready as Isaiah was. |

XD Out of any reply that Isaiah might have expected from Bellamy, the one he got was not what he expected at all. Squinting to be sure that it was Bellamy he was looking at, Isaiah wasn't sure how to respond. He knew the saying that Bellamy had used but... and then there was the whole confusion over Bellamy being there, the realisation of what he had done for Isaiah. A new thought popping up in his mind, Isaiah lifted an arm--with more difficulty than it should have taken--and pinched the other arm. The pinch was felt, the small shot of pain, but nothing changed around him. That told Isaiah that he was awake and that he wasn't just dreaming. Bellamy being there, the nonsense words that had come from him, Isaiah had thought that the best explanation would be that he was asleep.
Isaiah was awake. Bellamy had just said that. "Bellamy," Isaiah repeated, his voice was still weak but he put more effort into speaking and managed to make himself louder than before. Maybe it was Bellamy who was asleep, but then his eyes were open and his head had turned in Isaiah's direction. Isaiah's heart swelled looking at Bellamy, being able to work out what he did. Bellamy wasn't from the Mountain, he could go outside, he could deal with the radiation. And he had saved Isaiah. While that didn't quite click completely, Isaiah got it enough in his tired state to feel happy and a little giddy at the thought. He laughed, well, he sort of just let out air through his nose, as Bellamy spoke again. Maybe they were both giddy from drugs or blood loss but Bellamy had to be worse.
It didn't seem like Bellamy could think clearly, Isaiah could to a point. He just felt a numbness and a joy to it all that didn't fell completely right. "Isa cream, huh?" Isaiah laughed silently again, his voice coming out in almost a mumble. "Maybe you can have some later." Suddenly feeling the need, regardless of the fact that it would take a lot of effort to do so, Isaiah decided he wanted to touch Bellamy. He stretched out his arm across the space between the beds, not able to quite reach Bellamy. "Your hand," Isaiah said, his voice almost begging. His fingers wiggled in the air and he continued to look at Bellamy, at his now closed again eyes and his sleepy-looking state. Isaiah felt like closing his eyes again as well and after a short moment he did. Nothing wrong with more rest. |

The first thing that Isaiah noticed as he regained consciousness was that he felt so drained. It was like he had run a marathon and worked 5 days straight during a fruit harvest. At the same time, he felt refreshed. It was difficult to explain and honestly, Isaiah didn't care enough to want to think about explaining how he felt. His eyes opened, the bright lights catching him off guard, having to blink a few times to adjust. As he turned his head to see more of where he was, it was easy to work out where the noises he had been hearing were coming from. Beeps from machines next to him and the steady sound of another person breathing. If Isaiah hadn't been able to clearly remember the feeling of his skin burning, the look of the other farmer as he broke out in the radiation rash, he probably would have felt a lot more panicked about being where he was.
It made sense, though, and that left him in an oddly calm state. It felt wrong to be so calm. Isaiah was never this calm in situations that were bad. He could only assume he had been given some sort of medicine that was causing it, and his mind lazily ran through the medicinal plants that they grew, just keeping himself busy and not allowing himself to quite come into a complete wakened state just yet. His mind froze after a few more moments, his eyes suddenly taking notice of the fact that there was a figure on the bed next to his. Focusing on it, wondering if it was one of the other farmers he was working with, Isaiah's eyes widened. "Bellamy," Isaiah said, his voice croaky and his throat dry. He looked at the tubes in Bellamy's arm, to the ones in his own. "Bellamy." |

