They had been accepted into a small village, their numbers not incredibly high to accommodate. After all, it was only a handful of them that were here. The others had broken off, trying to recruit but this time to a different end. Lexa was dead; that was all they had wanted. But the new Commander that took her place was not exactly well received for she seemed to be distributing something to the masses. Alekay was determined to figure out what that something was. But not tonight. Tonight, they would rest. Something he was looking forward to, not because he was tired but because he wanted to spend time with Lilly. She had joined them, mostly out of convenience though he found himself enjoying her company quite a bit. He was fond of her; developing feelings for her -- that he would not admit to the Skaikru woman. It would make him lose any hope of having the upper hand, and thus, defeat him in their constant bickering and teases that always made him smile even when it annoyed her.
While the village had accommodated them, they had to share rooms and Alekay, wanted to share one with Lilly. Mostly, because he wanted to make sure she remained safe. There was always the risk of her being discovered as Skaikru and if he was with her, at least he could fight off any threat or work to keep her protected. When he entered the room, he closed the door behind him and smiled, not having told her that they would be sharing the room for the night. "I made a deal with the head of the village," he began to say. "We have a night's rest here, in exchange for your labor tomorrow." He was joking of course, but he quite enjoyed the way he could provoke her, his lips curved into a smile as he spoke the words rather non chalantly.

Alekay could feel the tremble of her shoulders, the wetness of her tears. Under any other circumstances, he might have teased her. Might have made a joke to ease the mood. But right now, he just wanted to hold her. Knowing that they would be together; that they would survive together. A future with her had been all he ever wanted and now, they were given it. The past several weeks of so much uncertainty and fear led to this very moment, where they could finally breathe in utter relief. They had made it. Together. He listened to her explain that she tried to get out, that she had tried to get to him. He was glad she hadn't.
For the simple fact that she may not have been able to get back in. But he needed need to say that. She knew him well enough to know that he would never wish any harm to befall her. His hand rested on the back of her head, gently drawing her back so that he could look into her eyes. Both his hands cupped either side of her cheek, his thumb gently brushing away her tears. "Well then it's a good thing that I found you. Saves you the trouble," he said with a bit of humor, a smile playing on his lips, as he then leaned forward to lightly kiss her. He let it linger, let them both soak in this long awaited moment. For all they would mourn, they would not have to mourn each other.

It wasn't Alekay's own survival that he was primarily concerned about. It was the woman that he loved that was his priority. The Sky People had limited time to decide which 100 they would be saving. Alekay had been chosen but it would mean nothing if she wasn't. He wouldn't go in. He would go wherever she did. Even if it meant walking right into praimfaya. That is, if he couldn't somehow convince the others to accept her into his spot. He would do whatever it takes to save her, and currently hating that so much of it was out of his control. His heart beat heavy in his chest, pure fear over taking him when the warriors were ready to barge in, killing everyone.
Alekay had not see what happened, but the next thing he knew . . . bodies were being carried out. Unconscious bodies. Where his heart had beat heavily before, he felt it cease within his chest. Were they dead?! He asked one of the warriors what happened and he explained that the Skaikru had chosen their 100; that he unconscious were being forcibly removed. Alekay couldn't bare to idly stand by and watch the dozens of bodies going by. The fear was too much. So he pushed his way through the crowd to see the others slowly waking up. His eyes frantically searching the crowd for her. So desperate that when he did see her . . . he almost believed it to be false.
An illusion born of his strongest desire. But the fact that it was one that remained, further convinced him that it was no false vision. He once again, pushed through the crowd to her and as soon as he was within reach, pulling her into his arms and just held her, eyes shut as he basked in relief. Alekay was not one often lacking humor or a good joke at every moment -- appropriate or not -- but in this current one, he had none to offer. He was just so consumed with relief that she was here. That they would survive the next five years, together.

