Klara knew Artigas will react like that which was understandable, it prouved that he will be a great warrior who will do anything to protect his people but there was something else... And Klara knew what it was more than anyone for having lived for years feeling guilty for her mother's death so she knew how it feel and she didn't want Artigas to blame himself for what happened that day " It's not your fault... It can happen to anyone... I could have walk on some twig too..." Klara hoped it will make him feel less guilty but she wasn't sure of that.
When Artigas made few steps out of their cell quietly, Klara followed him. She will follow him without asking any questions until she will no longer be able to walk because she trusted him and she knew he will get them out of this camp. So when she saw him glancing over his shoulder she couldn't help smiling at him, muttering "I'll stay right behind you like you told me to.". She knew it will probably not reassure him but she will do everything he told her, trying not ot ruin his plan.

" Okay, I'm not going to be fine but don't worry for me. Just stay focus on staying alive and getting out of here, not on me." Klara told Artigas even if she knew he won't listen to her. As she was hearing Azgeda warriors voices coming from somewhere not very far from them, Klara saw her companion tightening his sword a little more so she did the same thing, at least she tried to but the sword seemed quite heavy to her and she couldn't handle it very well because of her wrists.
Then, she tried to concentrate on Artigas's plan. Sticking to the shadows, being quiet, running if they were spotted. Klara repeated these words in her head to make sure that she will keep them in mind but also to keep her mind busy so she won't be focus on her painful shoulder. "Okay, I don't think I'm able to fight anyway so let's do this!" She said nodding her head and smiling at Artigas. And she decided to just follow him without really paying attention to where they were going because she trusted Artigas and she knew he will get them out of this camp.

When Artigas turned back, Klara understood just by seeing his face that he saw she was losing too much blood but when he asked if she was hurt, she couldn’t answer something else that " Yes... But don't worry, I'll be fine.". She knew he understood that she was lying but what should have she said " Yes and I'm probably going to die in this camp but don't worry for me and run away as fast as you can !", he won't have done that so it wasn’t useful. Moreover, she had to try to get out of here because if she had to die, she won't just waiting her death, she will die fighting ! But Artigas seemed to worry for her because even if he said that if they hurried to go back in TonDC Nyko could help her, she understood that he didn’t really believe in what he said but he wanted to. He knew as she did that it was too late and she will probably never see TonDC again. " I won't give up now !" She said trying to reassure him a little smile on her face. When he told her to stay close to him, Klara understood that the idea of her dying in this camp wasn't a conceivable option for him, he will clearly do everything he could to save her. He seemed determined to get out of here with her alive and this determination reminded Klara the one she had when she was searching a cure for mother years ago. At Artigas words, Klara smiled at him to show him she was also happy that their plan worked and that he beat the guards. They were almost out of this camp now and she was very relieved about that. But when Artigas cut her bonds, she looked her wrists, they were bleeding more and more, she was losing a lot of blood, too much to have time to go back to TonDC actually, maybe even too much to get out of this camp. When Artigas told her to take the guard's sword, his words sounded very distant so she understood she probably won't be able to follow him because her painful shoulder and her bloody wrists made her feel very weak. But she tried not to let it show. Maybe I won't get out of this camp but I have to give him a chance to run away. she thought as she was taking the sword. She had to fight until the end for him because he was under her responsability and he trusted her. She couldn't give up now so she gathered the little strength she had left and she followed Artigas out of there.

As soon as Artigas attacked, Klara saw the warriors get away from her which was exactly what she wanted. Now, she had to get ready to go taking the sword of the guard who Artigas attacked first. So she began to move in the direction of the dying guard as quietly and discreetly as possible so the second warrior won't see her. When Artigas attacked the second warrior, he got him turn back so he couldn't see Klara as she was trying to take the sword which was very hard when your hands were attached. As she was trying to cut her bonds as fast as possible, Klara saw Artigas who was winning as much time as possible by dodging the warrior's attacks but the enemy was clearly stronger than him and without a weapon or some help, he won't be able to continue for a long time. His glance at her gave her more determination than ever to cut this rope because he trusted her so she had to go help him. Seeing that her bonds didn't want to sever so all she was cutting was her wrists and that Artigas was getting tired of ducking the attacks, Klara chose to change the plan. She took the sword, stood up, rushed to the enemy and gave him a kick in the legs in which she put all the rest of her strength causing him to fall down. Exceptionaly, Klara was in Polis to see a friend but she couldn't go back to TonDC without some food for the orphans but, like always, the problem was money. She will have to steal if she wanted food and it wasn't a huge problem for her since it wasn't the first time she stole something. The first thing she had to do was to find a shop attracted loads of people or one with a shopkeeper not vigilant at all so she took a look around her to locate the perfect stand. And she did that very quickly, today, her victim will be a shopkeeper who seemed to be sleepy so she approached quietly to see if it was the case and when she made sure of it, she discreetly took some food. But as she was running away from the shop, she got caught by some other shopkeeper who had seen her even if she had been discreet. So he tied her wrists with some cloth he took out his pocket. And then he brought her to Polis tower to go seek justice to Heda. When they came in the throne room, Lexa was sitting on her throne and the way she looked at Klara during the shopkeeper's explanations made Klara understand that she found her familiar but she couldn't remember who she was. The last time they saw each other was a long time ago before Lexa came to Polis to be trained as every other Nightblood but when she raised her hand, Klara knew that she found out who she was. When Lexa cut herself Klara's bonds, the latter one was a little surprised that she released her, she didn't expect that but she was happy of Lexa's decision and she didn't say anything until the shopkeeper was gone. " Thanks for saving me." she said to Lexa when the door closed behind the shopkeeper. And when Lexa talked about her stealing and her skills, Klara felt like she had to explain herself. "Lex... - the way Titus who was still here looked at her made her correct herself - Heda, you know I won't do that if I didn't need to." She said remembering the times they were playing together, dreaming that one day they both be warriors.