It was so comforting to hear that both of them had slept so well in each other's presence. A glimpse of what many future nights could be like if things continued like they were, and Isaiah wanted for things to continue like they were. More dates and more time spent with Bellamy, his heart soared at the thought. Isaiah could clearly see himself waking up next to Bellamy morning after morning, and he couldn't think of anyone better for that to happen with. The softness of Bellamy's lips was something that Isaiah felt he would also never get sick of. He melted into their kisses, his whole body warming from the contact. His hand caressed over Bellamy's side, the soft touch continuing even as Bellamy eased out of their kiss.
Isaiah's smile only brightened as Bellamy returned his compliment, and in that moment, Isaiah even found himself believing it. He felt beautiful there with Bellamy. The whole moment felt beautiful. He placed a few light kisses on Bellamy's jaw. "I'm glad I stayed." He couldn't imagine not having stayed and he knew it would have been so much more different to wake up alone in his own bed after the amazing night he had had. He would have missed so much. "You're a great pillow," he teased, trailing kisses up onto Bellamy's cheek, along his freckles and to the peak of his nose. "And if I hadn't stayed, I wouldn't be able to do this." His hand trailed up Bellamy's chest and came to cup his cheek, his lips moved back to kiss Bellamy's soft ones deeply.
As he pulled back from the kiss, Isaiah moved back enough so that he had a clear view of Bellamy's face. Isaiah's gaze moved over it, over Bellamy's eyes that were soft, his nose, his lips, his chin; everything that added to Bellamy's beauty. "Or this," he whispered, his thumb lightly caressing Bellamy's cheek. Isaiah would be lying to say he wasn't hit with shyness at this angle, looking at Bellamy's face, knowing Bellamy could well be doing same. There was definitely still a heat to his cheeks, but it didn't matter. The smile stayed on his face, unwavering, content to focus on that joy he felt rather than anything else. It was the strongest thing he felt anyway. "So nice waking up next to you." |

A thrill of anticipation ran through Isaiah body at the words that left Rylee's lips, telling him that she wasn't tired. As much as Isaiah would never push someone if they didn't want to continue, he still would have felt disappointed. He was aching and after everything that had happened so far, he felt like he needed to be inside Rylee. At his admission of that, he saw the colour that came into Rylee's cheeks. She looked just as beautiful with the blush in her cheeks as she did without it and Isaiah just smiled, waiting for her response. "A very good thing," Isaiah replied, unable to hide the way his voice was even lower, thickened with the desire that he was feeling. He poured all that desire into the kiss that they shared, his tongue against hers, enjoying her amazing taste as his hands caressed down her sides.
When their kiss finally broke, Rylee wasn't smiling. It caused Isaiah to pause, searching her eyes for any sign that she did want to stop and noticing the way her throat moved slightly as she swallowed. "You sure?" he asked her softly, making sure that nothing but care showed through his tone. He didn't want her to feel pressured or pushed. He would feel horrible if she did feel like that. A smile came onto her lips again with a whispered confirmation following. Isaiah shivered at the words and positioned himself at her entrance. His eyes stayed on hers as he carefully thrust inside of her, but they closed as the moist warmth enveloped his length, a groan passing his lips. "Oh, so good," he moaned. |

<3 Isaiah was warm and comfortable, so much more so than he could remember feeling recently. So much so that he didn't want to stir or open his eyes. In that moment, he didn't care what it was that was causing him to feel such a way, he just didn't want to break it. The sleepy state causing him to just keep breathing and to soak in the feeling of warm skin against his own. Eventually he did begin to awaken, at the feeling of lips pressing softly against his check, with his body rested and his mind beginning to put together the pieces of where he was. Isaiah's face relaxed into a smile but a blush rose in his cheeks. For a moment, he felt a little awkward, just knowing that he was laying next to Bellamy, with both of them naked. His eyes opened slowly, head tilting so he could look up at Bellamy's face, rather than looking down.
The sight of him, the soft smile on his face, removed that bit of awkwardness that Isaiah had felt. He didn't need to feel that way, not with Bellamy. Last night had been, well, Isaiah didn't think there were words to describe how perfect it had been. Bellamy hadn't done anything bad, he had only been kind and caring and... just perfect. "Morning," Isaiah said, his own smile widening. It wasn't like he hadn't woken up beside someone before, it was just always different with a new person. "I slept perfectly," he answered, knowing he never really had issues sleeping but he felt the most rested he had in a while anyway. Due to the warmth of Bellamy next to him and the activities of the night before, most likely. "You?" Even with the fact that he had been a bit put off by initially remembering the night before, in the newness of it all, Isaiah still felt comfortable with Bellamy.
It was impossible not to feel comfortable with Bellamy. He was exactly the type of person that Isaiah wanted to be around and Isaiah was beyond lucky to have gotten to spend this time with him, and hopefully to spend so much more time with him. He turned his head to press a kiss to the soft skin of Bellamy's chest and then leaned up to press another to Bellamy's lips. His heart fluttered in his chest at the contact, the intimacy that he felt in that early morning embrace. He didn't want to ruin that and he was happy he hadn't with that uncertainty and shyness that Isaiah tended to draw back into when things were unfamiliar. "You look really beautiful this morn'," he spoke against Bellamy's lips, his smile steady. |