He glanced at Jasper who was already working on the lock. That would be helpful. But his attentions were more on Harper, who was lying on the ground. She then asked where Nyko was, just like Lilly had. The Healer's absence was not gone unnoticed by Alekay. [break][break]
He knelt down in front of Harper, starting to untie her hands. "Are you ok?" He asked her, his voice thick with concern as he looked intently into her eyes. "Are you alright?" He further asked, getting the rope off with ease, not even needing to look at the binds. His hands then took hers, helping her up to her feet almost tenderly. Which only lasted until she was fully standing. [break][break]

He then shoved her back, though she wasn't close enough to hit the wall. Only to make her stagger, or if she was still unstable, make her fall back to her feet. "Idiot!" He lashed out at her. "Oh, I forgot you don't understand Engish apparently," he further mocked. Alekay was often easy going, using humor as a way to cope with most situations. But not this time.[break][break]
"Nyko is probably dead." He didn't know if that was true, but he wanted her to feel guilty. "Unless of course they're still torturing him. Maybe they'll send his hand to you as a souvenir." His tone was blunt. Clearly, his prior 'concern' had been feigned. "You were supposed to protect the group. Not be the reason that one of them might be dead!" He wasn't shouting, but he was angry.[break][break]
"Guess you forgot about that whole blood for blood thing," he added sarcastically, knowing that that philosophy, that belief . . . was far from unfamiliar with Skaikru. "If we ever get out of here, you're not taking your gun with you." Even though she was meant to protect them. Alekay didn't care. He would wack that damn thing out of her hands with a stick -- since he still refused to touch guns. He finally turned to Lilly, and then Jasper. [break][break]
"Any luck?" He asked him, taking a few steps toward the Sky person to see if he could help with anything. His gaze then turning to Lilly. "Be ready to fight. They might take another one of us." It was a possibility. They had after all killed one of their people. When she fell to the ground, he immediately dismounted, running to her aid. But a little too late for she was then flung into the air. Ironic; considering that was how and her had once met. She had fallen into one of his traps. However, the humor of this situation was set aside when there were far more pressing concerns.[break][break]
He had tried to hold on to her but she slipped right through his grasp. Pulling out his sort moved to one of the trees to climb it and cut her down, but before he got even near it, the others advanced, surrounding them. And then Lilly said not to shoot, clearly referring to the woman with the gun. Damn it! Alekay's eyes narrowed at the others, and was forced to drop his sword to the ground. And the visible dagger. And . . . the other small blade. [break][break]

He held his hands out, frustration and concern on his features -- which were not common for Alekay. But considering the woman he loved was currently hanging upside down . . . well, how could he feel anything else? He looked up at her, watching her, making sure they didn't harm her more than what they already did. A gunshot erupted into the air and he sharply turned his head to see the blond woman had fired. [break][break]
"What part of don't shoot do you not understand?!" He lashed out, annoyed that she had broken command. If the others wanted them dead, they would be dead by now. But the fact that she may have killed one of them . . . could easily make them wish to return the favor. "Aren't you people supposed to understand English?!" He further exclaimed sarcastically toward the gun bearing woman. He then turned to the others, speaking in Trigedasleng. "We mean no harm. We are just travellers." Great. Who knows what would happen now. Uncertainty even stronger when they covered his head, he struggled against it, fear of not seeing Lilly anymore and unsure what they would do to her. And if they lay a hand on her . . . he would know exactly who to blame. Skaikru and their damn weapons.