Klara was happy and a little reassured to hear these words from Artigas's lips even if they were probably destined to reassure himself but they really helped Klara too because she was totally scared about what was going to happen to them but she knew she wasn't alone, he trusted her, so it gave her some courage. Once she made sure that he went in the corner and that the fact he was free wasn't visible, she went to the farthest corner from the door and sat down. She took a deep breathe and waited for the guards to enter, her eyes fixed on the door. She was trying to concentrate herself on the plan even if the worst scenario was invading her mind... Few moments later, the door opened and two Azgeda warriors came in. And they began to walk in Artigas direction so Klara stood up to draw their attention and apparently it worked because she was barely stand when one of the warriors rushed on her and the other had turned his head in her direction. Perfect! Klara thought. They just did exactly what she wanted them to which gave to Artigas the opportunity to attack.

"For everything. My people didn't react like they should have because they were scared but it wasn't a reason to persecute your people... But that's how my people had always reacted: with violence... That's the only way they know to act against a potential threat but they should have sent someone to speak with your people before attacking..." Klara was truly sorry. She would have done things another way if she had been in charge because she found Skaikru interesting and she wanted to know more about their culture.
Klara felt pretty uncomfortable because Clarke seemed to trust her at least a little bit even if her friends were killed by Klara's people. Why did she trusted her if she hated Grounders because of what they did to her? Klara couldn't find a satisfactory answer to this question because if she was Clarke, she will probably not trust someone who came from the enemies' clan. So there were two possibilities, either Clarke was unaware of the risks she was taking by follow a girl who belonged to the enemies' clan, which wasn't the case because Clarke seemed too smart for that, or she understood that Klara wasn't like all the Grounders, that she was special and that she wanted peace not a bloodshed. But that confidence and the way Clarke opened her heart to Klara made her feel like they could become good friends.

Klara was very worried about what will happen but she didn't let it see because Artigas seemed to really doubt about his capacities to keep the warriors busy while she will free her hands and she didn't want to let him know that she didn't have the situation in hands at all. So Klara tried to give him more self confidence. " Don't worry, you're a great warrior, I can feel it! You are the best person to do this! You've been trained during years to do this, here is the opportunity to show how hard you've worked!". She smiled at Artigas, by this smile she was trying to show to Artigas that she trusted him.
After her explanations, Klara felt that Artigas who didn't seem very convinced, had now more confidence in her. It was a good point because if they wanted to get out of there, they needed to trust each other otherwise their plan will never work.
When she cut his bonds, Klara saw how happy Artigas was to finally have his hands free and how it had motivated him. And when he helped her to get up after taking the dagger, she understood that he was ready to carry out their plan. That was a good thing because few seconds after they got up, she heard the noises made by the warriors who were coming for us. "You're ready?" She murmured to Artigas as she signed him to go to a corner of the place and to hide his free hands.

Clarke seemed surprised when Klara said she was a scout who took care of orphans. Maybe it was because all she had seen of the Grounders culture was the Jus drein jus daun - Blood must have blood - part which is a huge part of their culture but they weren't all like that. Klara wasn't like that but she totally understood why Clarke could think this way. " We needed to understand our enemies so we could spy them easily, that's why scouts learn English like warriors do. Plus, I find English very interesting and I've always wanted to learn it!". That was true, Klara loved this language since the first time she heard warriors speaking it so when she became a scout, she already knew some words and she learnt the rest very quickly.
Klara listened carefully to Clarke while the latter was talking about who she was. Klara felt like Clarke didn't really know what being Wanheda meant, which was understandable because Clarke didn't know a lot about their culture, so she wasn't able to say if she was this Wanheda or not. She seemed very lost and confused, probably since what happen to Mount Weather. And when she spoke about the first contacts between Trikru and Skaikru, Klara felt guilty even if she didn't kill Clarke's friends so she wasn't directly guilty. "I'm sorry for what my people did to yours." She truly was and the idea that all she could do was apologize for her people who was unforgivable for what they did to Skaikru made her feel very sad but it also made her more determined than she already was to help Clarke!