I wrote the thing. Work was pretty typical. Isaiah was happy, getting assigned to pick fruit, a job that he hadn't done much at all since being moved to root vegetables but one that he enjoyed. It was probably the only job where he could eat and continue to work. Eating a piece of fruit here and there was never a problem. It was going well until the alarm started blaring. Isaiah's eyebrows raised, unsure of what the sound meant, his hand freezing with fingers wrapped around an orange. It wasn't until the pain hit him that he realised he did actually know what the sound meant. The orange was pulled off the branch, hitting the ground with a soft thud. Isaiah's hands moved to his face, running over skin that was heating up quicker than it should have been in the generally cold climate of Mount Weather.
Radiation. As his breathing sped up and his eyes widened, Isaiah tried to work out what he could do. He knew that the room would be locked down by then, that he would have no way of escaping. Whatever was causing the leak, Isaiah couldn't know, and he wouldn't really have any idea how to stop it. There were others in the room. Isaiah started walking, finding the closest person and watching how a rash began to spread over their face. Their hands. Skin changing in a way that made Isaiah stomach turn. His skin would be doing the same. An exchange of words gave nothing in terms of a solution, a way to get out of this. Isaiah felt like a bear trapped in a cage. His instincts had him stumbling over to the door, clawing at it and banging at the metal. It didn't even budge. As the seconds ticked by, Isaiah passed out watching the other farmer try to pry open the door. |

Zzzzz... Feel free to skip to the next morning and mention Iah awake if ya need. Iah's pooped for now. XD It was still near impossible to believe that Bellamy really meant the words, that he really found Isaiah beautiful but it wasn't something that Isaiah would argue. He smiled instead, not that his smile had ever really managed to fade at all. Smiling was the only thing that Isaiah's face could do there with Bellamy, pure joy coursing through his veins. The arm around him just enclosed Isaiah in warmth. He snuggled closer to Bellamy, not failing to notice just how natural and comfortable this felt and just how much it felt like the two had known each other for so much longer than they had. It just made Isaiah smile more, completely overjoyed at how perfect the day had turned out. How lucky he had gotten.
His eyelids fluttered shut at the soft touch of Bellamy's lips, breathing slowly and basking in the kiss to the side of his head. "I can hear that," he said in reply to Bellamy's comment, a tease to the words. He could hear the way that Bellamy's heart beat was slowing and he honestly loved being the one to have made it race. "It does," Isaiah whispered, his voice soft, his body beginning the descent into sleep. How could it feel anything but nice? Isaiah lazily turned his head to kiss Bellamy's chest, his eyes still closed, just continuing the contact and affection. Touching Bellamy was nice and Bellamy deserved all the kisses Isaiah could give him. In the comfort, Isaiah began to drift off. He heard Bellamy say that he felt nice but responded with nothing more than a half amused, happy happy hum.

Isaiah smiled at her reply, her confirmation that she had liked what he did. The answer was expected, the reactions from her body enough to make it obvious but it was still nice to Isaiah to hear her say it out loud. He enjoyed the comforting touch of her hand on his cheek and couldn't help but smile brighter as she looked into his eyes, a softness mixed with desire in his own gaze. Her words were something he hadn't expected to hear from her, especially when he was so inexperienced in what he had just done for her. Maybe it wasn't that difficult to be good or maybe he had been lucky but whatever it was, he was definitely glad that he had managed to do that for her. "Congrats to me," he mumbled with a chuckle.
Lifting his hand to her head, Isaiah lightly ran his fingers through her hair. He smiled down at her, ignoring the aching of his member. wanting to let her recover before he did anything else. After everything he had done and all he had seen of Rylee, Isaiah had grown excited and more than ready to be inside of her but he didn't want to push her to move to fast, or move forward at all. It would be her choice. "Too tired now?" he asked her, teasing a bit but asking with intent of getting a serious answer. "I..." Isaiah trailed off, chuckling lightly to himself, at how awkward and shy he still tended feel about saying some things out loud. Some of things he said in the moment when things were happening were brave but in these quiet moments, Isaiah couldn't manage that as well. "I want to be inside you," he said, kissing her lips again but easing out of it quickly, allowing her a chance to respond. |