[break] Alekay's reason for being in this particular faction was to protect Lilly. His reason for even volunteering for this mission was as such. So the moment she stepped away to collect sticks; the moment she was out of sight . . . Alekay had to follow. There were so many dangers that existed in the woods, he couldn't take the chance. The healer was keeping watch, the other two resting, so Alekay went to keep an eye on Lilly. [break][break]
But he also had every intention of having some fun with her. He climbed up a tree, concelaing himself among the leaves and branches as he peered down at the beautiful Sky woman. It didn't take long for someone else to join the scene: a massive boar. It would make for a good dinner that was for sure. He watched Lilly for a moment, seeing her back up behind a tree. Wise. Very wise. [break][break]

Pulling out his slingshot -- one of his most favored weapons -- he armed it with a small pebble and launched it at the beast. Clearly, in attempt to provoke it. Which worked. The creature huffed in annoyance, letting out a growl. Alekay struck it again. The animal grew more angry. Alekay just smiled. It was getting ready to charge at something or another . . . but of course, the warrior would not let any harm come to Lilly.[break][break]
When the beast readied itself to run, Alekay drew out his sword, watching and waiting. Once it started to charge, Alekay angled his weapon, aimed, and threw his sword right at the boar's neck. The impact of its running and height as well as strength that Alekay strukc it with cause the blade to enter straight through the neck, creating a clean kill. [break][break]
When the beast fell to the ground, Alekay joined it, climbing down a little before jumping out of the trees. "And this is why you need to learn to fight," he teased her with a proud grin as he pulled his sword out from the boar's neck. [break] Alekay had made a special request to be in Lilly's group. He wasn't about to tell her that, but he at least appreciated that the man they call Kane accepted his request. He did express to him the fondness he had for Lilly, which allowed him to be near her, where he could protect her. But as he previously established . . . he was not telling Lilly that.[break][break]
Speaking of the lovely Sky Woman she called for him, prompting him to turn and smile as she showed him a map and starting planning out the route. While technically she was the leader, Alekay was not used to taking orders for her. He would break them, if it meant her own protection. Hell, he would break them if only to annoy her. It was what he enjoyed most. [break][break]

When she was finished, Alekay just smiled with amusement. "The less thinking you do," he began to say, tapping her head with his index finger. "The better," he teased. Truth be told, he knew she could handle it. He knew she was capable. But he also knew how much was at risk. He glanced at the map once more, quickly taking in the details of it. "I assume we're taking horses and not your people's monstrosity?" What did they call it, the roovery? Something odd. Something bizarre. [break] Alekay wasn't even sure how this all happened. Things seemingly happened so fast, despite the drawn out events. The start to everything was when he'd lost a family member during the Skaikru shooting at the village. The first time they were deprived of justice thanks to the former commander. The second, was the bombing of Tondc, where Alekay had lost someone else. Yet again, they were deprived of justice when forced to retreat against an enemy that had been killing their people for nearly a century.[break][break]
There was no outlet for the pain of losing his loved ones. So he turned to rebellion. Rebellion, against a Commander who betrayed their very culutre of jus drein jus daun. Alekay had gone from Indra's second, to a rogue. He traveled, recruiting others who felt the similar betrayal and dishonor of running from a battle. As a true warrior, Alekay would rather die fighting than live a long life as a coward. Unfortunately, he'd had no choice. Not until he broke free of her command. [break][break]

He knew the process would be long and was slowly building his group of trusted men. Until word spread that Lexa had been killed. He felt no remorse for her death, hoping that the next Commander would be better. Stay true to their people's culture and beliefs. Ontari was her name and yet, there seemed to be something else that broke traditions. He found out more from the Skaikru girl who had run into one of his hunting traps. She explained some nonsense about the city of light. But from what Alekay saw, her words held truth. [break][break]
They traveled together until the threat was eliminated. And now, a whole new one presented itself. The threat of nature, of the world fighting back. No amount of physical force could stop it. All they could do was work together, to find a way to save everyone. But the collaboration of their people, was easier said than done. Alekay was put into Lilly's group -- under her leadership. Ha. That was a joke. Alekay had no intention of following her around. Though, he had to admit he was relieved. Relieved that she was with him so that he could protect her. Even if that was not his primary role. [break][break]
The others with the exception of Trikru's healers, were unfamiliar to him. Two other Skaikru members that he had never met. At least they had a healer of his own people. Alekay had no experience with the Skaikru's methods of healing. They all seemed to be a fairly put together team. Even with the woman who carried a gun -- something that Alekay as most of his people, were wary of. Though his focus remained on their leader; on the woman that he was with and one that he would give his life for. Now articulating that, was an entirely different matter. For now however, they were known as Delta, ready to find hope for all of their people. And Alekay was determined as ever, to do what he could for the good of their own. [break][break]