Klara knew that there were risks and that they probably won't be able to get out of the camp without one of them being seriously injured or killed and she was ready to sacrifie herself by keeping her bonds because keeping them meant being an easy target but it will let more chances to Artigas. And he deserved to had these chances because he was younger but also because she felt like becoming a great warrior was his destiny. "You've been trained to become a warrior, you're a better fighter than me..." She wanted to explain to Artigas why she meant herself by "one of us" without being too pessimistic by speaking of the risks even if he seemed to be aware of them.
"So when they will come back, I'll ensure that they come to take me first so you can attack them. When you will have surprised them by attacking, I will try to get the sword of the nearest guard to cut my bonds and help you! I think I don't have to tell you that we need to be quick but precise, because nobody knows that better than warriors do." While saying this, she came to him to take the dagger. "I think that's our better chance... At least you have a better plan which I will be happy to listen to if it's the case!" Klara hoped he had a better plan because she was totally aware that hers will probably not work, it just seemed too crazy but she tried to stay positive. But she had to stay focus on cutting Artigas' bonds. She gave them few cut and that was it, he was free and she gave him the dagger back.

Klara was happy about how Artigas reacted but she was also a little bit hurted abou what he said to her. " No, you're right. I'm not a warrior but I do know what it is to fight for a clan, my father died for our clan and I'm fighting for my clan as well or I won't be here right now! We just don't fight the same way!" Her voice was becoming louder so she stopped to take a deep breathe. "Okay, now that we told each other what we have on the heart, let's calm down and go back to how we're gonna get out of here..." She said more to calm herself than Artigas.
When he asked her to come so he could cut her bounds and she could cut his after, she tried to figure out what they will do when their bounds will be cut... "And what will we do when both of us won't have bounds anymore?" She asked him quietly to see if he had a plan. "Because if both of us are free when they will come back, they will understand that we are armed and all we will win will be that they will take the dagger..." Klara gave him some time to think about this. "Our only chance is to surprise them and to do that, one of us at least need to keep his bounds..."

Klara was happy because she seemed to have won Clarke's confidence because the latter one followed her without asking more questions about where they were going. They were walking silently when Clarke asked her about her story. She was right, she deserved to know more about Klara. " What can I say? I'm just a poor girl who could have become a warrior if her father didn't die on the battlefield few months after her birth and if four years later her mother didn't die of some incurable disease...". Klara tried to contain her emotions like she usually do but every time she spoke about her parents, she had tears in her eyes. She hoped that Clarke didn't notice it neither by seeing her eyes or by hearding the tone of her voice which had changed. Klara took a deep breathe and continued "Since my mother's death, I take care of the orphans of my village... That's the least I can do."
Clarke probably asked if she was a warrior because she spoke English and all that Klara told her for the moment didn't explain why she spoke this language. "I'm not a warrior but a scout, some day a guard caught me stealing in Polis market but he took pity on me and told about me to the Commander and she made a scout of me... That's why I speak English and also why I know a lot of places to hide. That's it, you know everything about my story..." Klara was still containing her emotions but she tried to smile at Clarke. "Your turn, tell me more about you because all I know is all these Wanheda things but I feel like it's not who you are...".

" They won't publicly execute us, they need information so they will torture us otherwise we will probably already be dead. Now, we have to try our luck to get out of here when we will have a good opportunity!" Klara said trying to motivate Artigas. And when he asked about how they were supposed to escape, she understood that he was totally not motivated, the determined warrior that she met had become a desperate child who didn't seem to want to fight anymore, and they will never get out of there if he didn't help her... "Hey! We will get out of here, I promise! All we have to do is get ready to fight and attack when they will be most vulnerable." It didn't seem to conviced him so Klara continue "Moreover, we are in a trap which means there must be tunnels under this camp and we could use them to escape." That was logic, if there was a trap, there were accesses to it and the warriors will probably not go after them in these tunnels or if they did, Artigas and Klara will have more chances to escape.
About the dagger, it was true that it was weird that the warriors didn't search Klara and so didn't take it but it was hiding in a discreet Pocket of her jacket so they didn't see it and they were too busy with Artigas trying to escape. "Azgeda warriors aren't known for their intelligence, they probably just forgot to search me.". When she saw that Artigas succeeded in taking her dagger, she smiled to him but instead of being happy like her, he was very pessimistic so she tried to provoke him to see how he will react... "Do you really want to be a warrior? Because all I can see right now when I look at you is a kiddie who feels sorry for himself instead of a warrior ready to fight for his life!" She looked at him and then she turned back to go sit down in a corner. "I thought you will become a great warrior... maybe I was wrong...".