Isaiah knew there would be colour in his checks as the kissed ended, gained from Bellamy calling him sexy, saying that he always looked sexy. "I'm not really sexy," Isaiah muttered. There was no way that Isaiah could actually bellieve that, he felt anything but sexy. That just wasn't him. But he appreciated the words from Bellamy, just in the way that Bellamy was so eager to compliment, and the words sounded beautiful coming from his lips. What was sexy, was the way that Bellamy then took hold of Isaiah's wrist, mirroring Isaiah's earlier actions in sucking one of his fingers. Both the sight of it and the feeling of it was better than Isaiah would have thought, especially knowing that Bellamy's mouth had been somewhere a lot more sensitive earlier that night. It was something intimate though, to have Bellamy cleaning him off. The intensity of it only increased by the fact that Bellamy's eyes stayed on his the whole time.
Blush still in his cheeks, Isaiah chuckled soft at Bellamy's use of the word delicious. "Mmm, you're very delicious too." He smiled against Bellamy lips before he was kissed again. Nothing about this felt anything less than perfect and Isaiah couldn't bellieve just how lucky he was. At getting to go on a date with the beautiful and kind guard, at getting to make love to him. Isaiah never wanted this to end. He was already excited for more, for sleeping together tonight, for their shower tomorrow morning and for everything else after that. Isaiah was going to make sure they went on the second date they had already spoken about and he knew it would be just as perfect as their first.
Eased out of the kiss again, Isaiah finished cleaning off his hand, watching Bellamy as he did. If Bellamy thought this looked sexy, even if Isaiah doubted it was, he would give Bellamy more of it. Once his hand was cleaned of Bellamy's come and Isaiah had kissed Bellamy once more, he decided to find a more comfortable position to think about sleep. His whole body felt tired from the two orgasms Bellamy had given him and he was excited for cuddling up with Bellamy's warm body and sleeping next to him. He was so used to sleeping alone but he knew how much nicer it was with someone else next to him. Moving off of Bellamy, Isaiah laid on his side next to him, resting his head on Bellamy's chest and his arm across Bellamy's stomach. "I can hear you heartbeat," he said, a smile in his voice just as much as it was on his lips. If Bellamy wanted him to move he would but there was something so comforting about having Bellamy's heartbeat against his ear.

@bryanbryanbryan <3 Isaiah was overjoyed at seeing Bryan. The clothes he was in much nicer than what he had been wearing for work and his smile so bright that Isaiah couldn't help but smile even brighter back, not caring that he probably looked at least a bit stupid doing so. It was obvious that Bryan was seriously treating this like a date, jut like Isaiah was. Isaiah was relieved at that and it just made him look forward to the night ahead even more, if that was possible. It probably wasn't possible to be more excited than Isaiah was then, it felt like was a current running through his body, making him alert and ready and so darn nervous at the same time. But at least he could laugh normally, which he did when Bryan commented that he hadn't gotten lost. "I'm glad about that," Isaiah said, completely honest in his words.
It wouldn't have been a good night if Bryan got lost and missed the date. Isaiah would have likely went looking for him but Mount Weather was a lot bigger than it seemed. When Bryan spoke again, gesturing into the mess hall, Isaiah gave a slight nod in reply. "Yeah," he said as he started inside the room. He moved slowly, letting Bryan catch up to him as he wanted to walk beside him. As they walked up to where the food was, Isaiah glanced over at Bryan with his continuous smile. "Planning on trying something new tonight?" he asked, the memory of the apple that Bryan had tried earlier brought to the front of his mind. Isaiah wouldn't mind getting to see Bryan try something else and seeing the expression on his face at discovering another great thing. That... felt a little bit weird to Isaiah, to think that, but honestly, it wasn't like seeing adults try new foods was something that ever happened. Especially not simple foods.
Isaiah grabbed his own plate of food, going for something both nice and familiar, and something that was not going to be messy. The last thing he wanted was sauce stains on his shirt, he was already feeling nervous enough about the date. Once Bryan had gotten his food as well, Isaiah led them over to the small table that he had chosen earlier, glad to see that it hadn't been taken by anyone else. It was probably about the most private that they could get in the busy mess hall and that was probably what they wanted for a date, at least Isaiah thought it was the best thing for a date. Quickly placing his food onto the table, Isaiah went to pull out Bryan's chair, knowing there was a blush in his cheeks as he did that. "Have a seat," he said, smile still on his face as he looked at Bryan, even with the added colour to his cheeks. He waited for Bryan to sit down before he did so himself. |