[break] Alekay had grown fond of the Skaigirl in a way he hadn't thought possible. But with their recent actions -- their, repeated actions -- Alekay found himself more and more fond of her. Perhaps fond was an understatement, but with their undefined status, it was the only word he could say without over committing. Even if he may already be at that point.[break][break]
But such things were better left unsaid, for now. She was a welcome addition to the group, especially wtih their slightly altered purpose of warning other clans, rather than recruiting people to join his cause. Besides, his cause was complete even if he had nothing to do with it. Lexa was dead, but the new Commander was condemning people to ingest a strange thing that made them act even stranger. Which was why they were nearing the next clan, but would have to rest first. It wasn't safe to travel over night, and it was just plain stupid. Lilly's words caused him to turn to look at her, before looking at the others in his group with a smirk and grin. "She says she can hunt!" He announced, clearly making fun of her.[break][break]
"Here," he passing her a tiny twig with a sharp end. "Catch up some snail. That won't be too difficult for you, will it?" He was once again, teasing her. Dismissing her offer with mockery. It seemed the more attached he was to her, the more he made fun of her. Alekay's sense of humor was hardly in shortage . . . even if it came at the expense of others. Others who may not find his jokes to be as amusing. But it was loyalty itself that was prompting him to do this. To get a Commander who would allow them the justice they deserved. They were forced to flee and Alekay felt like a coward because of it. After the Sky Person being given a merciful death and now not getting revenge on the Mountain Men . . . Alekay's thirst for blood remained unquenched.[break][break]

Right now however he was not engaging in anything as suspicious or shady. He was hunting. And from the looks of it, they had caught something. The sound of their trap was what prompted the few Grounders to gravitate toward it. Alekay was the first one there and what he saw, brought a smile to his lips. A sky person was dangling upside down.[break][break]
"Looks like we'll be having dessert before our dinner" Alekay commented in Trigedasleng, causing the others to laugh in response. He moved closer to her, poking her body with the hilt of his sword so that she swung a little bit. "Aren't you a bit far from home, Skai girl?" He asked in English this time, clear mocking and amusement in his voice.

Right now however he was not engaging in anything as suspicious or shady. He was hunting. He had broken from the rest of the group, on the trail of what looked to be a deer. With winter coming, and his unknown fate with this new ambition, Alekay would have to prepare for being out in the cold and thus, collecting what furs he could during the process[break][break]
After tracking the deer, he could see it in the not so far distance. A small smile crept onto his lips as he armed his bow, and pulled back the arrow. He took aim, his eyes fixating on the target. It was the snapping of the twig that made him abruptly turn and shoot in the opposite direction. The deer ran off and the arrow fired right into the tree trunk . . . next to the person's head.[break][break]
Alekay eyed the young woman. She was unfamiliar to him, but he knew who she was or where she belonged. "Branwada gada," he huffed out as he walked toward her to reclaim his arrow. "I could have shot your head." The tensions were still there among both groups, but Alekay didn't have as much ill will toward them. Especially as they were the ones who freed their people from Mount Weather. "Why are you out here?" [break] Meet Alekay! He is a semi easy going grounder, enjoying cracking a joke here and there. He is less serious than the others which can either be refreshing or annoying -- depends on the person he is conversing with. He is one of Indra's seconds, and thus, part of the Trikru.[break][break] Alekay was a part of the war against the Sky people, and then intended to fight against Mount Weather. He is currently plotting a way to overthrow the Commander, gathering other Grounders from different clans along the way who hold resentment and anger for being deprived of their chance for blood against their greatest enemies of all.
